Oneday - Congratulations - so glad you got the news you were looking for and that all is going well.
Possums - you must be so relieved - I know I am - to know that everything is ok in your head. Wierd preggy symptoms are ok, brain problems are not. Phew!!!
JBM - Congratulations mate! Lovely little flickering heart - the best best best feeling ever.
Grub - can't believe you're 35 weeks and so so so close to the end. I know I've got 5 weeks of saying that to you yet, but when most of us are still in the teens and 20's it still seems like a faint distant hope to be 35 weeks. Hope it's all smooth sailing on the home stretch!

AFM - my sugar levels have just started to rise. Well, actually I just bought a new glucose meter because the other one was crap, so really, I don't know if they've been high all along or if my body has just started to change. Damn it - please don't put me on insulin again - it's a big old pain in the butt. Anyway, It's DSs birthday tomorrow and party on the weekend - it is the event of a lifetime, get ready to hear about it on the news. So, I'd better go wrap prezzies and start baking. Seeyas xoxo
BDT - my heart sank also hearing your news. So sorry that happened for you. I felt so positive that this was your natural miracle. Looking at those 2 gorgeous girls, you know what you are capable of, and it's not over for you by a long shot. As I said to you before, you have been one of the main inspirations that has kept me going on my fertility journey, particularly through 2 harrowing miscarriages last year. Grub, Poss, Trishy - hey girls
AFM - holding my cousins hand through her first IVF cycle. She has only enough money for one stim cycle and has literally not listened to any of the tips or guidance I gave her, nor did she pay much attention to the info sheets her clinic gave her. It's been very frustrating as she believed she would get loads of blasties and fall straight away. Out of 15 eggs, they put one back and she got none to freeze. If her bub on board doesn't work she's out until she can save enough money in another 12 months time, by which time she'll be 40!!! I so wanted to pass on all the things I've learnt that no one told me so she could get her best chance with this one shot. Particularly since her and her partner have tried naturally for 10 years already with only one early miscarriage in that whole time.....................so girls, I'm feeling frustrated and under-appreciated. The barrage of questions from her as the reality of it is becoming apparent is killing me, since I briefed her so thoroughly. Aaaaaaargh!

BDT - Big hugs to you. I'm so sorry for your loss.
AFM - Been MIA been the worst week ever. My brother-in-law was killed tragically on Sunday, only 26 and my hubby's only sibling. So it's been a really hard time for all of us. Funeral is on Saturday. So I haven't had a lot of time to think about pregnancy. I'm 6wk 1 day today. Not a lot of symptoms still fuller breasts but not as tender and still tired but no sickness at all!! When did other people start to get morning sickness??
Scan is next Friday so really looking forward to that.
Oh and as well as all that they accepted our offer on a house so we have brought a house too!! Arkkk !

yeah i do love those countdowns. lol
i also have a preg sisters weekend plannned at 11 weeks so it is a big week for me. my sis lives at other end of state and i havn't seen her since march. she is about 11 weeks ahead of me, due in mid october, it is so exciting we are preggers together. x x x

you'll find you feel 'periodishy' (i'll have you know that's a real word) occasionally through your pregnancy, particularly at points when you were due. I hope that's all this is. so long as there's no blood, the cramping is probably someone making themselves comfortable!!!

oh possums- just think, you are pretty much guaranteed a bub now! how exciting. I was forever looking at the 'survival rates' from 26 weeks and getting more and more excited about things ... you know how paranoid us LTTCers can be! Yeah I am a bit sooky atm. Had a cry on the lounge the other day and DS came up, looking very confused and concerned, patted my head and gave me a kiss... that stopped the crying
trishy - lol smart kid you have there love! she ain't silly! that's great news about the GD result. Is there a reason why you need to be induced? Is that something you are keen for?
jbm - yeah that's fluid belly. beautifil ain't it! it put me in maternity clothes at 10 weeks but i just look like i had one too many pints with my schnitzel at the pub lol My sister is pregnant too... but she's only 10 weeks so a fair way behind me. but it is exciting that we can share this together. although she's extremely high risk of loss I just can't help but get really excited to think there'll be another bub in the family by christmas, all going well.
kass - uncomfortable. HELL YEAH! I've reached the 'get outta me belly' stage of over-it-ness. My belly has really really dropped as well so i'm hoping it means things might start happening soon
better go. High Royal Highness DS is awake. Only a little boy would wake up saying 'car' and 'daddy'. lol Mummies only count when you are scared, hurt or sick you know
Grub I havent even thought or raised the issue about being induced. But I think the ob is coming from the view that I am still sick and worn out and end up in hospital every now and then on drip or for up to 3 days. Plus I'm still on the zofran that he mentioned it to me to give me some relief.
hi ladies- quick question on car seats...do you need someone to install them, or can you do it yourself?

Just a quick post from me. Went to to the ob today, and although he could see the buba, and it is measuring 6wk and 4days (and we are just over 7wks), he could not get a heartbeat with either an internal or external scan. He did not seem overly worried and suggested it was still a bit early to see a heartbeat, and he still gave us the referals for the 12 wks scan and the downs blood test, but i dont know if that was just part of the process or if he really belives that this little one will stay put.
I walked in there today fully expecting to see a heartbeat (esp after seeing one at 6wks with our DS) and I'm just devestated that we did not. I know that does not mean that this little one is gone, but that is how I'm feeling.
So sorry for no personals but I'm just not in the space. Wishing everyone well though.

Hi everyone. Still here, this little one must want to stick around as I have not yet started bleeding to signal it is all over! Am going to ring and make an appointment to go back to ob for a scan late this week or early next-it is the only thing I have control over!
Possums- wow can't believe that you are this far along! Fingers crossed that the apls does not impact on bubs size!
Am one phone so can't do anymore personals for now but will tomorrow nite.
FG- good luck for that next scan, I really really hope all is OK with your bub and it was just a bit too early this time to see the heartbeat. I can imagine how you would be feeling...I would be the same, but each pregnancy can be different so here's hoping all is ok with this one xx

started our calmbirth course yday and both DH and I got a lot out of it.... seeing the new Ob tomorrow, so hopefully we like him....and GD 2 hour test weds morning.
Ohmygosh, have been so busy lately I haven't had a chance to post, but I have been reading everyones updates. Everytime I sit down I'm either exhausted or my DD's need attending too. But after a fun play in the park, feeding the ducks and groceries they are fast asleep, phew!
Farmgirl - so glad you're still here and thinking of you, I agree with others and am glad you're making an earlier appointment, 12 weeks is far too long to wait! At my 6 week or so scan with this bub the FS couldn't see anything in the sac and I was so upset thinking it was all over. Then FS went on holidays for a few weeks so I got my gp to organise a scan the following week and everything was perfect. I really really hope this is the case for you too, limbo is so cruel!
Kaybee - you're still working and with a little one, wow, I hated the business of report card time, hope all goes well, do you get mat leave soon?
grub - thanks for checking in on me, I think you must be the most stable one in here . Can't believe you're on the home stretch now, but those last few weeks are a killer, glad you're enjoying your nesting/folding, such a nice time! DS sounds like a sweetheart!

Possums - I agree with others we didn't pay either, my dad's in emergency services so he checked it for us but over the years we have taken them in and out of different cars and as long as you follow the safety info in your manual and it doesn't move much it should be good. But if you're really worried it can't hurt to check, doe the ambulance still do it for free if you take it down? Glad your nursery is taking shape! Glad you finally chose an OB and hope they are really good to you, so good to be able to see the same person especially when you have other health things for them to keep an eye on.
Dreamrise - wow it sounds like you have had a rough and busy few weeks! I hope the next few are more relaxing for you but the renovations do sound pretty exciting.
Trishy - hope you're feeling better soon, DD sounds cute! Induction - eek - are you opposed to pain relief? all my friends who've been induced have needed some when and their other births they said weren't half as bad.
JBM - working with ms is horrid, hope you feel better soon, def baby, so glad you have a sis who's pg too, your weekend away sounds like fun!

MH - I've only been skimming so sorry if you've already posted about this but ouch your hips sound painful, I would go see physio if you can, they have these belt things that my sis had and were really helpful. Also my back and hips got a lot worse after labour and when you are constantly sitting feeding bub, so it would be good to get some relief sooner rather than later. Yum!!! you're posts are making me feel so hungry, I might have to do some baking soon!

big HELLO to anyone I've missed, I'm getting confused now who I have and haven't said hi to.
AFM - Last Sunday we were helping out with a sponsor child fundraising event and I made 50 ginger bread men and 2 slowcookers with thai curries (i love thai food that we served for lunch and dinner, as well as going to a fundraising trivia night saturday night, hosting a bbq lunch for my side of the family at my place Sunday afternoon (in which my newly separated brother told us he was leaving to go overseas for 3 months-yikes-but good I think). Amongst everything I decided it would be good to empty out the entire contents of our walk-in-robe to reorganise, clean and de-clutter. I dont think I barely moved to get off the couch the following Monday!!!
This weekend has been much quieter and I think my preggy body coped alot better. But now I'm starting to get into countdown mode, and am quite overwhelmed by the things I need to get done before bub arrives, I figure I have about 8 more weeks before I start to get really exhausted (re-organise entire house, toilet train DD2, finish DD1's quilt, sew new cover for my feeding chair, re-organise bubs room and wash clothes, organise building approval for our townhouse project, keep an eye on our own house getting built, office filing and tax, and a tonne of really minor things). I was also going to make the girls a quilted basket thing to carry their baby dolls around in so they could "help" me without actually poking bub too much lol.
I did get packed my toiletry bag on the weekend. But am now starting to get a little nervous that I've made it this far and hope nothing goes wrong. OB was a little worried about my iron levels and has sent me for my GTT early so he could test a few other things aswell.
Can I ask what other ladies who've had problems with aneamia have had their levels come back as. I think mine was 84? But I'm not sure how bad/not bad that is. Have been taking elevit since pre-conception.
Eeek I feel exhausted already might try to sneak in a nana nap!
