Alison- gosh what an ordeal, you poor thing, it really is awful to have to go through that
Tilygirl- so sorry you are having this stress, has the spotting stopped?
DG- best wishes for your scan xx
hi everyone and thanks fro the kind words x
Sorry i am still being high maintenence, but i feel like i am flipping out massively. I had an ok weekend, the spotting eventually tapered off and yesterday I basically had nothing. I was also feeling really nauseated and foul taste in my mouth all weekend so was happy to have some good symptoms. Today I woke up to more spotting, less than last week and still brown but also not very nauseous or anything else today. I know symptoms come and go but for frig's sake I just want to get through a day without having major stress. I have been crying this morning, why am I being punished like this, I'm only 6 1/2 weeks, how am I going to get through this?? I feel like i can't take anymore, and its only early days, I'm petrified every time I go to the toilet and I had a terrible dream last night that i was miscarrying.
To top it off my sister announced her pregnancy Sat night, and I am extremely happy for her but I can't talk excitedly about our pregnancies asI have no faith mine is going to make it.
Sorry to be a downer, just soooo stressed every second of the day
-
Hi just a quick one from me because Im feeling really, really sick, but I had my scan today at my obs office and my bubba is still alive and well, measuring 12w exactly! Im so relieved, but as my Dr said Im sill high risk for m/c. But for today all is well. Now onto the NT scan next week.
To all the mummies who are going through the awful, scary first trimester :grouphug:. I am always thinking of you.
-
Saffy my last pregnancy started off in a similar fashion to yours. I was spotting from 5 weeks onwards and then again from 15. Every time I would think it had stopped I would go to the loo and find more tiny bits of brown and that sickening feeling would begin all over again. I was fortunate to have a good FS who believed in making it easier on a stressed mother and the fortnightly scans in his office were such a sense of relief as he would find me the heartbeat. But the stress was very difficult to bear and it lasted most of the pregnancy. YOU WILL GET through it. You probably won't get to enjoy it as much as you deserve to because of the stress but you can bear it. Just make the most of the times you do get to see the heartbeat and know everything is ok - go shopping for baby afterwards and really have a good time because when you wake up the next day, you'll probably find another symptom, or lack of one, to concern you.
-
Saffy- I know how you feel! Every trip to the toilet I dread, not knowing what I will find. I know it's hard to stay positive (and I should take some of my own advice) but many people have spotting throught their pregnancy without it ending in the terrible things we congure up in our minds. Hang in there x
My spotting continues, Sorry TMI, it's brown and I had I tiny clot today that sent me in to a tiny panic at work. I am also having light cramping as well. If only I could be sedated for 8 months, I can't see how else I am going to get through this...
I had my levels taken yesterday and they are still not big numbers but my hcg has gone from 20 to 169, so doubling every 30 hrs. My prog is great at 189. I have another BT next Monday then a scan at 6w5d on the following Monday. I am worried with the low levels and spotting that this could be an ectopic but I will just have to wait until the scan to find out either way. That's one cause of things going wrong that I haven't had yet!
-
Hi Tilygirl - I hope everything is ok, I'm sure it is. My numbers were taking up to 72 hours to double and they were happy with that, some people just take off a little slower than others. Your progesterone is awesome, the highest mine ever got was 87 but I have a major deficiency and that was with supplements. It's probably just normal spotting, I'd say try not to worry but I spent every second of every day worrying ,have done for the last 12 months. I actually can't wait to take a break so I can feel normal and stress free for a while. I've been pregnant for most of this year, yet still nothing to show other than weight gain and heartache! I thought your numbers with an ectopic were unusually high but I could be wrong. Hey I'm with you, you start to think what can I have next, I had a subchorionic bleed with this one too, wonder what next time will bring me grr.
AFM - all booked in for my D&C tomorrow, I want it over with and I can't wait to stop feeling like ****e, I want a decent night's sleep and to not feel nauseous and terribly bloated for once! You can barely put up with it when it's going somewhere but having to suffer when it's not is just downright cruel.
DG - great news on your scan, sounds like a good sticky one, yay.
-
:hello: ladies
Just wanted to tgouch base with you all, sending you all sticky vibes
AFM: had a bit of a scare yesterday, had some maroon/brown blood at work went to the OB, he did an u/sound and baby was fine and he just said "if Im not worried you shouldnt worry" :dunno: no explanation.
Then at 1am went to the toilet and found red blood in my urine GREAT, rang around to try to find my OB (he's at a hospital other days he's at an office).
I rang the hospital in desperation and the nurse said its good that I had no pain and it wasnt too much blood but to speak to the OB when possible.
Finally got on to the secretary of my OB who said she spoke to the OB and he said to take it easy and if I was still concerned to go see him at the hospital tomorrow morning!
Serously, I was thinking how can everyone be SO blazey?!
I spoke to DH and thought I'd get another opinion and went to the GP, he said that it sounds like a little blood vessel in my bladder could have burst as the blood didnt sound like it was coming from the baby.
He settled my nerves and said that since I'm in the second trimester all is good with the baby and its unlikely to be m/c or problem like that but that obviously if it continues tomorrow to go see the OB. He was a LOT more helpful and said I should try to enjoy this time as I'm out of the "danger" part. He also explained they wouldnt be able to see where the blood was coming from if it was the vessel its too small to see through u/sound.
At the end of the day, he explained to me calmly and logically everything and understood I'm a first time mum so ofcourse i'd be worried.
Just wondering if any of you ladies have had this happen to you?
Its only a little BL now when I wipe....sorry if tmi
-
Alison - have been thinking of you today and hope you are doing as well as can be expected hunni xoxo
Mia- That would have been scary!! I have had blood in my urine before (not pregnant) and it has turned out ok.. Just keep an eye on it that it doesn't turn into a UTI..not to freak you out...
Tilygirl - hope the spotting has eased off for you sweetie.... Hun in regards to ectopic if you get serve pain in groin area or in your shoulder area go to hospital ... not meaning to frighten you just I have had one and its a pain I will never ever forget xxxx
DG - Awesome news on your scan babes
Everyone is having a tough time so sending lots of these :grouphug:
-
Alison - I doubt you'll check this thread anymore (understable!) but I hope all went as smoothly as possible today. I'm furious at the universe for you for the injustice of what you've been through. I hope you find a way to move forward and try again if that is what you feel is right
Mia - eek! You must have been a nervous wreck! Just like I was when I saw blood at 10 weeks. I'm so glad that baby looked great on the ultrasound and although it's frustrating, it's probably good that the ob couldn't see where it was coming from. I really hope it all clears up and you can start enjoying your pregnancy again! Do you plan on any more check ups before the 20 week scan?
tilygirl - I wish the evil spotting fairies would just leave the poor ladies of this thread alone!!! Your hcg rise sounds really good and your progesterone is fantastic! You must be really nervous for your scan, the wait must feel like forever :(
DG- so sorry you're still sick but congratulations on reaching the 12 week milestone and things looking great, so so happy for you :) Are you excited for the NT scan now?
Saffy - how are you doing now? I think of you often. Don't apologise for being stressed, it's natural. I don't think the stress will ever go. I still check for blood every toilet trip and have days I'm sure it's all over. But after each good scan and each milestone, the stress will reduce just a little. India's mum explained it beautifully.
Hi Yas, chepie, Maruschke - I hope things are calm!
AFM - well, the prospect of having 7 weeks with no scans was too much for me to bear so I bought a doppler. I really debated about whether it would make me more stressed. Verdict is currently undecided!!! The first 3 days I used it, I got the hb really easily, always in the same spot... BUT then I started stressing a bit about why the baby never moved and was always in the same spot:rolleyes: So this morning I couldn't find the hb at all (probably because the baby was moving) so felt slightly stressed about that, then found it easily tonight and felt better. It's really magical and comforting hearing it but I think I'm going to limit myself to using it only every few days! Has anyone else used one?
-
Alison - I hope all went ok yesterday and that you are finally getting some relief from the pg symptoms. Im thinking of you.
Mia - I would have freaked out if I saw blood. But if the Drs all think its ok then it probably is. I hope it doesnt turn into a UTI for you. Im so glad you have made it to 15w already!
Tilly & Saffy -Hugs, I hope everything is going ok with you both. Im hoping and praying for sticky bubbas for you both.
Yas - I hope all is progressing well!
Mich - Firstly, Im sooooo happy to see you are almost 15w! Woohoo!! I hope you are feeling more confident now about this pg. Ive never used a doppler. I think they are great for giving reassurance, but terrible if for some reason you cant find the h/b. Ive been wondering if I should get one, but my Obs told me just to come in to his office for a quick scan any time I feel worried, so I'll see how I go without for a while. As for the NT scan, yep Im nervous. Im not looking forward to it at all. I hate the lead up to the scan and that moment when they place the wand on your belly and you can bearly look at the screen. Of course it all changes once you see the magical h/b, but if you dont....
Chepie - 16w already!!! Yay!! I hope you are enjoying your pg now! Thanks for your lovely support.
AFM - Im 12w4d today and the most pg Ive been since having DS2! Yay!!. Still very sick of course but hoping it goes away soon.
-
DG- thats fantastic news, really pleased for you xx
Mia- scary, your naughty body shouldn't be giving you stress now you are past 12wks!! Hope all is ok, sounds like a UTI, they can be symptomless in pregnancy.
Mich-I use them all the time, but i am a midwife lol! I probably wouldn't recommend their use but I know people do.
Tilygirl- hugs to you, bl00dy spotting!!! i hate it! Hope things have settled??
hi chepie and special hugsto Alison x
afm- well after my meltdown on Monday I had cramps all day and spotting settled by yesterday and had good symptoms again. then just as I feel a bit confident, low and behold I had red spotting and cramping last night, whcih has now gone to brown again. Just rang the clinic and having a scan tomorrow with FS, but seriously, I'm pretty much resigned to miscarying now. SIGH. We are supposedto be going to Hamilton Island next Saturday which will probably have to cancel either way. I seriously always miscarry just before we are going on holiday, I am freaking sick of it. :wall:
-
Just a quick me post, I will come back later to read back and respond.
I am worried about an ectopic, I have had a dull constant ache all day like period pain but on my left side and my spotting is still there, pinky/brown, but hard to tell with the progesterone... I am 5w1d.
My mum had an ectopic rupture at 6w, she has a high pain threshold and just thought she was constipated until she started haemorrhaging.
Anyway, I have spoken with the receptionist at my FS and I am waiting for the FS to get back to me. I can't just wait until Monday for my next bloods then the Monday after that for the scan...
I will keep you posted.
-
I am glad I called them, it's funny being a nurse, I feel like I am over reacting, reading to much into my symptoms or bothering them, I don't know. Anyway, my FS was worried and I have to go in for a scan first thing tomorrow morning at 8am. She also wants me to fast incase I need theatre. My FS is in theatre all day tomorrow and will fit me in if it is ectopic. So glad I don't have to wait to know more on Monday.
-
Glad they are investigating, hope its not ectopic though hun xxx
-
tilygirl - I'm so sorry you have this added stress. You were right to call, although it's too early to find out much about baby, they should be able to see a sac! I'm hoping so hard for a good result for you
DG- most pregnant since you DS, that's fantastic :) Yeah, I'm not sure I'd recommend the doppler for nervous Nellies like us!! Since I've had success so far with it, I'm feeling more relaxed that baby is ok but I know this feeling could easily change if I have a few days I can't find the hb!
Saffy - you are having a hell of a time :( I understand why you believe it's a m/c and that you probably need to to protect your heart. But I really hope you get a wonderful surprise tomorrow and can still go on your birthday holiday
tilygirl and Saffy - will be stalking and hoping and stalking tomorrow.
-
Well, I'm bleeding  I'll go for a scan tomorrow, but I know it's over. I just don't want another infection. I have really bad back pain too- exactly like period pain. Oh, and to top tonight off I had a massive fight with DH and I feel like our marriage is falling apart. Who the hell did I crap on in another life??
-
Yas - Oh no. I hope you are wrong and its not all over. Thinking of you as you go in for your scan. I know how scary it is :comfort:
Tilly - Im so sorry you are going through this. I hope your scan went well and its not ectopic.
Saffy - What a tough time youve had. I hope your scan goes well today.
-
Yas, tilygirl and Saffy - this isn't fair, all I can do is send huge hugs :grouphug:
What a day! I'll be thinking of you three and hoping really hard :crossfingers:
-
:hello: Ladies
Firsly sending all my love and thoughts to you all Yas, Tillygirl and Saffy thinking of you all :grouphug: GL I hope all the scans go well and the bleeding/cramps and just yuckiness goes away
Mich8 - I totally understand re the doppler, I would be the same. I havent got one (YET) but am tempted LOL re more testing I prob wont have another scan until I see the OB on the 12th of June again as he always does one on his little machine at each of our visits.
Do you have to wait until 20weeks for morpholigical scan? I will have to ask the OB re that and when we can find out the sex of the baby :) He already told me yesterday that baby looks like a girl so I think I'm almost 100% now sure its a little girl. Do you know what you're having or are you having a suprise ending?
Diamond - YAY to you and being this far along :loveshower:
Hello to all you other lovely supportive ladies sending sticky vibes to you all
AFM - update, today finally the bleeding has stopped, I had a u/sound yesterday with my ob, baby is all good living it up in there LOL meanwhile he told me I just have to "put up" with it but if it continued to go see him again.
They think it could of been a little vessel in my bladder which burst but they cant confirm it as they cant see such tiny things on an u/sound. All they can tell me is that its not the baby so as they have told me "just enjoy your pregnancy" :dunno:
I'M TRYING TOO! :duh: a little hard when you get a bleed and your a first time mum! Anyways aslong as baby is well thats all that matters.
At home chillaxing today cant get too used to it back at work on monday boooo :( LOL
I hope you all have a great weekend and again :stickyvibesgirl: to you all
-
I had my scan today. All is good and I saw a heartbeat. Dr has changed my DD to jan 4 :)
-
Thats great news Rach83
-
That's wonderful Rach! Your good news is very welcome :)
Hoping for some more good news on here today but we'll be here to listen either way...
Mia- so glad the bleeding has stopped for you, phew! Exciting about a possible little girl. I have girl feelings too! Yeah, I have no ob appointments or scans booked until the "20 week" one which I'm having at 19 and a bit weeks. I definitely want to find out the sex when we can. DP is desperate to find out the sex ASAP so wants to go to some non-medical scan place his mate went to in the meantime to try to find out. I don't know if I'd trust their verdict but am tempted to go just to see baby again. I dunno! I've also just weaned off the progesterone over the last week (from 5 a day to nothing!). I know things should be looking after themselves by now but am still nervous about it and wish I had another scan soon!
-
hi girls, thanks for the thoughts,
mich- 5 a day? How did you fit that in? ( not literally  I meantime-wise) You will be fine without the prog, enjoy the clean knickers!
mia-I completely understand your nervousness, try and put it behind you but I know its impossible. I hope things settle, it sounds like your baby is living it up in there!
yas- sorry hun, I hope the scan brings good news, you must be petrified xxx
rach- hooray, good scan result, are you happy about 4th Jan compared to 29th Dec??
tilygirl- crossing my fingers for you xxx
afm- well after convincing myself it was all over ( I have had no symptoms for 1 1/2 days now), my baby is still alive! Had a scan this morning, good heartbeat but he wasnt using a very good machine so it was hard to see growth, he thinks it was 7 wks, which is the same as my dates, but 3 days less than last scan, so I don't know if this is a problem, but i'm sure I will stress over it. So, I have been d/c from IVF dr to Obstetrician (who I haven't even booked in with yet too scared), that is a big step for me. my nerves are shot after this last week!
-
Wohooo Saffy - you must be over the moon but still nervous I'm sure. Any explanation for the spotting? My mild symptoms came and went for the first 11 weeks too so try not to panic too much about that :)
I was so nervous when I saw you'd posted and the computer kept freezing - ugh!! Oh and thanks, yes I've finally stopped having to wear huge pads for the progesterone overload :)
-
LOL Mich8 imagine we both have girls with how close our EDD's are?! How cute re your DH, mine is the same impatient to know aswell but I have to admit I'm excited to know 100% also ;) I havent booked in for my u/sound yet but I'm sure my OB will let me know when I see him. I would like to go to this u/sound place near his office (he always sends me to the hospital he works at) because they do 4d and dvds for you to take home which would be unreal. Hopefully he's ok with it if not I'll go on my own, only difference is if he gives me a referral I can claim the $$ back (some of them) but if not I have to pay it out right. Ahh well either way :goodluck: with your scan keep us updated!
Saffy - thats fabulous news hun, I know its always daunting. I made that leap myself a few weeks ago and gladly all has gone well. Your little one is fighting and showing you he/she is there ;) BIG :stickyvibesboy: to you!
-
He he Mia - maybe the babies would have some sort of connection! I'd really be thrilled with either, it's just the knowing that's exciting. Though I will genuinely want the person doing the 20 week scan to check for heartbeat, growth, organs etc first, the sex can come second! Maybe if your ob won't give you the referral, you can have the morphology stuff done at the hospital, then go to a place that just does the pictures/ dvd thing seperately. The place DP wants to go is $75 to have a look, pictures and a dvd - or something like that!
-
Hi Ladies.
Just been catching up and my heart aches for all you ladies going through such a stressful time - you deserve better than that.
Fingers crossed and sticky vibes to you all
Saff ~ glad to hear the scan went well - feeling for you hun, with everything. Hope you and bubs can hang in there. will be thinking of you. all the best.
-
Saffy, thats great news!
Yas - Are you ok sweety? Im a bit worried about you.
-
Oops, I accidently hit post, so heres the rest:
Mich & Mia - I love the Morph scan because by then you can usually feel kicks so you know your baby is alive. I find it much less stressful than any first trimester scans. Its so amazing to see how big the baby is compared to the NT scan, and so wonderful when they tell you the sex of the baby (if you want to find out).
AFM - Im 13w now and my NT scan is on Thursday. My vomiting got out of hand on Friday so I had to go to hospital and be on a drip for two days. M/s is still here now, but Im hoping it starts to improve soon. Now for my vent, I asked them to do an u/s while I was in hospital because Im still worried about viability. They kept telling me just to wait until Thursday because I have my NT scan. I told them that I literally feel like Im dying and if the baby is gone I want to know now. Then they said I wouldnt be so sick if my baby had died. Well, that is NOT TRUE! Last time at 12w I was vomiting 6-8 times per day, even after the u/s showed that my baby's heart had stopped! They wade me wait 3 days to have the D&C because I wasnt bleeding or cramping so it wasnt an emergency. Vent over. I guess I'll just have to wait until Thursday, a least I feel more human now that Ive had some nutrition.
-
Oh DG - what a terrible experience. I just can't imagine morning sickness that bad! How frustrating that they wouldn't listen to your concerns and just give you a scan! Did they listen for a heartbeat? It's not like you have no reason to be concerned! Anyway, I'm glad you're physically feeling better. Can you eat anything now? Thursday is so close yet so far, will be thinking of you :)
-
DG - How awful for you. That surely is no way to make you feel better. Have they got an early pregnancy clinic? My public one does and I'm just tossing up weather to give them a call or not. I hope your feeling better now and I know Thursday is still so far away but I hope it comes really quickly for you. Good Luck.
-
Very quiet in here girls! I hope no news is good news?
How are you feeling now DG? I'll be thinking of you tomorrow for your scan!
How's everyone else doing? Any updates?
I've been having lots of strange pain the past few days - low central aching pressure in the day and stronger pain at night that wakes me up! No spotting though, phew. I'm really glad I've had the doppler handy to check on things! A lovely friend from BB suggested I get checked for a UTI and from the initial pee screen, it appears I have one. So on antibiotics now and I hope that was what was causing the pain. It was worse with a full bladder so I'm really hoping!
-
Hi All,
Thought I would pop my head in and say Hi!
We found out (very suprisingly) last week that we're expecting again.
Feeling very blaze and detached at the moment.
Been having some cramping and some very light old brown blood on wiping so I'm kinda expecting either a chemical pregnancy or a sac and no babe when I go for the dating scan next week.
I feel sad with myself for feeling this way as I am usually over the moon when I find out I'm pregnant.
I guess the fact of the matter is that I am absolutely terrified of losing another babe.
I guess its a normal way to feel conidering.
My attendance in here will probably be sporadic so I'll apologise now for that!
Hope you're all well!
xx
-
Congrats Sara...... It is only natural to feel detached and I think many of us did! To be honest I look pregnant and feel the aches and pains already but apart from that I don't feel pregnant.... which is sad because this is my last time .... I know I should be more excited but I am scared, I dream that this baby doesn't survive and all these other horrible things..... Gee I sound lovely hey! Guess what I am trying to say is that I understand how you feel xoxox We are all here for you xx
Mich - hope those antibiotics kick in soon and you are feeling better xx
DG- good luck for tomorrow!! Hope you are too feeling better
Hi to everyone!! BBL dinner is ready and the kids are hungry!!
Love to you all xx
-
Hi Ladies
DG - Good luck for your scan today.
Sarah - Welcome. I feel detatched as well. I'm not excited or happy just very neutral about it all. Still worried like heck because I have lost all my MS. SO for me that is a big alarm bell but I'm stalling cause I don't want bad news again. I need to ring FS but to worried. Totaly normal to be feeling like you are.
Mich - ah a UTI. What a pain for you. They always come at the worst time. My last 2 came right before I was due for EPU. Just typical. Maybe it had soemthing to do with all the drugs I was on?? Who knows. Hopefully the AB kick in and you get some relief :).
Chepie - Hope all is going well with you. You must be coming up for your 19-20 week scan soon?
-
Welcome Sara.
I feel... Unemotional? Glad I am pregnant but don't feel elated.
I think that will change when I feel baby moving.
This pregnancy is so diff to my first. First I vomited first thing every morning without fail. This time I don't vom every day. I gag a bit. I feel like I need to all day. I have sore sore Boobs and a sore back but that's it.
It's positive that I've seen a heartbeat and I'm not cramping or bleeding but I still feel a bit blaze about it. Only natural I guess after recurrent losses. I've told a few close people but I feel like I'm not telling them the way people usually tell people cos they always ask me if I'm excited cos I don't squeal when I tell them. No. I'm not excited. I'm hopeful.
-
Hi all, a quick one from me:
NT scan went well. We have a beautiful baby on board that looks just perfect in every single way. I cannot comprehend how happy I am right now. Yippee!!
-

-
:loveshower: YAY DG!!! Great news :)
Hope you feel better Mich
Rach83 - I STILL cant believe its actually happening to me either, I think we'll get there :goodluck: ;)
AFM - not much to tell just waiting for a few weeks to see the OB again for my usual monthly appointment and talk to him re the gestational diabetis test (I have to get it done early) and also the 20wk scan YAY! Bleed dissappeared so all good :crossfingers:
-
Hi Ladies
DG - That is terrific news. Big congratulations.
Chepie - I can't wait to hear all about your scan :). I'm doing better. I had my first throw up this morning. So feeling relieved to say the least.
Rach - I normally start throwing up around 6 1/2 weeks but I'm now 8 weeks 2 days and I've had my first toilet bowl today. I haven't had the neausea I usual have either. I've had some gagging but that was earlier on.
Saffy - Haven't heard from you in a while. Hoping all is well and your just too sick to come and up date us all. FX
-
DG- Wonderful news!!!! So happy for you hun! Your past the first Tri! So happy for you :)
Chepie- Omg sweetheart your nearly halfway! I am so happy for you :) Are you starting to relax or still on edge? Are you finding out bubs sex at the scan? xxxx
Mia- I am so happy for you! 16 weeks is awesome! Are you relaxing a bit?
Porsche- Hey hun  Yuck for the M/s but it is reassuring so yay?! Lol, don't hit me :) Hope your coping ok xx
Saffy i hope your ok hun xxx
Hi to all the other girls, im sorry for no more perssies but im running out of time!
AFM- I have been hiding online and irl this week. Iv'e had bleeding twice and terrible pain nearly everyday and my m/s disappeared. However i had a scan last friday and the baby measured 6w exactly, hb 125.
Yesterday i had a follow-up scan and the baby was still alive (i was shocked) but she didn't tell me that straight away, just kept taking heaps of pictures and went to get the doctor. I knew something was wrong but they said baby is measuring 6w6d with a hb130. Then sent me home.
Not 30mins after i got home i started bleeding.....i had an external scan so i knew it wasn't trauma. I called them to see if they seen anything on the scan that could explain this and they had. There was a bleed in there.....but they DID NOT tell me. I was so so angry!
Anyway, that was my week. Just praying bub will make it.
lots of love xxxx
