Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #5

internal & external scan today, looks like I have a mild sort of placenta previa in that the placenta is very close to cervix. bleed is from blood vessel underneath placenta, or come from uterus stretching as its growing, therefore lifting a bit of placenta with it. have about 1-2 ml left to come out, or it may clot & be absorbed. possibility of it all happening again given where the placenta is lying. baby is doing well, did all the 20 week scan stuff today which was reassuring.

thank you so much to everyone's replies, especially the ones at 1am... very appreciative of them all. Xx

Jeepers Andie, what a horrid 24 hours you have had. Heart sank when reading your first post, but lifted when you said bubs was ok. Are you on bed rest? Will be quietly stalking you xxxxxxxx

calluna - apparently the placenta will move upwards & away from cervix as uterus grows, so hoping it does resolve. thankyou.

vic - yeah, bed rest for now. at least until bleeding stops. have been discharged now as have only had brown spotting today. have to go back in if it turns red again. looking fwd to sleeping in my own bed tonight. exhausted after past couple days.

greenslw - yeah, monitoring too. another appt & additional scan (if I want) in next few days. and another internal scan to check cervix length & bleed spot in a week. your poor sil, glad they found the reason though, makes it a bit easier to accept when you understand why it's happening. for me, anyway.

    Hi All,

Hope you dont mind if I join you. I got my BFP yesterday at 12 DPO so it is still very early days. I am trying very hard to be excited but I am absolutely terrified about it going wrong again. Will hopefully get bloods done this week. Im going to see if the OB I had last time will see me this early as he was great throughout the mc and I would rather just deal with him if possible.

Welcome Em and congrats on your BFP! Fingers crossed you'll have happy and healthy pregnancy this time!

Have been feeling really ok some days, then some days not at all. Those off days seem to be on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and I had Friday added as well, last week. We'll see how we go this week! Today I'll be visiting my ob for the first time and it's also the first time since I saw him at the D&C, hope it won't bring back bad memories... And hopefully it will be good news this time! He'll do an external ultrasound as well Can't wait to see bub.

Hope you girls are going alright!

Andie that's good you're feeling a little better.

Em congratulations and hope everything goes well

    Me4ever... I am the same ...

Greenslw ... I hear you about the nap!

Me... I wish I had something good to say I just feel terrible. I just can't get it together and don't have the energy to do
Anything. I have spend so much time in bed. Kinda feel like I have a cold. I have been eating heaps too. And seem
To have restless leg. I can't seem to remember feeling so bad so early with the other pregnancies. I just feel wiped out and really hormonal.

Thanks for your thinking of me greenslw! It all went well! The ob was very optimistic about this little one, so we're very relieved! So pretty optimistic and have booked our first trimester screening (30 April) and 19 week (beginning June) fetal anatomy scan as well! No listening to heart beat yet maybe next time?
Greenslw - can the washing wait? Or maybe your DF can give you a hand with it? You need your rest for you and bub!
Mel - sending you big hugs and hoping you'll feel better soon!

My date has officially been changed to 17th October. Bub measuring 9w4d instead of 10w6d. All my babies measure behind but that just means no induction push. We DTD 13th Jan, then not till 4th Feb so dunno how I fell pg around Australia Day like the doc says lol. I don't like having a EDD so close to that of my first pregnancy.
