mh - got bad news for you, I am still kept awake with the leg/bum pain. it's like my hip muscles are wayyyyy overstretched and then they cramp and ache ache ache. It used to be okay if i rolled from side to side every so often, although annoying waking so much.
but now (the last 2 nights) it hurts constantly, no matter how i lay. I'm thinking about lseeping in the recliner tonight.
I find i don't get it as bad during my day nap so am surviving on an hour's sleep during the day while DS is cactus!
albi - i always thought brown was usually nothing too much to worry about as it was old blood. but so glad you got another peek and that all is good!!!
oneday! good move... a little girl!!! huge congrats! i think you are just about the only one with a pink one in there atm lol. it's hard without the list to remember, but i think it's mostly blue in here!!!
fingers crossed for you N2L :) although i'm about to leave this thread (i bleeting well hope anyway lol).
jbm - gee you love a count down don't you lady lol. ox
hi drbee, possums, lori, kass, trishy, farmgirl, kaybee and any one i've missed!!!
afm - the hips are killing so i'm tired :) 36 weeks today ;) yipppeee that's only one week til i'm 'full term' and good for launch. bub is sitting extremely low now (not sure if it's engaged or not) and causing heaps of twingy pain in my groin and lots and lots and LOTS of toilet trips. it was annoying before, having to go to the loo so much, but now i'm there every 30 mins at least! and very very thirsty as well which is apparently normal and should help with the canckle issue i'm having. Belly button also MIA as of yesterday (it never completely flattened with ds).
ugh just feel so huge and over it. Am only good for half a day, then need a good rest for a couple of hours before i can manage to do dinner and wash up... and then i'm cactus again!!!
ramble ramble ramble. oxox

Hi Everyone,
Hoping its ok to start in here now that we have BFP found out on Monday after three years of TTC and 12mths of ICIS. Many failed attempts due low ovarian reseverve & very poor sperm quality. This time we had only one lil embie to transfer and got a BFP.
I feel extremely lucky and blessed.
I have my 6/52 scan on the 06/06 but I'm trying not to get to excited until I can see a lil heart beat.
I have only had sore boob's which seem to have settled a little. I have had some crapping.
Thanks :)
-
"crapping" Bex???? Just a little tmi :p ;)
Sorry, couldn't resist lovely!!!
Be nice to Bex everyone! She is very nice (despite her toilet problem ;) )
Take care all x

JBM - I'm starting to feel a little more round too - but I think mine might be more food baby than actual baby  How exciting for you and your sis :)
Welcome and congratulations bex!
Grub and Mindhugs - you both sound so uncomfortable! MH - hope the exercises start having some benefit soon!
Oneday - glad you got your second scan and that it went so well :)
Albi - congrats on your scan also!
Hi to everyone I've missed :)
-
Congrats Bex lol at the crapping
Mh and grub I feel like I have a bottle up my butt and walk like I do. Grub the end is at least in sight for you
Had ob appointment gd test all clear and no antibodies found because of my b- blood group
Ob asked when do I want to have baby. Seems like he wants to induce me. Will wait and see.
Dd asked heaps of q's what ob wad doing
He said checking if bub has eaten enough breaky lunch dinner and enough bath water to swim in
Dd told him he is silly as there is only a baby in mummies tummy no bath as she has seen the pictures
-
grub- i feel for you! but so close now- how are you feeling emotionally about it all? or are you too tired to think about it much ;)
MH- that pain sounds awful...and a lack of sleep can get to you too...although I suppose we should start getting prepared for that!:o I hope your boy moves off that nerve for you and gives you a break
oneday- great about the scan!
trishy- glad your results came though all good and your DD sounds very sweet!
JBM- I was very bloated from early on! hope your sickness doesnt last too many more weeks
bex- congratulations and welcome!!
albi- glad you had a scan and all is good!
kass- there is always something to worry about, it's normal for all of us I think, but if you can, take it a week at a time and enjoy feeling well
n2l- hope you are in here soon
hi everyone else in here!! :)
afm- clinic check up showed all is on track and I am doing well, which is great; I also had a remedial massage last night which has eased my shooting low back pain somewhat...GD test is next week- I have to go straight to the full diagnostic one (fasting, then drink the sweet drink and wait at the clinic for two hours!) due to my Graves Disease, autoimmune issues... and Ob appt is also next week...
then the following week is my 28 week scan (regular scans for me coming up, due to the antiphospholipid syndrome, which can restrict the baby's growth in the last tri sometimes). and nursery is taking shape...makes it feel VERY real. I am excited and nervous about becoming a mum!

Hi everyone,
Still no Internet at home so this will be quick.
Congratulations to our newbies... sending you sticky vibes.
Glad everyone seems to be travelling okay.
I have been flat out working on the unit but it's slowly getting there. Worked solidly on it all this week and probably have another week of work to get it finished. Have even had to dig the grout out between the tiles in the hall way as they were discoloured and smelly from dog urine and poo. So now up to regrouting them and then sealing them. Everytime I think I've seen the worst of it and the end is in sight we find something else. I've been fortunate my Dad came and stayed from Sunday until this afternoon and the two of us worked 10 hours a day on the unit each day he was here.
My back has been so sore but I've just had to perserve as I need to get this finished ASAP so I can get a new tenant in to help pay my morgage. It is looking good though... by the time it is fnished it will be like a brand new unit.

Bub due 28th Aug

lol bex so long as you aim for the loo (AND hit the mark!), we'll let you in the door :)
you'll find you feel 'periodishy' (i'll have you know that's a real word) occasionally through your pregnancy, particularly at points when you were due. I hope that's all this is. so long as there's no blood, the cramping is probably someone making themselves comfortable!!!
anyhoo, congrats! and welcome aboard :)
oh possums- just think, you are pretty much guaranteed a bub now! how exciting. I was forever looking at the 'survival rates' from 26 weeks and getting more and more excited about things ... you know how paranoid us LTTCers can be! Yeah I am a bit sooky atm. Had a cry on the lounge the other day and DS came up, looking very confused and concerned, patted my head and gave me a kiss... that stopped the crying :)
trishy - lol smart kid you have there love! she ain't silly! that's great news about the GD result. Is there a reason why you need to be induced? Is that something you are keen for?
jbm - yeah that's fluid belly. beautifil ain't it! it put me in maternity clothes at 10 weeks but i just look like i had one too many pints with my schnitzel at the pub lol My sister is pregnant too... but she's only 10 weeks so a fair way behind me. but it is exciting that we can share this together. although she's extremely high risk of loss :( I just can't help but get really excited to think there'll be another bub in the family by christmas, all going well.
kass - uncomfortable. HELL YEAH! I've reached the 'get outta me belly' stage of over-it-ness. My belly has really really dropped as well so i'm hoping it means things might start happening soon :)
better go. High Royal Highness DS is awake. Only a little boy would wake up saying 'car' and 'daddy'. lol Mummies only count when you are scared, hurt or sick you know

Grub I havent even thought or raised the issue about being induced. But I think the ob is coming from the view that I am still sick and worn out and end up in hospital every now and then on drip or for up to 3 days. Plus I'm still on the zofran that he mentioned it to me to give me some relief.
-
hi ladies- quick question on car seats...do you need someone to install them, or can you do it yourself?
lori- hope all comes together for you soon
grub- DS sounds sweet when you were crying... wonder when it will be action stations for you? exciting...and yep, great to get to the stage where the baby's chances of survival are much better

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post from me. Went to to the ob today, and although he could see the buba, and it is measuring 6wk and 4days (and we are just over 7wks), he could not get a heartbeat with either an internal or external scan. He did not seem overly worried and suggested it was still a bit early to see a heartbeat, and he still gave us the referals for the 12 wks scan and the downs blood test, but i dont know if that was just part of the process or if he really belives that this little one will stay put.
I walked in there today fully expecting to see a heartbeat (esp after seeing one at 6wks with our DS) and I'm just devestated that we did not. I know that does not mean that this little one is gone, but that is how I'm feeling.
So sorry for no personals but I'm just not in the space. Wishing everyone well though.

oh fg that's just awful! are you having another early scan before the 12 week??? i hope it's like the doc said, just a bit too early yet. fingers crossed for you.
possums - no. get a friend with kids to show your dh how to do it and save yourself dosh. we paid the kidssafe mob $30 or $40 to do it and dh ended up having to redo it firmer. JUst be aware tho that the rear facing seats do move a bit cos of the way they sit etc My DH is now a car seat pro but it takes some muscle to make sure the fit is really firm :)
trishy - that's no good about being so sick love. I'm not sick, sick but at 36 weeks am sooooo over it that if i were sick on top of that as well as having to take medication I'd be putting my big fat swollen hand up for induction in a heartbeat! lol. It's amazing how we go from "sticky, stay in there" to "get out you little squirmer" in just a matter of weeks!
just having a quiet weekend at home. folding my terry nappies into newborn fold and sorting out a few things. Hopefully motivating dh to paint the old chest of drawers for bubs room!
belly rubs to all. oxox

Hey Ladies,
I know that I am so crap at staying in touch in here. I have started writing reports for school so will probably only be in briefly for the next week or two. But not long to go till I'll be finished work for ages!
Ahhh, there was so much to reply to and I doubt I'll remember it all...
Grub - I can't wait to be all uncomfortable and over it like you! I'm still at the point of trying to treasure the moment though. Glad you are managing to get at least a teensy bit of sleep. Nearly there nearly there
Farmgirl - I can't imagine you're going to have a very relaxing few weeks. I wish they would just tell you everything they knew and you could trust them. Would he really have given you a referral for the 12 week scan though if he knew something he didn't want to tell you. They always warn us that in those early days it can be hard to see a heartbeat. So, are you going to turn up in a week or two and demand another look in there?
Possums - You can so do the car seat yourself. Just read the instructions - this strap must go OVER that one and not under. Loop it through there, etc. Lots of the rear facing ones (from my huge experience of 2) need a little metal clip to hold the seatbelt tight and stop them moving around. You can get them from baby shops. Things are going to go so fast for you now with regular scans and everything. Good luck with the GD test next week!
DR - You are one motivated preggy chick at the moment. Hope the unit clean-up is nearly done.
Trishy - induction - nooooooooooooo!!!!! Sorry, did I sound too opinionated just then? If it's for a good reason and it gets bub out safely then go for it, but if not then I would hold off. I don't know - I've only had an induced labour and never a natural one, so I am biased, but that is the only thing I don't like about having GD - if I go on insulin again like last time then they routinely induce at around 39 weeks and that has got me into a panic already (well, not quite a panic, but you know). I know it gets the baby here quicker and you get to meet them sooner, but I don't know, it's not a lot of fun being induced. How gorgeous about the bath in your tummy comment!
Bex - hi and congratulations!
Oneday - good on you for getting another scan. We'd all have a look everyday if we could
And everyone else helloooooooooo
But I have to go. Will be in here heaps more in a few weeks though.

Just a quicky.........
Farmgirl - hi luvvy. I know how you must be feeling. I highly recommend a further scan at around the 8 week mark. There should well and truly be a heartbeat by then. Can't believe your Dr wants you to wait until 12 weeks. That's not fair!!! As Kaybee said, demand it - you have the right, and there is no need to wait 4 or 5 weeks. You need peace of mind sweety. Good luck! We are all thinking of you and are here when you need us. Sending lots of positive, strong vibes to your precious bub x
-
Hi everyone. Still here, this little one must want to stick around as I have not yet started bleeding to signal it is all over! Am going to ring and make an appointment to go back to ob for a scan late this week or early next-it is the only thing I have control over!
Possums- wow can't believe that you are this far along! Fingers crossed that the apls does not impact on bubs size!
Am one phone so can't do anymore personals for now but will tomorrow nite.
Wishing everyone a good nights sleep!

FG- good luck for that next scan, I really really hope all is OK with your bub and it was just a bit too early this time to see the heartbeat. I can imagine how you would be feeling...I would be the same, but each pregnancy can be different so here's hoping all is ok with this one xx
kaybee- loving the countdown until the end of work too! how are you feeling about everything and I hope things have settled for you at home now
grub-how you feeling lovely?
MH- how are those hips doing?
DR- are you just about done all that work now? hope so
Trishy- it really is awful you have so much sickness this pregnancy...can understand your concern about being induced though...but if its best for bub then its the best thing, if not, hold out.
sorry, just a quick one today, so sending a big hello to everyone else
a couple of other quick questions from me...
when are people finishing work ?
are you/have you got a car capsule to start with or a convertible car seat?
and I am still not sure whether to have him sleep in our room to start with or straight in his room...further thoughts?
started our calmbirth course yday and both DH and I got a lot out of it.... seeing the new Ob tomorrow, so hopefully we like him....and GD 2 hour test weds morning.
thanks everyone!
