Pregnancy after LT TTC #17

Hi to everyone! Just because I am ever the optimist I just had to pop in with my almost news, even though not confirmed and it could all come crashing down I just can't help my self. I am now almost 6 weeks since my D&C. I haven't had a proper AF since but had a feeling I was going to O and have a positive opt, so DTD and blow me down have been getting progressively stronger hpts since Fri. AF is due tomorrow but going by the strong line on this mornings test I don't think she will show. At least I hope so. For some one who has never had a natural BFP I am in utter amazment. Will call my OB tomorrow to see if I can have a BT or what he thinks. But can you believe it? I am hoping this time it's real.

bdt - i'd definintely ring the clinic and ask for a test!

speaking of chocolate, dh ate my cadbury family sized bar (well some of it) and 'replaced' it this arvo with woolworths 'select' bar and i'm afraid some homebrand supermarket chocolate really really doesn't float my boat. I'm so mad! had to have an apple instead pft lol.

oh oneday - i think you can still have one, just no pics and have to keep it to a certain size. I just got rid of mine altogether cos it was all too much for my preggy brain to comprehend and i really just couldn't be bothered lol... lazy cow!

omg my belly is getting so big, i think it's dropped a bit, i have a really round bottom bit now. (and a really really really round big back bottom! lol). Hit a bit of a wall. attempted to vacuum today, got half a room done and ended up sitting on the lounge in tears cos I felt so useless... dh had to finish the vacuuming for me... and the washing and most of the hosuework cos i'm just getting so tired and it's still very warm here atm. So annoying seeing stuff that needs doing but not being able to do it.

ooh ramble!

belly rubs and going to find some proper chocolate! told dh only cadbury or lindt from now on! ggrrr

BDT: well this would be so exciting and i do know someone who fell natural after her IVF baby was 1 year old. it took her years to get the first BFP. pray this is the case for you, got fingers crossed. x x

i have found it a bit hard to get real excited even though i get BFP's every time i test and no AF, so i am 3 days over ( i'm NEVER late). i wanna get excited but i don't want the other lttc girls to feel a bit sad cause they've got BFN.
i find out tomorow BT in morn, so should get results in arvo ?

i wanna get excited but i don't want the other lttc girls to feel a bit sad cause they've got BFN.

Don't feel like that JBM. LTer's LOVE it when one of their own gets a much awaited BFP. They share your joy. Sure, they wish it was them too, but in my experience, it just reminds them that it IS possible and that it might just be their time next.

I haven't officially congratulated you yet - because i was waiting until your BT result. They should tell you by the afternoon. Don't go crazy waiting!!

Hi everyone,

JBM and BDT hope you both have positive news to share with us very soon.

I was wondering how many of you have had the 3D/4D scans done. I know they are quite expensive and you can't get anything back from medicare but I'm thinking about getting one to try to confirm the baby's sex - since the sonographer was so vague in his response to me that it "might be a girl". I really need to know as I still feel like it's a boy and I don't want to get all excited about a girl only to find out that it is a boy afterall. I was told on the 3D/4D scans even I would be able to tell (see the gentils myself).

So for those who have had one what was it like? Do you think it was money well spent? I have to say I don't really like the face shots you see - they all look like aliens!

Hi loverlies, thanks so much for the well wishes, I have to wait until tomorrow morning for the BT results, feeling very patient (NOT!) will post as soon as I hear .

JBM, stalking you too hun, have you gotten your results yet? Hoping they are wonderful numbers.

Lori my ultrasound place did 4D as a rule, and always included a few pics. You are 20+ weeks yes, so it should be able to show pretty clearly if bub is in the right position, I think it is only the 12 week 4D ultrasounds that could be missleading as the nubby looks so similar. Though do you need to have/pay for the full 4D, if you had another normal scan perhaps you would get a better look. If you can't see in the normal, I don't know that you would see in the 4D. Hope that makes sense?

Kass - Yay on the first scan!! It's the best feeling ever huh. Congrats on seeing your little peanut/blobby/whatever you call it!

Lori - we had the usual 4D scans at 12 and 20 weeks but also my OB has a machine so we get them every week. But if I was in your position and it was very important to know the sex then I'd just do it. I'm not sure whether you can get back from medicare - probably not if you don't have a medical reason/referral. If it makes you feel better we don't know what we're having and I'm terrified it's a girl!! Not sure what I'd do with one!

Dreamwise im def getting a 4d scan, i think its worth the money and for sure they will be able to see the genitals as i was told if i didnt want to know dont have it cause its so clear.
