    3rd time lucky!

    Hello there,

I am 4 weeks into my 3rd pregancy after 2 miscarraiges. The first miscarraige started with some spotting at around 7 weeks after helping hubby cart wood (yeah i know, i know, naughty me!), scan a few days later showed baby with no heart beat and as i never thought to tell the doctors i actually had a 5 week cycle they though i had had a missed miscarraige as the baby was measuring small for dates, so booked me in for a d&c the following day. The morning of the d&c i'm pretty sure i had a complete m/c at 7 weeks 6 days but they did d&c anyways.
The next pregnancy started with spotting after sex lasting about 2 days, it then stopped for about a week then started again and i bled for 2 weeks before i had a complete miscarraige at again 7 weeks 6 days. I had 2 ultrasounds with that pregnancy the first at about 5 weeks, the baby had a fetal pole but the radiographer couldn't pick it up cause it was too small. The next was about 7 weeks 3 days and the gestational sac showed to be small for the size of bub but there was a heartbeat of 155bpm. The docs gave me a 50/50 chance of miscarrying.

I also picked up a flu during the 2nd pregnancy and only had 1 cycle between the 1st and 2nd pregnancy so i think but am not totally sure that maybe my body wasn't ready for the 2nd. It freaks me out that both miscarriages happened a 7 weeks 6 days, like theres something stopping the baby from growing past this point?

Anyways to this pregnancy, i am constantly checking for blood and hubby and i are on edge waiting and hoping that everything is going to be ok, which is causing fights! I have been seeing a naturopath since the 2nd m/c and my last period came at 32 days instead of 35, i'm confused about when i ovulated... It felt like i did on day 14 but then so did the other pregnancies and they were definatly 5 week cycle babies. I got a faint positive on mon and then a darker on wed, which is quite early for my cycle but i got early positives with the previous pregnancies too. So then that makes me think that maybe there is something going on with my hormones?
I don't really get morning sickness, ocassionally i'll feel queasy but i'm not sure if its ms or the vitamins i'm taking! Other than that i'm tired, ditzy as hell, cry at the stupidest things, am a little light headed at times and have low pelvic pressure and occasionally light cramps. If period was due at 32 days it would of been due today and if 35 it will be due tues. I'm just wishing and hoping that it doesn't come.

I am just 1 big bottle of emotions and worry at the moment!
    Thanks for reading

congratulations on your pregnancy!!! I hope that this is a sticky little bean for you.... I had two losses before I got pregnant with my DD (who is now 3), and it was so scary - just waiting to see if it'd happen again, trying to be careful, trying to do things differently... Again I had two losses prior to this pregnancy - and it has been much the same, full of anxiety & fear.... pregnancy after loss really is tough!!!

    Just thought i would update:

I'm around 6 weeks at the moment...yay! Having a dating scan this afternoon, i can't wait to see the little tacker! I have HEAPS more symptoms this pregnancy, including morning sickness which makes me feel more confident.

A friend of mine gave birth to a baby girl this morning, my 1st babies due date was next week so i'm kinda down today I'm sure seeing the new bub on the screen will make me feel better though.

tnw10 - hey girl. it's a bit quiet from you? Is all ok? Three big events for you this past week or so - your scan, the big 6 weeks 7 day mark, and your angel versary. Thinking of you and hoping all is going well.

Thanks Dori Scan went great, everything as it is suppost to be. I had spotting last monday and freaked out! Went and had another scan and luckily it was just a subchronic haemorrage...phew! I'm due either the 9th of 13th of Nov. Which means that either the 7 weeks 6 days was yesterday or its coming up on friday. I realised that it was the angel versary during the week but not on the day itself...maybe to wrapped up in this pregnancy?

Symptoms all still there and going strong which is putting my mind at ease.

Will try to update more often

Awesome news! Glad you got to see your bubs on us. It's ALWAYS awesome. Sorry about your scare, but hopefully that is last.

I got to hear my little chicken's heartbeat today and it was just bliss, no scan for me, there will be one next week. The rate sounded good and I didn't even ask about it. Probably about 155-160 by the sound of it. Just magic huh? Always a good pick me up.

Good luck with the rest of this week..... you'll get there, one way or another.
