Juniper glad to hear your NT scan went well.
Jaki FANTASTIC numbers! Well done. It is definitely amazing at how quickly our bodies change early on. Enjoy it!
MaggiePie dont you just hate those nosy people!! I have actually learnt since going through this whole IVF journey never to ask someone when are they planning on getting pregnant etc as there are so many people these days having problems that you just dont know! As for the increase in libido.. Im sure DH is glad about that! Must be a girl thing as i too have had a very healthy libido my whole pregnancy!
Leabie lucky you on your babymoon. You will have an amazing time!!
Renee Yay on the belly popping out! Your students sound sooo cute!

Had our last U/S today and Miss Tiana is looking 100% perfect. Got to see her little squashed up face, back/spine, feet and legs, heart, bladder, diaphragm, placenta, umbilical chord etc. and everything was nice and as it should be. She is also weighing in at a very very healthy 3.2kgs! So now its just a matter of time!!

Jaki, yay for great numbers! Can't wait to hear how your u/s goes!

Renee, that's so cute! I've found I'm starting to think about what bub might be able to hear.

OT: With regards to the patio, our house is L-shaped and we'll be filling in the L part to make a rectangle (if that makes sense). The patio will be on the western side of the house, with the house to the east and north. Since the land rises to the east, we actually don't get much sun until the afternoon (western sun), but I noticed last week that the western wall of the rumpus was quite warm to the touch, and that's in winter... I'm a bit concerned that we won't get much breeze since it'll be completely sheltered on two sides. The roof will sit about a foot above the existing house roof, rather than meeting up with it, and the tradesman that DH wants to use said that we don't need insulation in that situation since the hot air can escape through the gap. I guess I'm just not convinced since I don't have any experience with any of it...

    Hi Ladies,

A big congratulations to everyone who has had great blood test / scan results. It makes me feel very positive!

I haven't really thought about the whole BD thing whilst pregnant before but I can understand if people don't want to or are worried. We had friends who abstained for the whole 9 months (twice) as the DH could not get around the pregnant thing and thought he was 'poking' his baby the whole time! lol....

Juniper - we built a deck onto the western side of our house, and put half laser light (50%) I think, and half tin (ie three strips of each in a row). It works really well, in summer you can get in the shade and in winter you can get in the sun. We don't have insulation, but it can get cold here at night even in summer so we have a gas heater to put under there if we need it. It also has a fence around and gate so I can put the kids out there even when it's raining so they can have a play outside and stay dry! Good luck with the building.

AFM - I have started to get some nausea setting in, particularly if I haven't eaten in ... oh say 30 minutes - yesterday I ate all day long! It's weird can't stand sweet stuff at the moment which is really unlike me... Had blood tests last week and Dr hasn't rung (she said she would if there was a problem) so assuming that is a good thing and I will see her in a month.

Here's to a nausea free day (funny a couple of days ago I was wishing I felt more pregnant and now I wish nausea was gone! Just can't be pleased)

Thanks Maggie. I was the same with sugary things - I couldn't eat them for weeks because they made me very, very sick. It was only when I got to 12 weeks and the m/s started fading that I could tolerate them again.

    question-rosemary extract?

    Hello Everyone,
I've been lurking a bit on this thread, so I thought I'd join in.
Congratulations to everyone here! I've been following people in the various forums and it's wonderful to see people get their BFP finally and their babies too, eventually!
My story is that I'm 12 weeks along, after a bumpy early start to the pregnancy (with lots of spotting, a threatened partial molar pregnancy, now ruled out thank God, and just a lot of angst/emotion due to the LTTC).
So, we had our NT scan on Tuesday and things were looking good, with low risk for Downs thankfully and just a very cute picture on screen. My DH and my dad were both really freaked by the images but my mum and I were just loving them. My parents weren't at the scan by the way - just showed them the DVD later. When the reception offered us the DVD my DH thought they would film us going into the room like a home movie! I thought that was pretty funny -it's that big a deal for us, obviously, but perhaps not for the staff at the ultrasound place.
Anyway, anyway ... I've been taking what I thought was this really "pure" New Zealand fish oil extract and it has 10mg of rosemary extract in it, and then I read online that pregnant women should avoid rosemary extract. But I emailed the company and they said it's a "trace" amount and safe. Obviously, I'll ask my ob next available opportunity, but does anyone have any experience? I want to take Omega 3 right now bc I read it's a key brain development time.
Anyway, well done everyone here and I'll try personals soon, too when I have rabbited on less.

    Jaki, omg, I loooove salmon!

worrywart, I'm glad to hear your scan went so well! I don't know anything about the rosemare extract, but the fish oil tablets my acupuncturist gives me contain: 1.0g Omega 3, 400mg EPA, 200mg DHA. My SIL is a naturopath and she was very approving of these tablets because of the EPA/DHA content. Just something to consider if you're thinking about changing.

CONGRATULATIONS LONDONMISS on the birth of baby CHARLOTTE!!! Lovely name...we had that on our shortlist. Enjoy your snuggles with bub.xox

Everyone else, well,Ellie is keeping us busy. She is sooooo tiny and delicate. Her birth was really a great experience.Took only 10 minutes to deliver from the time of the epidural to arrival and then another 30 to stitch me up.She sleeps alot and im trying to get the breast feeding sorted as my breasts and nipples are killing me.She had her cord around her neck and needed forceps to be delivered so she still has some bruising on her forehead and cheek which will be gone soon. She has lots of thick dark hair and dimples.I just love her.I cant believe how tiny she is.
Not sure how to post pics but am happy to add you on facebook so you can see her there.
Just mention in the friend request your forum name so i know who you are.
Best of luck everyone in your pregnancies.I wish you all the happiness, that a new baby brings.
Depending on how much time i have,i will head over to the "parenting after ltttc" forum.

Welcome and congrats, Worrywort! Sorry I don't know anything about rosemary extract either so can't help you there.

MaggiePie and Juniper, I am exactly the same as you both re DTD. It was strictly ruled out for the first 12 weeks and then my OB gave us the all clear but I'm very scared about it so have played it safe. I have a funny feeling that my OB will again rule DTD out in my third trimester ... being 19 weeks today (yay!) that doesn't leave many weeks left. Plus I'm sure I won't be feeling in the mood after a likely c-section and looking after twins for many months after giving birth Oh well, they can look after themselves for a while, is my motto.

Juniper, re the patio issue, I would definitely go for insulation if it's on the western side. In our climate I think it's prudent to have insulation esp for summer time, which let's face it is about 9 months of the year! Ha ha

Jaki, good news on your Hcg levels. It is amazing how quickly your body changes, esp the boobs! Mine went up a size very early and have been sore/tender the whole time. I naievely thought tenderness was an early pregnancy symptom only!

Renee, I love it that you're using your PG as a way to keep the kids quiet. Well done! Very cute.

Paula, you must be very relieved that Tiana is a healthy 3.2 kilos and she is looking perfect. Not long to go now!

AFM, we've got our morph scan this afternoon. Both excited and nervous - hoping that Downs can be ruled out at this scan as well as any other potential problems. Wish me luck!

Brunette, good luck today! Can't wait to hear the results! I tend to agree with you about the insulation. DH doesn't want to do it because it takes the price from 11k to 15k.
