YAY!!! Great to see you in here Farmgirl!!
Hi ladies
Thanks so much for your lovely words.
BG you made me quite teary when I read your post! You're on the home stretch now...
FG we have the same EDD!
BG, good luck with your GTT.. hope you pass with flying colours. And what a wonderful OB you have found. That must be a weight off your mind knowing that he is treating you as an individual and actually listening to you.
Megan, feeling your baby move must be an amazing experience. I hope DH gets to feel it soon too.
To everyone else, sorry for lack of personals, I really haven't got my head around everyone in this thread yet, but I hope to be popping in most days if I can.
Just a quick update on me, and a question...
I couldn't get onto BB at all last night to tell you that I gave in and P'ed OAS again - yep, still a BFP which is reassuring, because I had such a weird day symptoms wise yesterday. The pg book I am reading described the feeling as 'pelvic congestion' which is exactly what I felt, along with a headache, weird aches and pains, a rigid and bloated stomach, sore BBs and a little queasy. But today, the ocassional twinge, slightly sore BBs every now and then, but that's it! What's going on? Is this normal from anyone else's experiences? Or am I over analysing everything despite me trying to be calm and positive??
Anyway, hi to everyone and thankyou for the wonderful support.
xx
Cheryl - in the early weeks, it is quite common to feel EVERYTHING one day and nothing the next - it's also damn scary! i know a number of us have been through strong ms and bb pain some days, absolutely nothing the next - and panic set in each time!
at the stage you're at now, your body is only just starting to get used to the idea of the hormones - they're still rather low in levels (hcg climbing, progesterone sorta climbing but not as much) and you're likely to have good days and bad days. i found nothing bad hit until six weeks (and i haven't eaten pizza since then!) - and then around 7.5 weeks it went away for a few days to the point i thought it was over. came back again and has been consistent in it's comings and goings ever since. fortunately (psychologically, not physically) i've had 10 weeks of fairly consitent 24/7 nausea - i do have good days, but the bad still outweigh the good!
thinking of you hun
BG
Hey girls, haven't been able to find time to post for a few days.
Firstly, huge, huge huge congratulations to Chez and Farmgirl :happyforyou: :happyforyou: such wonderful news!!! Wishing you both wonderful pregnancies! Wow, there are certainly great things happening this year! I wonder who else will be in here before the end of the year?
Miss_c - Oh cripes! I just realised how close we are to the 18th!! How are you feeling hun? Excited I bet! How are all your techniques for getting CB ready going? I hope you feel s/he's getting prepared to make his or her entrance. I'm so excited for you!
Scooby - sorry the pelvic pain is getting the better of you. I get it quite badly if I try to do too much. But the weather is definitely looking pool-worthy for this weekend, so I hope you get to have some nice swims.
Nixon - I've also got an anterior placenta, and I wasn't sure of movements until really late, although looking back I realise that I was feeling them. Don't worry, you'll be getting kicked like mad before you know it!
Mon - was your NT scan today hun? If so, I hope all went well.
Janie - great to hear that all is going well, and I hope your blood sugars continue to behave themselves!
BW - is it your last day of work tomorrow? How fantastic!! I just finished this afternoon, and I can't believe that I've finished. I hope your last day goes well.
m2c - I hope you're doing OK and feeling better about your BTs. Best of luck for your scan tomorrow, I'm sure that everything will be great, and you'll be so relieved.
LNB - best of luck for your BT tomorrow, not too long till your 12 week scan, I hope it's here before you know it.
Dusty - ah, the countdowns! I spent my first 20 weeks counting down to something. I hope that the week passes quickly and when you get to see that gorgeous heartbeat a lot of the anxiety will pass. It's great to pass each of those milestones, and I'm certain that all will be fine.
BG - great to hear that your OB appointment went so well, that must be a huge relief. Great to hear the UTI seems to be under control as well, hope the thrush stays well away. Best of luck for your GTT next week, hopefully all will be fine.
TL - the photo voucher sounds great, it'll be wonderful to have professional belly photos at 7 months!
Megan - great that you're getting some really definite kicks, but poor DH! That happens to my DH too. I think the baby can sense the pressure of DH's hand going onto my belly, and goes quiet.
Sorry to everyone I've missed, I hope you're all feeling great!
As for me, I finished work today!! It feels really weird, and I think it's going to bring home that this is really happening, and very soon too. It'll be great to be able to have an afternoon nap if I need to. I'm also really proud of myself - had Ob checkup on Tuesday and there was no sugar in my urine, and pin pr*ck test showed good blood sugar levels. I've also lost half a kilo on my low-GI diet, and Ob said baby's size is looking closer to dates than it was last time (although still ahead). I feel like it's a real achievement, I've been so good with my diet after my GD scare, and if I can keep going like this, it should put a stop to all the 'your baby is too big, early induction' talk that was looking like starting. So all in all, a pretty good week!
Devon
xxxx
Thanks for your reply BG. That is a huge relief... I guess I am just being extra paranoid at the moment, but I haven't had any spotting at all, which my AP said to expect over the next week or so. Now time to put my feet up for a bit!
xx
Devon!!!! Well done you....that is great news. Watching your diet is a huge discipline and you are on the right track hun. That just warmed my heart to see your comfort and success with turning a situation around.
Congrats hun, great news!
FG- Welcome and Congrats hun...lots of wonderful times to come.
Merry Christmas everyone and belly rubs to you all!!
Love hM xoxoxo

Possums and Wouldloveabubba - I'm sending you both heaps of preggie vibes for the New Year... hope to see you both in here very shortly.
Janie xxx
hey
sorry for another self absorbed post, just thought i would let you know how the scan went yesterday.
it showed an empty sac that measured 5 weeks:crying: i am completely confused and upset and dont know what is going on:wall:
i had a bt today and need another one on monday, if levels are still rising then we have another scan wednesday, fs thinks it might be eptopic?? fs was really rude and horrible:cry: he even had a smile on his face at one stage and then i asked him about my crinone gel as i only have enough till tonight and he says to me " well what do you want to do" WTF!!!!! i am not the doctor and i dont understand what has just happend. so he told me dont worry about the gel, use what i have and a day not being on wont make a difference apparently!!!
so here i am in limbo not knowing if my baby has already left me, or if its eptopic or if it was simply to early.
i have googled 5 weeks ultrasound and apparently its really common not to see anything in the sac yet, but then i dont want to read into it just incase i am lining myself up for a massive heartbreak. so as soon as i know something i will let you know
thanks for all your help over the last 2 weeks, your people are amazing
it is very common to not see more than a sac at five weeks m2c. very common. you have to take into account that baby is literally only a ball of cells at that stage, less then a mm long. it's hard to stay positive, but you need to stay focussed for now
as to ectopic - if the sac was a uterine sac, he's talking out his ass and scaring you for no reason!
good luck with follow up bt
M2C  sweetie you may not know for awhile yet sweet we are here for you either way sweet
M2C...oh hun. I agree totally with BG. It is very common not to see anything and you FS is a huge twat for making you feel that way. Stay hopeful hun and I am praying that everything will be ok for you.
Love HM xx00
Hi girls,
Sorry to have been MIA. A lot have been happening and I don't know whether I would be able to catch up with what is happening with everyone.
BW- bet you are glad with the last day of work... not long to go.
Hi everyone and welcome FG.
M2C so sorry but the hell was the FS thinking scaring you like that! 5 weeks is too early. Are your levels increasing??? Isn't ectopic suppose to be in the tube?? or is he referring to near the cervix????
HM - you're such a cool woman. Always seem to know what to say. Seems like you are doing great. Are you going to have your scan at 12 weeks or wait till 19???
Well AFM, still very tired most days (but getting better I think). Loss a few kgs which freaked the GP out so she got me to do another scan at 10 weeks. Saw the bub and he/she is doing fine. Then I freaked out yesterday with spotting (which has stopped today). The drama hey???! Not sure if I should see GP or just wait for the 12 week scan.
Hello all,
M2C - there is no reason for your FS to treat you like that and to make these few days hell for you! I agree with what you have already been told - it is too early to see a heartbeat at 5 wks - our first scan is not until 6weeks for exactly that reason. Wishing you al the best for your BT and really hope you get the satisfaction of wiping the smile off your FS's face when he is wrong and you have a perfectly fine pg!!! Good luck.
Chez - congrats on your pg and its great that we are due on the same day...pg buddies! I too share your concerns about not yet feeling anything - it somehow does not seem real without the symptoms! Hope that your remaining 8 months flys by.
Kahlan - glad that all is going well and that your spotting has stopped. Not sure about the spotting - I think if it was me I would go to (or at least ring) the GP, just to be on the safe side - but then i'm someone who stresses out about those things. Do what you think you need to, but dont be afraid to ask questions if you are not sure.
Devon - good on you for what you have achieved with your diet - it must be a huge relief, and must be a good start to being at home and getting ready for the baby! Hope that everything continues in the right direction for you.
Janie - 100 days - what a milestone!
Bel - I hope that things are going well with you and your beautiful twins.
Dusty, BW and GB - thanks so much for your support over the past 12 months - it has really helped to get me to this point, and I wish you all the best for your pg and upcoming births!!
To everyone that I've missed - hello - and hope everyone one is well and happy in the lead up to xmas!
AFM - Thanks to everyone for your words of congrats. Our second bt came back good with levels increasing, so now we just wait for the scan...it is going to be a very long week I think! Still no real pg symptoms but as advised, I'm counting myself lucky on that front - at least for a little while anyway.
Hope everyone enjoys what is left of the weekend.
FG
FG - embrace the symptomless time hun - it's so nasty when MS hits (but the reassurance is fantastic sometimes!). hopefully soon you'll get some nice tell tale signs, but nothing too overwhelming - sometimes i wish i'd been hit with that "once a day" upchuck thing - had to be better than 10 weeks of 24/7 nausea!
kahlan - hoping the spotting is nothing major. if you've done anything in regards to DTD lately, it may be related - there is a huge increase in blood flow to your cervix and the sensitivity there can make spotting happen. if it keeps happening, go to the GP or contact your doc - no point stressing for a couple of weeks if you can get some reaassurance
AFM - 16 weeks today - and feeling blah! i finally had a couple of relatively ms free days last week - but came back on friday (i think, maybe thursday) and been feeling yuk ever since. it's not bad enough to take me out of the game completely (yesterday i was cross stitching a project for gremlin, today i'm writing xmas cards) - but it's keeping me at home most of the time cos going anywhere in the car is just icky. oh well, at least it's a sign that all is going well. as is the constant movement when i go to bed at night - anywhere up to an hour of wiggles each night - not sure if it's all the movement we're getting, but it's the time i'm most aware of it - and it's really weird feeling!
have been having some horrific and vivid dreams this week - haven't had a night since early in the week that i havent woken up either in tears or on the brink of tears - nothing about the baby, but always stuff that freaks me out - and is so clear. thankfully i have a DH who, even though he works away, is on call 24/7 to talk to me - so me ringing him at 4am like this morning doesn't bother him. we were both half asleep and can't remember what i was talking about (i can remember snippets of the dream, but can't recall the convo properly) - but simply having him talk to me for a few minutes grounded me back in reality and i was able to get back to sleep. the nightmare sleep isn't restful, so i feel like i'm only getting a couple of hours of real sleep each night.
Hi Everyone -
M2C - sorry that your FS was such a jerk - how insensitive. As all the other ladies have said, 5 weeks is too early and it is very common not to be able to see the heartbeat. Will be thinking of you and  for your next scan.
Bel - thinking of you and hope that all is well.
Kahlan - good to hear from you, I was just thinking that I hadn't seen you post in a while. I hope the spotting goes away, I had a couple of bouts of spotting off and on until 8 weeks. OB said it was just a blood vessel that got to full. Call your GP, it might make you feel better to get their advice.
BG - I can't imagine how much MS you have had, I hope it eases soon for you. Sounds like you have a great DH and it is very reassuring just to hear their voice. My DH goes tomorrow to the states for 3.5 weeks, not sure how I will go without him for that long! Thank god for Skype and webcams !!
FG - great to hear your levels are rising. Don't worry about the no PG symptoms, I had nothing until almost 7 weeks and then MS and tiredness kicked in.
HM - you are always so positive - your bub is going to be so mellow with all your good vibes :)
TL. Numa, Nic, Janie, BW, Nicole, Chez, Devon, Dusty, Scooby thinking of you and sending :bellyrubs: to you all.
AFM - MS still comes and goes in waves, (TMI warning - constipation is a constant these days and so bloated) but am enjoying twice daily naps during the weekend !
9 sleeps until 12 week scan , had bloods done on Friday so feeling like we are getting closer to another milestone.
Take care,
LNB
Just a quick post for me tonight ladies...DH is being an A hole!!!
LNB, constipation is a doosy hey  Mine comes and goes and I find drinking lots of water a treat also try and increase your fibre.
Bring on 9 more sleeps and your 12 week scan...
M2C, stay positive like all the ladies have said it just might be a bit too early.
FG, great to hear your levels are rising. As for pg symptoms...you may be lucky like myself and a few of the other ladies and only have slight symptoms.
Kahlan, hope you had no more spotting today and so glad that you got to see bub's on the screen.
Sending all you ladies lots of :bellyrubs::bellyrubs::bellyrubs:.
There are so many of us in here it is so great but hard to keep up...
AFM, DH is being a big A hole!!
I made a roast tonight for dinner and cause it came out a bit dry gee you think I was serving up mud!!
I feel so guilty when I get angry back at him and hope (as silly as this sounds) it doesn?t hurt the baby.
We have tried for so long to get here I say sorry to the baby after any disagreement.
Other than that it's my last week at work before 3 weeks off
Not feeling sick just tired and having some wardrobe issues which I fixed today $$$$
Anyway off to have some lime jelly..yummmmm.....nite all
Hi all my lovely friends,
Just a couple of personals and I'll get back into it this week.
M2C- I really think your FS scared you unnecessarily regarding a possible ectopic. I have suffered an ectopic and I don't think the info he gave you is correct. Also I agree totally with the other ladies here that it really is probably just too early for you right now. I am thinking of you and know how stressful all these testing times can be.
LNB- I am with on the constipation issue. I was so excited yesterday when I actually had a "normal" toilet visit!! AND we have our 12 week scan on the same day. I can't wait either.
FG- Great news on the levels rising nicely. You will feel so much better and reassured when you see your little one on the screen.
Kahlan- Sorry you have had some spotting. I say do whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you need some reassurance (as I did) speak to your Dr. Hoping all has settled down now xx
BG- The dreams sound horrible you poor thing. So happy that you can contact DH. Sometimes it's hard for me to contact my DH when he is away and sometimes you really just need to hear their voice and reassurance.
Sorry if I missed you. It's late and I'm sleepy.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Sorry I have been MIA again. Things seem to have started to settle down quite a bit for me. Had practically no old blood on Thurs and Fri, but just a little bit again this weekend. Had a moment of clarity the other night, where I just knew everything would be alright..that our 2 precious babies would be ok. I'm n a much better place now and am looking forward to DH and I seeing our babies again in 9 sleeps for our 12 week scan.
Nighty night all. Am thinking of each and everyone of you wonderful ladies.
Big hugs Bel
Kahlan, gorgeous, you are so kind and giving. Thank you. I will go for a 20 week scan i think...although i have been a bit naughty and i still have to book for my midwife appointment and check up for the 12/13 weeks. I think i am rebelling!:shhh:
Hun i hope the spotting doesn't go on for too long and it is nothing too serious. If it was a one off i wouldn't worry but if it keeps going i would say something of course to you GP. You will know what is best hun...but apparently it is oh so common as girls in here will attest!
Farmgirl, Great going sunshine:clap: that is wonderful news that your levels are rising and all is going well. Make the most of every moment hun ...especially the symptom free ones!! LOL
LNB, Thanks babe, Awww you are so lovely. You know i hope we have a calm little one...that would be a great plan!;) Enjoy those naps hun and I can't believe youa re 9 sleeps away from that scan....HOW EXCITING!! Horrid MS stay away...no more waves for LNB please.
BG- Oh hun that MS has got it's ugly claws dug in hasn't it. I hope it eases soon hun. You have certainly kept yourself busy. Oh cards...everytime i hear someone is doing cards i feel dreadful i haven't done them in years. I will have to start again one day... And the cross stitch...what a wonderful way to welcome your little bub.
Bless your DH, aren't they wonderful friends to us. Those dreams sound troubling and I hope they rest for you soon. Your subconscious is giving you a good run that is for sure. I hope they bring things to the surface for you to deal with, but at the very least you are getting to talk to that wonderful hubby of yours...despite the fact that neither of you remember the conversations. HA LOL, so funny. Love it.
Nic, you know i have always believed that it is ok to get angry and sad as long as you explain yourself to your bubs. You are doing that hun. You are human and saying sorry is a wonderful way of showing your baby respect and love. That communication is wonderful. Just be kind to yourself, don't blame yourself or put yourself down hun to do so, which i am sure you are not...it is sometimes hard for me. Teach your baby forgiveness and confidence....which you are already doing. How wonderful that this is second nature for you. As for hubby and your lovely roast..he hee, well i hope he suffered a little. LOL boys can be so mean and cheeky sometimes. Tell him to go and get maccas next time. LOL:clap:
Bel, Hun that is great news. I am so happy for you. And that moment of clarity...how fantastic. I hope it will keep going swimmingly and you can see those cherubs again real soon. xxoox Hugs to you hun for getting through the rough spots.
M2C- Thinking of you hun and hoping you are ok. My fingers are crossed and i am praying for you. xoxo
Possums, Devon, Numa, Mon, WLB, Chez, TL, Janie, BW, Nicole, Dusty, Scooby and any other ladies i have missed:loveshower:to you all.
AFM- We are going great guns. I have started my blog and started saying my goodbyes to my LTTTC Journal #3...lucky third. It was a big step for me but I am ready to take on the world. Well, one step at a time.
We are just over 10 weeks now and counting down to Boxing Day when we hit the 3 month milestone. So so exciting and will be a bit of a teary day i suspect...only cause i think about it now and the excitement leaves a lump in my throat. He hee, we shall see!
I have had a couple of good days where the queasiness is starting to ease a bit...not so much 24/7. Had a few good meals that have gone down a treat and i haven't felt horrid afterwards. I am so pleased with this, it means i get some better nutrition into me. So fingers crossed i will see the MS ease more and more each day...and by Xmas i can eat up. Yay.
Sorry TMI....Noticed in the shower this morning that i had some...tiny bit, of creamy stuff in the crease of my nipples. As you all know so well bb inspection is a full on in the first tri...and this was a discovery. It must be a bit of colostrum starting to come out...pretty cool i guess but it did shock me a little at first.
Anyway i will stop blabbing and do some housework while i feel remotely like doing it.
Love and rubs to you all
HM xoxoxo
Hey Hm - (TMI about to come) I have got that too....yellow-y creamy in colour. I don't know what to do with it though. It has been there for a couple of weeks and I can't exactly take a scrubbing brush
to it so I guess I just leave it be?
Hi and Belly rubs to everyone - no personals today, but just wanted to catch you all up on the calm birth class.....
We finished our class last week and let me tell ya....I can't wait for my baby's birthday. I am super psych'd to do this naturally and I am feeling suprememly confident that my baby will know how to be born and my body knows how to birth my baby. I would hightly recommend these classes - even if you are having a planned C/S or plan to have other forms of pain relief. The people I did the class with did not judge anyone about their choices for birth and the class really is a lot more than just breathing techniques. I feel so much more connected to my husband and baby now and I have really minimal if any anxiety about the remaining 21 weeks and the birth day.
Anyway - if any one wants more info ask away.....I'd be happy to give more detail on this subject (I'm not an expert, but could give you some more about the class content).
Any-hoo, super excited, only 2 more sleeps til our 19 week scan. We have decided not to find out the sex of the baby (unless the baby really wants us to know and is sitting spread-eagled facing the U/s and there's no getting around it)
Best be off - thinking of you all.
X
Hey Girls it is Colustrum comes and goes but all a good sign. PawPaw ointment helps if the nipples start to crack
AFM: Moving day and 24 week check up tommorrow may not have the net tonight or tomorrow though
Oh TL- goodluck on the moving day. Hmmm watching the men in your life move boxes...what a way to spend a day.LOL
Nixon, Yep it is all cool like TL said. I just rub it in..it is a little oily and i figure pretty good for the area...but to be honest there really isn't much. Hun...you have to go a long way for it to be TMI for this chook. My boobs, belly, hips and thighs get a good rub down with almond oil twice a day after each shower. So hopefully my plan is to avoid dry cracked nipples...if i can help it...but i guess hormones can have a mind of their own. Oh stay away stretch marks too. LOL I am so proud and thrilled for you hun that you have found such confidence in yourself, your relationship and your baby. Calm Birth is quite similar to Hypnobirthing. I think the big difference is the language used. But both are meant to be absolutely brilliant. I have read the book and the change over me back then and again recently was wonderful. I watched a friend and my SIL find immense confidence in their bodies and becoming a mum, birthing and coping with pg issues. The change i saw in my SIL was incredible. She went from being very unsure and not confident, with average and common fears about everything to wanting to be at my baby's birth to witness a live birth again...she loved it. That is something i thought she would never want to do, and she is a tough cookie to crack.
Boy i go on...sorry. I am thrilled for you hun and wish you all the luck for the 20 week scan and beyond.
Love and luck to you xpoxox
M2C- I really hope things are OK...what an awful time you've been going through... my thoughts go to you. You FS does not sound at all understanding which must add to the stress. As for the ectopic...I really hope not. (you can have a sac in your uterus and have an ectopic, but usually there is a lot of pain and cramping with an ectopic).
I hope it was just too early to see anything at the scan. and everything comes up just fine
Bel- wow you are nearly out of the first trimester! so glad you are in a better place now
Janie..thanks for the nice wishes
everyone else...hope things are going along smoothly for you
hi girls
and sorry no time for personals (off to play lunch lady at the school canteen for the last time ) Just wanted to pop in and say hello and i have been reading but havent had much time to post as what was suppose to be the end of the chrissi rush last week is dragging on . My FIL has been sick and we were told he wouldnt make it but thankfully hes pulled through and doing really well, which is great.
M2C: just wanted to send loads of gentle cyber hugs and i can only reiterate what the other girls have said, stay positive (as hard as that is) and we are all thinking of you!
Well catch you all soon, take care :grouphug:
UPDATE:
Ok fs just rang and said that my levels are still rising, saturday they were 5257 and this morning there 5900. fs doesnt want to wait till wednesday to do scan, he wants to do it tomorrow and he said in a stupid voice " well we better see something tomorrow"
i am scared :crying: and i dont know what to do
i have done so much research over the weekend with people that are experiencing the samething as i am and they waited for 2 weeks before having another scan and they found a baby with a healthy little heartbeat. i am worried that if we dont see any change tomorrow he is going to want to operate or d&C or something like that, but i am worried that we wouldnt of given it enough time, its only been 4 days since the last scan.
but then if i dont go with his advise and i come home and a couple of days later i end up in hospital cos its eptopic, i will be upset cos i have allowed the damage that an eptopic can cause cos i didnt listen to the professional ykwim?
oh god help i need advise i dont know what to do!!!!
do you think much would of changed in 4 days?? what happens if the scan tomorrow shows no sign of eptopic and also no change in the sac, what do i do then???
if it was eptopic wouldnt i be in some sort of pain by now?? or have some sort of sign that something isnt right??? i have no pain or discomfort and i have no cramps or bleeding, everything feels fine.
oh sh*t i just want this night mare to be over, i am tired and i dont know how much more physically or mentally i can take.
if you were measuring five weeks at last scan, you should be 5w 4 days by tomorrow - at that point, you should see a heartbeat on an internal scan - at the least, you'd see fetal pole etc. they definitely should be able to see more - i would think at this stage the scan would be able to confirm the progress for you one way or another
Hi ladies
Wow this is a very busy thread ATM!
M2C - I just had to make you the top of my list of ladies to respond to. I support what everyone else has said, maybe it is just too early. I can't speak from experience with these things hun but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Hope the bt shows your levels continuing to rise
BG - you poor thing - 24/7 MS and nightmares. You must be exhausted. Is there anything herbal that is safe for you to take to help you sleep. I remember my chiro told me about a pg lady who was going through an ugly divorce and he had her on Blackmore's Passioflora (sp?) tablets throughout the whole pregnancy to help with stress and sleeping. Maybe you can look into it if it continues?
HM - you are such an inspiration to be so calm. I had a major panic attack today because I have had a few days of basically no symptoms so needed to buy a HPT while on my lunch break and did it in the toilet at work. Luckily it was a BFP and I was so relieved... I think I need some of your calmness. If only it could be sent over the net ;) Oh and 3 months on Boxing Day - what a great gift!
TL - good luck with moving hun. It is never fun but especially not fun when pg and just before Christmas as well. Hope it is all calm and serene at your house! Hope the checkup went well.
Nixon - the calm birth class is something that I think I should definitely look into. Is it only run in Sydney? Do they do weekend classes? What a reassurance it must be to feel so confident about the whole birthing process.
Bel - you are also sounding so positive and confident. Maybe it will start rubbing off on the rest of us all of the confidence that is going around.
FG - hope the next 8 months flys for you too.
AFM - as I posted above, I had to do a panic HPT at lunch time just to check. Yep, still pg, so that is a relief. I know I should be happy about the lack of symptoms but this all seems so surreal at the moment, and we have made major plan changes to our wedding (which was going to be 22 August 09 - clearly that won't work!) to now the end of February. GP visit is tomorrow morning so hopefully I will have bt results tomorrow afternoon, which will make me feel a lot better to know the levels etc. and have some idea of where our journey will take us next.
Anyway, must jump in the shower before dinner. A big hi :loveshower: to all that I didn't get to for personals, this thread is so busy I can't keep up!
Take care all
xx
Hi M2C
Our posts overlapped. You must be beside yourself with worry. BG's advice sounds very sensible and your levels have continued to rise. And remember, you can always ask for a second opinion if you feel like you are being forced down a road you are not ready to take. My thoughts and prayers are with you hun :pray::pray:
xx
Hi Ladies -
M2C - I support what all the other ladies have said and will be sending lots of  to you. Take care.
Bel - great to hear you are doing well and the twin bubbas are fine also. The 23rd seems so far away but only 8 sleeps to go !
Chez67 - good luck with your GP tomorrow and good for you for doing the HPT again today, if it makes you feel better - go for it :)
HM - you always have such interesting posts, I love reading them !
Nixon - I'm going to look into the Calm Birthing as at the moment we don't really have a plan or strong opinion on the birthing but the calm birth sounds like it might suit DH and I.
TL - good luck with the move tomorrow - hope it goes well and you get settled in soon.
Huge :bellyrubs: to everyone else.
AFM - DH is jetting his way to Chicago so it is me and the pooch for 3 weeks! The house is so quiet without him and I am already talking to the dog constantly :)
MS was mild today so hoping that what I read about it starting to taper at 11 weeks is true - sorry for BG that you still suffer so terribly with it.
Take care,
LNB
my ms did start to taper - right on 11 weeks - but it's still hanging around now enough to drive me batty - it's not "omg where's the bucket" status very often any more - but enough to bug me and make daily life so much more difficult
Oh dear M2C..what a time for you. Depending on each and every bub and moments in their development hun...4 days can mean a major growth spurt or not much at all. Like BG said you should be able to see some change. At the end of the day hun, i would have the scan like he said but he can not under any circumstances make you go to Op or D&C without your consent. You choose this so the power is with you no matter how much he might bully. Unless of course there is an emergency but it sounds like that won't be the case. As for Ectopic, am a bit confused to what date you are at...you would expect to be in pain by 6 weeks. 6-8weeks depending on where the ectopic is...and how much space it has to grow before upsetting things and rupturing.
You are doing so well and try not to get ahead of yourself. One step at a time and one day at a time. It is so so hard babe but you can do this for your bubs. Keep reassuring your baby everything will be ok, it is safe and you are there to take care of it. Be brave hun and try really hard to get some time to meditate and sleep. You really need to rest right now. Try giving your worries to your hubby for a few hours and go to bed for a bit for some quiet time. It sounds funny but releasing that weight off your shoulders for a moment might not sound like it is possible...but it will help a little. You really need to rest you body and mind.
Oh just remember...saw this show on BBC1 the other night that was so so interesting. Did you know that human mammals have the most intrusive, destructive, and parasitic placentas in the animal kingdom. It is just incredible what that placenta will do for a good food source and life line for our babies. The show was about the 'war' that the mothers body and growing baby will go through to each survive the process of pregnancy and birth. I don't like the word war but it is how they explained it. That placenta eats into the side of your womb with vengeance and destruction to get what it needs and to the extent that it likes to be swimming in rich blood. So it will damage the wall to get a good pool of blood to sit in and grow with. The hormones and other processes going on affect our bodies massively but most of the time this stays in fine balance. Sometimes it is a little off and it is touch a go but it is truly amazing how it works.
Good luck for tomorrow and i sure everything will be fine. Try not to be attached to the scan results and know that in a couple of weeks all will be a different story and that little bub will be growing great guns. It is still very early for you hun so try to go easy on yourself.
Love and wishes HM xoxo
LNB- Thanks hun, that is a wonderful thing to say. I am so chuffed for you that MS seems to be taking a holiday for you...hope it is a long one. It might come and go for a bit until it is gone. I find that is what is happening to me too. Yeah Sorry BG! xox
Chezza!- Oh babe that calm will come, give it time. Know that it is coming. I have been blessed with a pretty good ride and nothing much else to think or worry about so we are in a good space for it. It is so challenging when that is not the case. When i had my miscarriage i was beside myself with worry. This time it just feels different and i can't deny that feeling which is nice. I just try not to question too much and think...this is how it is for me. There is comfort in knowing that we are all different. My thought are with you and i send you lots of calming vibes hun...so expect them to hit you real soon. LOL
Love and rubs to all XOoxoox
Hi everyone, just a brief post from me today:
M2C - hang in there, hun :comfort: It must be very scary. Remember that it is early, and there is no cause for your OB to be taking any action if there is nothing to indicate anything amiss. It's so hard when you don't know what's happening properly, but your levels are rising, and I'm praying so much that this next scan that you have shows you everything you need to be reassured. Don't let that OB of yours be a bully, especially when you're feeling so fragile and sensitive. I'm angry that they are not helping you at this time when they should be! Hang in there, you're doing so well, just one day at a time, and I hope the scan is much more reassuring - I believe in you and your bubs!!
Chez - so hard not to panic when those symptoms just do a vanishing act early on - that happened to me a number of times early on and I was totally at panic stations - it's the only thing you have to rely on. Just remember to be kind to yourself and know that it's ok to feel like you are. The HPT was a great idea, and I hope the BT results are also really reassuring for you, hun.
Nic - just wanted to say good luck for your scan hun! I hope it's absolutely wonderful!
Bel - so pleased your feeling calmer and that your little ones are doing well and the spotting/bleeding has calmed down now too - how wonderful! Can't wait for you to reach the next milestone.
Big hello and bigger belly rubs to TL, HM, LNB, BG, scooby, BW, Nicole, FG, Bel, dusty, Devon, Kahlan, Janie and anyone I have missed - it's just brilliant that the thread is so full!
AFM - I've had two stretch and sweeps in the lead up to my induction date on Thursday (2nd one was today). I'm currently 1cm dilated and 70% effaced, which is quite exciting because it means that induction is going to be so much easier now, if I don't already go spontaneously in the next couple of days. Lots of cramping, did have some mild contractions on Friday overnight that stopped, so bubs is really getting ready to roll now! Hoping something may happen overnight after this stretch and sweep today. Having reflexology again tomorrow, and hopefully by the next time I post in the thread, little CB will be here (praying!)
Take care, everyone, thinking of you all,
Miss C
M2C - Hand in there - you have a lot of positive vibes heading your way. Just do what ever you need to do to take care of yourself.
Chez - re the Calmbirth: You can do weekend courses in Sydney or I know you can do a weekend course in Bowral as well - I couldn't tell you if there were courses in Canberra.
Peter Jackson is the guy who 'invented' this particular course and even though it is likened to hypnobirth it is not (or so I have been told). Basically hypnobirth came about as a part of a self hypnosis course - it was one module on birth where as the whole Calmbirth course was specifically designed around birth and pregnancy. I hope I got that right.....My DH said he thought some of the ideas were a bit 'out there/new age', but he said he really, really enjoyed it and learned a lot because these ideas get tied back to a scientific reason which helped him understand the value in the techniques.
LBN - Good luck with it - I really can't say how good the course made me feel about everything. I was waking up with nightmares about giving birth (this at the 12 week stage) and just thought I have to do something about this to get some control back and to get rid of this fear that was turning slightly into panic. The best part is that the earlier your do it the more time you get to practice the techniques - visulaisation, relaxation, breathing, etc. It's not a course where you go for 2 days and that's it - you will have to practice the techniques, but most of them will help with everyday situations anyway.
Miss C - I hope we don't hear from you today/tomorrow because little CB has decided that it is time to come into the big wide world. Best of luck hun.
To everyone else - hugs and belly rubs

Miss C, sounds so exciting! I'm glad things are working out for you in terms of getting CB out with gentle encouragement rather than an aggressive induction. I'm a little sad that at the stage we'd need to be trying these things my acupuncture clinic will be closed over Christmas. I'm in there today, and I'm hoping I'll remember to ask if there's anything I can do at home by myself to encourage Munchkin out in a timely manner. I've woken in extreme pain this morning and can barely walk from all the bits and pieces he's pressing on, so I'm really hoping they'll help me, rather than lecturing me on why getting to 40 weeks would be better than 38! OB appointment on Thursday, so I suspect that if one won't help, I'll be begging the other to do something!
M2C, I think everyone else has said it all. Hippymum especially, your body your decision on whether you go to surgery or not, and if there's ANY question of doubt in your mind, insist on waiting a few more days and having another scan first if that's what your FS is suggesting. I'm hoping and praying that it will be a moot point and this scan will bring good news. Take good care of yourself.
I'm feeling a little stressed and flustered this morning... as we may just be moving within the next few weeks... as if being heavily pregnant over Christmas wasn't bad enough, we'll throw in a complete house move as well! Eek! :o Apart from that, it's just too painful to sit for too long, so I think I'll be popping in and out with short posts rather than sitting down to a long one...
BW
M2C- sending you a big hug...i truly understand how stressful this time of limbo and anxiety is...it's very draining emotionally and physically...i so hope things are OK for you. I think you would have some pain by now if ectopic...but I guess none of us are experts, that was just my experience. I hope you receive some clarity and answers soon.
Hi Guys....may I join you?
I have been really scared to join or announce PG till we had BT back today. Numbers are looking healthy, so I am taking a leap.
M2C - hope you have some answers today .
Chez - congratulations!
HM, TL, Dusty, Miss C, Bel, BG - so nice to see you here!
I'll try to catch up on everyone really soon
Rach xx
Welcome Rach and huge congrats to you!
Miss C - it is all sounding sooooo exciting. Can't wait to hear about CB's arrival!
M2C - I am so sorry for what you are going through. I agree with everyone else. Don't let your FS bully you into anything that you do not feel comfortable with. Get a second opinion if you need it. But hopefully, you will see that HB on your scan.
Sorry I haven't had time to do personals for everyone, but must do some more work quickly before home time. It sure is hard keeping up with how many people are in here now! :bellyrubs: to you all.

Hi All,
M2C- I hope things are ok for you. Am thinking of you and praying everything is going smoothly.
MissC- You must truly be beside yourself with happiness and excitement right now. I am thrilled to hear all is going so well for you xx
Sorry for the lack of personals..
AFM, just came out of hospital again. Another big bleed on Monday night. Babies are fantastic, just their mummy who is not coping right now. FS says bleed is coming from the edge of the placenta. I just want this to stop. It is so hard to stay strong when you are bleeding.
We had a really good scan though. Babies measuring spot on, HB's excellent and both are really busy in there. We are 12 weeks tomorrow, so I just have to keep being positive and strong for our little ones. FS says I will probably bleed more, but he is 99% sure everything will be ok.
Yesterday was 2 years to the day I was admitted to hospital with my ectopic and would you believe I was 2 rooms away from the room I had then! I pray the next time I'm in one of those rooms again, is with my 2 much loved babies in my arms.
Am on TOTAL bedrest now. Nothing round the house even. Oh well!
Am thinking of you all. Will be back to chat soon
Hugs Bel
