Sammi - bbtrail (Ali) is before me if you get a chance ...I think she posted 14th June
I don't want the boys to think they are next in line... not allowed out of their 'womb' until after July.
Hello everyone!! Hope youall got my pm last night!
I have copied this from my pregnancy journal, saves my typing it again....
19 weeks 1 day
Well we had our big scan yesterday! It was very exciting as the sonographer could tell me with 99.9% accuracy what we are having! It will be kept a 'secret' till birth as my DH loves to do the "It's a......." phone call from the delivery suite.
The scan was a bit weird, he said my baby was one of the hardest he'd scanned, it was getting quite squished by the placenta. The placenta was low, I need to be rescanned at 32 weeks to see how it is going. It is .6cm from the cervix, my OB hopes it will come up as my uterus grows otherwise I will need a c/s
The skin fold on the back of the neck was a little bigger than anticipated, I had it remeasured about 6 times. It is a soft indicator for down syndrome, my PAPPA test showed a 1:17000 chance of d/s, so not too concerned about that at the moment.
At my follow up appt with my OB afterwards I asked if he could tell the sex with his u/s machine. Baby has its legs shut so he couldn't but I will ask again at my next appointment.
All in all it was a great birthday present to see my little baby happily swimming around!
No I had a normal vaginal delivery with my DD. I figured if I can birth a 9lb 9oz bub with a 38cm head I can do anything, so I don't want a c/s this time!!
My DH & I have laughed all the way through this pg though...we said bcos our DD was an easy delivery & a natural conception this one will be the exact opposite. Sure enough we needed IVF & the possibilty of a c/s
I'm dying to know what Skye is having. I'm not sure if i can get pm's??? Hope to placenta moves nicely for you Skye.
My sister had a baby boy yesterday afternoon. 6lb2oz 49cm he's so tiny!!!
Very cute!! She is at the hospital I will be going to and we have the same OBGYN. I couldn't help but imagine myself there in 7 1/2 or so months!!
Charlie is having a nap for the first time in about 3 days so I thought I'd pop in and check out how everyone's doing.
Skye, I'm so happy for you hunny! It'll be so much funny going shopping now. I only just went out and got young Charlie some 'boy' clothes as he had far too much yellow and cream clothes! Lol!
Also went to see the CHN yesterday and Charlie is now 4.4kgs, which is almost a kilo up from his birth weight. He's a colicky baby - which is why I've been having a challenging week - but weight-wise he's doing marvellously. All I can do to help him with his rumbly tummy and pains is to give him loads of massages and warm baths, dose him up with Infacol drops (which only help sometimes) and if all else fails, to go for long drives and remind myself this isn't going to last forever. I love him so much that it's really distressing seeing him not be able to sleep, his little face scrunched up in pain.
But he loves his milk and as long as he's putting on the weight, I know he's doing okay, and that the wind in his belly is worse for him than it is for me, poor bub.
Also, another bit of good news, I turned 36 today, and this morning, I weighed myself and I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight! Now if I can only shed the kilos I put on having Ariani, Shay and Zaki....
Wow, Skye, looking at young Charlie I can't imagine you gave birth to a baby that size! Lol! I will definitely be sending you 'smaller baby' vibes!
Having said that though, Charlie's head circ was 37cm, so he wasn't much easier to push out!
And thanks for the birthday wishes. Charlie's alseep for once, my day is looking pretty good all up!
Speaking of which, I must write my birth story soon! (ETA: have done it! Helps when my darling baby naps for 2 hours straight! Almost don't know what to do with myself!)
