YAS  what a hard week, I totally understand because I had bleeding too. Its always worrying but if you saw the baby is ok on the scan chances are its not coming from the little one, like mine.
Could you perhaps get a second opinion if you're not getting any answers from the dr's you are seeing?
Keep the faith :goodluck: :stickyvibesgirl:
-
Thanks Mia  I'm trying to keep faith but it's so hard!
I'm bleeding again  I can't see this bub going to term anymore :(
-
Yas- I'm so sorry to hear about the bleeding and horrible, stressful time you're having. I can't believe the doctor didn't explain to you what was going on and give you an idea of what to expect. Don't they know how important it is for your mental health! Maybe if you could find ob that starts seeing patients at 8 weeks, you could get some proper answers soon?
Sara- welcome, I hope the spotting settles down. Rach said it perfectly, "not excited but hopeful". That's still how I feel too!
DG - so thrilled about your scan results, that's fantastic! You must be so relieved. Will you still have regular scans - or see how you feel?
Rach - I hope things stay nice and calm for you :) I hear ya too, when I started telling people it was always - I'm pregnant.... BUT...
Mia and Chepie- great to hear everything's good with you - I hope time flies til your next scans
Porsche - ugh, the torture of analysing morning sickness. My symptoms, though minor, came and went constantly!
Saffy - thinking of you, hoping all is good
Sorry if I missed anyone! Well, the good news is the antibiotics for the UTI seem to be working and I'm not in pain anymore. But things never stay calm for long with me, ha ha! I had to make an unplanned visit to the ob yesterday because my heart kept racing at over 120 and I felt light headed and sick (Mia - I remember that happened to you, did it ever happen again?) I'd had it a few times earlier but it was happening thurs and fri and much worse. Baby is fine luckily, but I have to go for an ECG next week. The ob thinks it will just keep happening while i'm preg but hopefully less often once the infection is out of my body. Geez, I just wasn't made to breed!!! :wall:
-
Gosh girls dramas all round here!
Yas- thats a very stressful situation, its hard to keep the faith under those circumstances, but a good heartbeat and growth is on your side at this stage. Take it easy hun xxx
Mich- good the uti has gone, now more stress, how scary feeling your pulse race like that. |Hope that settles down, at least bub is cruising even though mummy isn't. Maybe its a side effect from the antibiotics?
Porsche- yay for first throw up lol, I'm yet to get to that stage, but carrying my sick bags around with me. I have been too busy to update with work and the constant nausea was makign it hard to do anything! Thanks for asking xx
Mia- glad bleed disappeared, why do you have gdm test early? Do you have family history?
DG- I'm so thrilled for you re scan, its the best news ever xx
Sara- hi I know exactly how you are feeling, its hard to feel happy when you know your hopes can be dashed in a split second. I am struggling the same to be excited about htis pregnancy, its really depressing. I hope things go well at your dating scan.4
Hi Rach and chepie xx
afm- still spotting on and off ( maybe every second or third day) but its brown and no more cramping with it so I am getting more relaxed about it. Was back at work this week which was hard but now on holidays- yay- for 2 wks. Have had fairly constant nausea for the past week, although having a break form it today yesterday. Its just hard when your nausea goes for a while as I get paranoid, but so far it has alway come back.I feel really guilty as I am eating RUBBISH, as I have been really struggling with the nausea and finding things to eat, so mostly its been spaghetti and cheese, 2 min noodles and chips- shocking!! I can't touch a vegetable except tomoatoes and lettuce.
I'm only 8 wks now, feel like there is still such a long way to go, I don't see my obs for another 2 weeks- arrgghh!
-
Hope everyone is coping ok.
Everything is pretty uneventful for me thank goodness.
DP is working away until a couple days before we move house so I'm pottering around filling boxes here and there and cleaning walls etc. F U N!! Not :)
My back has been hurting a lot this week so have only been doing short bursts so don't worry!
Have a nice weekend
-
Mich8 - Sorry to hear re the heart palps, yes I had a bad one a few weeks ago now but thank goodness that hasnt come back. In saying that though my OB said that its quite normal to get that during pregnancy as your heart is working extra hard but its good that your Dr's are looking into it further, if anything, to reassure that all is ok
Saffy - I have to do gdm early I think due to my weight and also previously I was on Metformin (to help me conceive via IVF) so for some reason the specialist at that time told me I should have my gdm test done at 20wks rather then later. I'm not overly obese or anything like that but just slightly overweight but I think my sugar levels in a test I had awhile ago were a little high so they want to make sure I dont get diabetis whilst pregnant or if I have it to be able to look after me and baby. I'm not too worried as my sweet tooth has completely dissapeared with this little one so I havent had chocolate since I conceived but you never know. Sorry long winded answer LOL YAY to the bleed settling down for you and holidays!! WOHOO! :loveshower:
Rach83 - I have had back pain also but I bought one of those S shaped pillows and they actually help, you can get them at any baby shop if you want to give it a try ;)
-
Hi all,
Quiet in here...
Hope you're having a great holiday Saffy and not stressing too much (as if!!!). And happy birthday for whenever it is/ was :)
Rach - take it easy with the house moving - you have the perfect excuse ;)
Mia - how long til your 20 week scan now - or did you say you have an appointment before that?
Yas- thinking of you for Thursday...
I hope everyone is doing well, or at least coping!
I've been feeling kind of sick - indigestion, sweats but think it might be the antibiotics. At least I had a distraction today! DP talked me into going to one of the fetal photo places to find out the sex and it's a girl!! Knew it :)
-
Congrats Mich8  where did you go to find out the gender? I thought I had to wait until my 20wks scan but if I can do it earlier, better :)
As you can tell patience is not my virtue LOL
I have an OB appointment next Tues and then my 20 wks morph scan is on the 29th of June.
Have you got one before then?
-
Aww that's awesome Mich! Little girls are so much fun!
-
Sneaks in to say yay Mich a lovely pink bundle how exciting! Sneaks out again
-
Thanks Mia :)
Your ob should be able to tell next tuesday! But they won't always bother... I went to a place called Fetal Photos. They're in other States too I think. They give you a dvd, some photos and can tell you the sex. The lady said there's never been a case where she hasn't been able to tell! My morph scan is the 25th of June and ob the week after (if I can avoid more weird health issues until then!)
-
Hi Ladies
Mich - Big congratulations on the pink bundle. How very exciting for you :).
-
Ok sneaking back in. I will just sit in the corner and stay. Feeling very scared.
-
Joeve- congratulations hun!!!!! I know how scary it is :( getting pregnant is like a prequel of the battle isn't it? It's the staying pg that's hard! I'm really praying bub is a sticky hun xxx
Mich- congrats!!!
Thanks girls and I hope your are all well. I'm sick, so over it. I always get weird infections etc when I'm pg, it's so much harder with an 8mo baby though! DH took the day off as I was unconscious for most of it.
Praying all our beautiful bubba's are safe and snuggling in tight. Peaceful relaxing vibes to all us mummas xxxxx
-
Thanks everyone :)
Joeve - I'm very excited to see you here, have been hoping you would come on over soon - even if you're scared and shaking in the corner! I'm hoping so hard that this one's a stayer for you
Yas - so sorry to hear you're still having such a rough time with sickness - it's just not fair!
Mia - hope you find out for sure soon. I'm definitely thinking girl for you too :)
Hugs to everyone else!
-
Great news Mich! Congratulations!
Yas - Glad to hear your little one is still holding on. Sorry to hear about the sickness.
Joeve - Congrats!!!!
AFM - Sorry Ive been a bit quiet but at 14w, m/s is still very bad. Didnt hold down any food at all yesterday. Trying to avoid another hospital trip.
-
Big congrats Joeve!!
AFM - Had NT scan yesterday. Everything looks perfect, baby measuring a few days ahead, combined results cames back with risk of 1:12,000ish, so very low (the lady laughed and said it was less risk than a 15 year old). Having more good days but today i feel horrid again! Started telling people so makes it a little more real!
Thinking of you all xx
-
:loveshower: YAY Joeve, sending you :stickyvibesgirl:
Mich8 - I think so too ;), I called the Fetal Fotos place here and I have a booking for next sat so here's hoping (just incase my OB doesnt tell me on sat), which package did you go with (if you dont mind me asking)? I just thought since I'm having my morph one with dvd I'd go for the bronze package but wondering whether I should change that?
DG - I hope the M/S leaves soon!
-
Thanks for the welcome :)
Feeling scared so will probably mainly stalk for a bit. My hcg doubled in 51 hours and my progesterone is 92 so feeling a bit more positive,.
Stickyvibes everyone x
-
Yay Sparkles - what great news. I'm so glad you can finally relax (a bit!)
Joeve - excellent news too. Good work little bubba, keep it up!
DG - still sick! You're poor body. How long until it settles a bit from past experience, a couple of weeks? You'll feel like a new woman!
Mia- yay, glad you booked in. I just did the minimum package. The woman could tell the sex within 5 seconds and I wasn't that interested in getting heaps of pictures. I find the 3D ones slightly creepy, ha ha.
-
Joeve- it's terrifying  your results are awesome though! Mine were doubling every 56 hours and my progesterone was only 53, then dropped down to 32.8 in 4 days :o Needless to say I'm on progesterone pessaries. I have a bleed in there with bub too and I'm bleeding as well. Bub seems oblivious to this though as it measured 8w and hb was 167bpm :)
I really really pray that this is your sticky bubba. xxx
-
Thats absolutely fantastic Yas!!!! Sorry to hear about the bleeding though, but as long as bub doesnt care then its all good.
Joeve - Its a really scary time,. I cried all the time during the first 13w, I thought Id lost my baby so many times over. Your numbers are strong so I think that is a great sign.
Sparkes - Great news!!! You must be feeling relieved now.
Mich - Thankyou. The m/s started settling down at 16w with the boys and finally went away at about 20, so not too long to go, but still feels like forever.
Mia - How lovely to get an extra peek at bubs. I had a private scan with DS2 at around 28w and it was amazing.
AFM - Im starting to feel flutters every now and again. So exciting!
-
hi girls, i am back from my week away ( scary not having Bb to refer to!) and and now I am ...gulp...40...:o....how did that happen??
Joeve- I undestand exactly how you are feeling, i am still the same, theres no way to make it easier I don't think. Its impossible to relax or enjoy being pregnant, even if all the signs are good there is still the overwhelming panic feeling in the background. Please post in here as much as you want, i have found it a great help as all the lovely girls know what you are going through, and how hard those first weeks are. :stickyvibesgirl: what was your BHCG? I missed it I think.
DG- omg really?? I'm so excited for you feeling flutters, thats very cool. Sorry you are still sick, thats awful.
Yas- glad you little one is still going strong, what a fighter- especially making you so sick also- don't know how you manage with other kids you poor thing.xx
mich- woohoo for a girl :cheer: I'm really happy to hear that, how gorgeous!
sparkles- thats a great result from scan- well done you 15 yo!!
mia- oh exciting about your scan, do you think its a boy or girl??
Rach- good luck with moving sounds like a nightmare
afm- well had a good week away, on my birthday my nausea was really bad, then disappeared almost for the next 3 days, so I was panicking, but since getting home it has reoccured with a vengence!! I managed to eat myself silly while i felt good! Best news- my bleeding has stopped :leap:. Have an Ob appt on Thursday, am dreading it as I am still paranoid ++ about something being wrong and keep having dreams that I miscarry, so its been a stressful time still- I wish I could fastforward the next few weeks til the 2nd trimester, but I'd probably find other things to stress about then too lol.
Hope everyone had a nice long weekend x
-
Saffy - welcome back, congrats on the big 4-0!! :happybirthday: Yay for nausea and yay for no more bleeding. I'm hoping Thursday shows that baby is perfect and happy in there. Things are looking good :)
DG- any easing on the ms yet? I'm jealous of the flutters, ha ha :) I sometimes think I feel something, but then it's gas
Yas - I'm so pleased baby is oblivious to the bleeding (and the stress it's putting mum under!!). I hope the bleeding goes away once and for all!
Mia - how did the ob go on Sat? Nice to see bubba again? Would he tell you the sex?
Joeve - you still stalking? :) Still under the chair? I hope you and bub and nice and comfy and calm under there!
Hi everyone else. Not much to report here thankfully! I'm seeing the GP tomorrow to check if the UTI has gone (if I can get there in the storms we've got coming!!) and morph scan in 2 weeks!
-
Saffy welcome back x
Mich yes still stalking
Love reading all the success in here hope you all rub off on me :)
-
Can someone tell me how I can get through my Obs appt tomorrow?
I've been freaking out about it for a week now, how can I have a scan without being a jibbering mess? I honestly don't know how I will get through it.
I hate the feeling of knowing I will either come out of the appt so happy or devastated. I just want to avoid it completely and not go, and live in ignorant bliss for a bit longer.
-
-
Saffy I can barely bring myself to have a BT. It's terrifying. I just wish it was tomorrow and you were skipping out smiley your butt off.
-
me too, I can't do another first trimester, if this doesn't work, thats it for me.
Best of luck Porsche xx
-
Hang in there Saffy I am praying it is awesome news.
Porsche goodluck tomorrow x
I was brave and had another BT today results are in and hcg is doubling every 32 hours so feeling very relieved .... For now.
-
-
Saffy - I'm thinking of you today, feeling on edge for you and hoping for wonderful news later. I don't have any advice, i was the same. Just let yourself be a mess, your ob will surely understand. Mine knew I was highly anxious and would do the scan first and confirm a heartbeat before he did any measurements or the in office stuff - ask for that! As hard as today wil be, you'll feel better knowing
Joeve - so thrilled for your news, yay! Sticking one foot out from under the chair now maybe? :)
I how have a whole new empathy for you ladies who had/ have bad morning sickness. I thought I was going to pass out at work yesterday but just vomited repeatedly in the office instead (my poor workmates!!). Security drove me down to the medical centre (maybe a bit of overkill, ha ha) and they couldn't find anything wrong with me. So weird, couldn't be ms at this stage! I don't know how you ladies did this all first trimester! This is my first non-alcohol related spew of my adult life  I still can't stomach any food but liquids are fine.
-
Saffy - Hugs sweety. My only advice is to be as you are. If you are a mess, thats ok. I had many scans (that turned out to be ok) where I was crying my eyes out because the baby had a h/b, and nobody made me feel embarressed or ashamed for it. Its a very emotional time and the stakes are huge, so you are entitled to have those feelings. I hope its all fine at your scan. Early scans are soooo hard. I'll be thinking of you.
Joeve - Great news!
Porche - I cant see your post, but I hope everything is going well!
Mich - You poor thing. Im sure it will pass quickly. Yep, what you are describing is what Ive had for the past 64 days in a row, including the 'Im going to pass out right now' feeling. Not nice, but I think I might be starting to get better. I only threw up twice yesterday! Thats huge for me!
-
Oh girls thank you so much I love you all!
everythings ok!! :leap:i was crying by the time I sat in the waiting room and lost it when I walked in the dr's room,so she did scan me immediately, and everything was fine! I could barely see anything cos my stomach was bouncing the u/s thing off with all my crying but dh reassured me he saw a good HB and a little baby looking thing!! Soooo freaking relieved. Thanks for all your advice, no one else would understand the blind fear. Anyway my lovely obs is letting me come back next week for a quick scan for reasurance, I love her, shes so nice. Then the week after next, I have the NT scan. thats another story with me being 40 but will cross that bridge when we come to it.
Can't believe I am 10w2d today, the light is at the end of the tunnel for the second trimester!
Porsche-best of luck hun for your scan today xx
-
Oh Saffy - that's wonderful!!!! :confetti:
I'm teary reading your update, so happy for you :) Your ob sounds great. Did you get any pictures of bub so you can look at him/her now the tears have gone? He he :D
-
Oh saffy hun I am so happy for you!!
-
omg joeve if you have ticker I better bite the bullet and get one!
-
I got one because I saw Vic had one LOL
-
haha, I haven't even joined a BB group, what a wimp!
-
Neither have I Saffy, ha ha! Go for it! Think it's a bit too late for me now to join one so you'll all just have to put up with me in here :)
