M2C...oh hun. I agree totally with BG. It is very common not to see anything and you FS is a huge twat for making you feel that way. Stay hopeful hun and I am praying that everything will be ok for you.
Love HM xx00
Sorry to have been MIA. A lot have been happening and I don't know whether I would be able to catch up with what is happening with everyone.
BW- bet you are glad with the last day of work... not long to go.
Hi everyone and welcome FG.
M2C so sorry but the hell was the FS thinking scaring you like that! 5 weeks is too early. Are your levels increasing??? Isn't ectopic suppose to be in the tube?? or is he referring to near the cervix????
HM - you're such a cool woman. Always seem to know what to say. Seems like you are doing great. Are you going to have your scan at 12 weeks or wait till 19???
Well AFM, still very tired most days (but getting better I think). Loss a few kgs which freaked the GP out so she got me to do another scan at 10 weeks. Saw the bub and he/she is doing fine. Then I freaked out yesterday with spotting (which has stopped today). The drama hey???! Not sure if I should see GP or just wait for the 12 week scan.
M2C - there is no reason for your FS to treat you like that and to make these few days hell for you! I agree with what you have already been told - it is too early to see a heartbeat at 5 wks - our first scan is not until 6weeks for exactly that reason. Wishing you al the best for your BT and really hope you get the satisfaction of wiping the smile off your FS's face when he is wrong and you have a perfectly fine pg!!! Good luck.
Chez - congrats on your pg and its great that we are due on the same day...pg buddies! I too share your concerns about not yet feeling anything - it somehow does not seem real without the symptoms! Hope that your remaining 8 months flys by.
Kahlan - glad that all is going well and that your spotting has stopped. Not sure about the spotting - I think if it was me I would go to (or at least ring) the GP, just to be on the safe side - but then i'm someone who stresses out about those things. Do what you think you need to, but dont be afraid to ask questions if you are not sure.
Devon - good on you for what you have achieved with your diet - it must be a huge relief, and must be a good start to being at home and getting ready for the baby! Hope that everything continues in the right direction for you.
Janie - 100 days - what a milestone!
Bel - I hope that things are going well with you and your beautiful twins.
Dusty, BW and GB - thanks so much for your support over the past 12 months - it has really helped to get me to this point, and I wish you all the best for your pg and upcoming births!!
To everyone that I've missed - hello - and hope everyone one is well and happy in the lead up to xmas!
AFM - Thanks to everyone for your words of congrats. Our second bt came back good with levels increasing, so now we just wait for the scan...it is going to be a very long week I think! Still no real pg symptoms but as advised, I'm counting myself lucky on that front - at least for a little while anyway.
Hope everyone enjoys what is left of the weekend.
FG
FG - embrace the symptomless time hun - it's so nasty when MS hits (but the reassurance is fantastic sometimes!). hopefully soon you'll get some nice tell tale signs, but nothing too overwhelming - sometimes i wish i'd been hit with that "once a day" upchuck thing - had to be better than 10 weeks of 24/7 nausea!
kahlan - hoping the spotting is nothing major. if you've done anything in regards to DTD lately, it may be related - there is a huge increase in blood flow to your cervix and the sensitivity there can make spotting happen. if it keeps happening, go to the GP or contact your doc - no point stressing for a couple of weeks if you can get some reaassurance
AFM - 16 weeks today - and feeling blah! i finally had a couple of relatively ms free days last week - but came back on friday (i think, maybe thursday) and been feeling yuk ever since. it's not bad enough to take me out of the game completely (yesterday i was cross stitching a project for gremlin, today i'm writing xmas cards) - but it's keeping me at home most of the time cos going anywhere in the car is just icky. oh well, at least it's a sign that all is going well. as is the constant movement when i go to bed at night - anywhere up to an hour of wiggles each night - not sure if it's all the movement we're getting, but it's the time i'm most aware of it - and it's really weird feeling!
have been having some horrific and vivid dreams this week - haven't had a night since early in the week that i havent woken up either in tears or on the brink of tears - nothing about the baby, but always stuff that freaks me out - and is so clear. thankfully i have a DH who, even though he works away, is on call 24/7 to talk to me - so me ringing him at 4am like this morning doesn't bother him. we were both half asleep and can't remember what i was talking about (i can remember snippets of the dream, but can't recall the convo properly) - but simply having him talk to me for a few minutes grounded me back in reality and i was able to get back to sleep. the nightmare sleep isn't restful, so i feel like i'm only getting a couple of hours of real sleep each night.
M2C - sorry that your FS was such a jerk - how insensitive. As all the other ladies have said, 5 weeks is too early and it is very common not to be able to see the heartbeat. Will be thinking of you and for your next scan.
Bel - thinking of you and hope that all is well.
Kahlan - good to hear from you, I was just thinking that I hadn't seen you post in a while. I hope the spotting goes away, I had a couple of bouts of spotting off and on until 8 weeks. OB said it was just a blood vessel that got to full. Call your GP, it might make you feel better to get their advice.
BG - I can't imagine how much MS you have had, I hope it eases soon for you. Sounds like you have a great DH and it is very reassuring just to hear their voice. My DH goes tomorrow to the states for 3.5 weeks, not sure how I will go without him for that long! Thank god for Skype and webcams !!
FG - great to hear your levels are rising. Don't worry about the no PG symptoms, I had nothing until almost 7 weeks and then MS and tiredness kicked in.
HM - you are always so positive - your bub is going to be so mellow with all your good vibes
TL. Numa, Nic, Janie, BW, Nicole, Chez, Devon, Dusty, Scooby thinking of you and sending to you all.
AFM - MS still comes and goes in waves, (TMI warning - constipation is a constant these days and so bloated) but am enjoying twice daily naps during the weekend !
9 sleeps until 12 week scan , had bloods done on Friday so feeling like we are getting closer to another milestone.
Just a quick post for me tonight ladies...DH is being an A hole!!!
LNB, constipation is a doosy hey Mine comes and goes and I find drinking lots of water a treat also try and increase your fibre.
Bring on 9 more sleeps and your 12 week scan...
M2C, stay positive like all the ladies have said it just might be a bit too early.
FG, great to hear your levels are rising. As for pg symptoms...you may be lucky like myself and a few of the other ladies and only have slight symptoms.
Kahlan, hope you had no more spotting today and so glad that you got to see bub's on the screen.
Sending all you ladies lots of .
There are so many of us in here it is so great but hard to keep up...
AFM, DH is being a big A hole!!
I made a roast tonight for dinner and cause it came out a bit dry gee you think I was serving up mud!!
I feel so guilty when I get angry back at him and hope (as silly as this sounds) it doesn?t hurt the baby.
We have tried for so long to get here I say sorry to the baby after any disagreement.
Other than that it's my last week at work before 3 weeks off
Not feeling sick just tired and having some wardrobe issues which I fixed today $$$$
Anyway off to have some lime jelly..yummmmm.....nite all
