Can I jump in here?
I'm struggling to find somewhere that I fit.
I'm 4 weeks pregnant with #2 after 22 months TTC, fell pregnant on my 3rd IVF cycle after cycle 2 resulted in a chemical pregnancy.
I'm finding it hard to recognize pregnancy symptoms, vs the progesterone side effects.
I'm so paranoid that I'll have a miscarriage and not know because progesterone will stop me from bleeding.
I'm just really scared :(
Anyone?
I can feel my anxiety peaking and I don't think anyone gets it!
:( :(
Hi Emma! Sorry I don't get on here as often as I used to. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I'm sorry you are feeling so anxious - If it helps at all I didn't feel any pregnancy symptoms with my current pregnancy, whereas I was knocked sideways with MS with my first. I didn't have sore boobs, nothing really, except around 7 weeks pregnant I was soooooo hungry.
I wish I knew what to say to make the anxiety go away... but know that I hear you and I know that feeling.
Big hugs.
Janie xxx
Firstly CONGRATS to you! And this stage of things is really scary because it's been such a mission to get to this point. I wish there was something I could say to give you instant reassurance but unfortunately there isn't. I did think I could poas to reassure myself whenever I needed it but really, there are so many variables like how concentrated your wee is to how dark the line is. I did have a couple of little freak outs before our first scan and my clinic was really good by letting me have a few extra blood tests. But I still worried like mad. As much as I hated when people said it to me, stay positive and hang in there until your scan. Hope that time goes really quickly (yeah right, like that's gonna happen!!!!) and you see that beautiful little flicker. Hugs hun :)

Thanks so much for responding ladies.
I wasn't LTTTC with my first and probably didn't have the knowledge that I do now- I think that made the journey easier?
Now I'm used to over analyzing every little thing- that it's driving me batty!
I'm POAS with a FRER 2 x daily- just to see the lines.
I've only got a 1-2 weeks on a digital- so that's worrying me too.
I know stressing is not going to help- but I can't help it :(
Can you request another blood test so that you can be reassured that your numbers are doubling like they should? Totally understand the anxiety, big hugs to you. How long before your scan?

Over a week to go- Monday the 24th.
I think I'll take your advice and ask for more blood.
Thanks so much for listening, I'm sure my freak outs aren't over!
Vent away, hun. I don't think there is anyone in this thread that doesn't understand what you are going through. Hugs to you :)

Thanks :)
I'm feeling a bit better today- got a 2-3 weeks result on my digi last night!
It's a small thing that is probably insignificant, but that meant a lot to me!
I know I need to stop testing- I have a problem!
My lines are getting lighter and my digi is now back to 1-2 weeks.
This can't be good!
Awwww hun, hoping like mad everything is ok but please remember that those tests all depend on how concentrated your wee is. Def see if you can get another blood test as that will be a much better indicator of how things are going rather than poas. I did it myself and caused myself no end of stress if the lines weren't as dark as I thought they should be.
Good luck and stay positive xxx

Hi girls sorry I haven't been in here for ages
Terri- CONGRATULATIONS on your gorgeous daughter ( she has the same name as my sister!), how many weeks were you when you had her? Hope everything is going well at home with you and you are getting a bit of sleep here and there xx
Emma-sorry I couldn't get in here to support you, I see on your sig that you have had another chemical pregnancy? You poor thing, that must be so shattering and frustrating, big hugs xx
Melissa- how is life with twins? Hope you get a chance ot enjoy them between the nappies and feeding xx
Hi everyone else, I am going well, 25 weeks tomorrow, everything is going well after a rocky start and my obs and me can't believe how 'normal ' my pregnancy is now! I'm starting to get plannned for a baby now- buying stuff and setting up the nursery soon which is exciting.
Hi girls, I haven't been on here for ages, but wanted to announce the arrival of our beautiful girl K.eira K.aur on 10 October at 3.230kgs by CS.
We are totally in love although the last few weeks have been difficult. I ended up back in hospital with my wound getting infected, boy did I feel terrible! Spend another 3 days in there on IV ABs with my wound reopening slightly to get rid of all the gunk, yuck! Anyhow I am feeling on top of the world now. Then bubs had failed the newborn hearing screen whilst in hospital twice. So the day after I got out of hospital the second time we went to get tested by an audiologist at Uni of Melbourne. We were convinced that all would be okay, but unfortunately our gorgeous girl is profoundly deaf in her left ear. Thankfully she has perfect hearing in her right ear. So we have been coming to terms with that also.
Everything happens for a reason and our DD is just a little ray of sunshine, we really are truly blessed to have here in our life's.
Xxx
oh congratulations Janie, what a rollercoaster, sorry you had some ordeals but I hope things are on the up now!
Welcome to little Keira :cheer:
Enjoy your baby xx
Congrats on your baby girl Janie!!
Congratulations Janie xxx
how are you travelling Vic?
I am doing ok. Hiding nicely under Joeve's chair :) Trying to be in denial and just go with the flow. I had my ob appointment yesterday to get all my forms as she is going away for a few weeks and wanted to chat before she left. I have my 7 week scan but I am going to push it out until 7wks +5 as we lost the last one just after the 7 week scan. She also wants me to have bt every week after the scan and I am happy with that. She asked how i was coping and was so lovely. I am blessed to feel so comfortable with her. Boss is here, will be back later :)
Oh thats nice,my ob is a female as well and she was so kind to me at my first appt at 10 weeks,I was hysterically crying in fear but she made me feel alright.
I have EVERYTHING crossed for you this time, and best of luck for your scan xx
Its just a pain that the first trimester is so hard and goes so slowly....sooooo slowly....its torturous.
My friend is almost 41yo next week and she is 9 wks pregnant with her first and has her first ob appt today, she is petrified ( but has had a scan already which was good) so us mature ladies can do it!
Janie congratulations glad everything is ok now. Enjoy your baby hugs
Saffy can't believe your nearing the home stretch so glad everything is going well for you. And yes us older ladies can do it once we get a really good sticky one.
Vic congratulations and good luck I'm sure all will be ok.
AFU am totally in love with my daughter she is now sleeping threw most of the night just waking up for a little top up so I'm getting more sleep. She's starting to find her voice and when she smiles at me it validates everything I went through trying to conceive my little miracle
Terry - Its so lovely that after everything that you went through you now have a beautiful bubba to cuddle. I am so happy for you.
Saff - How nice you have a friend who is pg same time as you. All my friends are all done. My BFF has a 3 year old so its not too bad, but it would sure be nice to have someone close with a baby too. By the time mine is born hers will be at Kindy, so she is in a different stage of motherhood. Still good value though. My sisters youngest is 10, so its been a while for her. Although she has had 3 and seems like a pro :)
AFM - I had another HCG test today at lunch and just waiting for the results. I just need to calm my nerves a little bit and thought another BT would give me that. The scan seems like such a long time away. I am sure the results will be fine.
hi - I have just had my second blood test and confamation i am pregnate with levels over 1000. very nervous as i have had 5 chemical pregnancies and 1 miscarriage. I think i am about 4 weeks and a few days and believe my EDD is the 2nd march 2014. I go for another blood test tuesday to check to make sure the levels keep rising and my progestrone levels are right.
I have to take progestrone everynight and ATM all the levels are well. worried as i dont "feel" pregnate like i did with the others but i sure am getting hungry and tired
GL to everyone
I am in here finally - am I alone!!????
I didnt know about this thread....
Now you do :)
We can be in here together :)
I think the TWW to tell people you are UTD is worse than the TWW itself. I just want to shout it from the mountain top and tell everyone! It's like - I have waited so long for this I want to enjoy it. But at the same time am terrified something will go wrong!
Thee I no rule that you can't. I understand why you want to wait. But if you want to share do it!!
we told a few people but they knew our recent history of mc so it was also about support just in case. We got conference to go official once the 12w scan and bt were done and all was ok.
it will be a lovely thing to share at christmas x
Hi Ladies congratulations to you both
I haven't been in here for so long but I'm so happy for you MyTurn that you finally got your BFP. Enjoy the ride and I look forward to hearing your announcement
Sorry wrong thread.
Hi ladies. Thought I'd jump in here. I got a +HPT yesterday (11dpo), which appears to be darker today. Freaking out a little... This is our 3rd natural conception (in almost 6 years TTC) and the other 2 ended in m/c, so not a good track record. Hoping this will be third time lucky...
How is everyone else doing?
Oh MyTurn!!!!! I am SOOOO thrilled for you!! Its finally 'your turn' :)
This is the one you have been praying and waiting for! I have no doubt this time you are going to get your baby and your happy ending! Congratulations gorgeous lady!
Likewise Juniper! Massive congratulations to you as well! A gorgeous natural Christmas surpise:) I have everything crossed for you! You have both absolutely made my day! I'm so thrilled you both get to share the pregnancy journey together!!!
Massive hugs and celebrations to you both:)
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
37+1 here, hard to believe sometimes.
wonder when bub will decide to make his or her appearance
kbudgie, I noticed your ticker! Seems like only a few weeks ago that you got your BFP! Bub could arrive any time now! How are you feeling?
Thanks, TTL!
Tonight I am crying. A lot.
I feel like I didn't plan for how it "might" feel being pregnant. I think I stupidly just thought it would be exciting. I just feel guilty for sitting on the couch all day, not cooking or eating well, not doing anything helpful. I just feel useless.
I have considered for for a long time what it will be like being a mother, I know I it will be hard, but it feel prepared.... but being pregnant, well that never really entered my mind.
Myturn hugs my darling. Take this time to just be. I too thought I just had to get pregnant and bang when it happened I just expecting it all to be belly rubs and glowing! I didn't expect to feel awful all day every day.
Here's the thing .... When bub is here none of this stuff really matters. You are doing the best you can and beating yourself doesn't help.
Eat what you can when you can, rest and let your body get as much rest as you can
Hugs xx
oh myturn don't feel bad honey. pregnancy is tough, some days worse than others. You can call our message me if you need to xx
I am at the stage where I feel sad, want to do things but so tired and I hate asking for help. Also a bit scared to go too far alone but want to go out, that's also tiring. dh is so busy I feel very neglected and alone. oh and bub turned posterior so a bit stressed about that too.
