I have a feeling we may be getting a few new ladies soon \:D/
It does look promising over there doesn't it Trish!!
I will keep everything crossed :crossfingers: :crossfingers: :crossfingers:
Hello Gorgeous Ladies,
Congratulations SHAZZ!!!!! Yahoo! I hadn't logged in for a few days but I knew there would be some great news when I did.
Amy, so good to see you and to hear that you and Noah are doing well.
Ali - great news about the diabetes being sorted out. Sounds like you have found a middle ground there where you can maintain for a while.
Sal and Kelly - happy birthday!
Shell - Ooh, yes I had the lovely shave too. I tried to make a head start on it before I went into hospital but there was too much of it and my razor just couldn't cope.
Hope all you other ladies are doing well and that the good women of LTTTC are readying themselves to move over en masse. You are all in my thoughts.
Things are starting to get sorted out around here. I made the decision - not without a great deal of grief and regret - to discontinue breastfeeding. This has been very hard to deal with but the trade off is that my boy is not screaming any more and is producing plenty of wet and dirty nappies which is more than acceptable. I admire you wonderful ladies who persist with the expressing because it really does take it out of you. The problem I found was that because William never latched, my boobs didn't respond in the same way to the pump and my supply went down the gurgler very quickly. Because of WM's size, he needed to be supplemented from fairly early on because I just didn't have the milk there and he became quite jaundiced and dehydrated. This was distressing in the extreme.
I have my mother here at the moment to help which is great because I'm still healing from the caesarean but if she hadn't been here, I would have been climbing the walls. Things are getting better now and I think WM is happier because I am happier.
I posted Willmartin's birth story this morning if anyone would like a read. It's a bit of a ramble, but hey ... you're used to that from me aren't you?
Sorry for the selfish post. Am just starting to get back into things and will update WM's site soon with new photos. DH is off work on Monday so will get him to help.
BTW, WM's birth announcement is in today's Herald Sun (for anyone in Melbourne). If others would like to see it, it can be found on the newspaper's website under Announcements, just for today only.
Talk to you all a bit later on. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Love,
Mel
What a beautiful birth story Mel! How lovely to have a familiar nurse with you.
So happy you have sorted out WM's feeding. I can empathise with trying to keep up with a big babes needs. My DD was 9lb 9oz & they need lots!!!
Take care of yourself & can't wait to see some more pics.
Yay to Shazz on the arrival of Ryan!
Hello chickies, I only have about a 15 min window to get dinner ready and post this before Charlie is due to be up for a feed, so wanted to firstly say Mel, I hear you about how hard breatfeeding is. I forgot how hard. I have major cracked nipples and Charlie latching on feels like a thousand needles, but this morning I seem to have turned a corner and the pain in oh so slightly better. Yesterday I was ready to give up, today I think I'll give it a few more days.
Also I have not caught up with everyone so have no personals up my sleeve...yet! Charlie slept in 3 hour blocks last night, so I'm feeling a bit human today and hopefully in a week or so will be in a state of mind to come on here and catch up with everyone's news properly.
In the meantime, I've posted a few more pics on my website if anyone wants to have a little steaky beak, and am now going to steaky beak myself at WM's and Ryan's webpages!
love

Sush ~ Charlie is just adorable congrats again hun \:D/
Mel - BF is very hard, you've gotta do what is best for you and bubs at the end of day.
Mel, I absolutely understand how you're feeling about your decision to stop BF. Your story sounds exactly like mine, and the best advice I ever got from the midwives was that there needs to be a happy mother as well as baby, so you've done the best thing for both of you. It is disappointing though, isn't it.
Hey Sush - charlie is just gorgeous! Think you may have yourself another stunner on your hands there ;)
Mel - Of course I havent any experience with BF so cant really say but you read that it shouldnt hurt and all this, but everyone you talk to says it hurts like hell, so I can definitely understand your choice.
Hey whose next to meet their bubs - is it Ali?
Thanka Trish - I've been working from a crapper computer at home so couldn't download any photos but am on DH's flash laptop today so will try to download some photos for you all.
Mel - so glad you are both happy. BF is such a mission that you don't understand until you try it - natural my arse!! The most important thing is you gave it your best shot and that's all you can do. Well done chickie.
Hi keen, great to see you again.
Right I'm off to post some photos.
Sush, Charlie is such a cutie, especially love the 'day 6' pic, he looks very satisfied!
Shazz, Ryan Eric is gorgeous, he looks very surprised to be born!!! The midwives told me some bubs are surprised to be born and take a while to get used to it, I wonder if Ryan Eric is one of those bubs?
Mel - Thanks for posting your birth story, it was beautiful, had me tearing up!!!! How did you find the Freemason's? I'd be very interested to know as I am due to go there for a c/s in 7 weeks. Re the BF - Don't beat yourself up about it, like all the other girls have said, the important thing is that you & William are happy and I remember from DD that the stress of BF can make for one very unhappy mum & in turn bub.
Sush - Charlie is absolutely adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keen - Been POAS at all?? I have everything crossed for you!! and yep, I think I'm next on 14/6.
I have another ob appt today so took the day off work & will be leaving shortly. Still been *****ing my finger, but now 3 times a day as they have been a tad elevated. I am feeling like absolute crap the last few days. Hands & feet extremelly swollen, I had to buy a pair of shoes one & a half sizes bigger than I normally wear as I can't get into anything else (except my moccies of course). This is my last week of work and then I'm off for just over a year...WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Will be back to chat later
Love
Alicia xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Looks like we have may have a new resident here soon......
Ooooooohhhh Trish!!!! Look at your ticker honey!!!!! Well done sweetie on being in double digits.
Who Justine? How exciting!
Check out LTAC ;)
Hi everyone, very tentatively putting my head in here. I got a BFP today after transferring 2 embryos 2 weeks ago... I really hope I will be staying to get to know you all even better.
Congratulations Shez =D>
Welcome Shez - wonderful to see you here!!!!! \:D/ \:D/
Hi guys..I have a question, does the EDD go from EPU or ET??
Yay welcome & congrats again Shez :cheer:
Your beta was fantastic!! Hmmm :baby: :baby: ??
My EDD was calculated from first day of last period. (30.12.05)
When I put 30th December into one of those online calculator thingos it said that O happened on the 13th of January which was my EPU date.
Gave me the due date of 6th of October. My first scan dated at 4th of October so I am going with that only cos it is sooner ;)
Congrats again!!! :flower:
Take 2 weeks off EPU and add 40 weeks. I couldn't go off period date as I didn't start stimming for a couple of weeks after it started.
So good to see you in here Shez!
tihihi.... Im all giggly like a school girl....
If you want to work out EDD on one of those due date calculators on the net - work out the date two weeks prior to EPU and put that as first day of last period and put 28 days as to number of days in a cycle (if it asks for that - if it doesnt ask apparently they immediately assume 28 days)....
tell us as soon as you know... If I am successful this cycle I am thinking you and I will be very very close in EDD, as my beta is 4 days behind yours and I have 5 day blasts transferred...
Hi Keen - can't wait till you plant yourself in here - only a 4 more days honey. Stay strong. If you're anything like me I bet you've already worked out your EDD ;) .
Shazz- Ryan Eric is a cutie too - how are you feeling ?
Congratulations again Shez - great beta by the way !
Keen - plenty of seats to chose from we have all being keeping them warm for ladie sin PALTTTC
Yes , 99 days to go Justine - glad to make it to this milestone - now to get past the next 11 weeks. You are 2 days behind me sunshine !
In same day I was told gee you look ready to pop ... that long to go ...your not very big for almost 26 wks -let alone twins.
Skye & Sheree - GL for your anatomy scans coming up - are you finding out and telling the flavour of your little bundles ?
Ali - woohoo on finishing work this week - hope your BSL's stabilize and your poor tootsies.
Justine - of course i have ;)
My straight jacket has been on well & truly for the past few days 8-[ I had started to feel little taps from baby but now nothing ](*,)
PLEASE someone tell me this is normal!!!
Thanks Trish, yep I will be finding out what colour bub is but keeping it a secret! I have been told by 2 psychics that it will be a little :boy: so we will have to wait & see. Congrats on double digits, I posted in your journal about the 100 day milestone =D>
Hi Sheree, your scan is a day before mine I think! Are you telling if you are having :boy: or :girl: Hope you are well & not half as neurotic as me at the moment
Alicia I am so jealous you have almost finished work. My leave doesn't start till August & I am counting down the days!
Keen I saw your question in LTAC thread about feeling full & crampy. I had both those symptoms. My tummy got quite bloated & I had yucky cramping from the crinone. I have everything crossed for you. :flower:
Have a great ANZAC day ladies..I am off to poke & prod my tummy a bit more
8-[
Hi Skye - yep I suffer from the same anxiety as you, if the bubs doesn't move and let me know. The mornings are the worse, when I get up and there is a nothing feeling IYKWIM.
I will be definitely letting everyone know the gender of our bubs - I'll be too excited not too. Roll on 9th May I say.
Morning lovely ladies.
Excuse my neurosis ladies but I have a question. I have been getting a fearly significant pain just to the left of midline above the pubis. It is not constant or sharp it feel almost like I have pulled a muscle.. I realise it could be stretching pain but I'm concerned that it is only on one side...Any thoughts??
Shez - the stretching, mine have been all over the place and not consistent either. I have taken and did take with DD panadol at times.
Hi Sheree  glad I am not the only one around here that feels anxious. Bring on the 9th of May...not long to go now!!
Shez I have had the worst stretching pains with my pregnancies. It seems to move around a bit for me as well & I often get a big sharp pain when I stand up & go to walk really quickly. HTH :flower:
Everyone's gone very quiet in here since the lovely April ladies have left us. Hope we are all travelling along nicely. Soon I'll be in my 3rd trimester - YIPPEE!
Skye - I hope bubs has been giving lots of lovely kicks, but it is very normal to have a few quiet days early on. My baby seems to go quiet for periods up to 12 hours then spends the next 12 hours using my belly as a push bike. I thought her foot was going to pop outta my bellybutton yesterday!
How are you going Sheree? Is your DD excited about getting a little brother/sister?
Trish - howz those little boys of yours? Can you still see your toes?
Ali - not long now, 6 or so weeks.....
Shez - you should get your details added to the front page, make it official girl \:D/
Let's all keep our fingers croosed for Keen tomorrow. I know she'll have some good news for us - I can feel in in my big belly.
Hope all our new mums are well and getting at least 3 hours of sleep a day
I'm being hestitant Justine.. don't know why. Once I've had the scan I think I'll feel better. Have been very tired and nauseas most days but not today which sent me straight to the looney bin!!!
It is very quiet in here. I was begining to think I smelt.
Can't wait for Keen to join tomorrow.
Love to all
Don't worry Shez - I think we all understand about being paranoid. In fact I think our forum should be renamed Paranoia with Pregnancy after Long Term TTC. "Sniff, sniff" - nah you don't smell
Hi Justine, Shez - how is everyone else -
No I can't see my toes unless sitting - my toenails need trimming too - might need a pedicure !
Shez - when is your scan ? It is a harrowing time waiting for that first sca
I have a very sore back - saw a physio today and got a pregnancy support belt -it helps a little but it is bit uncomfortable when sitting- have to remove to go to loo so might take some getting used to. It is tight but meant to hold it all toegther.LOL
Also, have a sore throat/cold/cough but feels like I can't cough properly or deeply.
The belt helps with walking -so hoping to get to Parents/baby expo on weekend.
Hi girls,
Firstly congrats Shez on your excellent beta results, and welcome to this forum! How exciting for you, though I completely understand being reticent about the whole thing. It's no consolation, I'm sure, but all of us felt the same way. I think most of us right up til the birth!
Keen, hoping to see you here too soon.
Trish, yay on getting to double digits! I can't believe how quickly everyone's pgs are going, though I'm sure it doesn't feel like it from where you're standing.
Shazz, Ryan is such a gorgeous little man. I hope you're enjoying him!
As for me, I am still BFing. Remember when I said I think I'd turned a corner? Well, I must have, coz it's getting better now. Also had the Child Health Nurse weigh Charlie at 10 days, and not only had he put on the 260g he'd lost the first 3 days, but another 270g on top! So all in all, over 1/2 a kilo in 7 days. I figure I can't be doing too much wrong with the BFing, soo decided to persevere. The cracked nipples are healing, so it's got to get easier from here.
Also I think I have managed to get Charlie to sleep at night, and be wakeful during the day. Getting 3-4 hour blocks of sleep most nights now, which is great (phew) but then all day, he's pretty much awake. It means I don't get much done, but oh well, life's like that!
Looking forward to the scans for Skye and Magic in a few weeks! Skye, I can't believe you're going to keep it a secret! As for me, I think, Trish, you asked if I had any idea I was having a boy. No, absolutely none. In fact, Karl and I talked about it the day after Charlie was born and we both admitted to thinking it was definitely going to be a girl. Shows you how much we knew! Lol!
Hello everyone else! Hope everyone is travelling along great guns!
love
sushee
PS ticker photo is Charlie at 12 days old - today!
Thanks for the warm welcome Sush... Charlie is absolutely gorgeous!!
Trish my scan is 8/5/6 so not too far away. Everytime I visit my twin nephews I think of how much fun you will have!!
My neurosis went to a whole new level this pm, I went and bought a HPT as I hadn't POAS at all. I bought a digital one that has the words Not Pregnant or Pregnant so I couldn't dispute it.... Pregnant pretty much straight away so it put my mind at ease a little!!
Skye, Sheree, Justine, Ali
 vibes for all the new Mums!!
Shez - hey if peeing on HPTs for the next 9 months helps your neurosis then by all means pee :)
Skye - your going to tell us what your having arent you??? [-o<
Magic - Nice to see you popping in :) I cant wait to find out what your having!
Well my scan is probably next Friday, soooooo exciting to finally find out if this little monster really is a boy but all signs point to yes.
My boobies have slowly stopped leaking so Dh has taken this as a sign he is allowed to touch. Should have seen him run when he saw them leaking again. I told him they would do it if he stimulated them  Also feeling more and more kicks everyday, Im feeling happier everyday now my funk has officially left the building.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
heeelllooooo????? Where is everybody???
It has been quiet in here but then again there are so few of us
I spoke to Melbo today - their computer is act of action and she is missing everyone. Shez - she sends her congratulations to you.
She asked me to send her hello to everyone. William is doing really well and she is feeling much better now after her c/s 2.5 wks ago. Willmartin loves his hubabub too.
Goodluck Anna for your morphology scan - it is so exciting to see what colour bub is !
My (.)(.) don't leak atm ... *touches wood* got a few nipple pads from baby expo today though for later.
