Hello everyone
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, it is the last relaxing one for me. Back to work tomorrow :(
Shez~ how is the stretching pain going? It is just so nerve wracking isn't it! Remember you had a super high hcg so full steam ahead for you :cheer:
Anna~ so glad you are over your yuckiness, there is nothing worse! How are those pups going?? What date is your scan?
Sheree~ I love the name Soraya, so beautiful. Do you have a hunch on what colour bub is?
Trish~ Thanks for the update on Mel, glad all is going well for her. Can't wait for some piccies.
Sush~ Charlie is so gorgeous. Do you just spend hours staring, babies are such good time wasters aren't they :D
Justine~ Congrats on the 3rd trimester!! I am having lots more kicks now, it is so reassuring.
Alicia~ Ohh not long to go now! I bet your DD can't wait either. I hope you are resting up ready for the new arrival.
As for me I am getting lots more movement now which is great, but my belly seems to come & go...some days I have a little bump, other times not much at all. Did anyone else have this? I was so much bigger at 12/13 weeks compared to now. Will have to take another belly shot for my webpage.
I went to a psychic party the other day & she was the 3rd person to tell me I am having a :boy: I will have to see if she is right! She picked I had done IVF etc which totally shocked me, also said I will conceive naturally a few months after this bubs is born   I had to laugh at that one!
Ohh funny story...well not really...my Dh was snoring last night & usually if I give him a shove he rolls over, anyway I shoved him & he didn't budge so I pushed him again & he fell out of bed, hitting his head on the bedside table  I felt so bad but had no idea he was right on the edge. Luckily he was ok & had a bit of a laugh.
Back to school tomorrow for me so no more holiday mode...am dreading those early mornings already

Yay 18wks today!
Im going to book my scan tomorrow for Friday, and make sure OB gives me a referral thurs at my appointment.
The pups are good I will post new pics soon, theyre growing like weeds! Feeding time is an eye opener lol We are trying to fatten them up and wean them now Mama has had enough, its a mess when they are done but its so cute to see them wander around the yard getting into mischeif!
-
wonderful news on 18wks Anna
When do you have to say goodbye  to the puppies
-
In 3 weeks minimum. Theyll be 7 wks then and just about ready. We cant keep them past 12wks and Im not sure I'd want 11 chunkers destroying my sanity that long anyway. Will be sad but for the best, they can go be spoilt individually at their new homes!
Must say Im feeling our little bub kicking up a storm lately, its getting more and more noticable, is that normal??
-
Ali, hope ur bld levels stay good. Yay on finishin work.
Mel, ditto what everyone else said, it definitely isn't easy BFing & u gave it ur best shot & that's all u can do, dont beat urself up about it. :-)
Shazz, huge congrats on baby Ryan, I logged on much earlier to c but didnt get a chance to reply. Been MIA for few wks.
Amy, just tried to chk ur photos, but cant, babiesonline says ur www will be deleted on 30May if not updated.
Shez huge congrats, great to c a new addition in here & hope there are many more to come.
Skye, Sheree, Anna & Shez, hope the time flies by til ur upcoming scans.
Skye, yep that is funny & not bout ur dh, hehe.
Sush, ur story sounds like mine too.
I'm still hangin in there with BF, still sore & blisters but not bleeding/cracked now, still latching issues, nipple shield might be there to stay me thinks.
Holly's weight: birth=2945g, 3d=2704g, 1w2d=3010g, 2w4d=3260g, 3w3d=3610g, so very healthy weight gain.
Holly had 2 u/sounds in hosp, both good (hips & sacral dimple). 3rd u/sound at 3wks for lump I found on her neck, luckily doesn't require surgery & shld disappear on it's own, fibromatosis coli or wry neck, benign tumour on muscle. 4th u/sound at 6wks to chk hips matured.
She had her first BT yesterday @ 4wks old to chk for maternal hypothyroidism, poor lil thing, it took them 1.5hrs to get enough blood out, they couldn't find a vein, so had to do heal *****s, only just got enuf.
Last 2 nights = 5-6hrly feeds (eg 8pm,2am,7am), yay. Wind drops (infants friend) & changin nappy between boobs to wake her (otherwise asleep after 1) is working.
Oh & Fri night, MIL gave me PawPaw ointment for nipples as heals, so tried it Sat morn, gave me hives, didn't realise til fully broke out at Crusty Demons on Dirt show Sat night (awesome). Mostly stopped last night, had to formula feed 2 days whilst took antihistamines, just expressed to try to keep from drying up, thou supply seems to have reduced.
So few hiccups but all is well.
Oh & Holly grabbed our phone headset cable (black, 3mm) today, she focussed & grabbed it, yay, a milestone.
Sorry for the ramble.
Hope ur all well.

Congrats on 18 wks Anna - and gl with Friday's scan
Hi Shell, have you tried lansonil (sp), sheep's wool oil - SWEAR BY it with DD. It helped me feed through mastitus at 2 weeks!
-
Hi everyone, good to see you popping in Shell.
Just a quickie from me - DS is demanding my attention. Just got back from OB and I have to do a 2 hour GTT next week. Not sure what I'm going to do with DS :-k . I'm not expecting a bad result.
I also had my swab and after coughing my OB gave me a stern talking to about pelvic floor exercises. I know I've been very slack in this dept and have been conveniently avoiding the whole issue. But he's told me I have moderate incompetancy (sp?). So LISTEN to your Dr girls. Now I'll probably end up one of those smelly old ladies buying pads all the time. I'm clenching as I type Lol!
He double checked between the legs and I have a definate yes in the girly bits. So yay - now I can go and buy some cute clothes!
-
Hey guys!
Well I had to change my appointment for the BIG u/s:
This Sat 6th May at 10:30am!
So glad hubby will be able to make it as he has the w/end off but Im not sure he deserves it. He's back to his old foul mood ways and we had a huge row last night. What started it? Spaghetti sauce, yep thats right I wanted spaghetti (its a fave of mine and I try to have it once a fortnight, plus its easy to make) and he didnt. So he skitzed it and I told him when HE cooks dinner, HE can make the decisions on what we eat. Its all sorted now but he really does have to learn, I make whats easiest and fastest on the nights we both work late. I dont have the energy or the money to gourmet cook right now and no point getting used to it only to have bub come and it all stops again.
Im feeling tons of movement, this baby is an octopus Im sure! I didnt think I'd feel so much at 18wks being its my first but I guess Im lucky!
Anyway I need to vacuum before work so I'll check back in later :)
-
Sorry this is a ME post..... \:D/
Just returned to work after an ob appt, bubs is right size, fluid in utero feels normal, heard heart beat on doppler, all is great. Roll on next Tues' scan I say - woohoo \:D/
-
Sheree, that is fantastic! I've been away for so long that I never even knew that you were a la natural \:D/ Thats really fantastic and must give great hopes to others, well done chookie.
Everyone else take care of your little bundles.
Shell, lansinol is fan-tas-tic for bf boobs, grab some at the chemist.
-
that is great news Sheree - you sound very excited =D>
GL for Saturday Anna ....
hi Shell & Jo -thanks for sharing the tit tips ;)
-
I'm so emotional today, happy tears well each time I look at my bubby tummy. DH and I are hoping that this pg will become "real" IYKWIM when we find out the gender next week. All this is so surreal, after all our efforts here I am that bl**dy urban myth. If during IVF/TTC anyone told me about the couples who do IVF take a break/give up and fall pg, I could have slapped them LOL. Truly, with my infertility this pg had the odds similar to winning Lotto!
Thanks and hi to Jo.
Hi Trish and ladies how are you all this fine autumn afternoon.
-
Hi everyone just popping in to say :happy4u: Magic!! Roll on next week all right I have my scan on Mon!!
Love and hugs to all!!
-
Had my 18.5wk appointment with the OB today. Got in and out quickly which was good. BP is fine, gained a kilo finally (all baby OB reassures me lol), fundal height measuring 19wks, he wants to postpone my u/s another week or so :fuming:
Had a quick squiz at bubs on his u/s machine..............................
After poking and prodding and pleading and a wrong guess we finally know what bubs REALLY is........................

...................A LITTLE BOY!
At first bub wouldnt uncross his legs and he couldnt see anything so he said "uhoh looks like it might be a little girl". I was like "Oh no how am I going to tell Dh?" lol then baby shifted and we saw a scrotum and penis :cryinglaugh: He's 95% sure which is good enough for me. Even got it on video so Dh can check it out later!
-
Yaye Humphrey on your confirmation you are definitely expecting a pink bundle and to Anna on your expecting a blue one! Now we all anxiously await the news of Sheree's little wonder and the 'bits' he/she has....
-
Congrats Anna on your little boy!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to hear how you go Sheree. I love your miracle story. You could write a book on your conception journey! That could be a good way to recoup some of that darn IVF money and HPT's Lol!!
-
I posted something today but it is missing now...
I wanted to say remember how we were talking about having a 'trim' before birth - well Kelly has already written a very good article on it it is in Belly articles if anyone is interested
-
I did see that post Trish and read the article it was great... Still no decision???
-
still got a bit of time to research and think about it ... a few anonymous calls to be made
-
Hello everyone!
Hope you are all well & enjoying your weekend.
Congrats Anna on your little boy & Justine on your baby girl
A few more of us have scans this week! Can't wait to hear what you are having Sheree & to see if Shez has one or two bundles in there.
I have been really emotional as well Sheree...went to DJ's today & was looking at the baby clothes & saw an outfit that had 'wish come true' embroided on the front...teared up straight away. Also I went to watch one of the boys in my class play football today & a lady next to me had a newborn that was crying, I felt that drawing pain in my BB's & felt them leak a bit!!!
Have a great weekend!
-
Hey everyone hope this saturday night is treating u well. I am at work.. Counting down til Monday.. Any bets on 1 or 2???
-
I just hope it is whatever you want ;)
-
Thanks Trish all I'm aiming for is being on track with something there!!

Introduction
Hi Everybody!
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rebecca and after being on Depo for 9 months My husband and I tried for 2 1/2 years to have a baby (naturally). We gave up as we are on a low income and could not afford any IVF etc... I started watching my diet and exercising and was determined to get to my pre pregnancy weight of 6 years ago. I lost 5 kilos and gained a foetus!!! It was the biggest shock!!! We have discovered we are having a boy. I just want to say good luck to the girls out there trying to conceive. Think positive!!!
-
congratulations on your pg Rebecca and welcome
-

Where is everyone ?
Mel is unfortunately still without her computer but will hopefully be back online soon. Willmartin is doing very well and I told her we are all waiting to see his pics - she said that was how they fried the motherboard.
-
Hi!!!! Hope everyone is doing well and time is flying by.
Shez - Congrats on your scan, it's so wonderful seeing the little heart beating away.
Sheree - Best of luck tomorrow, can't wait to hear whether it's pink or blue for you!!!!!
Trish - How r yr precious boys coming along?
Well I have finished work and have been trying to take it fairly easy. I tell you what though, there's just not enough hours in the day. My tummy is huge (not to mention my butt, thighs, bb's etc etc). I have put on over 20kg. It seems everyone else gets worried if they've put on ten..........Oh well, not too worry, I actually put on a hell of a lot more with DD and lost the majority of it.
I seem to be keeping my GD under control, which is a relief. As of next week I have to have appt's twice weekly at my ob, so they can monitor me closely. It's very tiring as we live in Country Vic and my ob is in Melbourne so it is a fair hike there and back.
Anyway, really should get to bed I guess.
Love to everyone
Alicia xxxx
-
Hi Ali - great to hear you are doing so well -you are next in line.
Welldone keeping GD under control can't be easy
Hope the travelling isn't too bad for you
-
morning ladies
Well done Ali for keeping your GD under control something i failed miserably (sp) at
