Vic, I had constant ms for 2 weeks and when it went I was panicking. Everyone told me it comes and goes, but all i could think was the worst. I had 3 good days and then it came back, though not as bad, it's still here. I figure if I can't eat like I used to, there's still a baby in there! This is so daunting at this time, I'm sure you could get another scan if you are really worried xx
hi ladies,
having a bit of a freak out today, my boobs havent really been as sore as they have been for the past two days. used to be sore to touch, and now not really. i know hormones can fluctuate, but im a bit worried. im only 5 weeks & 3 days, seems a bit soon for symptoms to ease off? i have made an appt with the gp and will get them to check hcg/prog levels bc i just cant wait until my scan next tues to find out whats going on. i feel a bit silly bc i should be happy that im pregnant, but i just cant help feeling like something is wrong. sorry for the negative post, i was doing well up till now trying to be positive but its so hard after having previous miscarriages.
hope everyone is doing well. xx
Andie - I too had a freak out moment around the 5 and a half week stage. My GP gave me BT forms to get my levels tested whenever I want so I got my HCG retested and was reassured. I have only had to do it the once as so far so good with they symptoms. Its a very hard stage being between 4 weeks and 6-7 weeks until the symptoms really kick in. Try and have faith that its all ok in there and get another HCG test as its better not to be so anxious. Easy to say right lol. I am surprised they are not making you wait until the 7 week mark for your scan as its better to see the heartbeat, but I know its soooo hard to wait :)
As for being negative I usually find the good news starts to wear off about 10 days after I get it, then the panic starts in again. First HCG, flying high. Then the doubts till the next one. Then doubts creep in till the scan. Ugh its a vicious cycle :(
Vic- me too!! I was talking to hubby about this the other day. Every time I look forward to some little appointment or milestone I think that I will feel relief, and yet it truly doesn't help me, I feel numb!! I truly hope this feeling goes away, we waited so long to get here, i don't want to miss it by being caught up in my own fear.
Maybe - MY BFF went through 8 IVF cycles (just like me) and when she finally got her BFP was so thrilled and scared to death. She then started bleeding at 5 weeks and went on to bleed through her whole pg and got told on many occasions that she was having a mc. Her DD is now a happy and healthy 3 year old and she said her biggest regret was not being able to enjoy the pg. With her, the bleeding constantly had her unsettled. For me its having a missed mc. My bub had stopped being viable 3 weeks before I found out. Lucky for me this time around the nausea is keeping that pg feeling ticking along. When is your next scan/appt? My scan is 21st dec which feels like forever away. We just have to have faith that our ms means that something is going on inside us :)
thanks, vic. you are right, the good news only lasts so long. i was feeling pretty good after the first hcg numbers came in... now ive had a week to digest, the nerves are kicking in. ive had the bt but i doubt it will be back today, probably have to wait until tomorrow. at my scan i will be 6 weeks & 4 days, so maybe they think its close enough to 7 weeks? who knows... thanks again for your post, i appreciate it. xx
maybe - i think thats what i feel too, numb. its like you cant get excited or let your guard down. i hope you get to enjoy your pregnancy soon.
Vic and Andie hugs hope there is more awesome news around the corner for you both x
The unsure feelings haven't left me the whole time it's just one foot in front of the other :)
My BFF said it only hit her she was having a baby when she was put in her arms. She said even then it was all very surreal. She couldn't believe it was hers and that she got to take it home with her lol.
Although she said reality set in really quickly when it was their first night home and her DD cried pretty much all night :)
Lol that's a good reality check!
Are you excited reaching the 30 week mark? And finishing work soon I guess?
Yes it's exciting however would be slightly better if I wasnt sick!
Feels bizarre in a way as we have a cot and pram and lots of baby stuff in the house.... Oh and I get kicked and punched on the inside all day long ha ha
Nawww, I cant wait to get kicked and punched. I dont know how you have handled being sick all this time. I guess one day at a time. I am constantly seedy and nausous and its only been 2 weeks :( Your poor DH is a saint. The novelty is wearing off already with mine lol. He has been good, but could be better :)
It's been harder than I imagined and lots of times I have heard myself utter how over it I am. But after waiting so long for this I am trying to just get through it. Sad that I have wished away the weeks!
Your DH will come around if your sickness doesn't leave, it takes them awhile to realize how bad it is for you!
hi ladies... gp rang first thing this morning with my results from bt yesterday. hcg is 16,300 & progesterone 123. so numbers look well within the range so far... not sure why my symptoms have gone if my hcg is that high, but i guess its just one of those things. its been an overwhelming couple of days stressing about it, so i am going to try and relax over the weekend (wish me luck!) and patiently wait for my scan tuesday. thanks for all your comments, i appreciate it. :)
Oh Andie I am a lot excited for you xx
Andie - my hcg was 16,650 at 5w+5 and around 6.5 weeks the feeling like I am starving to death kicked in. Then it changed at 7w+1. The nausea set in and the seedy feeling. And being so freaking tired. Come 3.00pm I knock off work, go home, do the minimum house work that I can get away with and then its a big flop on the couch until 5.30pm get up and have a spew and start dinner. My ms starts off ok during the day and gets worse as the day progresses until 5.30pm when a quick spew settles me down for a while so I can sort out dinner. The whole day is an effort.
It sounds like your on track anyway. I still have my freak out moments, but I haven't had one since last Wednesday. I have a love/ hate relationship with the ms.
thanks, joeve. ;)
vic - thats reassuring that our hcg is around the same at 5ish weeks, mine was taken at 5 weeks & 3 days. im feeling better now that ive had it checked, the worst thing is not knowing what is going on. hope your ms is kind to you tonight and you can get your dinner cooked without the spew. xx
Ps my hcg was a lot lower than both of you at that stage :) I think it was around 6000.
So looking good girls :)
And yet your really sick :( You poor thing. Maybe it spiked?
My family is pretty hardy stock apart from my sister :)
I don't know how you all do it. I can't stand it anymore, the nausea is just unbearable :( All I want to do is sleep so I don't have to deal with it. I'm so miserable. I wake up in the middle of the night feeling so hungover I just want to cry. I'm sick of vegemite toast and salada's. I haven't eaten a decent meal in over 3 weeks now and It's really taking it's toll. All I have done for the last 3 years is wish for this, and now I have it I just want it gone :( I feel like such a terrible mother already. Sorry for the rant ladies, just had to get it out :(
Tasha I just can't say enough how much I know how you feel. I have not cooked anything since I was 6 weeks pregnant. I mean a real meal. I eat the same thing for a week then I can't stand it and have to find something else. I raved to you about chewing gum and just this week I can't even stand that anymore. I honestly am I not sure i would have coped if someone had of told me this would be ongoing! But here is the thing....not everyone gets it for the whole pregnancy, you have to believe one day you will wake up and feel better! I just keep thinking not much longer and I will be ok! I was wrong but that does not mean you will be the same. Wait until bubs starts moving it will help you a bit to bond and remind you why you need to keep going and accept that sickness may be part of the journey.
I wanted so much to enjoy this pregnancy and I really haven;t but I want my baby and if I have to go through this to get it then, as you will, I will just keep sucking it up.
I hope your sickness goes away. I found the days I didn't feel as sick I got diarehea....nice hey???
Oh joeve, you poor thing! Just the thought of feeling like this for 9 months make me feel depressed. I am no better today :( The vomit just sits in my throat. I have lost all joy in anything I ever used to do. I used to look forward to a nice hot shower after a long day at work, but the thought of undressing and standing in the shower, brushing my teeth...makes me cringe :(
I know you don't have long to go, but hope you get some relief even if it is a few weeks. FX i hit 12 weeks and this life ruining feeling goes away.
Tasha I am ok and through the worst of it fingers crossed you wake up feeling awesome soon xx
i know i said i would try and relax until my scan, but i had a really intense cramp that lasted about 5 minutes late last night, i had to kneel on the floor and breathe through it. i know cramping/twinges are normal with things stretching and making room in there but this was quite painful and not sure if thats normal or not...? ive had no more cramping/twinges since, no spotting etc. anyone else had a random, painful cramp? (i know its sounds silly to ask about 1 little cramp, but it worried me bc it happened just out of the blue, and was quite painful).
tasha - how you feeling, nausea getting any better?
Andie I did and it was on my right side. I panicked and then the next week at my first scan mentioned it. The US lady said that my corpus luteum was on that side and can cause cramps. :)
Mine was intense and took my breath away.
I am hoping everything is going beautifully in your belly x
thanks, joeve. this one was down really, really low, like on my pubic bone. just an odd spot to have a cramp. :dunno:
Andie - All the very best for your scan tomorrow. We are all hoping and praying that its where its meant to be, right on dates and the little heart beat is strong and steady. If your like me your probably counting the hours and swinging wildly with endless emotions. Enjoy it tomorrow. We will be stalking ya :)
AFM - The ms is coming and going. The last few days have been pretty good, but today its a very ordinary day. I am just praying that its all ok in there. I am 9w+6 today and I cant help thinking this was the day that we had our scan last time when it went so horribly wrong. The scan next Friday seems so far and yet so close. Does anyone know if my GP will be able to hear the heart beat with a doppler at 11w+1? I am not a skinny minny. It would be nice to hear the hb next Wednesday before the scan on Friday. Sort of a heads up.
Sometimes I am find it very hard to believe that we are having a baby. I know I am pg, but the end result of actually taking home a baby seems so not our life. If that makes sense. Like this is just a big trick or hoax. Sadly I know that from being on here that girls dont just have one mc and go on to have a healthy baby.
Still I shall be positive and keep praying to the universe to let me keep my baby.
Andie- best of luck for tomorrow love xx
Vic- I had all those feelings too, its normal I guess. As for he HB at 11 weeks I hink I heard mine about 11 and 1/2 wks on a doppler I had at home but it took ages to find ( not sure if your gp would persist as long as me) and then i didn't find it for a few days after that, its very hard, esp with a tummy. My ms had completely finished by your gestation now. I'm really wishing for the best outcome for oyu hun, everything is going well so far and you just have ot keep your chin up and stay as positive as you can xx
Joeve-I love you being 31 weeks!
Hi everyone else, hope all is well, I have been very quiet on here as we had no internet for ages ( frustrating as I was stuck at home with a sore coccyx and no bellybelly or facebook )
but all good now. I did a catch up read.
Had obs appt today- can cease clexane woohoo!, all ok especially that baby is head down now after torturing me for weeks, doing acrobats and being breech/transverse constantly, I nearly went demented. Only problem is that my fundal height is still at 33 cm which it was at 34wks, so I am having a growth scan on Thursday. My belly is getting bigger but I felt like the baby wasn't really so I was right. Fluid level good and lots of movements now it is head down so not too concerned, but I am going to try and get everything organised this week just in case!!!!!! Holy moly, am I having a baby soon??
Andie good luck for you scan! Exciting :)
Vic milestone dates mess with your head, ms is good trust your instincts and hope bub is doing well.
Saffy yay for no clexane! Jealous! I had a growth scan last week and bub was head down the movements now are so different.
I still am sick, a bit depressing now and I am just not hungry. Have a ob debrief over scan results shortly but according to scan all measurements seemed good normal etc.
Hugs to everyone else and hope you are all busy baking away x
hi ladies - i actually had my scan yesterday... all looks good and we saw a heartbeat. it was a hard day, i was crying as soon as i entered the imaging centre... kept me waiting for an hour past my appt time too, just to drag out the suspense. but we saw the yolk sac, fetal pole & heartbeat - and all measuring as it should. kind of doesnt feel real yet though?! i am feeling fine, a little queasy yesterday afternoon, but i think thats just bc of the stress of yesterday. i booked my first ob appt this morning :o. that was weird. it will be just after christmas, and they will do a scan then too, so i will be around 9-10 weeks by then. i saw my fs yesterday too, which was a nice way to end the day. :)
joeve - you poor thing, thats not fair being 31 weeks and having ms.
saffy - yay for finishing clexane! i am getting sick of it already, i have some massive bruises. fs seems to think i should be able to come off it by 12 weeks, but i am a bit scared to come off any of the extra meds im on. see what the ob thinks i guess.
vic - hope you're feeling a bit better about things today. i know its hard to believe that things will turn out ok, im still struggling with that myself. but i keep reminding myself of all the good bits that are pointing to things going well (hcg numbers, heartbeat etc). still have my panic days though and i expect i will until i am actually handed a baby. ;)
hi tasha & anyone else ive missed. xx
Just popping in to say woohoo Andie! Sounds like a highly stressful day with a perfect result. Hope you can relax just a little now and enjoy your Christmas x
unreal andie!
Last night I woke through the night with really bad pains in what I think is the kidney area. I went to the loo and when I wiped I found a bit of blood. Not full blown red, pink when I wiped. Like when af is coming on. It freakes me out. I didnt bleed last time. It has not happened again. No muccous, just pale pink. I am going to see if I cant get a scan today. Far out, this being pg is way more stressful than ttc.
Vic, you could have a nasty UTI!
Vic I second that it could be a uti.
God I pray thats all it is. It doesn't hurt to pee but I am going a lot, but thought that was just being pg and drinking lots of water because its warm. I doubt I will be able to get into the doctors, I know she is booked until Jan.
Maybe - Am LOVING your avi x
I just called the clinic and can go to the treatment room this afternoon as she starts at 3.15pm today.
I had one when I was younger that I didn't get any symptoms with until it was quite severe and I was cramping, it totally sucked and I ended up in the E.D!
and thank you, I love it too! From my first day on BB I was waiting for the day when I could get a bump avi, I was almost scared to have it uploaded but I'm just going to enjoy it because it's gorgeous. The lovely Novella created it for me!
Vic just tell them you are seeing a bit of blood, I had bright red bleeding at 11 weeks and they squashed me in for an us as I was freaking out on the phone. Most are reasonable like that :)
I called the clinic and they said to come in at 3.15pm to the treatment room as she starts work then.
Joeve - I kept chanting through the night that you and Saff had bleeds around the same time and your both still pg.
Maybe - I am going to wait until my 12 week scan to get another one made. I had one made last time, but had the mc before it was uploaded.
