Egads! Any tips on how to deal with the fear of miscarriage / inability to get excited about a new pregnancy after 2 mc's? I keep looking at the lines on my FRER and wishing they were so much darker.

Re: the miscarriage fear... As a Christian I always find prayer and just surrendering the situation completely to God in trust helps. But if you're not that way inclined I guess just take each day as it comes and remind yourself that others have been through it and successfully. I hope that doesn't sound like hollow platitudes and actually helps you! Really, it's hard to suggest anything useful when it's so out of your control *hugs* xxx

Thanks Phebee. Yes I am a Christian but I also know the reality is that Christians suffer miscarriage at the same rate as everyone else :(. TTC#2 has been a very interesting journey from that aspect. Anyway, the FRER's are slowly getting darker, still nowhere near as dark as the control line, but dark enough to see it only by the light of my laptop on an unusually chilly summer morning :).

I'll just stay quietly excited for you Maruschke! As far as the paranoia goes? It comes and goes. There is no problem with having regular scans, but of course that's not relevant yet. I reckon that time before scanning is the scariest, but it never quite goes away. That probably doesn't help, but at least you know you're not alone! I hope this one is your sticky, take home bubby after such a long journey! Love and :hug:
Jess, Helle's baby was actually born on 1/12/2011 :) Our babies were the same gestation, length, head circ, gender - everything except Issy was 30g heavier than Abby! Pretty spot on :)
I miss being pregnant girls... I wish I could still be taking belly pics each week and comparing growth with you all. But my little miss is doing well in NICU and amazing the doctors and us everyday.
I seen her have a Brady yesterday and it nearly killed me to see her like that. All the machines going off and stuff :( but she's in the best hands and I need to be there for her.
I'm hopefully being discharged tomorrow. If my bp stays relatively stable (its still fairly high but that's expected after Pre Eclampsia.
I'll be stalking you beautiful ladies and looking forward to seeing all your ba's when your babes are fully cooked :) no earlier please ladies Xxx love u all xxx

LysnDan - isn't funny how as soon as they are here you miss being pregnant? Sorry you had to witness a brady - did Amelia recover quickly? Is she on many meds? Can't believe she's already 1 weeks old. What is your nickname for her ? Milly? AJ? I sometimes call my Amelia - Meils, but mostly just her name.
Well not much going on here. Recovering after the germ virus descended on our house this past week. Thankful for the reprieve of the 24/7 nausea and fatigue. Almost thought I could feel some flutters the other day... pretty early I know. But it got me curious.
Well I am off to have some BT's - antenatal ones plus ones for the NT scan and then make a rare appearance at my mothers group. Hope everyone is going ok. This pregnancy is so very different from all my others, it's amazing what having an awesome distraction can do. I just don't have the same amount of time to spend worrying... well so far. We'll see.
Lys I hope your beautiful little girl is growing strong. FX your bp is stabalised enough to be discharged tomorrow. Stay strong :hug:

Dory I agree the distraction is welcomed. I can't believe you are 10 weeks already! Mustn't be long til the next scan and you can see your precious little bub again :)
AFM I don't have the energy to worry any more today about this pregnancy, it will either make it or it won't! We won't get the BT's back until 3.30 pm Monday and that feels like forever away. I have such little faith in my body. I have to keep reminding myself that I am PUPO as the LTTTC girls say, pregnant until proven otherwise.

Just letting you know that Angelfish has had her bubs, a girl Lily. She was item and is in Nicu. I don't know much else yet. Keep her on your thoughts and send them some strength and love.

Sadly my FRER was noticably lighter this morning, and we all know what that means :( so maybe don't bother.
Dory thank you so much Thank you every one coming on here and seeing everyone post has made me cry. Lilly was born 35 weeks and one day. She stopped breathing twice monday in the am she is at a really good hosptial in the nicu everyday i go in and i get good news but there is still that worry about calling or going there and finding something wrong right now she is jandice and they are hopping she will start eating better i go there everyday. She was born VIA c~section i only stayed one day at that hosptial and have been going to go see her in the other one. Please keep her in your prayers i just want her to be okay. If i could i would take her place right now. Leaving her there is one of the hardest things right now
Angelfish, she is in the right place as hard as it is seeing her and leaving her every time she needs to be there so you can take her home nice and healthy. That's what I keep telling myself about Miss A.
Hang in there and if you need to talk u know where to find me.
It's hard seeing them attached to machines and that. And from the advice I've been given the past week and a bit...ask the nurses in NICU everything. Don't be afraid to have a voice. She's your baby. They know and respect that.

AFM: DD2 is now almost 4mths old. Where did the time go? She is a great cuddly boofy drooly baby with lovely rolls of fat. We are enjoying her very much.
Had a bit of a scare tonight. Went to L&D for a NST and discovered my bp was really high and its ALWAYS super low. They kept me for blood work and urine work. Everything came back normal so now Im on a take it easy note until I see my Dr. Since Ive left the hospital its been going down...so dont want to develop pre e
Hi everyone Little miss lilly is home she came home last night. She is doing okay its weird i was at this spot almost 11 months ago and it all feels like the frist day. She had a great frist night home Little Miss Honor spent the night at her grandparents and right now i am missing her like crazy someone has to watch her right now becosue i cant pick up anything over 11 lbs. I will see her tonight. Honor has been one of my strong streaghts though this she came to see me the night after surgery and every room she passed she smiled and said HI to everyone. I wish everyone the best and will be checking in every once in a while to keep on eye on everyone.Lilly was born at 7lbs 5 0z went down to 6and a half and is now back up to 7.
angelfish so glad your precious girl is home! Enjoy her first Christmas. I hope you are getting lots of newborn cuddles.

Hang in there Maruschke, it's an impossibly hard time, but I took the same attitude as you. I had to let go and realise I can not control what happens, I can only cope with what it throws at me. It helped my get through those first twelve weeks. Hugs* to you.
Sorry I haven't been in for awhile, we have been back and forth to the hospital so much, it's ridiculous! Three scans a week to check on our bubbas heart. Friday we got a fright, and they almost decided to deliver on Monday, but we are trying to get to 36 weeks if we can. Looks like we'll be enjoying a NICU stay like many of you have!

Just a quickie from me to say hi and share my exciting news about my TN scan today - it was AWESOME! At the start bud was asleep but about halfway through woke and did some twists and turns for us SOOOOO CUTE! The wiggley worm made it difficult to get some good pics though - oh well. Also got all my blood test results - all good. And my results from the TN scan were 1 : over 9000 so I'm pretty happy with that! I still cant believe that every time we get to see bud all is going well! My OB said EDD from todays scan is a day earlier, but I'm going to stick with 22/6 I think.
Sorry this is an all about me post - I promise to pop in more and keep up with persies.

AFM:
I lost my engagement and wedding ring on Monday night in a flooded carpark :( I was out for dinner with friends and had taken them off due to swelling and put them on my little finger, which was fine inside. But when we got outside it was absolutely bucketing down... I have never seen such constant HEAVY rain. For at least 20 minutes it went. After about 10 mins one of my friends went to her car, picked us all up and drove us to our cars. I was last and as I got out of her car to dash to mine, they slipped off my finger. The water was at least 2 inches deep and very fast flowing. I'm positive they ended up in a drain somewhere. We spent about 10 mins searching in the absolute drenching rain at about 10:15pm (when it happened) but no luck :( So devastated! I haven't even had a chance to go looking for them yet or contact the insurance, cause I've had a mad crazy busy week finishing off work and seeing my sister and her family before they go back home 2 hours flight away. So that's really annoying. The carpark I lost them in is ALWAYS busy, so the best time to go is first thing in the morning, which is peak hour traffic! Sigh. I might try and go tomorrow morning before church, it's only a bit further away. I put in a report to the police and entered them on the 'Lost and Found' on a local radio station, but no luck. I don't think anyone would've found them anyway. I'm positive they must have gone down a drain somewhere :( We went to a wedding today and it was so beautiful. The bride and groom were both so happy, their faces looked like excited puppies the whole time. So lovely. It was difficult for me during the giving and receiving of rings though :( I've still got marks from them on my finger.
Bub-wise... I've been fine right up until Friday. I finished work on Thursday (yay!) and then spent Friday at my parents' house with my parents, sister, BIL and their 3 children - 5.5, 4 and 2. Lovely to see them after so long (they live 2 hours flight away, right up in the north of WA) but boy was I tired by the end of the day. Then today we had the wedding, then went to lunch with some friends from there (cause we weren't invited to the reception as we don't know the couple THAT well) and then off to another friend's housewarming/30th, which was the other side of the city. I was absolutely exhausted by the time we got to the housewarming/30th and we only stayed about an hour. We came home and I had a nice nap, but I can't nap for very long, it doesn't work. So hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.
How do you tell which way your bub is lying? I've never really bothered until now cause it seems to have changed positions every 5 minutes, lol. But I'd like to be able to find out for myself now. I'm not quite sure where/how deeply to press down to find feet/head etc... Bub has been moving around quite a lot lately - right when the books say its movement will slow down :P But I think it's still got a little more growing to do, even though it's already quite big! I think I'm having a whopper :( I'm still convinced it's going to be a boy.
We have our last antenatal class on Wednesday. There's a couple there that I think I mentioned a few weeks ago with the same names as us, due on the same date and she's also a teacher. Well the other night we found out they only live in the next suburb and in the same position in the suburb as we do in ours! How funny! I hope they don't mix our babies up if we go in at the same time, lol!

Bec, still thinking of you - some of the girls have said it so beautifully. Poppy, your beautiful girl, will always be your little girl, whether she is held in your arms or your heart.
Phee - have a look at the spinning babies website (google spinning babies). They have a "baby mapping" bit. I didn't find Abby slowed at all! She was posterior though, so the little feet and hands at the front of my belly meant lots of movement to be felt :)
Things are good here, guess I should be moving on, but I'll always be stalking in here!
