Happy 2009 ladies! Hope you all had a lovely night last night (I found that doing the "fake" drinking was a bit of a challenge...poor DH had to drink double to cover it up!)

    Hi All,

Just wanted to jump on and wish all you Yummy Mummy's to be a wonderful 2009! Can you believe that this will be the year that we all finally hold our longed for babies in our arms. It is so surreal.

I will catch up on personals next week... sorry for being so slack!

AFM all is well. Awaiting 28 week check up and GTT on Monday. Bubs is fine and kicking away beautifully. Really enjoying being able to watch my belly move now when they are moving.

    Hello lovely ladies,

I wish i could be posting here under better circumstances, but I'm wanting some advice about bleeding in early pregnancy after a medicated FET.

*TMI warning* - yesterday (5 weeks along) I started cramping and then bleed for 4 hours, needed a pad but didn't soak it through, red and a little bit clotty. Then the bleeding stopped overnight and this morning, there is fresh red blood when I wipe but not soaking into the pad and just a bit of cramping. I'm currently on crinone and progynova. One of the F.S. (mine is on hols) has sent me off for a quantitative HCG today with a second test on Sunday. I didn't actually speak to the FS, just the secretary, acting as a go between.

My theory is: I'm having a miscarriage but that the medication is "supressing" the bleeding.... any thoughts anyone?

I hope you are all having a much better day than I am!

No advice, Ruth, I'm afraid. Unfortunately at this stage there's no way to tell what's going on apart from hanging in there and waiting for the results of those blood tests. If you were 6+ weeks along, it would be worth insisting on a scan, but it's more than likely too early at this stage.

Thinking of you and praying that all will be ok.

Ruth, I posted in the belly buddies thread too, but just wanted to say again I have everything crossed for you that this bleeding is not a miscarriage and your little one is ok. Big hugs...I know how stressful and awful the waiting and not knowing can be

Thanks BW for your prayers and kind words. Congrats on your gorgeous little boy BTW - he is such a cutie! Your perseverance has paid off and is inspirational. Hope you are recovering well.

Thanks Possums - I know you can understand what I'm going through. We are just waiting now... hopefully today's bloods will give us at least some kind of idea, until we get the second lot of results on Monday. We are trying to stay realistic, not too hopeful. Thanks for your kind words.

I just got a phone call from the receptionist and her exact words were "you are still pregnant" but I don't know how she can say that from just one reading of HCG. She then said we wouldn't know more until the second blood test on Sunday and that I should rest up and try to hold onto the baby (she meant this in a nice way). Anyway, my HCG was 2195 (today is 5 weeks 1 day) and I still have red spotting...

    Please stick little one!

Hi girls just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy and healthy new year, hope it brings loads of wonderful little bundles into the world!!!

Ruth: i too hope for the best for you hopefully you will be like many of the women in here just having a bit of bleeding to start with, your HCG levels sound good so hang in there, will be sending you loads of sticky vibes and take it easy!!

BW: what a gorgeous photo, glad you are doing well, enjoy!!!
TL: Sounds like our girls are going to be irish dancers i thought by this stage she would have slowed up, but no still kickin up a storm!!!
Janie: hope the GTT goes well on monday!
Sorry for he lack of personals, i do check in every day but cant seem to muster the energy to write, it takes up valuable sleep time I seem to be totally bu**ered most of the time and a bit headachey just had my BP tested and still a little high but nothing to be too concerned with. Have defiantly dropped quite abit which means big decrease in heart burn yipppeeee. Find this abit weird as they say in 2nd pregnancies you dont drop till you go into labour, but i dropped boxing day and nothin happening still so there you go!
Well hope everyone is doing really well and got throguh chrissi and new year, time to get ready for our bubs!!!!! good luck everyone.

Ruth sweetie when I was on Crionone I got a BFN regardless of the drugs AF showed her head anyhow. Sweetie my spotting was a small clot and then when I wiped and spotting from there. I thought the blood was red but the FS and OB told me clearly it was brown. Babe rest up take care and if you have a moxa stick from Beau use it over your big toe. I was told if it was running down my leg worry if it was a 50c piece or less at a time it should be ok.

Scooby I was thinking balerina or AFL player. Irish dancing will be great too

if you have had no meds, it's highly unlikely to be a false positive - take yourself to dr for BT me thinks! maybe test again tomorrow... and sounds like congrats are in order!

    Happy New Year !!

Ruth - Big hugs to you and that everything will be okay. I had spotting from 5 - 8 weeks and a number of ladies here have had spotting or bleeding so we know it is very stressful. Take care of yourself and thinking of you for the BT on Sunday.

21 - how exciting, if drug free it sounds very positive !!

Tl, BG, Possums, Janie, Scooby, HM, Mel77, Nicole S, Mon - to you all

Dusty - hope you are okay

Bel and Kahlan - hope you are okay, haven't seen you in a while but sending to you.

Thinking of everyone and 2009 is going to be an amazing year for all of us.

    Take care,
    LNB
