    Hey lovely ladies
    thanks for all your congrats

Nikki ~ welcome and wishing you all the very best! Hope that MS doesn't get too bad. I have regular acupuncture from a fertility specialist and that is supposed to keep away morning sickness. Ive only had a tiny tiny bit of MS first thing in the morning and not for long at all - I wonder if its the acupuncture?

Farmgirl ~ welcome - wow you are already so far along - I wish time would fly by for me. Wishing you all the very best!

Me+ ~ hope that pain has gone, goodluck.

    Hope everyone is well

AFM ~ plugging along trying to be positive. I'm not sure whether I should try and have another scan before 12 weeks just to ease my mind. My sister said they dont like doing too many as it can be a risk to the baby. Does anyone know if this is correct. I know other on BB have had one every couple of weeks for peace of mind. I'm thinking I should be patient. Any opinions gladly taken.. ta

    for all

Loops - I don't think there's any risk. My clinic gave me two at ~7 and ~8 weeks before sending me on my way as part of their standard procedure. For peace of mind I'd do it, the only draw back will be the cost.

there is no proof either way that there is risk/harm to the bub. BUT I know that bubs are aware of the u/s...atleast with older ones, you up the probe on and they kick it and react to it. No one knows though whether this reaction is good or bad.
Up to you though, if it would ease your mind then might be better than you stressing. like Kass said, cost would be a thing. and I guess having a care provider that is happy to do it. =)

    Hi Loops
I dont think it can hurt bub as long as you're not getting scans like everyday! I've had 3 already and having another on thurs (@11 wks) then will probably have another at 13/14 wks. Might seem like a lot but given my history i'm more high risk for something going wrong. I was pregnant about 2 years ago had a scan at 7 wks all looked good, didn't have any more scans then m/c 2 days before the 13 wks scan, was in hospital as bub had died around 8 weeks and I then developed an infection (missed m/c). So not a nice experience and never would want to go through that again!! I dont mean to scare you, sorry but unfortunately these things can happen. my advice would be to have another scan in say 2 or 3 weeks....just to give you that peace of mind, its worth it honestly! Take care xxx

Hi loops, i was worried about this too, but research i did said that there is no risk, as a scan is only a picture, based on soundwaves. If in doubt, ask your OBS!

oneday - ohhh I was so hoping bub would turn! still some time yet, fingers crossed for you!

JBM - so glad u had a lovely time up here

    hi to everyone else

AFM: had my ob appointment yesterday and I couldn't be happier! he is so supportive of VBAC, he is happy for me to get to 42 weeks before he considers any intervention! he even said he would induce me and if that didn't work then a c section, I was utterly stunned, he said all this, I did not even mention it! also at my hospital they allow waterbirth if a qualified midwife is on and also they have portable ctg monitoring so u don't have to be strapped to the bed! I am getting excited! my bp is up at 150/88 but he took it 2 more times and it came down a bit. and I don't have diabetes either! bubs heartrate was a bit high so I had to have half an hour or monitoring but bub wouldn't keep still anyway. so I go back in two weeks and go from there.

    Hi ladies
Just a quick one....but I'm just busting to tell someone! Saw ob again this morning and all is still going well, bub measuring spot on for dates (i'm 11w3d today) and even saw a bit of movement going on...so exciting...and sooooo relieved! Just feels so surreal, think i'm still protecting myself. Booked for the NT scan next friday, if we can just get over this hurdle it will truly feel like a miracle, after all we have been through I just cant believe we are finally experiencing good news....just hope things continue this way!

Hope everyone is well & happy
    Much love & light

yogi: yipee. i love the first scans when they sort of look a bit more like a baby not a blob. best of luck to you.

Kass: yes bummer for back to work, it's so hard after a week off with DH at the other end of aussie in the warm weather ( we don't get a lot of that in tassie) wow you're 27 weeks now. great. thats gone fast. i hope you're looking preggers ? :-). lol. i am now getting strangers commenting on my bump :-( but everyone says ( my friends that is) that ilook like i have not put on any weight except baby. thats gotta be good. hope all is well with you.

mehimbub: are you in Brissy, we LOVED it there and spending time with step DS and step DD and her husband was great. we think we may have to move up there. so nice. yeah for VBAC and no diabetes, thats good news. bummer for higher BP. mine still low. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. good luck to you. counting down the days now. :0

oneday: o.k so we can handle not knowing dates ( or maybe not) grrrrrrrrrrrrrr ha ha ha lol. yeah i wish i knew a date. my babies always come early though so hope this one follows in older brothers footsteps. still hoping baby moves for you. not long to go now. best of luck to you. x

jj and FG and teirae: hi from me

i know i forgot heaps so sorry. i'll try to be better ( or prob not) next time. lol

AFM: i really hated being back at work wed and today, so many jobs to do.
i think i need to start getting stuff orgaised for baby. where to start though ?

back to reality is hard after one whole child free ( except bump) week with DH in sunny Brissy.
