My hips, my HIPS!!!! I've had 2 very rough nights of sleep. My bum and thigh joints are killing me. At one point when I rolled over last night I thought one of my hips had dislocated!!! Does anyone have any tips or solutions for this? Otherwise I'm off to the Physio..........again! Everything is cracking and moving, plus the pain in bum feels a bit like sciatica or something. Aaaaaargh!
Grub - you're next you're next you're next!!! Yew! Exciting. I remember when I came in here and you were past the 20 week mark, and I was thinking "I wonder what it's like to be that far pregnant". And now YOU ARE DUE! Gosh, just goes to show how quick it all goes huh? I'm finding the 2nd half of the pregnancy is flying. Good luck, if you have to slip out early to give birth, just know we are all thinking of you and very excited!!!
Farmgirl - I so understand wanting to feel some kind of symptom like MS to confirm that pregnancy is all good. But my god, did I have it bad. Not sure I would wish that on anyone. Mine didn't really start to kick in until the 6 week mark, so you could be in luck yet (sic). I'm sure everything is absolutely fine with your bub on board regardless :)
Kaybee - the long waiting clinic - ugh! My OB always seems to be running late from some emergency CS or something like that.
Trishy - takes it's toll being pregnant at this age huh. At least you got to experience what it was like to be preggers a few years younger. This is my 1st! The tiredness is kicking in, but I'm finding it hard to accept and try to keep going. Probably a bit silly of me. Hope little DD is feeling better soon.
Well I capped off my gluten run on the weekend with a home made sticky date pudding!!! I paid for it with my allergies, just some bloating and mild liver pain. Hope bub enjoyed it. I am aware I'll have to back off all my allergy food when breast feeding as well. Can I really go another 18 months or so being a good girl? Aye - so hard......
-
i still not have net at home
my EDD is still same at 6 jan 2012. all my boys were early so will not make this date anyways. lol
:bellygrowing:
i have horrible evening sickness still . so so yuk
but hopefully i'll lose some weight cause i'm not eating as much. lol:wall:
bdt: just sending you a big hug . x x :grouphug:
will chat soon to all
-
trishy hope it all goes well today. when do you get the results? i really hope you feel better soon love.
albi - how are you doing love? i hope things went okay at the weekend. ox
kaybee - ugh, i really feel your pain regarding waiting for the clinic with a young child! at least our birth centre has a play room and DS is happy to go in there (so long as he can see me) while we wait... but mind you i only wait for about 10 mins each time, so gotta love that (sorry to rub it in). But with DS we'd regularly wait for our OB for 2 hrs or more... and we'd always know we were in for a long wait the days DH forgot to take his book with him lol
glad the party went well... my bet is you'll do it again next year cos 9 months old is better than preg lol
mh - hips. let's talk about hips. you are describing exactly what i had with both pregnancies but this one is worse. the only relief i get are pillows between my legs and not twisting ... so try to keep my legs even rather than one tucked into me and the other straight, which twists your hips. I also find putting a pillow under my right side so i can semi lay on my back but don't hae the pressure on that veiny thingy. It's very painful some nights but i find i get two or three terrible sleeps in and then through sheer exhaustion will get one great night's sleep! typical eh!
AND OMG mindhugs - are you trying to kill me!!! Sticky date pudding is like my favourite dessert ever ever ever. we even had it at our wedding cos i'm so in love with it!!! lol
jbm - lol i would give you sympathy regarding the evening sick but... well you know, i just can't do that cos it just means great things are happening in 'yer bellie'
aimee and kass - how are our lovely mummies to be?? you both do great persies and then hardly mention how things are going for you. Hope you are both well. oxox
hi dreamrise and oneday!
Possums - back to earth post holiday??? lol. how are you feeling! can't believe you are so far along now!
Hi farmgirl, hope that bath was great :)
Kelly - love hearing from you oxox take care of yourself, but i know your boys are behaving so nicely for you - pay off for all that hard work in growing them perhaps???
had some major prelabour stuff on saturday night and actually thought i was getting mild contractions but fortunately it settled down :) but feeling very very sore "in there'' and "loose'' lol iykwim. Feet are hugely swollen and it no longer goes down over night ugh. Have cut back from 3 playgroups/coffee groups a week to one as it's all too much. I forgot how tough the last month is, espeically with a toddler. but i figured i have 10 days til 37 weeks! so that doesn't sound long and then i'll be lodging the bub's eviction notice
on the plus side, i vacuumed this morning (ssehhhh don't tell dh lol) and got a heap of jobs done.. yes, Kaybee, DH told me he'd 'do the floor'... so he wet a mop and ran it over the floor but didn't bother to sweep first :wall: and then totally blew me off when i said he needed to sweep... apparently, no you don't and "i'll do it once a week and it'll be good"! WTF :wall:
anyhoo glad it wasn't the end of the world as i'm so keen to meet this baby

Hi ladies, i need your advice, i got my disc and films from scan back today and im very dissapointed :( they only put 2 good pics on the disc and i tried to scan from the films and it dosnt work!! i have another appointment at another ultrasound place that i havnt got around to cancelling (i had 2 booked as my first place went into recievership) then i got a more suitable appointment so didnt need the one for this wed, but my family that lives 5 hrs away wants to see some pics and im upset that i didnt get any on a disc and the ones on the film arnt even that good, iv also got another referal letter so im wondering if im completeley out of my mind going to have another scan on wed? i was going to be honest and ring and tell them im not happy with the first one. As you ladies know its a very special time, one im not sure will happen again so i just want to be happy with the pics.
Grub thats exciting, not long now!!!
JBM i hope your sickness passes soon xx
Mindhugs i get these wierd pains in my bum too?? i was told its from the relaxin homone realesing in the body?
-
oneday - i'd do it again. you probably won't be able to claim it from medicare but as you say, you only get a short window for these precious pics of your bubs so make the most of it.
I personally wouldn't bother ringning the other place as they'd just fob you off as "the baby didn't cooperate" or such iykwim. but that's just me. other's would probably feel differently. You think they would have said something to you tho before sending you home, usually they'll try and get a couple of good shots for you.
we only had one scan at 20 week wtih pics and they were printed out. So no family have seenthem as the scanner is broken and they don't photograph well. I think everyone was a bit disappointed about that actually.

Hi ladies, may I join you?
I am hoping that my stay in this thread will be a long one, but staistically, and with my history there is a good chance it wont.
My DS was born in 2008 after my second IVF cycle. We started TTC#2 2 years ago, and in that time have had multiple cancelled/failed IVF cycles (poor responder), a m/c at 8+3 folling frozen transfer from our early cycles, and two natural pregnancy m/c - both at 5 weeks, and the last one 13 months ago. Sicne then I have had a better IVF cycle, but still a failure.
last week my DP and I had the counselling sessions required in WA together with my ED 'sally' and were on track to start the 3 month cooling off period, prior to final counseling and starting her treatment.
Today I got a BFP (well three actually).
To say I am gobsmacked is an understatement. I hope and pray that this is my miracle. I guess my odds at my age (43) are about 50% or so of another loss. I know I have my donor as my backup- a fact she has reiterated today, but I would SO LOVE to do this the normal way, the way that most people take for granted.
Anyhoo, off to work an overnight now, but will look forward to reading your stories as time passes (I hope). :)
Oh, and I MUST update my signature too...
-
wow what a journey for you drbee! WELCOME and also wishing this is 'the one' oxox
-
oneday I would get another scan as it is a special moment that you will always look back on.
drbee welcome to the tread, I hope this is the one.
-
drbee- welcome! what a road you've been on, hope this one snuggles for you
oneday- yep get another scan, I would want to also
grub- how you doing? getting so close! no good about your sore hips..but not long now
MH- I hear you on being in denial about getting more tired etc...I also keep trying to continue on, but then fall asleep in front of the tv at night! I have pain shooting down through my low back/bottom also. hope you are feeling ok overall
kaybee- glad the party went well...how areyou doing overall?
JBM- hope you are doing ok and not too sick
trishy- how are you feeling? you haven't had an easy time this pregnancy
FG- there is always something for us to worry about lol! it's normal...hope each week brings you a bit more confidence
DR- glad you are getting more movement now, i love it too
aimee- thinking of you
kelly- hope you and those boys are settling into a routine
hi everyone else
afm- all going well-like some of you have mentioned, I too am getting pain down through my low back into my bottom. finally ordered a sleep pillow and hoping that will help. I am getting more tired, but still doing as much as I can lol, walking dogs, yoga, gym (altho havescaled back a lot there)..... so feeling good really. People keep telling me my bump is small for this far along. I have my next clinic appt tomorrow...it will prob be my last, as we have an appt with a private Ob the next week an hour away, and our plan is to switch. As you know we have thought about this a lot (it means giving birth an hour away etc and always travelling a total of two hours for appointments) but i think it's worth it for a better and more consistent care through the remainder of my high risk pregnancy. Love feeling my little man wriggle and squirm and can't wait for our next scan in a couple of weeks! can't believe I am this far along already! the weeks seem to be going fast...am a bit overwhelmed by all we still have to buy, set up, organise etc. Oh and DH and I are doing a Calmbirth course over the next couple of weekends...hoping it will help prepare us both a bit more! that's it from me :)
-
Possums - glad you're feeling well :) Good luck with the new ob
drbee - congratulations on your bfp! Hope it's a very sticky one for you
Oneday - like the others have said, I'd get it done again - sounds totally reasonable to me :)
Grub - thanks :) Hope you don't get much more prelabour business for a couple of weeks at least! Must be exciting being so close - although a bit uncomfortable!
JBM - sorry you're feeling a bit unwell - but on some level it must be nice to have the reassurance that something is happening!
Mindhugs - mmm sticky date - I'm sure bubs enjoyed it! Hope you're feeling a bit better now
Kaybee - hope everything went well at your appointment
trishy - hope you passed the gd test
farmgirl - hope you're still feeling well :)
Dreamrise - what a mess! Hope you're able to get everything sorted without too much expense. Hope things turn around for you soon
Hi aimee and albi :hello:
afm - almost 10 weeks - can't believe I've made it this far! Still feeling completely fine, although a little worried that I'm feeling too fine!
-
Kass - I have some reassurance knowing you have no symptoms either!! It's driving me insane. When I got my BFP my breasts were tender and swollen. Now they may still be slightly larger (not sure now) but not sore!! Also have shocking head cold so feel tired and was a little nauseas yesterday but that's probably cause I'm sick!!
JBM - sorry your feeling sick!! When did u start your M/s?
Drbee - congratulations!!
AFM - as Ive said I'm worried about lack of symptoms. I'm 6w5d and desperate for that scan!! Very scared it will be empty. Had a tiny amount of orange mucous today with a little pink. Hoping it goes away. No cramping or anything.
-
sorry i havn't had time to do any personals as only have net at work atm :wall:
bummer hey
still feeling sick, i have been for since about 6 weeks and now it is in the morning and evening as well. no throwing up yet just feel like it, which is worse !!!!
i had sickness with 2 of my boys and nothing at all with 3rd boy only reflux after about 5 or 6 months preg. so who knows ??
i will be having a scan at 11 weeks so 3 weeks and 2 days... another thing to count down to.
yipee
will hope to get internet on at home soon as i am going crazy . lol:rolleyes:
good luck to all
will chat soon
-
albi - your lack of symptoms is reassuring for me too! When is your scan? Try not to worry about the mucus, I had a bit a couple of weeks ago, but bt and scan showed everything was fine. I think it was just irritation from the crinone.
JBM - hope your nausea doesn't get any worse!
-
JBM - morning and night sickness, yuck!
Well had a little more brown mucous this morning so decided to call FS and he said for me to come straight in for scan. So had scan and saw a beautiful little bub with a healthy heart beat!! FS couldn't see any reason for brown loss but says no sex for at least 10 days and rest! So VERY relieved. Now get to make appoint with Obstetrition. FS has revised EDC to 15th Jan. Still feeling sick with cold today. Felt queezy at lunch but it was more like when your really hungry and once I'd eaten felt better :)
-
drbeee, we were belly buddies once upon a time! I hope this is a sticky one
-
Hi everyone!!
Just poking my head in to say hello :)

I can't get past the absolutely excruciating pain in my butt and hips when I am sleeping. Comes on about 1am - 3am and just increases in intensity until I am no longer able to sleep. I went to the physio, she worked on it and gave me some lovely stretches - that are doing nothing!!!! Jeezus!!! This baby is obviously tucked right back there on my nerve and it's killing me! I won't make it through the next 12 weeks like this. No way.
Hi girls - everyone is sounding well.
OneDay - great news. Was worth the scan for the peace of mind.
Did everyone see Allysa Camplin on 60 minutes. Gosh that was hard to see. Actually I should have switched off. How did they not know about the Congenital Heart Disease until 32 weeks. In fact in "Woman's Day" they elaborate and say she was admitted to hospital with food poisoning and so the hospital ran a thorough check on bubs to make sure everything was ok in there - and that's when they found it - by accident! Gee I thought they checked all that quite thoroughly at the mid term scan??? I know my radiographer look at the heart thoroughly, but is that not enough? Does anyone have any thoughts or knowledge on this?
Albi - good news. Congrats on your scan.
N2L - hi there. Would loooove to have you join us all in here!
Grub - ;)
Poss - glad to hear you're still somewhat active. And I'm loving the decision of the OB, even though you have to travel. It's only going to give you more peace of mind. I think it's def worth it!
JBM - mmmm MS. I know that feeling particularly well.
Ok girlfriends - have a great night! The 1st of Oprah's farewell shows are on tonight. After all this pain and lack of sleep I will need a few match sticks to keep the old lids up!!!
