JBM: That's so exciting for you. Did they tell you the numbers at all, although they are so hard to really go by... With DD at 13dpt (day 3's) my HCG was 305 and progesterone 80 and with the twins also at 13dpt (day 3's) my HCG was 351 and progesterone 90. So my numbers were pretty close both times but the slightly higher one was the twins. As I said, maybe you will take over now being the twin mummy in this forum.

BDT: I can't wait to hear your results...

DR: We had the 4D scan with DD at 26 weeks as we wanted to have something to show her later in life, this time around with all of our scan we automatically get a CD with the images. Lake Imaging at Howitt Street did the 4D scan for DD, and the cost was around $160 which you don't get anything back from Medicare and the sacn went for about an hour.

Big hello to everyone else, I'm still plodding along but am getting sick of all these pretend contractions and lower back pain and period type cramps with nothing getting stronger. Although I have my sister here now for a few days before the IL's turn up, so maybe I can relax a bot now and let things happen knowing if we have to go to the hospital in the night time we don't have to get DD out of bed. Worse case 1 week to go...

JBM - WOW!!! That's great news. We all know how that moment feels. Huge congrats and welcome to this thread. It's so great to get some new faces in here. Me, Poss & Kass have been the newbie's for too long now, need to pass the mantel on.........

BDT - any minute now. We are all holding our breath for you. Would be great to go on the journey with you

Kelly - oh geez. I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be feeling, yet excited that you don't have long!!!! Your cup runneth over very very soon!!!!

DR - my OB does normal scans every visit, and I had another one yesterday. He zeroed in on the bl**dy anatomy again. He looked at me and said, did you want to know what you're having because it's all here. I said "I already know, but nice to know it's STILL a boy". But I loved the 4D scans - nothing is left to doubt.

AFM - kick kick kick! All the time, and in painful places!!! Feeling the best I have during this pregnancy. Although my blood pressure has continued to drop, so lacking in a little energy.

    Hi to all!!!!!

    Hi ladies,

I'm going to poke my head in here too if that's ok.

I'm about 8w pregnant after our first round of IVF.

I'm still struggling to really get excited about it, even though we've had 3 scans and everything is growing as it should. I am still freaking out after being told it's a week behind my IVF dates (so measuring about 7w)... but we've seen the heartbeat and everything is looking great.

Everyone is so excited, but I just can't seem to let go just yet.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone

Hey Elocin - welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy!! The fact that you've seen a heartbeat is a great sign but I know what you mean - it's completely normal to hold off on the excitement for a while. Hang in there and it gets easier as you pass more time.

Mindhugs - glad you're getting lots of kicks and feeling good!!

Hi everyone else!! Things are getting desperate here. I resorted to eating "subpar" chocolate yesterday... That's when you know I'm at rock bottom hehe

yay JBM! good to see you here!

Elocin - good to see you again It takes a while to sink in doesn't it? I'm feeling a lot more confident after yesterdays scan, but we're still not ready to start telling anyone. (Well, I'm not - DH has been wanting to since the first bt )

Bugsmum - Subpar choccie? Oh dear

Hi mindhugs - sounds like you have a very active one there

Kelly - Hope it's not too much longer for you

    Hi to everyone I've missed

oh bug's mum, i'm so sorry to hear that you are settling for crap chocolate! my heart goes out to you. i hope you can get some decent stuff soon. (do you realise we both sound like drug addicts talking about chocolate allt he time lol).

I have an even sadder tale, after eating my sub-par choc and turnign to fruit instead, I've now got the taste for fruit and didn't even have one piece of chocolate yesterday (okay choc chip muffins don't count lol). i'm off to buy lots of fruit at the shops today! what is the matter with me... bbooooo hooooo. Mind you i also plan to buy some chips

oh kelly, for heaven t'betsy, tell those boys it's over, that's it, get outta my belly! i'm sure you have been having many a quite word with them. have you done the walking, bouncing, sex, curry, clary sage, pressure point, stand on your head and blow your nose things that all the old wives' talk about??? at least you've got helpers on the way!

elocin- meh, don't worry too much about dates at this stage. we showed a bit behind at our scan to our FET dates and by what was the reevaluated 12 week scan, i showed 13 weeks! i think it's like you bts, the baby grows when it growns, so if you'd had the scan the next day, it may have shown bag-on dates. We have been given three dates June 23 by FET dates; then July 1 at viability scan; then June 26 at 13 week scan. But welcome and huge congrats! the next few weeks are pretty stressful and exhausting as you constantly worry but hopefully all is well for you my love

mh - is there anything they can do for the BP situation? it must suck to have it low all the time. yeah i feel generally beaten up on the inside atm. and my belly is now so big (kelly i'm just pretending i haven't seen yours! lol) that it really hurts to roll side to side in bed now.

arh, better go. have playgroup and am surprising dh by dropping off some morning tea for him.

bdt, will be checking up on you!!!

    trishy how are you going???
    Kass? you good love???

    Hi Nic,

Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy. I think that it's perfectly normal to not be too excited and perhaps being your first round of IVF you feel a little bit like - it couldn't be that easy something has to go wrong?

One of my friends got pregnant on her first go of IVF too. They only had one embryo. Had it transfered fresh and it took. Everyone was amazed but she said she had felt in her gut that it was going to work. Anyway she ended up having a pretty bad pregnancy - had to finish work around 20 weeks due to complications and ended up giving birth at 26 weeks. Poor bub was in hospital for 100 days post birth but the good news is that he is doing really well now and meeting appropriate milestones for his "adjusted age" (what he would be if he'd been born at the right time).
So despite all the worries when he was in hospital it has had a happy ending.

Hopefully your little bub won't cause you an grief and it will be a fairytale from here on.

    Hi everyone,

BT results took forever, just heard the news and it is offical. Hcg at 14dpo was 110, so pretty happy with that, Betabase says it is perfectly average for one little bub. Won't be having another BT until next Monday then will see my OB from there. So fingers crossed.

JBM just wanted to say again congratulations, so happy for you, and it is truely your time! Can't wait to hang out in here with you.

Hi to Nic, as the girls have said, it will get easier and you will feel more confident as you go along. I am feeling the same, but determined this time to be excited, I didn't quite feel it was real last time, and unfortunately ended in m/c. Regardless of the outcome I wish I had have enjoyed it more. But this time is different, right?

Hi to everyone else. MH I text'd you, hope you got it, let me know if you are free anytime. Bug's Mum & Grub, now I am thinking about chocolate, I have a few left over from Easter and have been slowly making my way through, I have about 3 more days worth left. After that will try to eat better, we are off to Europe at the end of the month for 4 weeks, and don't want any baby belly in a bikini to look any bigger than it needs to be .

KellyD, I know the feeling, I had a C section at 37 weeks, the last few weeks were just so hard. Hope you are resting up and will be holding my breath for you.

Kass, I don't think I have ever posted to you, but have stalked you for a while, so happy to see you here too.

    Love to all xx

Hope you don't mind me sticking my head in again girls - but had to come and congratulate JBM and BDT! Also a big congrats to Elocin (although I don't know if we have met before, but us LTTCer's are really like family I think).

Good luck to you all with your pregnancies. For those doing it the first time, it only gets better and better as baby comes into your life then grows into a toddler - seriously I am constantly thinking that this has to be the best stage with my DD and then something else happens and I think 'oh no this is the best!'

And a special mention to KellyD - You are doing a seriously great job with those little boys of yours! I have such respect for you Mumma.

Welcome and congrats Elicon and JBM !!!!!! Elicon dont panic about your dates, when i had my dating scan they also put me a week behind, then i went to my IVF spec/obstertrician and he said no you are what the original date was becuse we can pin point to the day when we put it in so we are very accurate, then when i went for two other scans after that (9 weeks and 12 weeks) my dates were right, i think becuase its still so small at that stage its hard to get it right so dont worry your next scan will prob be what you thought you were xxxx
