Good morning ladies
Keen for me it was a natural FET, 2nd go, drugs prior or after transfer.
Morning all,
Keen, mine was my 5th IVF stim cycle, first time using a blast transfer. 4 previous stims and 3 prev FETs were all BFNs. This last go I was on 3 pessaries a day, like all my previous stim cycles. HTH.
Jo, I was really feeling for you re Jack and his new bed. I hope you manage to get him to settle in it soon.
And re people walking through you, isn't it amazing how rude people can be? I am shocked by the amount of people who plough into DH and me all the time, and it's a bit crazy when you think he's just over 6ft 3inches and would NOT be the one to be knocked over.
As for me, had a miserable weekend. DH was watching me trying to use the doppler. I couldn't find the heartbeat , so was pressing down quite firmly and moving it around. He panicked and told me to stop and then WW3 ensued where he said that he worried that I was hurting the baby, that I was untrained to use this sort of equipment and that u/s should be used for medical pursposes only and not to appease the concerns of the parents.
It went on damn near all weekend, and in the end, I could not convince him otherwise. Not only have I not found the heartbeat, I am now banned from using the doppler. Lucky the little'un was kicking furiously last night, so I could tell DH that at least the little'un seemed none the worse for wear, and if anything, this will be my reassurance for the weeks leading up to my next u/s.
Tiff, I couldn't have hurt the little'un, could I?

PS doesn't help that the little'un has now been quiet all morning!
Oh Sush,
Hugs honey, no your little baby is tucked up safe in a big bag of fluid and placenta and all that good stuff. You could not hurt him/her...only yourself.
If I lived closer I'd come and find the hb for you.
Thanks Tiff  for saying all the right things to make me feel better. You're an angel.
I guess I knew that I hadn't hurt the little'un, and I think I was offended by him thinking I'd do anything to harm our precious baby, but after a whole weekend of his ranting, I was starting to doubt myself.
But on the plus side, I just had some Ribena so the little'un has started his/her aroebics again \:D/

Jo, what stuck-ups, where were their manners. Hope ur ankle is ok & not in plaster like Hayseed. I was helpin DH move some of the lighter furniture 3wkends ago & was a bit high, so had to stand on toes (I was walking backwards, DH forwards) & didn't actually roll my ankle, but hurt it none the less, although was just bit sore for few wks luckily no injury.
Hope Jack get's used to his new bed shortly.
Sush, sorry to hear u were unsuccessful in finding ur littlen's hbeat. Guess it depends on placement of placenta & all that & which way bubs is facing. Hope u can find it soon, to at least get ur money's worth & for piece of mind... :-)
Tiff & Shazz, hope ur feelin better.
Keen, here's a summary for me, hope to be reading ur's shortly too... :-)
TTC#1=24 cycles (5 off), Clomid x 5, AIH/IUI x 1, surgery 31/5, chiro, naturopathy, multivits, cin2 surgery narrowing/scarring, endo, anovulation (3 cervical operations). My successful mth was my 2nd mth after surgery using Clomid, AIH & pregnyl trigger (2/4 viable follies).
Well had my 30th b'day dinner on Sat night, only 6 couples out of 14 turned up, so was bit ticked off, but in the end it was my immediate family (well those that live close) & my 2 closest friends that turned up, so was all good. 1 friend, whom has 7wk old bubby has lent me her "AngelSounds" doppler from fertilitynaturopath, the same company we bought our reliable OPK's from. Took bout 10-15mins to find h'beat, gave DH a listen, then the bugger moved, took another 10-15mins to find it, then bugger moved again & couldn't find it. Sun morning, tried for 20mins, couldn't find it, so got up & walked round a bit, then tried again 5mins later, bubby had moved into position so was able to find hb again, after bout another 10mins. Then 22wk pg girlfriend came over so we used it on her, only took few mins to find, I tried again, couldn't find it, tried again in 15mins, nearly gave up then found it but was very faint, then bugger moved again. Had to use a bit of pressure, bit less than what the sonographer used for my last u/sound. Have to give it back shortly as another girl wants to borrow it. Might price them for myself. Hb same as my 12.5wk u/s = 152bpm.
Sush - Bugger about the hb. Next time you have a dr appt, take it with you and get them to give you a lesson. I'm pretty sure that my dr pressed down fairly hard on my belly to find it as well so tell DH to stop being so woosy about it :)
Shell - Nah, no plaster, wouldn't be able to live if there was, would have to hacksaw it off lol! Just sprained it or something quite badly a nuymber of years back and it is a lot weaker and i always turn it and fall whenever I wear even a little heel.
Keen - Forgot, it was my 4th attempt, 1 fet (nogo) 2 babck to back stims (nogo) 1 FET (YAY)
So, do I feel like the biggest **** head or what? #-o
I went to do some food shopping cos the midwife was coming for dinner. My friend asked me if I was feeling ok before I left, that I looked pale, the lady at the post office said I looked pale but I thought I felt ok. Anyway, did the shopping but passed out at the checkout! Found myself on my back, on the floor with lots of Woollies people hovering around me.
They called an ambulance and I cancelled it, said I was ok and made my way home (slowly). Phoned Dave who phoned the midwife who phoned the good doctor, who phoned me and told me to get my backside into hospital and stop being so stubborn and stop acting like a midwife! Got the kids organised, waited for Dave to come home and then went in, by then I felt fine. Alittle sore in the head and a little pain in the back and front but otherwise good.
Hospital was fine, I was fine, Ivy and Noah were fine, got a rap on the knuckles for not going in earlier and allowed to go home, so long as I promised to go back in if anything changed. So, that is my day in a nutshell, crazy, huh?
PS My fundal height has grown 4cm in a week! Do you think that is why I am getting so much pain down there?
OH Tiff ~ i am so glad your feeling better now and everythign is alright with the bundles of love i hope today is so much better for you maybe you should stay home with your feet up all day take care sweety
OMG Tiff. That is one crazy day!!!!! Is everything ok now???
What is your fundal measurement?? Last Friday I measured 33cm at 25wks. OB explained to me that's why I am getting a lot more back pain.
Tiff,
OMG what a day all right! Glad to hear you and the bubs are okay. Please take care. I think as women we always think we can go that little bit extra, but then our bodies have a mind of their own!
Jo, I called DH a woos too but he's holding firm, which is unlike him in tha face of my tears, usually. I will take the doppler to Dr - great idea - and then DH can see for himself it's safe.
My annual leave has been approved, which I'm stoked about. I originally intended to keep my four weeks leave so that I could leave work at 30 weeks instead of 34 weeks, but am finding work difficult and need a break, I reckon. I asked for two weeks from the weekend of the 19th (DH and I were trying to get to the BB event) but didn't get approved for that weekend. Instead I've got two weeks from the 28th Nov. I'll be 20 weeks by then, so imagine will be screaming for a break.
I hope everyone is well, particularly Jo and Hay, with your poor injured limbs. Am going to go get my morning Ribena now!

Oh dear Tiff, not u too, glad ur all ok. Hope no-one else has a fall.
I've heard of fundal height, but not sure how it's measured. When & how is it measured?
It's measured just with a tape measure Shell, from the top of your bump to the bottom. I'm pretty sure they say that x-cm means you are x-weeks if that makes sense? I only had mine measured in the last few weeks.
Oh i c, thnx Sarah.
Oh Tiff, glad to hear that you, Ivy and Noah are OK. Not fun, passing out in public, huh?! And I guess people would go into extra-panic mode, seeing as you're pg. Wow on the fundal height growth, such a growth spurt you'd think you'd have to feel somewhere in your tummy.
Hey Everyone
I'm baaack! Had a lovely restful time away although straught back into it and lots of catching up on BB to do.
Glad to hear everyone is good, Tiff Hope you are well after your scare. Yes, our bodies really do know best although it's hard to listen to them sometimes!
As for me, I'm great and feeling good - have had heaps of movement which we can feel and see from the outside. It's good entertainment watching my stomach move on it's own accord or rather while baby is doing acrobatics in there.
Well I'll be back later.
Take care xx
I have just put an update of my belly on the website. It is amazing how much I have grown in 3 weeks
You look awesome Tam!!
Agreed!!
Morning everyone,
hope you are all fine .. i am on a bit of a high today last night my daughter wanted to see how the doppler worked and we got to hear bubs thumping away in there i was stoked first attempt and i found the HB Thanks to TIff and her great directions ( thanks TIff) my kids were fasinated and to top it all off i am off to the Ivf Doctor today hopefully for the last time he decides today weather i stay on the support drugs or finish them today \:D/ i am opting for finishing them today so i will catch up with you all when i get back late this afternoon
Thanks girls
Shazz all the best for today
Tam,
I'm amazed at how much your belly has grown! Mine started out big with the progesterone belly, never seemed to go down either, but now I reckon it hasn't gotten any bigger in a couple of weeks! Plus I weighed myself and I've lost a kg from my pre-pg weight!
Thinking this may be aan excuse to see my obgyn again. Lame I know but it keeps my paranoia at bay!
Can't wait to see more pics. I love the pram and the matching rockers! Sooooo cute!

sushee
Sush I say any excuse to get another look at the bubba's is a good one!!
Tam, you do look great! And yay! on getting down to 100 days to go (I know, you won't be making it to 100 days!!)
Sush, yup that excuse sounds like a good one to see the obs (and bub) again!
Morning all!
No news is good news, eh? Quiet in here so everyone must be going great guns, which is the best thing you could hope for.
As for me, DH has nixed the idea of another obgyn visit, saying I'm paranoid and should just relax and enjoy being pg. This from the same man who still won't discuss names. But I guess he's right. I am feeling bub move everyday and despite not seeming to 'grow' much in the bump region in the last few weeks, I am pretty big for this stage already.
So unless I get a panic attack (and this is entirely possible, so don't be surprised) I won't see Dr Nichols again until my next scan at 19 weeks.
Let's see how long I hold out for! Lol!
To all the quiet, happily pg ladies out there :grouphug:

Hi Girls!!
I am baaaack!! Finished work, woman of leisure that sort of thing (??)..
I have finally updated the website - show you all my big fat belly!! (But I am still so in love with it, LOL!)
There are some piccies from our sizing U/S - just a profile shot and baby yawning or more likely sticking his tongue out at us!!
Our nursery has progressed from one week ago - see the before and after shots, but I still have not finished painting all the little characters on the wall, and the window ... need to finish sawing the curtains!
Otherwise there are just some piccies of bits and bobs....
My mum is coming to see me for the weekend so I am so excited! More shopping, LOL!
Well, I better run off to see the obstetrician, will catch up and post more after!
Take care girls,
WOW Gab you look GREAT!!!! And yay on being a lady of leisure. The nursery has come up a treat too
WOW Gabby, Can I borrow some of your creative skills, that nursery looks wicked... Little Munchy is never gonna want to leave it!!!!
I cannot believe how fasrt those 36 wks have gone, all the very, very best!!!!!
Gab, :confetti: YAY at you being a lady of leisure now! You look great! I love the nursery, especially the flooring, very colourful.
Tracey, just had a squiz at your website - Maddy and Indah are gorgeous girls!
Lookin' good, Gab! The nursery looks fantastic. I bet you can't wait to use all of that cool stuff! That's what I was most looking forward to when I was expecting. Yay for no more work! Good to hear that things are going well with Munchy. Not long now!!
OMG Tiff, hope you are feeling better now, you must have given yourself, along with everyone else a big shock fainting like that.
Tam & Gab - Love your pictures! Gab, I especially like the mat in munchys room!
Hope everyone is aok!
Yay Gab - glad to hear you've finished work and can rest up somewhat now. The nursery looks fantastic and you look even more fantastic!!
Gab,
I love the room! Perfect for a little boy! You've done so well and I love the painting of Dory!
Well, I won't be decorating the little'un's room until it arrives becoz DH and I have decided that we are going to leave the sex as a surprise!
Talked about it last night and he figured that coz he does't care what sex it is, he thinks it would be fun to not know until the bub's born. How exciting! We get to choose both a boy's name and a girl's name now!
Neutral colours for the cot and a few green body suits should do us until after the little'un is born!

Hi Girls,
Naughty me, sneaking on here when I have work to do. Crikey, I hope nobody is watching ...
Sal - time is rushing away for you. 90 days already! Are you shocked?
Tiff - I hope you are feeling better after your fainting incident. It must have been scary for you. Not long till those little beauties arrive.
Gab- I'm glad you're finally finished work. I am also gob-smacked with admiration at your considerable creative skills ... you have so many talents!
Sush - Good on you for holding out over finding out the sex. I've caved and will be hopefully finding out the flavour of ours at the next ultrasound. Sadly, the only reason is so that I can buy the appropriate colours. I've bought a fair bit of yellow and white but I'm just longing to branch out into a new shade!
Tam - You are looking great too and so is the nursery. It's so exciting with all the twins in here.
Jo - Hope things are going well for you and your little ones. Is Jack taking to that bed yet? How are you after your fall?
Hayseed - Hope that ankle of yours is on the mend.
Shazz - Hope things are going well for you.
Apart from that, not much happening here. My health and state of mind have definitely improved. The obstetrician said it's quite common for depression to occur alongside morning sickness. I said, good, because I couldn't understand feeling this way when all I've wanted for so long is a baby.
Luckily that stage seems to have well and truly passed.
Hope you are all doing well.
Love,
Mel
Awesome Gab, is there anything ur not good at... :-)
Sush, that's great that u both agree on it, it's a shame when 1 wants to know & the other doesn't (like my cuz) so neither find out. In our case, we are hangin to find out the surprise early... hehe, everyone's diff.
Hi Mel good to see all is going well for you
I'll update a bit later guys, my stupid computer is playing up
Gab, loving the nursery & OMG Shell is right - is there anything you can't do?! I just wonder how you have the time to paint, quilt & crosstitch (was it?) aaaand work all of those long hours.
No probs Sarah. Have sent you a PM too with another small update. =)
I forgot to mention in my last post that I have actually felt definite movement this week. I thought I felt it the first time in week 15 but this week, I know it for sure. It doesn't happen when I'm walking around but the minute I sit or lie down ... "rat a tat tat" just below my navel. Definitely not gas ... gas I know. This is all new.
It's a pleasant surprise as I've been reading that sometimes you don't feel movement until week 18 if it is your first baby. Good to see Apple is getting in early.
Okay, got to get cracking but I'll be back to check on updates from you lovelies later.
Hello girls! Well first a bit of news from me: DP is now DH! We got married last night in Ballina, it was VERY low-key (just my parents were there, actually it was a surprise to them, they just thought we were going out to dinner!) and lovely. We are both very very happy.
Hi Mel! So glad to see you back on BB. Yes, being under 90 days to go is a big shock, I'm nearly at the point of accepting that I will indeed have a baby in the near future! Ooh, not long for you to find out the flavour of apple. I'm getting girl vibes from you. How exciting that you feel definite movement :cheer:
Very exciting with all the upcoming 18/19w scans!!
I wish the LT TTC girls would get a wriggle on, at this stage this thread will be empty after May!
Oh my God, SAL!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! That is just the best news! :confetti:
Hope you had a fantastic day. There's nothing like your wedding day, no matter how big or small. I still remember what a happy experience ours was.
Whoops ... edited to add something about the flavour of the baby.
You probably know that I've been thinking it's a boy right from the start. Seeing the resemblance to DH on ultrasound convinced me even more. But I had a play around with the Chinese gender prediction chart last night and it said "Girl". I also saw a Chinese medical practitioner last week and she said "Girl" as well. It will be interesting to see who is really in there!
