Marcellus - glad your scan went well, my bubs kicked & moved a lot too during scans & now that I can feel her it can really give me quite a shock at times because it can be quite strong but I have no idea if it's anymore than someone else who is pg. (at night it is worse & I do suffer a bit of lack of sleep but I must admit feeling her makes me feel reassured that she is ok).
Kimbe - braxton hicks are like false contractions which you can get from 24 weeks onwards & yes for me they have been daunting because I have had so many.
They feel like this huge pressure down in lower tummy (sometimes quite uncomfortable but not really painful as such) & your tummy goes as hard as a rock.
They last about 30 seconds & once over your tum goes back to normal, my tum actually sticks out & goes a weird shape when they happen to me.
I am feeling a little better today because a work mate was really worried for me so she phoned a friend who is a midwife & apparently some pp have up to 50 a day, some pp have none at all.
As long as they don't get more & more painful or regular it is normal.
I can sometimes get 6 in half an hour but then I will only get 1 the next hour so apparently that is not considered regular.
You get this because it's your way of preparing your uterus for birth.

Hi ladies, I just wanted to let you know that I heard from Monnie via text today, and she's at her parents, and can't remember her BB password, that's why she hasn't been on!
Just saw your pics Kimbe - awesome. is that second one 3D? Wish i could have one of those. We're so lucky having so many looks at bubs - mum keeps telling me how she never got to see anything till we were born.
BH sound like fun - not. I guess it would be reassuring to feel Jelly... though certainly looked like it could get a bit painful when s/he's bigger. Hope you're doing ok DJTTC
I think it's ok if Monnie takes a little break from BB...
