Sushee - Charlie is looking particularly handsome.
Sal - I'm booked in with Dr Armelin and suspect it will be John James as a result. I wasn't going to worry too much about where until I see him at 14 weeks. Should I be doing something? I'm still being looked after by my fertility specialist until then - even though it was a "spontaneous" pregnancy as they say.
Um, I assume you would have already had your ante-natal screen (BTs) done, probably through your fertility clinic. You having the 12w NT scan? Are you being talked into an amnio or CVS (I'm 35yo so my GP was asking me about them today)? I'm having the 12w scan, no further testing unless risk is high for something. I don't want any OB/GYN care, just want midwife care, hence Calvary.
Sal - I'm having a 7wk scan tomorrow (been getting progressively more nervous about that) and will see my FS at 10 weeks and have been told he will refer me for 12 week scan. Then I see my Ob at 14 weeks. I'll be 40 in October so - I imagine the medical profession is going to be suggesting I have every test known to mankind!
To be honest I'm just trying to get through tomorrow and see a fetal heartbeat and that everything is normal. The transition between subfertility and (hopefully) completely normal pregancy hasn't happened for me yet. And it definitely doesn't help that my poor brother & SIL (30) had to terminate their 14week pregnancy a couple of months ago because of a 1 in 150,000 defect which would have resulted in a full term pregnancy but immediate death at birth. My poor grandchildless mother is a nervous wreck!
But I also figure that the odds of that happening twice in one family in one year have got to be pretty low. Cross your fingers for me everyone.
Ohh lucky you Shell~seeing those gorgoeus bubs. I really need to read that meet up thread so I can come along next time!
Kar I have everthing crossed for you tomorrow hon. The lead up to the first scan is so exciting/nerve wracking, but just the best feeling in the world when you see that lil heart beating away!
Justine~LMHO re wetting yourself. I have a chest infection atm & am sneezing my head off. Often results in a 'little bit' gross huh!! Whooo you are next!! A to even out the numbers. Have you named her yet?
Sheree~how is that lil man going? Not long for you now either! Time will just fly now.
Sal~how you feeling today? Did you get much m/s with Miles?
Wow 27 weeks tomorrow  I am starting to get a bit antsy about the delivery. Bailea's was really easy considering she was 9lb 9oz. Did anyone elses' babies get smaller? This bub is measuring a week behind dates, whereas she was always 2 weeks ahead. I am hoping this one stays a little smaller
Wow.....lots has happened.
Congrats to Trish and the birth of the boys, how lovely.
Also congrats to Sal on your pg, I've gotta say that you are one lucky ducky for it to have happened so quickly...... I had 3 years and 12 IVFs for # 2
Wow Skye your tummy is small......congrats on 27 weeks.
I was upset on Fri and left work early b/c my boss reneg on my maternity leave agreement (documented 19 April). I was going to have 3 months - help them out over the phone etc, then the next 9 months one day a week in the office and the rest from home. So after that little hiccup, bugger the company I'm taking 12 months off.....
Thanks, Sheree. Bummer about reneging on your mat leave - can they do that, once it's documented?
Skye I'm sending you *smaller than 9lb9* vibes, you wouldn't want your next bub to be any bigger  OMG is that a recent piccie of your tummy? V impressive! Mine's still all stretched out from #1, I reckon I'm gonna have a baggy looking tum this time around LOL
Thanks for the smaller bub vibes Sal...I am hoping smaller this time as well. The delivery wasn't hard as such (but I had noting to compare it too) the recovery was just very ouchy! Yep that tummy shot is my 100 days to go piccy. I started big (progesterone tum) then got little now slowly getting bigger again. You can see how much it has changed on my webpage.
Sush glad to hear Charlie was smaller! Every little bit counts huh. The midwife just started laughing when she weighed Bai, chucked to herself that they only get bigger...gee thanks
Sheree.. at your work!! That is horrible. The last thing you need right now. Good on you for sticking it to them & taking a year off. Serves them right!!
DH is cleaning out the wardrobe in bubs room...ohh I have no idea where we are going to put all this stuff!! The room is currently Bai's play room...when do you think I should turn it into the babies room? I don't want to take her toy room away, but at the same time don't want to do it just before baby arrives? Any suggestions?
Hi everyone
Well we are all A-OK here. Baby has heartbeat and is measuring 8mm and was estimated to be 6w6d old which is exactly where I think I am. Thanks for everyones crossed fingers and well wishes. You are right the relief at seeing the hb is amazing. The u/s also showed that this is a left ovary baby - which is exactly what I thought! The last two weeks has been incredibly slow. I hope the next 5 weeks go a bit faster!
congrats Kar, you deserve it.. just noticed you got your very special BFP on my Grans 93rd birthday... the 18th June.. i am sure you will have a happy and safe pregnancy
