Hi everyone!
Well I am now around 2 months post D&C for a missed M/C at 12.5 weeks with my lil pink jellybean. It was confirmed she had a chromosomal abnormality but not genetic.
Today I just got my BFP confirmed on a digital test and getting my bloods done tomorrow to confirm it all.
I am excited but worried and don't want to get my hopes up. I know I have had a late loss at 20 weeks so I know that even if you get past the 12 week mark things can happen.
I'll have to have a read through all of the posts and get to know you all. Hopefully it will also help me to understand everything a bit more.
Congrats on your pregnancy Deedles!! I am so sorry for your losses
I have just come in here due to the anxiety of being pg again and have found everyone to be lovely and so reassuring.
Good luck with your test tomorrow :)

Hi all,
Sorry I haven't been around much!
Deedles - congrats on your BFP! Your fears are completely understandable, i'm so sorry for your losses but am glad you have this brand new opportunity :) You will probably have a lot of ups and downs in this pregnancy but there's lots of lovely ladies here who (unfortunately) completely understand!
Rach - yay for nearly 16 weeks! Sorry it's a hard week for you :( I hope you get movements soon, they've made a big difference for me!
Aries - hi, welcome - sorry you need to be here but the gang here are the best - as you've already discovered! Good luck for your scan tomorrow. I always found I felt better and more confident for a little while after each one!
Joeve - your own pregnancy drags while everyone else's flies hey? The weird thing is, yours is dragging for me too!! How does that happen, maybe it will go quicker after your 12 week scan?
Saffy - huge hugs  I really hope you get some answers as to what that "area" is next week, you don't need that worry. Physically and mentally, stopping work sounds like a good decision, even if it sucks financially!
AFM - It's been a bad couple of weeks with a lot of episodes of heart palpitations. I have really low blood pressure now so the episodes are just affecting me so much more, feeling like I've just run a marathon all the time and came pretty close to passing out while driving the other day eek! I just hope it's not affecting baby at all. If it's only me affected, I won't worry at all!!
Congrats deedles!
Thanks mich. I've been poking and prodding alot lately and then when I feel something I then need to fart so guess its still wind lol! Shouldn't be far off now surely!
I have an OB appt on Tuesday
I usually start feeling anxious after about 3 weeks post appt so luckily my next appt is due by then and the scan makes me feel tons better.
Just want it to be my due date already. The weeks are flying by anyway so shouldn't really complain :)
Evening ladies :D
Thanks Mich8 I certainly am feeling a little more in control now after chatting here and IRL with some family members. Scan tomorrow and I really just want it to see those lovely strong heartbeats again. Thanks again!
Rach I totally understand the anxiousness about three weeks post appt, enjoy seeing bubs again on Tues :)
Hi to all!
Aries glad you are feeling better!
Rach I just keep laughing you are having a speedy pregnancy still and mine is dragging I feel like every week I gain you gain 2 lol
Mich glad you think I am going slow too!
Saffy thinking of you xx
Deedles congrats!
Lol I know!
You are taking forever! How does that work? I think it's cos I had my head in the sand for the first 12 weeks!
Thank you ladies :) for your lovely words. It is a scary journey being pregnant after loss.
I went to the doc today just to chat to him about a few things and get the bloods done. He told me I didn't need to get the bloods done as I had them done a few months ago?
Also he made me do another pregnancy test and the line only came up very faintly. So I was extremely panicking but he said its normal as I am so early.
I have a dating scan booked for Friday 3rd Aug so only 2 weeks to wait!
I also had to do a test when I came home and it came up a very dark positive. Maybe the tests they have at the doc are less sensitive? I also noticed for me that my FMU doesn't get as dark a pos as midday, weird?
Rach, Oh I agree. I just want to be over half way already. Though I do want to enjoy this pregnancy as it is my last. So hopefully if I make it to the 12 week scan I can start to relax a bit more.
Aries, so beautiful hun. 2 lil beans growing. I hope today's scan was absolutely wonderful!
Mich, thats not good you poor thing. That must have been scary having heart palpitations while you were driving. I hope they settle down soon and disappear!
Thank you all for the warm welcome and support. xxx
Hi girls,
Deedles- welcome, sorry i am so late in welcoming you here. I agree that the rs tests are less sensitive, have heard of heaps of people getting faint lines at drs but strong at home. Don't get too paranoid about tests ( I know its hard), I drove myself crazy comparing lines, the joy of previous m/c hey x
rach- glad some people's pregnancies are rushing by, can you tell ours to hurry up hehe!
joeve- I just read vic's post and am devastated as I'm sure you are. I love that you are nearly 12 weeks, but it doesn't go any faster after that unfortunately! Good you still have ms for reassurance x
Aries- how was your scan? Twin scans would be great!
mich- sorry you are having heart palps, they are scary aren't they.If it is any reassurance to you, a patient at our hospital has been in with a heart problem, her heart races whenever she stands up ( to like 150bpm) and she is having twins, they are perfectly fine and not affected at all so hopefully your buba won't be affected either. I have low BP too, and am finding I get dizzy now if I stand up to quickly etc. What does your dr say about the heart palps?
Maruschke- how are you and little lady going? Is she in scn?
Hi everyoen else xx
AFM- have gotton over my 'feeling sorry for myself' mood. I went back to work and while it was hard, I found it a good distraction and social event! My colleagues are really looking out for me and not letting me do anything that involves physical work so hopefully i can keep going for a bit. My friend just gave me her pram, car seat and booster, so I am stoked, also getting a cot- woohoo!!
Saffy I am crushed for her I can't believe it. Yay for those lovely baby things for you hope everything continues smooth sailing for you x
Sorry in advance for the me post.
More bleeding- woo :(
I'm supposed to be going away for the weekend- we were meant to leave at 3am tomorrow. Of course it happens on a Friday night. I don't know what to do.
Going to hide back under my rock now
Sorry in advance for the me post.

Sorry to hear you are bleeding yas :(
Hugs yas I hope it's stopped by now. Such a scary time this has been for you x
oh Yas that is typical timing....stupid bleeding....big hugs xxx
Hi ladies
Yas I hope the bleeding has stopped  thinking of you x
Scan went well yesterday, spot on dates and we had a registrar do it so we got a morphology scan for her training! So an hour of looking at the brains, hearts, arms, legs, fingers and toes! Everything! Cheeky little monkeys but oh so cute :)
Thank you for the reassurance I'm just going to sit back and enjoy as much as I can. I'm sure I will be back at some stage though xxxx
Hi to all xxx

Oh Yas, that's just awful! Not fair, did you decide to still go away?
Congrats Aries - so pleased your little monkeys are looking great. They're identical aren't they? You're welcome any time :)
Thanks ladies :) I haven't had anymore since last night, I did decide to leave anyway, as there was nothing I could do at home & I didn't want to disappoint my family. I've been relaxing on the couch all day since we arrived.
Aries- woo hoo! Yay for the little monkeys! I'm so happy for you Hun xxxx
Yas  thinking of you xoxo.
Hi girls,
*sneaks in* Just popping in to say I have been stalking for several weeks to keep an eye on my gorgeous Joeve and Saffy and to check on Yas who I got to meet. With any luck I will be having my first embryo transfer from eggs from my gorgeous Egg Donor in just 2 weeks (6/8). SOoooooooo hoping to be in here with you all soon. *sneaks out*
Hi sunbeam. Hope to see you in here again soon.
Was my m/c due date yesterday. Went shopping with a friend (she didn't know only DP did) and had lunch and a nice day.
It's my birthday today and have had a pretty quiet day. Dd did her first wee on the potty since I started trying to tt her again.
OB appt on Tuesday.
Hope everyone has a good week.
Hey sunbeam! Very exciting wish time would hurry up for all of us!!
Saffy how long will you stay on the clexane? Just wondering as I have FS appointment tomorrow and I think he wants to wean me off progesterone and clexane in a couple of weeks. I am worried about changing the clexane situation so just checking what you're up to!
Hello gorgeous girls in here xx
Sunbeam-I will have a party when you get in here!!! :loveshower:
Joeve- my FS said 36wks but was quite vague, my obs doesn't really know so is going with what he said, but one of obs I work with who my obs works closely with, has a lot of ivf pts, so he has a regime of taking you off clexane and inducing you a day or two later. I will get my obs to confer with him about what to do. I WISH I was going off soon, I have heard about people on it til 12wks, if you don't have a clotting problem, so don't stress. Just think of all the bruises and lumps you WON'T have to have all over your tummy!!
Rach-:happybirthday: hun!
Thanks! Actually when they did the blood test for the antibodies (clotting related) I did have it slightly elevated and FS did think that may be why I mc before. I wonder .... I honestly think my own freaking out about change may be enough for him to keep me on it... At least I feel I can have a conversation with him tomorrow about it. I just wish it was next year already!!!
Just had an OB checkup. All is fab:)
Sunbeam- thanks Hun! I hope you get a very sticky BFP in 3 and a bit weeks :) I will be stalking ;) xxxx
Joeve- how did your appointment go Hun? Are they weaning you off clexane and progesterone? I'm now off progesterone, I weaned between 12-13w. I wish it was next year too! Xx
Saffy- how are you going lovely? Xx
Rach- yay! Glad all is well!
DG- hope your ok and that ms has racked off xxx
Mich- how are you hun?
Afm- I haven't had anymore bleeding since Friday night so I'm really happy about that! I have 2 sick kiddies though and don't feel too crash hot myself. I have a doc appointment tomorrow so fx I hear bubba's hb.
Hope everyone's going ok! Xx
Yas - Yay for no more bleeding since Friday night.
I had my Morph scan last week and it seems all is ok. I have to get another scan in the 3rd trimester to check the heart and kidneys, but they told me not to worry about it because everything looks pretty good. We didnt find out the gender either!
hi girls,
DG-great news on your morph scan, I had an early morph scan yesterday and was just watching the dvd they gave, and couldn't help trying to sneak a peek even though we don't want to know!!! But I couldn't see anything anyway, I couldnt' help myself!!
Yas- glad your bleeding settled, touch wood i haven't had any further problems since 13wks. You must be so sick of being sick you poor thing.
joeve- what did your dr say about clexane?
rach- thats good news, a good checkup keeps me happy for a week at least.
afm- had my early morphology scan (due to high risk for DS), as soon as the u/s guy put the probe on and looked at its nose, he said this baby is very unlikely to have DS ( bubba must have a honker lol) soI was relaxed for therest of the scan, he looked at all markers and nothing was abnormal at all so VERY relieving, I am not stressing about it all now.I also saw some research recently that said IVF pregnancies with a fresh transfer have a high false positive rate for DS risk, something to do with the bloods, which i totally think is what happened in my case as my nuchal translucency was completely normal. Feeling some movements in the last few days which is exciting it feels like a muscle twitch in my pubic area- go bubba!
Rach, DG and Saffy - congrats on great scan results! I love coming in here and seeing lots of good news :)
Yas - I'm so glad the bleeding has stopped. I just can't wait for you to start having a smooth run!
Sunbeam - HI!!!! I have been and will be stalking for your news and am hoping and praying that we see you in here soon
Joeve - all smooth sailing over there for you I assume? :)
I'm plodding along and my heart is being much better behaved this week :) Thanks for your encouragement Saffy. The ob had told me it wouldn't harm the baby and there's nothing I can do anyway. I just feel so crap and like I can't get enough oxygen when it's happening that it always makes me worry! Next ob appointment is in a week and a half. I'm looking forward to seeing bubs again - it's been sooooo long. I'm not looking forward to getting on the scales at all tho!!!!!! I'd gained 10 kg by 20 weeks and have gotten dramatically bigger since then - eeeeeek!
Hi girls, wondering
If I can join in here, I would post in the late loss & stillbirth forum
But it's very quiet in there.
I'm Jo and pregnant with bub number 8, 2 of which were born sleeping, a little girl at 19wks and a little boy at
20wks. Even though I've had a rainbow baby since then and know I can do it I'm still starting to get anxiety return :(
I'm nearly 8 weeks
Hi jlk and welcome.
This group is so lovely and supportive.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and sorry to hear your two babies weren't able to stay.
I hope you have a long and boring time in here :)
I just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone
:welcome: to all the newbies on here
:hello: to all you lovely ladies, SO sorry its been ages since I last posted.
Glad to see all of you are doing well :)
Mich - How are you? I have had shortness of breathe too on occassion but I got a bonus this week with indigestion and heartburn! LOL what can you do I suppose. Have bad back pain so have been waking up at 3am and not going back to sleep but thank goodness DH has been massaging and it feels a bit better. Have got that MASSIVE maternity pillow but whoever invented it forgot to realise there are other ppl in your bed cos seriously its like having 3 adults in there hahahaha poor DH is on the sidelines LOL
AFM - as per above sore back and heartburn and indigestion but really just trying to think positive and that baby must have a whole lot of hair or something (wives tale re heartburn). I still wake up at times and feel like I'm not preggo and its all been a dream but when I have to literally ROLL out of bed in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and my DH cracks up I remember quick smart hahaha
Apart from all this I have my next OB appointment next tues so that'll be nice and we get to see the baby but my OB is on hols so I'll see his midwives which are lovely. Hopefully they still do the u/sound. We have planned to do another 3d scan at the end of the month just for our own amusement and to have more chunkier pics of the baby :) So cant wait for that!
Had my gest diabetes test a couple of weeks ago and it came back slightly high so they sent me to do the longer 2 hours test which was horrible. I almost threw up, I dont mind the drink I think its just the fact you're getting SO much sugar (cos its double the dose of the first test) in 5 minutes that made me feel sick. Also the fact the office where I got it done (in the hospital) was SO warm so that added to it. Lucky my mum came along and saw I turned white and told the lady, she came back with a sick bag and said "sorry but if you're sick you'll have to come back and do it ALL again another day" this was GREAT since I just had 1 urine test and a blood test already and still had 2 b/t's to go! Anyways managed to hold it all in after going to the bathroom and resfreshing my face (which was the ONLY place they let me walk to). Results came in and all was "normal" thank goodness so now just business as usual.
Feeling heaps of movements and finally DH can feel them too. Gaining weight like crazy (I sympathise Mich!) Not sure what the scales will say when I go to the OB's office on tuesday probably "GET OFF!" LMAO
Anyways BIG HELLO and sticky vibes to you all xox
Hi to the newbies also!
Mich- I have a body pillow,so I completely understand, along with a cat who takes over half the bed and DH, I get no doona and feel like I'm sleeping in an inch space. Glad GD results were ok.
I'm on a weeks holidays now-hooray-work makes my back hurt so much, it needs a break. As everything has been going ok- touch wood-I am hoping ot work for another 10 weeks or so, then retire for mat leave around 28-30 wks. Was getting some movements last week, not so much now, so did a doppler at work today before leaving, HB great, so can relax and hopefully will get a few m/ments when i'm away for reassurance. Can't believeI'm having my 20 wk U/S in a few weeks, still feels like a dream to me too.
Have a great week coming up everyone, I will be in Hamilton Island relaxing :D
Hi and welcome jlk - I hope you're coping through this scary time
Hi angelfish :)
Mia - wow - I could have written your post exactly!! Ha ha. I wake up at 3am every day - then move to the couch. I was using a V shaped pillow but took up so much room so got one of those small foam wedges. Takes up so much less room but I don't think it will be effective when I get even bigger!
Great news on the gestational diabetes test but sorry it was such an awful experience. I'll be doing that in the next couple of weeks (the yukky 2 hour test I think!). I also have my ob appt this coming Monday - one day off yours :) So glad all is well with you, we're so in sync, wonder if our bubs will be born on the same day, ha ha!
Saffy - hi :) That was Mia - ha ha. Holidays sound delightful, I'm pleased everything seems calm with the pregnancy now - phew! I know what you mean about over-analysing movements (or lack of movements). Some days I get lots and some days barely any even at this stage - so glad I have my doppler those days.
Joeve - Where are you in relation to the chair now? Under? On? I saw your updates in the other thread and have been thinking of you  - how's things now?
AFM - 4 days til ob appointment! I still have moments where I (quietly) freak out about anything and everything that could possibly be wrong with the pregnancy. I wish I didn't but hopefully the appointment Monday will put my mind at ease!
sorry I always get your names mixed up, I did realise in my brain it was you Mia, my fingers obviously didn't though! x
Mich- I'm sure everything is fine, but its nice to ee bubba on the screen and get reassurance x
Mich glad everything is going well for youx
Mia nice to see you again and boo to waking up early!
Saffy you lucky thing going on holidays I am so excited for you!
I am sitting on the chair lol had my NT scan today all looked good bubs was wriggling around every which way and my results all came back low risk so feeling good x
