Trish~ Have you gone & changed your settings in USER CP? It is up the top of the screen. There is an option is misc. which lets you have more options in your posts. I just love this little smilie :fertilise:
Click on go advanced down the bottom of the reply box & you should see more smilies. Can you tell Mel I said Hi & still have the mobile for her if she wants it?

Hi Alicia~glad to hear your GD is under control. Congrats on finishing up work. I am so jealous!!

Thanks guys re the GD, but to tell you the honest truth I really haven't had to change too much at all, basically it seems to be bread that puts it up so I try to avoid that.

I can't believe I'm next in line. DD has her countdown on the fridge that she crosses off each morning. Only 36 sleeps to go!!!!!!!!!!! We know this as I am booked in for CS, but I guess there is always the chance that I still may go earlier.

Shazz - Ryan is gorgeous, you must be very very proud!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have my best buddy coming over with her 2yr old son shortly, I haven't seen her for ages so I'm very excited.

Just another quick one to say WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO on getting the two miners out safe & well. I can't begin to imagine the heartache that their families have been through the last couple of weeks.

Not to forget the miner that lost his life.......... I really feel for his family.

No worries Trish xo I have no idea what time her scan was today! I hope it is this morning. :)

I was so happy for those poor miners, I sat up last night till 1am (well this morning) as the news said they were close but was so relieved to see them so well early this morning! Totally amazing!! Had a bit of a cry, geez so emotional these days!

Skye I was bawling too - tears were pouring out

Tam if you are lurking ... we are keeping a seat hot for you ... GL for transfer - is it today ? or tomorrow can't tell with tickers they don't always change until the afternoon

Glad I am not the only one Trish!! I usually cry at the drop of a hat but it is those 'real life' situations that I can't handle at the moment. My class was asking questions about it this morning & somehow we got onto Sophie Delezio. I guess I put myself into the situation & think 'what if that were me/my child/my husband' etc. It has been a horrible couple of weeks in the news hasn't it.

On a happier note I am still refreshing refreshing waiting for Sheree to come & tell her news!!

Only a short visit today for me to see how you lovely ladies are travelling. I'm glad to see everyone's well and happy. I miss being pg myself, but can't say I'm not happy my little man's finally here, even if it has been a challenging week for me this week. Not Charlie's fault though, mainly my old bones giving me the ****s, with loads of aches and pains, and a late bout of baby blues thrown in for good measure. DH has gone back to work this week, which I was dreading, but I'm happy to say i'm actually managing ok, and am feeling better for it.

It's funny but I think part of the problem is that because Charlie's an IVF bub and was so longed for, I put so much pressure on myself to be perfect for him, iykwim. I'm just learning to relax a little bit more now.

Trish wow not long more for you, my sweet. Are you next after Ali?

Charlie's dozed off on the bb, so I'm just off to put him down. Then I can type with 2 hands for once!

I am getting excited about my scan, you watch though bubs won't cooperate & I will have to wait another 4 weeks to find out!

My scan isn't till 4pm this afternoon, then it is to the OB & out for dinner so I may not be back online with news till later tonight.

Alicia I have never gotten the colour right but I am going to say girl for you. No reason other than we need to even up the numbers :)

Sheree I am pretty sure my OB took blood from my DD's cord at birth. I remember only because blood spurted back at him & got him on the shoulder. We laughed as his leg had gotten so wet from my water breaking as well! (sorry if tmi) I don't remember signing any forms for the public collection so it may have been for something else. But no, I am not doing private cord blood collection for this baby, am more than happy to donate it if need be.

Sheree - Funny you should mention the cord blood storage/donation. I have been looking into it a bit over the last couple of days. We have a lot of cancer in our family and I really want to store this bub's cord blood, but the price is a huge contributing factor. I really don't think we can afford to do it.

Anna - did I read correctly that you are having a boy too? I've been scrolling back and forth trying to catch up on all the news and perhaps I have gotten it wrong. Hope you are doing well too.

Ali and Sheree - I looked at cord blood storage but we could not afford the fees. I really wanted to donate the blood but that also was not possible as the donation arrangements in Victoria are not exactly flexible so that was ruled out too. =(

Sending big hugs to everyone - I hope you are all well. I've gotta go because my online time is already up!! Should be back to normal soon. WM is very well and has gained more weight (I am sure he must be at least ten pounds by now). I have recovered from the caesarean and am back to doing normal activities etc. The scar is only very small (about 15cms I'm guessing). Can't believe they managed to do everything through such a tiny incision. WM and I have a nice little routine going and we take a walk every day for a couple of hours which gives him some shut eye and me some valuable relaxation time. He still loves the Hugabub. Haven't tried the pram yet but he does enjoy being wheeled down the hall in his crib so I'm sure that will be a hit too when we get around to it.

Hi Mel! Yep you read right I am having a boy and Dh and I are super excited! He desperately wanted a son and I will be worshipped forever by his family now as Dh and his cousin were the only males left to carry on the surname and if they had all girls..........well world war 3 would be a carnival compared to the hell that would break loose for them ;)

By the way bbtrail there is a government funded cord blood donation and its free, you do have to use their hospitals though which are normally the big ones in your own area. Email me and I will let you know the details dvq@uq.net.au
