Mindhugs - your accupuncture sounds cool. I actually want to try it to kick my (serious) sugar addiction. Do you know whether people have had any success with that kind of thing? Also, I take the spatone at the moment - I have to take two sachets with juice (yuck, I dont usually drink anything but water, and juice in the morning kills my stomach) and then wait an hour (well they said two but there's no way) before I have any breakfast. I can practically feel the acid from the juice eating away at my stomach! So far only mild iron-associated "blockage" but not too bad. I have a history of seriously low iron so it's not terribly surprising this has happened again. Dang little Ninja is stealing all my goodness!!

Glad your bubba is giving you some good kicks - it's so reassuring

    Hi,

I won't write much this time - have just caught DS's cold - damn it - I was trying so hard not to get it. I sooo don't want it to drag on, so will keep this short and go to bed. I have a pretty lazy bub this time around - I don't feel a lot of movement and even went to the hospital the other day to check it was still galloping away in there (it obviously was or I wouldn't be so blase about it). Um, oh damn, I can't even remember what I was going to say.

Oh well, hope you're all well xo

    lol kaybee... baby brain attack!!!
How are you going? when does dh return? and I hope your cold doesn't linger either. it sucks being sick and pregnant.

bub is sitting on my right side and making my tum a very strange shape! and i feel sooo full of baby. I"ve noticed the movements have gone from lots of kicking to more turning and squirming.

I just want these next 2 or so months to fly by so i can have my prize!!!! but then again, a newborn is a lot of work lol.... and I've only really just got my first one trained, so to speak, to sleep and eat and generally be resonably independent. Although after a poo he did today, DH and I are thinking about withholding food til he can wipe his own bum... It was proper rotten!

well off to bed with a cross word I"m spending tomorrow arvo at a scrapbooking workshop sans DS and DH. I'm doing DS's album, hoping to get it finished or up to date before the new bub arrives!!!

mh - thakns for that info. i've been a bit scared to try accupuntcure just cos I want to go to someone who really knows what they are doing as as we just moved here... it can be hard iykwim!

    hi kelly and boys

ooh gotta run to the loo. will be back later for persies... don't wanna pee myself.... again today hahahaha

Welcome to the mad house Trishy, I'm happy you found all us girls who will be here to support you through the rest of your pregnancy.

    I'm still here....bugger....

Had my Ob appt on Thursday and he is so happy with how everything is going that he wants to leave the boys put for a little longer, although I have been told to make sure we are ready at anytime as I measured at 45 weeks pregnant (for a singleton) so my body will probably start to react as it is way bigger than it thinks it should be. We all went out yesterday to get some things for DD and did a huge grocery shop as well as I want to make sure that DH has enough food in the house if I do have these guys soon, so I thought a good 3 hours of walking around would be helpful to get something started. So far all it seems to have done is exhausted me and made my bits extremely painful - due to the pressure - but nothing else yet, although my Ob is on holiday this week so DH is positive I'll go into labour now but luckily my FS is covering for my Ob as he is a baby doctor as well so no harm really if he has to deliver these guys.

Apart from that we have now also reached that magical 34 week milestone, so definately no trip to Melbourne and the babies start getting a sucking motion from no on. I've also started to manually express as well to prepare my body for BFing as well, so this might also help rev things into gear. How bizarre it is now to think that probably within the next 2-3 weeks my babies will be here and I'll be a mummy of 3 when I never thought I would be a mummy of 1.

Hope everyone else is doing well and is looking forward to Easter... I know I am as DH has 6 days off, so unless I've had the babies this week it means 6 daddy days for DD while mummy gets to have lots of rest.

    Hi Kelly,
sounds like you are getting well organised. I'm sure it won't be long now. I can't imagine being so huge and still managing to look after your DD while hubby is at work. At least the 6 days off will be good for you. Tell the boys not to come until after Easter so you can enjoy that break first. :-) How much time will DH get off work after you have the boys?

AFM: just paid a depoist for a split system heater/air con. I'm very excited... I might get through this winter without freezing. For the past 4 winters we have only had a wood heater and I thought with the pregnancy and then a young bub there is no way I'm going to manage cutting up wood and carting it inside and constantly having to restoke the fire so I'm looking fwd to having "normal" heating.

Thanks DR, DH will have 6 weeks off in total once the boys arrive as he has 4 weeks annual leave plus 1 week Paternity Leave and also RDO's saved so that will be a huge help for me to not be worrying about DD while I'm trying to get the boys organised. Then once DH is back at work my parents will be coming to help out with DD as well, I have also found out that we will be eligible for Home Help once the boys come home as well so at least I know my house will be cleaned for me as well.

    Hi Ladies,

Ooh all this talk of resting and heaters is making me want to climb back into bed this morning.

Kelly - congrats on making 34 weeks. Gosh you made it through 3 hours of shopping. Wonder Woman!

BugsMum - I would seriously recommend you consider something like Hypnosis for your sugar addiction. It works great for that sort of thing Acupuncture will help with the detox, but I'm not sure that would be enough on it's own to help you kick the habit.

Trishy - hi there. Come on in. We're very friendly.

Kaybee - I'm in week 21 and some days I get a lot of fluttering and other days not much feeling at all. So nerve racking. Also I don't think I look very big in the tum yet. My nieces told me I don't really look preggers. Yet scans all show things are good in there???

Grub - hi!!! Oh the nasty poo. I'm dreading those. I've named DH Captain Poo, but of course he won't be home to deal with them 24/7.

Possums - are you guys back yet? Hope not Hope you're somewhere lovely relaxing with DH and enjoying time together as a couple!!!

AFM: I'm feeling scary Mary about small tum and sporadic movements, but I'm sure that's all normal at this stage.

hi everyone! thanks for your kind wishes...we got back sunday night...we had a lovely break...we had booked it ages ago..I had to see my endocrinologist, and then we went to see a ballet in Sydney then to the blue mountains for a couple of nights- we love bushwalking and having a change of seasons and cold weather (and a fireplace) was great. It was a bit of a splurge for us to do all those things, after trying to live on a tight budget, but we thought we should do these type of things while we are still just a twosome It was great for us to have quality time together away from the day to day stuff. We did have one big blow up after getting home (!), but I think it cleared the air on a few things.
Luckily, we also have a couple of weeks hols coming up as it turns out... DH has to see some clients in Noosa...and we are then going to spend time there, before a cheap week by the beach at Yamba...a favourite place of ours, and normally a place we love to surf together...although this time I will have to be one of those women who sits on the beach and watches So looking forward to it. I am a journo, so I have to work most of Easter.
apart from that, my tummy, which everyone kept telling me was very small has really popped out more just in the past week or so! and I think I have felt a couple of little flutters..nothing very clear yet though. Hoping in the next couple of weeks I will (that's when I was told to expect movement, with the placenta at the front). It's weird getting used to this new shape, after having always had a flat tummy...and hardly any boobs! Now I am, well, a lot more rounded in both those areas

I have been reading to catch up with all your news...

Kelly- you are doing so well! and congratulations on reaching the 34 week mark..your boys will be getting bigger and stronger all the time... I bet it does feel amazing to think you will soon be a mum of 3...you are doing a great job managing everything

grub- hope you are feeling well this week..lol about the strange shapes in your belly

MH- yay for lots of kicks and growing! I love acupuncture too...and yep, i think sporadic movement sounds very typical for this stage

trishy- welcome...great to see you in this thread

bugsmum- good luck with that sugar addiction and iron levels...hope all going ok

kaybee- i really hope things improve with your DH and that you are feeling better

dreamrise- a good heating system sounds great- we need some better heating too..and this way you can be warmer while feeding in the cooler months etc

oneday- yay for moving along and seeing those weeks creep up

and a big hi to everyone else and anyone I may have missed

    Hi Girls

Just wanted to freak you all out... At my Ob appt last Thursday I was measuring as being 45 weeks which is scary, but at my appt today (6 days later) I am now measuring at 52 weeks. No wonder I have been getting so many BH and mild contractions, I have no idea how much more my body can stretch..

    Hi ladies

Thought I would pop back and introduce myself to those I dont know. Well I have a daughter who is 3, I fell pregnant with her just as I was about to start an IVF cycle naturally. I have Endo and PSOC, plus only one tube after an ectopic pregnancy in 2009. I have had 2 m/c in total one before C and one during my IVF journey which I think was a twin pregnancy but it wasnt confirmed, other than a positive test that the levels went down later and bleeding. I fell pregnant this time on my 4th cycle and had to do stim cycles eacch time as I didnt have and frosties left over. It was probable going to be our last attempt due to my age and just not having the $$$$$.

Well thats all the sad stuff. So blessed to be pregnant with this little boy which was so wanted and now completes our family we ant wait to meet him. Looking forward to get to know the ladies I dont know in this thread

Kelly will they let you go to the 18th? It seems such a long way away.

Possum I wouldnt mind being some where warm for Easter, the weather has turned for the worse in Melb.

    Hi grub and oneday

Mindhugs your movements seem normal to me, plus I think when we get busy we miss them its only when I sit down and try to rest or here at the lappy that I can feel bub do its thing

Lori I've been thinking about getting a split for our back room, we have ducted heating but if I need to sit up with bub I would prefer to switch it on in just this end of the house.

Kaybee I have a cold too thanks to my daughter, hope you are feeling better.

Bugsmum I have a history of low iron stores really should get a test done to see where I am at with it.

Have a lovely Easter if I dont pop back before

    Hi everyone!

Firstly - Welcome Trishy! Looking forward to sharing this journey with you. Yes do get your iron checked. I have a history of very low iron but I was vegetarian for awhile so it wasn't too surprising. Now I eat heaps of red meat so I wasn't expecting a problem but obviously my little one is a bit of an iron sucker. I tell you what, the iron supplements have made such a difference I can actually think clearly now whereas a week ago I was a big muddly mess.

Kelly - my god you are freaking me out. Lets hope your little men give you a break soon. I dunno, typical males!!

Mindhugs - hypnotherapy you say! I am willing to try anything. I am actually doing the sweet poison quit plan - this is my day one - and so far I've managed to not rip anyone's head off. But I'm expecting some big withdrawal symptoms soon. And dont worry too much about the movement at that stage Ninja was pretty sporadic too. Completely normal hun.

Possums - You keep taking those holidays girl... while you still can *insert evil laugh*

Kaybee - How are you feeling? Hope you are on the mend...

Well, I am 28 weeks tomorrow, I can't believe I'm here already. Have my weekly scan tomorrow and while they are reassuring they are driving me nuts. My mum comes and look after DS when I go so the only say 2 hours a weekk break I get is battling the traffic to the OB clinic (at the hospi), trying to find parking etc. But at least 5 day weekend coming up, even if DH will be spending a heap of it working at home . We are going to be setting up DS's room so that is very exciting.

Have a great easter everyone - Kelly, keep us posted!!
