Just a quick one, seeing that I have 2 broken computers at the moment and struggling to post on my iPhone, is thee anyone that would like to take over the EDD list for me? It's pretty easy to do, if you're interested, please let me know!
Miss K - well done you for taking that on.... have a community service smile
Mindhugs - sore bbs is a good sign. I'd have hit DH round the head with a solid based pan if he'd have touched mine in the first 8 weeks. Lucky thing managed to survive though! I'm off for a massage as I've got a trapped nerve in my lower back, well lets be honest my bottom, and have realised I've just walked round south melbourne rubbing it in public. the one thing pregnancy isn't full of is dignity.... hope the obs went well BOC.
LondonMiss - Thanks for the well wishes. Hope you sorted your back out - ouch!
MissK - another Gold Coaster!!! We need to find a BB group on the Coast we can meet up with.
Everyone else - hi there, hope you're all doing fine.
AFM - 6.5wk scan was all good. There's a sack and a hertbeat. Just one baby in there!!! Next I have an 8wk, 10wk and 12wk scans. Morning sickness has set in - yuk. No vomitting, just horrible waves of nausea. Tried acupuncture yesterday and was temporary. I did some research and found the following might help???
Pumpkin Seeds
Dry crackers
Dried apricots
Breath mints
Lucozade
Berrocca
Ginger Beer (flat)
Does anyone else have any other tips for overcoming morning sickness?
Also - has anyone had a CVS or Amnio test? I'm considering it because of my age.
The most successful thing for me was never having an empty stomach, so I'd get some of those little (childrens) snack packs of dried fruit, esp pears which are highest in fibre, and eat them anytime you feel nausea coming on. Also avoid smells you know set you off, for me it was smokers and black coffee.I also found ice cold milk on cornflakes worked, dry crackers and eating cheese before I went to bed meant I woke up less with MS. I think I read that having protein before bed helped... if it's consolation, it will pass pretty quickly. I think mine stopped dead on 10 weeks. Hurrah for the sack and heartbeat
London Miss~
Hello!! I have been busy lately so havnt really had the time or energy to reply to the posts.Regarding the kicks...i could NEVER get bored of it either.I love it.Some days though bub is quiet and i might only feel 1-3 movements and other days, peanut is going crazy.I have to admit that on the quiet days, until i feel a kick,i begin to worry and have to get out my doppler to check. At 18 weeks did you feel movements varied each day?
Miss k and Mindhugs~ Im so glad that things are going well for you both.Congrats on the scan!
Afm, Our stupid landlord stopped paying their mortgage 6 months ago and are now having to sell.We only moved here 6 months ago, enrolled Connor into high school around the corner now we are set to have people coming through the house to view it every saturday. We still havnt got the car from the in laws so i cant go out to view rentals and DH went away for work for a week(returns today) so i have had to sort things out alone DH might have to go again on Monday but i told him he must be back early as our BIG scan is on wednesday.
I dont mind moving, but we just cant find anywhere that we can afford.
I am just taking comfort in my baby, but when i go hours without feeling bubs movements, that adds to the tension!!! AAArRRRGGHHHH!! Someone give me a xanax. LOL
