ww - go you good thing! thinking of you and lairdoz. maybe try some meditation or visulation? might help you focus and cut out that pressure. don't worry about anyone else this is your moment and your bub will come when it's ready, not when it suits the family! fingers crossed it's soon!! and your hand recover lol for heaven's sake don't cut em off! how will you change pooey nappies!!! lol.
possums i love what you wrote "this is our time". gave me goosebumps!
best of luck WW, so close! can't wait to hear great news
kaybee- do you have your results yet?
afm- going ok (i think!) DH and I have been a bit grouchy with each other lately...he's been busy and stressed and I am tired and hormonal, lol ... we talked last night and things seem back on track today thankfully, we just need to be considerate and thoughtful
Mindhugs - so relieved to hear things are ok. Good luck for your scan.
Possums - you're almost there too - how exciting is it!!! Hope you and DH have sorted things out. It's funny how when things aren't working with getting pg we are all really close and tight and when things seem to be going well we start to niggle. Maybe it's just practise for when you are tired and sleep deprived and cranky with a baby?
WW - I can't believe the state your hands are in. How do you do anything? Does it ever get better? Sorry - making you type even more! Hope all your pains and niggles are the start of a lovely smooth labour.
Sorry - so tired from working extra days. My blood results were all good - phew. Low risk for Down's. Now I can start telling people. Here goes....
Hi everyone,
Just a quickie as frantically packing for our trip to NZ (leave tomorrow and away for 10 days). I had an ultrasound today and baby looks great. He/she was waving and kicking so got to see the limbs really well. Heartbeat was good and strong so it was reassuring - especially seeing I still haven't had any morning sickness (now 11 weeks and 2 days) so had been getting a bit worried but the Dr told me I should just relax and enjoy the pregnancy now.
I had the bloods taken for the NT scan as Dr told me that it must be done before 12 weeks. I had been told I could have it done the same day as the scan but that isn't until 13 weeks 1 day so I had to have a frantic trip to pathology this morning to get the bloods taken before we left (as I will be 13 weeks when I get back and that is apparently too late for the blood test).
Hope everyone has a good next couple of weeks, and I'll catch up with you all when I get back.
Hellooo everyone
it's impossible to keep up on here anymore!!! I read/laugh/cry/sympathise but rarely write now.
Congratulations to all the newbies and those whose scans have recently been done with great results.
Jaki - our due dates are days apart so I always wonder how you're going!! ;-)
AFM - well 33 weeks yesterday. all is good, saw the midwife as doc on holiday. he was breech for the first appointment in a while, his perfect wee head shown to me when midwife pushed on my tummy :-)
we had a scare at 31 weeks, nothing serious but I didn't have any movement from waking up to eating brekky....an hour and a half, which is very unusual, as he always moves first thing, or when I get hungry or when I eat. But called the hospital to speak to the midwife who was great and drank some water and lay there rubbing, pushing and prodding with DH staring as intently at my belly and then he woke up I guess!! It was then I cried, as the emotional tension was released (I'd been trying to not let my mind run away with 'what ifs') No problems since.
My varicose veins have popped on backs of my legs and in my groin area...plse may they be temporary, and my sciatica has returned with avengence, making me limp the majority of the day. Had awesome massage yesterday to ease it, and midwife recommended physio so will check that out.
I've gone from 69kg to 73kg so pretty happy with that. I guess need to actually watch what I eat more in the last weeks now.....kinda haven't done that so far ;-)
Still getting between 1 and 3 hours continuous sleep at a time before I have to wake to pee or turn over - that's been since about 8weeks.
but .... in the big scheme of things, I'm doing ok and every day I remember how blessed we are, and how different things were this time last year for us.
big belly rubs to everyone...now who's next to pop????!!!! xx
Sorry i've been really slack just had trouble concentrating and been going to bed really early. DD2 also had a spate of vomiting - 4 nights in a row multiple times poor little thing I think it was reflux related so have started her back on her medication.
Hi worrywart - not long now - hope everything goes really well for you and bubby and your poor hands come back to normal!!
Hi Possums - glad to hear you're going along well - you're posts are always so positive to read! i have been pretty grouchy at dh lately too and feel bad for snapping........can i blame hormones... not entirely i suppose.
Hi Mindhugs - sorry about your scare but glad everything is ok now!
Hi Grub - I can definitely relate to hearing horrible stories and being a bit paranoid.....am trying not to listen to anything negative at the moment though or i think i will go insane, so heartbreaking, hopefully it will continue to be a smooth sail for us all! Best of luck for your scan on valentines day
Hi Kelly - hope you're managing to stay as comfortable as possible - sounds squishy in there!
Hi Kaybee - yay for a great scan!
Hi Lori - glad to hear your scan went well, have a good trip to nz
Hi Jaki and Airline - glad to hear you're both going along well! not far away now, i always put most of my weight on in the first trimester because i eat so much to stop the nausea but then it slows down towards the end (i probably do things the wrong way around though).
Hi Lairdoz and Leabie!!
Last Thursday I had a midwife appt and heard baby's heatbeat yay! but on monday morning i woke up to a small gush of bright red blood i thought it was all over and was petrified, but had a scan (am 12 weeks today) and everything looked great baby looked liked a baby too, so now I am attached........and hope everything is ok. my paranoia about germs and food is really starting to get to me!!!
aimee- top news about your scan, what a relief for you. I think we all worry about different things along the way
grub- good luck for your scan ...and yep, I too try and not expose myself to too much negativity- i dont need anything extra to freak me out! just because this time was easier for you, doesn't mean all isnt just fine
kelly- glad your boys are measuring spot on, although it's going to get pretty squeezy in your tummy!
kaybee- thats great news! so please for you- into the second tri!
lori- glad your scan was good and have fun in NZ
jaki- glad things are going well- well done with your weight/diet changes
airline- well done with the weight gain...not too long to go now. glad that massage helped you
a big hi to everyone else
afm- nervously waiting for my 12 week scan next weds and the screening and hoping all is fine with the baby and we are low risk. yesterdays progesterone results were good (still over 200). Nausea has eased (although suffering a bit of constipation despite eating very well!) and have a small bump.
