So nice to log on this morning and see so many posts. I never thought i could feel so close to strangers online, but BB has changed my outlook.

Sorry about your family Mako - i hope once baby arrives things will change. DH and i live in fear of what his mother will be like - thank goodness she's in NZ. Congrats on the anniversary - DH and i have been together 9 years too - gosh, we were just 21 when we met!

Finding it super hard with my sis here - she has said a few things which make me think she is on to us - but we will tell all when WE want to. I just hope she hasn't discussed it with anyone. DH is at work again this week so it is actually nice having someone around when i'm normally alone for 7 days.

Thanks to everyone for making me feel better from last week. A big hug to you Jo - it seems like i might be having a lucky symptom free pg - at least for now. I hope your next one goes much smoother and kinder on you. I do feel lucky - i'm not taking it for granted. Apart from being a little tired and a little hungry, i'm pretty good.

Clare - i hope you can start buying a few things soon, but i'm sure it's easier said than done.

    Take care all.

    Hi

I'm back from my ob appointment and am happy to say that all is going well. I heard bubs little heart beating away nicely which is always a great sound. I have to have the GD test done next week so I hope that all goes ok. I'm also on 2 weekly visits from now on which is a little scary as it means its all very close now lol. Ob is happy with how everything is coming along.

Clare I hope you are feeling better after the bout of food poisoning last week.
I'm sure you'll start to feel better and be comfortable buying things for bub. Even if you go and laybye a few items and then you can take your time paying them off and slowly bring them home when you are ready.

Kotare You are doing so well keeping this pregnancy a secret. I would be beside myself if I hadn't told anyone by that stage lol. Have you decided when you are going to make the BIG announcement?

Jo Maybe you should speak to your Ob about the leg numbness when you see them again or even give them a call and see what they can suggest. I hope things start to get a bit easier for you soon. When are you finishing work?

Ltl Panda How are you doing today? Any more Bubbles in your tum?

Big belly rubs to you all.

Good to see you back Monnie. Glad you're back home with little Felix now.

Sazz - I was looking at you pg journal and notice you got OHSS too. How long before it all went away? I'm still a bit bloated and, as of last week anyway, my ovaries are still really big. 12 weeks now so placenta should be taking over... right? I know i have a placenta cause i saw it on the scan

Glad to hear all going well Mako, and good luck for your test.

Hope everyone else is well and having a good day.

Mako - so glad your appointment went well.
Yes isn't the time flying, bub will be here before you no it.
I guess it's worse for you (even though I'm only a week behind) because you may go early.

I see my dr in a couple of weeks so I will ask about the numbness then.
I think I mentioned 2 weeks ago that I had cut down to 4 days a week at work but I am actually finishing at the end of September so it isn't long to go now.
I was hoping to start slowing down this last month but someone's going on holidays & I am trying to teach everyone everything before I leave so it looks like it's going to be my busiest month but at least I can have a good rest when I'm finished.

I must admit I am finding work quite tough atm, the belly seems to really be in the way & I'm used to being the same weight all the time so I find the extra weight really takes a bit to get used to.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts on my tough (but I'm sure there is worse) pg, I really hate whinging because of course I am so grateful to finally be pg but I guess I feel I can let it out with you guys because you no what it's like to try so long for a bub.

On a different subject I just had a bit of a laugh at a question in the third trimester section which was 'seriously is anyone shagging in the third trimester'.
It did make me giggle as the last two weeks since I've been having b/hicks I have been wondering how I can actually dtd without them happening & also where is my expanding belly going to fit, lol.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

    Hi all!
Clare, sorry to hear about your food poisoning.. you poor thing it is the worst feeling ever isnt it. I have been worried about that but it is great to know your bubs didnt even notice a thing.
Mako, Happy anniversary!!! Yay about your apt going well. fortnightly visits must feel like things are very close now.
Jo, I think that you would really benefit from some massage. I used to have terrible sciatic trouble like that and found it really jhelped. I can feel it just starting to come on again now so I will be doing that to slow it down a bit. good luck.
Marcellus, My ovaries were 20times larger than they are supposed to be when I had ultrasound at the time of OHSS and at my 13wk scan they were still really large. It still hurt when she was doing the scan because of pressing and pushing around there but the pain had gone apart from that kind of thing. The bloating seemed to take ages but probably was gone but about that stage too. I would say you are at the end of the OHSS ride about now. At least I hope so!! It is no fun you poor thing. Remember to keep your fluids up so you dont get a relapse.

    Hi to everyone!!!

Morning girls, Sazzafrazz, I so remember the time you posted about your OHSS and confirming your pregnancy, it was so exciting.
Marcellus, my ovaries stayed swollen for a long time, I think up to 12 weeks. I was also very bloated, I looked 4 month pregnant at 6 weeks.

DJTTC, hope work starts to slow down for you hun.....there is nothing worse than being flat out at work.

Mako, yes it is getting close for you, it so exciting. I am glad your appointment went well.
Mistickles, food poisoning, that is not fun, hope you are over it now , glad to read that bubs is ok….I always get so worried when I have an upset stomach or have a mild case of the runs.

Well all is ok with me, want bubs to move a little more as my scan is not for another 3 weeks.

    Hi everyone,
Kotare I think you are amazing keeping this a secret, I told everyone, including strangers in the street when I found out.

Mako, Wow time is flying, must be hard to fit appointments in every two weeks, but also nice to catch up so often. Good luck with the GD test.

Marcellus, Hope you stop bloating soon, your belly will probably have grown by the time it does and you won't get a break.

Jo, Good luck with work - it must be hard to keep going when its stressful - I have been set up at home for when i am too big walk and get the train every day (its a 2km walk). It might be a bad thing though, keep me working till i drop.

Ltl Panda, Hope your wait for the next scan goes quickly.

We bought our first thing - a second hand cot on ebay, hopefully it will be the start of a spree and I will be organised soon.

Hope all of you and your little ones are well.

DJTTC Wow the time will fly for you to finish up at work. Its a bummer trying to train others to do your job isn't it? I'm planning on working up to 38 weeks but will see how I go and that all depends on the results of my next scan and whether bub decides to arrive early. We are still trying to find someone to fill in for me at work and that seems to be much harder than any of us thought it would be.

Mstickles Congrats on your 1st purchase for your bub. I'm sure it will become easier for you now to buy thins as you've taken that 1st big step

Ltl Panda I bet you can't wait for the next 3 weeks to go by so you can see your little one again. I'm sure you'll relax a bit more as the movements become more frequent too.

Diva&Dan How are things going with you? I haven't seen you around for a while.I hope you are doing great.

Monnie How are you and Felix doing? I hope everything is settling down for you now.

A big hello to Sazz, Marcellas, Kimbe, Kotare and anyone else I may have missed. I hope you are all doing well.

    Hi gals,
You girls always impress me with your posts, in that you remember who is doing what and have something to say to everyone... I struggle with it and always feel I am leaving someone out or talking about myself too much....
Nothing much to report here. Going away for the weekend, hope you all have a good one.

    Hi all,
Lovely day in Melbourne - bring on summer. Bet I'll hate summer when i'm 8 months and the size of a whale, but I've only gained 1.5kgs so far, and it's so nice to be outside.

We start moving to our new house on Wednesday, so i will be without internet for 5-10 days - aargh!!! The bummer is my 12 week scan is on wednesday at 9am. So i'll be bursting to tell you all how it went, but I can't!!!
I hope i don't miss any news - no early labours Mako!!!

We will be telling family and friends after the scan that we are FINALLY having a baby. It's not that we are worried by the scan results - just that it's been 6 weeks since the last scan and i want to make sure everything is all OK. I'm a worry-wart.

    Hope everyone is going great!

    Jo

    Hi Everyone,
Was hoping I could join you and share stories.I just found out that I am Pregnant! I seriously can hardly believe it...am already totally stressed...am I still feeling nauseous? will my levels go up next BT.....do we ever stop stressing,it's so hard not to eh?
My HCG was 156....have no idea if that's good or not and the nurse told me I am now considered 4 weeks.
Wishing you all happy and very healthy pregnancies.

    Hugs,

    Congratulations Claire, and welcome!

I'm sure your scan will be really great Kotare, and you can finally spill the beans!

Glad to hear you bought some stuff Clare - there'll be no stopping you now.

And thanks for the reassurances on bloating - the doc told me "Basically, you won't be able to fit into your skinny jeans for at least a year or so." Not that I wear skinny jeans, but anyway, at least the pain's gone... Just slightly resentful about having to wear baggy tracky dacks in the first trimester - but at least it's winter, hey.

All the best with finding people to take over from you Mako and DJTTC. It's always a problem, cause, you know what they say, if you want something done properly...

    Any more movements Lt Panda?

Hey Sazz, I know what you mean. I just scroll down the latest messages while i'm writing as a reminder...

Hi's all round! Hope everyone is doing well.

Claire Congrats and welcome. I wish you all the best for the next 8 months.

Kotare All the best for your scan on Wednesday and I'm sure you can't wait to tell the "world". All the best with the move too.

Marcellas Don't feel bad about wearing trackies hun. I have to say that I pretty much live in them atm lol. Atleast I can wear mine to work too. Its a bit harder when the weather gets warmer though.

Sazz Don't feel bad about "personal" posts. Thats what we are here for hun. Who else would we feel free to talk too during our most difficult times? Its good to get everything off our chest and may I add, its very healthy. I also scroll down the page to see where everyone's up to and then do my personals. It makes it much easier.

I've had a busy day today. I had to work this morning and then I had a seminar to attend for work this afternoon. I have to say it was very boring and I was so uncomfortable. It was quite hot in the room and I just swelled up like a balloon. My boss couldn't believe how fast my fingers swelled and then the cankles happened again and they are still up tonight

I hope you are all having a great weekend and big belly rubs to you all

Monnie, how special, would love to see more. Thanks for dropping by.

Mako, I really feel for you, I hate swelling, and you poor darling is a victim of it hard core. Hope things got better over the weekend.

Marcellus, totally agree with you on the fact that you have to wear baggy thing because of the bloating. Totally hated the fact I looked 4 months pregnant at 8 weeks.

Clairebear, welcome. I had a HCG level of 150 at 4 weeks (baby 2 weeks) so that looks good. All the best in the following 8 months.

Kotare, yay 12 week scan 2 more sleeps.

Sazzafrazz, how are you hun, hope you are doing well. Well I know you are, you just went away for the weekend…. Hope you got to relax.

Nothing much for me, just want bubs to move a little more and want the scan to happen now……

Hi girls, hope you all had a good weekend. I sure did! Lovely weekend away in adelaide. Relaxing, beautiful dinner, baby shopping, movie, etc. are you jealous yet? lol!
Mako, I think I will be like you with the swelling, you poor thing as my fingers and feet went up on saturday with the warm weather and lots of walking around the shops. What do you do to aleviate it? Just sit with feet up, cool down?
Monnie, beautiful little face on your little man, Felix. I bet you are besotted with him.
Marcellus, I know what you mean about the bloating and fitting into clothes, poor thing. I looked 7mths at 4 1/2 weeks! I hope you go down a little before you start going back up again.
Kotare, good luck with your scan, not long now. We will all be hanging out for the details when you get back online.
Welcome Claire, we call our friend Clarebear too!
Me: Have ordered a baby hammock, will pick up freebie cot soon, have car seat and bathstuff and ordered pram on the weekend plus we have decided on names... I think we are organised already!!! What will I do for the next 3 or so months??? hehe
    Hi to everyone else!

    Hi all,

You all sound well - with the exception of the swelling. I haven't had the swelling yet and fingers crossed it stays well and truely at bay, at least until final trimester when summer sets in!
My baby bump is now evident to me, all clothes are tighter and am struggling to find pants in the cupboard particularly, that i can wear comfortably all day without having to loosen the fly (iykwim). The old low hipster jeans are finding a way out of the back of my cupboard at present....not that jeans are ok at work, but they're just going to have to lump it till the school holidays when i can go to the maternity stores and get some things for the waredrobe - i figure by then, i'll have a better idea of belly growth rate and size etc.

Sazz - am jealous of your Adelaide weekend, i spent most of mine trying to stay warm from the wind and rain we had up my way! Though we did get out for some shopping, have a rocker now (man those things have changed!!) and nursery manchester, but its still early days for us so the big things we're going to wait for Christmas and post Christmas specials...am assuming there'll be some.

Ltl Panda - i can't believe you can feel bubba, i'm at 15 wks 2morrow and know it's gonna happen soon, i'm just hanging. Sometimes i'll be laying in bed at some ridiculous hour in the morning and think i feel something, but then, decide its just my body digesting dinner or dessert! It sounds wonderful the you can feel your little one moving around. I guess it gives you are sense of peace too that they're going ok.

Kotare, hope the move goes well...don't carry too many things and try to stay stress free despite house moving being a very stressful event!

Clairbear - welcome and congrat's on your news, you're more than welcome to come in a chat chat chat, that's all we do, share our bits (joys and not so joyous things), its a place you feel your not alone.

Hello to all those i've missed...take care.

Oh well, at least I'm not the only one. Most people don't show in the first trimester, and there I was looking 6-7 months along at 4 weeks, and now probably looking about 4-5months....so nearly caught up with myself!

Kotare - this is the perfect excuse to not lift a finger, or at least restrict yourself to 'organising' only. Will be looking forward to hearing all about your scan once you're back online as well.

It must be kinda hard to figure out what to buy/wear when you're 'in between' Kimbe. I've browsed in maternity wear and it all seems really huge - i mean for later on in pg. i guess i will have to find an alternative to trackies now it's getting warmer - hipsters are a good idea. Luckily I don't have to worry about work clothes.

Sazz it sounds like you're really getting organised now - good for you! And glad to hear you had a really good weekend too. I wanna do that...

Poor Mako - that sounds really horrible. Hope you can find some relief.

Hi Monnie - yes, Felix is adorable!

Hope everyone else is doing well
