Hun i'm 19 weeks and already having that urge off and on (scope out my blog - i've been going NUTS with cleaning and reorganising)!
hehe... I look in the baby's room and STILL see a mishmash of stuff that doesn't belong there. And usually the baby that does! :)
I kind of doubt we'll get the room organised before we move... now we just need the real estate agents to open again so we can find somewhere new to live.
Moral of the story - be organised early!
BW
Good to hear I'm not alone then! I've never been like this. I clean because I have to, not because I want to. Poor DH, every room I go into he's in trouble for leaving something laying around, or because I need him to move something heavy because I NEED to re-organise! Am very interested to see how long it lasts!
god i hope it doesn't last indefinitely! i normally don't like cleaning either - but it's an impulse that i just can't seem to get past. tomorrow i'm ringing my bro and he can get onto the mob who are holding up our shed permit - i NEEEEEEEEEEEEED my shed. i don't wanna NOT be ready.
ooh, i have to get some curtains sewn for bubba room - and paint, and shampoo carpet and gut wardrobe and and and... ahhh, i HATE living like this!
Hey Ladies just a quick post as I have been out with mum today spending up on some clothes for Work and could fall asleep at any minute....
FYI, Myer and David Jones do NOT sell any maternity
Pumpkin Patch was awesome with the sales
FG, best of luck for your appointment tomorrow and Congrats on hitting 8 weeks
BW, your little man is sooooo very cute
Megan and BG, have fun sorting out bubs room....domestic bliss...you gotta love it ;)
I haven't touched mine as yet as it is still a guest room but only needs a couple of things taken out then baby furniture as we painted and built a built in early last year.
TL, big congrats on hitting 3rd trimester today!!
I still have another week and 1/2 on holidays so I'm sure in no time I too will find it hard to get motivated to go back. When do you finish up again??
M2C, glad to hear that the migraine is gone and you are feeling better :)
AFM, 3 more sleeps till our 19 week scan so bring on Wednesday Morning.
DH has decided that he doesn?t want to find out the sex so looks like we will be waiting till our little June Bug is born.
I did want to know but felt very strongly that if DH didn't want to find out I'll go with that as well.
As long as the scan shows a healthy baby what more could you ask for :)
Have a great week to all you ladies heading back to work.
just a quick pop in to say hi to everyone...sorry I dont have the energy for lots of personals just now (not feeling flash)
FG good luck with your appt
and as for cleaning...I already look around and see how things need to be cleaned, out and reorganised!
afm- next BT to check HCG levels is tomorrow. nervous (of course) but hoping all will be fine....I am going week to week at the moment.
have actually been sick this week, with a tummy bug (i think)...upset stomach, constantly rushing to the loo (sorry TMI) headaches, cold shivers....i hope it passes soon and isn't harming the baby at all.
belly rubs everyone
Possums - good luck with your BT tomorrow :crossfingers:. Take care and hope that you get over your bug soon - not fun and another added stress you dont need!
Quick question - when have people needed to get new cloths and what has your progression been - larger sizes or mat stuff straight away. I'm finding that some of my jeans (mostly - and they are fitted to start with) are getting a bit tight around the belly and I'm not sure if I should just get a few pairs of cheap ones (Target is looking good) in a larger size or should I just get one of those belly band things and some longer shirts/t shirts? Any advice?
Thanks
FG
Farmgirl, I had a touch of OHSS, and pretty much had to go straight to a larger size on the day of my positive blood test at 4 weeks. I did find that I was ok with just larger sized jeans up until about 14 weeks or so, and then I started to transition into belly belts (I found the bands that go all the way around WAY more comfortable than the elastic extender pieces for waistbands) and from there into maternity clothing. I think I was probably in maternity clothing full time from around 25 weeks or so, but many people will end up popping out a bit earlier. I'd recommend the larger size clothing as a temporary measure because you will need them again after birth. I'm at the uncomfortable stage where my maternity clothing falls down, but not quite back into regular clothing - need the larger size. Only issue is that I pretty much only bought winter stuff in the larger size and it's way too hot for that stuff right now!
BW
Farmgirl.. If you are looking for Mat jeans I found that Kmart had the best ones that didn't cost a fortune. I think I paid about $25 per pair and I got 2 different sizes to last me all pregnancy. I also found that Kmart's bub2b range was really affordable. Another trick for when you are getting larger is to shop in the plus section of stores. Of all my 'Mat' clothes I think only 4 pieces are true maternity labels. I just kept going up in sizes as I needed them and had the top half altered as I am one of the unfortunate ones who have not changed bra size at all and I am due to give birth in 3 weeks!
Hope this helps!
Belinda
Hi All and a Happy New Year!
Ruth - I am thinking of you and hoping that your bleeding has stopped. It is such a hard time waiting for that first reassuring scan. Just remember that many women in here had early bleeding and have gone on to have healthy pregnancies.
21 - a big congrats on your BFP and welcome to our thread. I remember also reading the posts in here with longing prior to getting my BFP.
TL - WOW - congrats on the 3rd trimester! Time is surely going to fly for us now.
Possums - GL for today... I will be thinking of you and sending lots of
Hello to BG, LNB, Bel, Mummy2chloe, HM, FG, Nixon, Dusty, Megan, Nicole and Scooby and a big SORRY to anyone I have left of the list. Its not that I have forgotten you, it is just so hard to keep track of everyone now we are so busy.
AFM - 28 week check up went really well. Bubs is already in the head down position and the MW seems to think that they should remain there. Very proud of my organised baby. Had my GCT this morning and will know the results tomorrow. Wasn't as bad as what I thought it would be - although that drink is pretty vile (and I have a real sweet tooth!) I'm sure it will all be fine. Now we are booked in for all our 2 weekly check ups up to 34 weeks and also our 34 week scan. Gave work my medical certificate today to "officially" notify them of my EDD. Next will be the notification of when I go on maternity leave. At the moment I think I will work up until Friday 13th March.
Hope everyone is well.

good morning girls!
i feel so far behind everyone! im only 4 weeks! i hope my stay in here is long! i am getting a HCG level bt on wednesday so hope it goes well! have a nice day!
ruth- thinking of you today and fingers crossed!!
FG- hope all went well for you today
21andttc- hope your BT shows things are off to a great start
afm- waiting on BT results!
Hi everyone.... BT results are in
HCG today at 26dpo 10,750 (up from 1940 one week ago) progesterone 95 (down from 107)...so seems like things are on track...my HCG has not risen as quickly this past week as it did the week before...(am so nervous about hcg levels after last time)..but still seem good and nurse said not to worry about progesterone drop
Possums that is good news
Possums - congrats on the hcg and progesteron levels - there is no stress with the P levels dropping, so it looks like all is going well. Hope that this gives you some reassurance and that everything keeps going in the right direction!
BW and Belinda - thanks for the advice!
21and TTC - dont stress, while you wont catch up, you will progress. I think that getting to the 12 weeks seems to drag on forever! Hang in there, you will get there - and there are a few of us who are only 4 weeks ahead of you - nothing at all!
AFM - First OB appointment today at 8 weeks. On the up side we got to hear the heartbeat (178bpm - but that is ok apparently and will slow down as Tex grows - or maybe he is just going to be a stress head like his mum!) and the growth rate is perfect -measuring exactly 8 weeks, but on the down side we got to hear all the scary stuff to do with the APLS and what it means for the pg. Our OB will be happy to get us to 34wks - which is when we can have the baby at Wodonga and not need to go to Melb, but 34wks is no certainty, and we have an increased risk of sudden feotal death syndrome and miscarrage. Much higher chance that our baby will be born by C section. Poor Dr did not want to scare us with too much info, but the fact that he will be happy if we make it to 34wks is still ringing in my ears. I hope that he was giving us the worst case senario, but it will change our planning for mat leave and when we were going to start buying stuff. We are in too minds - start early but run the risk that we lose the baby but wait to late and end up having the baby early and being un prepared! Oh well - I guess we just start planning!
Anyway, that is my news - sorry for the lack of personals but still in debrief mode!
FG
FG- wonderful seeing that little heartbeat! I bet all that other info was pretty overwhelming...i think drs do like to prepare us for worst case. My nurse still isn't ruling out ectopic chance for me even tho my numbers are good. I hope you are feeling OK and digesting it all OK. Sorry, I prob should know but what does APLS stand for?
Possums - thanks for the support - and I do take your point they do like to prepare us for the worst (but this will not be a ectopic pg for you :D)... APLS stands for anitphospolipid syndome - no stress about not knowing what it is - i did not till diagnosed and it is not that common effecting about 2% of the population! Trust me to have it:doh:
FG :crossfingers: bubba will make it past 34 weeks and it already is a superstar :) Dr's need to tell you the worst options so that you are infromed however scary it maybe
