Thanks everyone. Just home from the D&C. In a very bad place right now. Feels worse than the last times if that's possible. It's just getting harder to cope. I wish the earth would swallow me up. I know it will get better eventually and I will be able to think straight again. Going to bed to rest up now. Thanks for being there.

Possums - I am so truly sorry to learn of your sad news. Life can be so unjust. You do deserve this baby and I admire your strength to even try to regroup ATM. I hope you have a gentle recovery from your D&C. Be kind to yourself. I do not know what your next step will be, but if you want to know anything about the SIVF Miscarriage Investigation Program, I went through it. Feel free to PM me

ive been missing for a weeks or so and i come on here and there is all this sad news around! possums - its not fair is it, i was always following your progress and thought the xmas BFP was a sure sign you gave me hope, and still do, im just so angry that this has happened to you, and with no reason! i just wish you the strength to get through as there is no words that havent already been said. im also thinking of your DH, it is very tough on them too. we are all mothers in here, even if our bubs never get to see the world, we are still mums.

AFM - been in hospital very ill and struggling through everyday, but with all these angel babies at the moment i make a conscious desicion to think positively and take it one day at a time, im just nervous my bub isnt getting enough nutrients and i havent had my elevit for 4 days now, but doc said as long as i can keep some fruit down and veg i should be ok. i will be 9 weeks on monday and hope this will ease off soon! when did you ladies find the MS stopped, or at least eased to the point where you could go out?

    Many thanks everyone.

Where there's hope...thank you- I am with SIVF too, even though this was a natural pregnancy. I would like to know more about whether I should be having any further tests done. My OB says no, because I have only had two miscarriages in a row (with the first loss involving the ectopic), and they don't count it as recurrent until it's 3 in a row. I am just not sure if there is something else though that we should be doing. Both these last babies stopped growing around the 8 -9 week mark.

I also wonder if there is something wrong with me, or I did something wrong?

I am mostly numb still, but everyone now and then (like when DH and I went to the beach for a swim and in the car next to us was a tiny baby boy) I just lose it and break down again.

possums - are you getting them to examine the angel baby and placenta from the D and C? maybe its the placenta as it starts to take over from roughly 9 weeks. so many unknowns, if only we had answers. as for the breaking down, ITS OK! its ok to feel that. i also wish you strength once you return to work. just cuddle DH and cry.

Possums hun, I am so sorry to come on here after so long and read of your loss. How unfair life can be sometimes, I would be putting my foot down with my doc if I was you and insisting on more testing. As if you want to wait until you have a third m/c in a row before doing something. I'm thinking of you

    everyone.
Sorry I haven't been on for so long, but it's been pretty busy lately and I've really only had time to come on and read the thread rather than post myself.
My pg is going along well so far, I'm 16 weeks tomorrow. I've had a bit of trouble with my back over the past 3/4 weeks though, and after not being able to sit for longer than 10 minutes or so for the past week, I've been to a few different physios and I have a suspected bulging disc which isn't fun. Being that I'm pg I can't have an MRI or CT scan to be 100% sure, but my physio and doc are 95% sure that's what's going on. I've had last week off work, and I've got the next week off too, hopefully I'll get some relief soon. I'm still in a lot of pain, and lying on the couch is getting boring as hell!!

I hope everyone else is well

Yes, that was the first thing my GP checked when I came to her pregnant. I even have a card that tells me what blood type I am just in case I have an emergency. Initially didn't understand the significance of it all but the GP told me that apparently for pg with blood group -ve it may in conflict with the fetus which could cause m/c.

AFM, tried out the hired doppler. It was great. Waiting for DH to return tomorrow (he's away on business) and let him try it out.

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend.

Possum, I agree with what some of the other ladies have said re FS. I would try and push for more answers as I am sure you don't won't to go through this again.
    Thinking and for you

kahlan - yea if you are a negative blood type and the bub in your tum is positiveor vice versa, well its very complicated wont go into detail but the mothers body can see it as an invader and develop antibodies against the fetus, so in turn attacks the bub and any future bubs that develop as the body feels its a parasite. It should be standard after the first pregnancy to test for it but it depends on the GP and ob whether they do. In my course its one of the MAJOR things we learn and HAS to addressed with each pregnant woman. Also im thinking of hiring a doppler once i hit 2nd trimester i found a site that costs 49 dollars a month and its an actual soundwave not just a microphone so there is no room for error, how much are you paying?
