    ttc number 2

    Hi,
It's been a long time since I've been on but just wondering how anyone has faired ttc number 2 or if they have even dared to go back?

I don't want to go back to all those stressful & often sad times but I really would like another child.

    Hi
We're going back soon... Reflecting on it recently, I realise it's not so much the procedures that have put me off (though that's bad enough really), it's the fear of failure and crushing disappointment.
But the cluckiness is starting to win out over the fear.
Wishing you good luck with No2....

    Hi Jo,

My little man is only 9 weeks old and I have already been thinking about no.2

With my 38th birthday looming next month and only having 1 ovary, I know its not going to be an easy journey. The doctors have said with my history Im lucky I got pregnant at all so I thank every day for my beautiful little boy but I hate the thought of him being an only child. I dont want to go down the IVF trail again, it was very hard and so emotionally draining so I want to see if by some miracle we can fall pregnant naturally.

My OB has said he'd like me to lose 20kgs first so less stress on my body. I want to try sooner rather than later (strike while the iron is hot as such) since my body has just experienced pregnancy and while my insides are reasonably "clean" (I suffer from severe endo)

My DP and my mum say we should be thankful to have one and are not convinced about having a 2nd child. We dont have our own house as yet (just renting) so financially it would be a struggle but LOTS have 2 or more kids and seem to cope.

Anyway, wanted to share my story with you. IVF is hard and I dont want to go down that track again.

    Good luck with your journey.

    Hi Jo

Like Miss M, I also have just recently had our beautiful little girl but already have a plan in place for No 2. Also same as Miss M, apart from sharing a birthday with her I'm also on the wrong side of the ideal IVF age (37 next month) so we have decided that unless something happens naturally in the meantime we are going to start the ball rolling for No 2 in Jan 2011, DD will be 14 months old at that time. We are fortunate though as we still have 8 frosties, but if none of these work I don't really fancy going though the whole IVF process again but I think DH would really like to have another one and if we have to go again I know he is willing.

Hopefully we will get success from what is in the freezer, and I wish you luck in your journey to have another baby. I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way so that your journey is short and successful.
