Tam, it's impressive for you or Tiff to make it online at all - you must be supermums!!

Tiff, Ivy and Noah are just gorgeous, what chubby little cheeks they have!! It's amazing that they are already 6 weeks old.

Thanks for all LVs, am happily accepting as many as are sent! I got what I think was my first sign of a more serious contraction during the night, with lower tummy pains, but as there haven't been anymore I'm hoping that it was bub engaging or something.

Tiff, the little ones look great ... very healthy and strong. I love the new avatar too! Hope you are all enjoying your home time now that it is finally here and that you are recovering well yourself.

Sal - I'm getting excited ... very excited. Can't wait to find out if you will deliver on your due date. Not long till we meet your boy and find out his name!

Jo - I hope everything is okay with you. And thanks to Yvette for keeping us posted.

Trish and Humphrey - hope you girls are doing okay with the MS and the heat if it is bothering you.

Everyone else - another week has begun. We are closer to seeing our little ones!

Yay Tiff! You must be thrilled to have all your family at home now and Ivy and Noah are just adorable!

Sal - was thinking of you over the weekend, those niggly pains sound promising! Sending loads of labour vibes to you.

Jo my March buddy, looks like those bubbies aren't too far away. Hope you are well and taking care.

Good Luck Trish for Wednesday! We'll get it right eventually!!

Well as for me I had another scan on Friday, everything looked pretty good with baby measuring 35 weeks. I knew he wasn't going to be a tiddler! We're waiting for the report from the specialist but it appeared that the placenta had lifted clear although the sonographer wasn't 100% sure which put the ****s up me to say the least! She even tried to have a look vaginally with the scanner and pushing back on the babies head but he wouldn't move. Seems like his head is fairly well down in my pelvis so at least he's in a great position!

I should know for sure on Tuesday or Wednesday and then we can start getting ready for our home birth....crikey!!!

    Love to you all

Hi girls, well a disappointing night for me. I started getting what I thought was just BHs but they were spaced every five minutes...so then I thought I was in pre-labour. But they stopped, started again at 2.30am but stopped once more an hour later. Apparently this can happen for weeks (eeeek!) before actual labour commences. More LVs please!

Trish, good luck for Wed. How is your m/s going (and yours too, Justine)?

Amy, seems like you're in for a bouncing bubba, huh! Bummer that they can't be sure the placenta is clear...does this mean another u/s?

Hey Sal - As frustrating as it must be it does sound promising??!!

Yes they may do another scan if the results from this aren't conclusive. I guess the scary thing for me is that I can't go ahead with my homebirth if there is a chance my cervix isn't clear. The nearest hospital that does c-sections is 2 hours away. Anyway I am still feeling confident that all will go ahead as planned.

    Tam,

I'm a little late but congratulations on the arrival of Rylee and Declan. I had a squizz at the piccies, how adorable are they? Ditto Tiff, I can't believe how much Ivy and Noah have grown! Sal is right, you two are amazing to be able to get on here and keep us updated. We are grateful.

Sal, I am sending mucho LVs to you, hunny. This last stretch is just soooo long and soooo frustrating. Hopefully you'll have news for us overnight!

Amy, I hope you get some conclusive results for your scan, so that you can start planning for that homebirth. It's unsettling not knowing for sure what's going to happen, so hopefully your plans will be finalised soon.

Mel, shell, I hope you girls are keeping well at work still. I am starting to really struggle now and 5 weeks until I go on leave seems awfully far away all of a sudden.

humph and Trish, like the other girls, I'm hoping your m/s is starting to settle. Not long now until your NT scans, how exciting!

Shazz, only 5 days until you're in double digits too! Wow!

Someone here said that we've got heaps of people travelling along towards that 40 week mark and will be graduating from this forum soon, and that we need more people over from the LTTTC and LTAC threads. I couldn't agree more! Now that the festive season has passed, clinics are re-opening and everyone is getting back into the business of TTCing, we'll hopefully get flooded with new grads!

Well, DH and I have now officially started shopping for baby. Prior to this, I was sneaking in a purchase here and there, but he's now heading straight for baby shops and the baby depts in big chains to have a look at clothes and bunny rugs and stuff. It's soooo cute! We've started a checklist (the man had no idea how much a baby needs) and you can now find us in the 000-0 section talking through the pros and cons of each outfit! Lol!

Also, despite feeling bub move, he always seemed quite detached from the baby. I suspect it was him not wanting to 'bond' just in case. In the last week though, this has changed, with him talking to bub and blowing bubbles on my tummy and just generally getting more involved. I'm in heaven! It just makes it feel all so real now. I know it's such a small thing, but suddenly I feel his anxiousness dissipating, and I feel like we can truly enjoy the pregnancy like other parents.

    love

Awesome Tiff, congrats on Ivy & Noah finally coming home, hehe, I 2nd Sal's comment, cute chubby cheeks, good to c they put on weight quickly so could get out earlier than the EDD. :-) Great av too.

Amy, sounds promising, hope u get the all clear on Tue/Wed. I hear that it is normal to have a variation of +/- 2cm (1cm=1wk) for ur 'fundal height', it doesnt always mean bub's is going to be bigger though does it? I c my obgyn this arvy & hopefully he can see the gender to confirm the 75%.

Heaps more LV Sal, so only 3 more days til official EDD, wow.

Sush, fantastic news on DH's acceptance & on the shopping.

Well I made a list of what's left to buy & DH & I went shoppin yesterday & compared some prices. We got liners, wipes, c/balls, c/tips, powder, pilchers, container, plastic chng table matt (velcro's to top of a tall boy), so we'll return Target's (needed timber frame to be built). Still more to get though.
Fri we bought 83 items of clothing (0000-0) for $50 (n/paper advert), bargain... :-) Hats, socks, booties, singlets, jumpsuits, dress, pants, nappie cover (fluffy thing), tops, skirt, pillow case. Only 3 items have faint stains & some of the singlets. The majority are 000 but the sizes look bigger than some of the 000 clothes my sis gave me. Hmm, don't think I'll be needing any 0000-000 & maybe not even 00.. :-) I can always sell later at garage sale or ebay. Also got baby stuff from my cuz, extras she had & a pressie coz I'm not havin a baby shower.

A lady at Target confirmed big baby sale starts Thu although she wasnt too happy to confirm as only staff are supposed to know (new catalogue online prob Tue/Wed), so we'll wait & see how much the Angelcare monitors are then.

    Hope ur all well ladies.

Shell, you are super organised! I haven't bothered to buy c/balls and stuff like that, looks like bub won't be getting a bath straight away

Well I just spent the arvo getting checked out at the labour suite...I noticed spotting in my nickers and when I went to the loo this morning. Bub is 'happy as larry' in there, nothing wrong, seems likely it is part of my show. Am trying not to get my hopes up that things will be happening, but it's hard not to!

Sush, that is lovely that your DH is now bonding fully with your bub, it must be hard for the men, my DH said just yesterday that he is still feeling a bit detached from it all, after all apart from my moodiness and growing girth he hasn't had anything to do with the bub apart from that first important night 8-[

    Sal,

aside from his growing relationship to a cup, my DH wasn't even involved that first night! Hee hee!

I am quite relieved that DH seems to have turned a corner. I worried he wouldn't relax enough to enjoy this pg, and it's likely the only pg we'll have! But I do understand that the man often doesn't get as involved as we do. I actually feel a little sorry for him not being able to experience what I do.

shell, I actually got a movement only Angelcare for $129.95. Came with two sensor pads, which I didn't expect for that price, and I'll be using it in conjunction with a video/sound monitor. Yes, it's probably overkill, but this way, both DH and I get what we want!

Thanks too for the info that Target is having a sale soon. Must pop down for late-night shopping on Thurs!

    love
    sushee

PS Sal, I know they say that a show can come up to two weeks prior to labour, but I got a show with all three within 12 hours of the onset of labour. Here's hoping it's the same for you!

Shell and Sush, yes I've been buying stuff too. Fun innit?!!

I got some cot sheets at Target over the weekend. They were 20 percent off so only $7.99 a set. I got three sets.

Sal ... I am sending LVs silently as we speak.

Amy - hope all is on track for the home birth. Some years ago, I worked with a lady who had all three of her daughters at home with her husband and a midwife in attendance. She loved the experience and said she would do it again in a heartbeat!
