The Mrs- Good luck. Hope you get to see bean and hb

Greenslw- Oops. That's going to be awkward when you do tell. Maybe you could do the whole "I didn't know I was pregnant" thing for work?

Noone helped me, why would they? With my first two pregnancies I had some public spewing but nothing like that. Two days after I found out the first time I spewed next to the bottle shop, 9am cos I had called my brother for his birthday and that's where the public phones were. Next with that one I was halfway up the stairs for my old units and ran back down to the garden. If I had of gone up it would have gone all over the carpet. Downstairs was not happy but I told him to blame my then partner as I told him if I ate I wouldvomit and he told me I was being silly and would leave me if I didn't eat. Again with that pregnancy ,I went and chundered in a friend's front yard. With DS1 it was just the once in front of the docs office and he had made me drink all that water you do in early pregnancy and so I turned into a water fountain. At least I made it off the bus.since then I've been pretty good at hiding, even though my boss did walk in on my chucking in the loos, at least it wasn't in the restaurant or carpark lol. Oh that reminds me, this isn't my first public encounter this pg. I threw up all over the carpark at the end of a gig with this old dude looking on with disgust. None of that was as embarrassing as last night though

With my first I put on 10kg in first trimester!! And 30kg total so I was always wondering what was fat and what was baby and placenta the front I felt hardly any kicks while pregnancy.
My second pregnancy WAS twins lol and I'm sure by 14wks when little twin died I was showing a tiny bit but it was hard after cushings disease, I still have a lot of weight on my upper body. But I lost 2kg first trimester and then only gained 6-8kg entire pregnancy.
So I'm a bit clueless to how or when my shape changes in pregnancy!!

Telling myself not to stress and just wait two weeks til next ob appointment.

yay for a great scan Cheshire...

Hope all is well with you The_Mrs.

Dampyre - I hope you start to feel better soon.

Greenslw - not long to go til your scan. At least work is keeping you distracted!

Duchess - I put on 30kg with both my pregnancies by the end! I guess I was kind of lucky though as it was all fluid, to do with the pre-eclampsia, so lost about 20kg in the first week after baby was born...

AFM: Trying to work out how we are going to afford for me to have more time off from work - I will be finishing at 32 weeks, and hoping to make it to 37 weeks so I can have baby at the Albany hospital, and not have to go to KEMH..... I've been battling a migraine for the last week and a half, yesterday I felt sort of normal, but have wicked knots all up my back and around my shoulder. DH is doing his best to get them out for me, but it's taking a while. Been using heat packs, and been on pain killers for that time. Hopefully today is the day they go.... Otherwise, still continuing along...

Hope today is better.were you early with your other pg? I went on the dot last time think I want to work till 36 weeks. Not sure I've worked out the affording baby either semi plan then wing it. I'm sure I can go back early if needed. How long will you have off?

at the moment i feel like most of my weight gain is my boobs !

still scared and waiting for the 12w scan. i have thought about getting a doppler from ebay, not expensive around $20 but not sure if it will be any good or more stress.

very early night for me. how are you all sleeping?

No news yet from the Mrs?
Cheshire - so happy it was all good news!
Kbudgie - fingers crossed time will fly. Hope you have lots to keep busy till you're due for your scan! Not long now and I hope you're tiredness will be easing!
AFM - I had 2 days of work and it was so nice! I was very busy yesterday, doing shopping etc and visiting my new nephew again, so tiny at 2 days old. Today I enjoyed a nice book in the sun, did some crafting, walked the dog in the sun, and did some cleaning up as well Now it's back to work tomorrow and on Saturday as well. I hadn't been sleeping very well, but last night I got a good night's sleep for a change. So today I was feeling heaps better. Counting down days to my next ob appointment. I haven't felt bub yet, so I'm starting to get a bit anxious. Hopefully it's just because I have the placenta at the front?! The problem is that I don't know exactly what it should feel like and whereabouts it should be. Fingers crossed Monday will bring us good news.

KBudgie - my sleeping has been rubbish all pregnancy. I keep waking up at random times and can get back to sleep for ages. Still waking up feeling ok the last few days which is helping.
Me4- its very normal not to feel bub move until 20ish + weeks, especially with first bub and anterior placenta. Early movements feel like bubbles popping inside your belly or butterflies tickling he inside of your tummy. As bub gets stronger it feels like gas bubbles and gradually gets stronger and becomes more obvious its the baby.

    hope you're ok The Mrs

MMMMMMM bad news on the car front..its going to cost me $1000.00 and i wont have it for a month!!!!!!!!!! im not sure if i have pre natal (is that was its called) depression...i have lots going on at the moment..very stressful...and im not sure if its just everything going on and the hormones or if its something more...?????????

    Cheshire...so glad everythings ok

V21..maybe you should go and get a massage

Kbudgie....i am the same...think im going into an F hope everything goes well at you're scan...i was just recently going to borrow a doppler from my friend..but heard the HB at the scan last week......i checked out the internet about them...the only thing i thought was maybe it would cause me more stress..especially if i couldnt find the hb and was just in the wrong spot...but then i have heard that once you know what you're doing and hear the HB it can relax you...

Me4ever.....i havent felt the baby much either and this is my 3rd baby and they say you feel it earlier...i keep thinking i feel her but i am not sure...with DD's i felt the first one after 20 weeks and the second i think about 19 weeks...and this one i think i feel her on and off but not 100./.

Kbudgie - I don't think dopplers work well until 18 weeks, I know I would stress myself obsessing if I had one...

Melstar- go and talk to your GP, he/she will know if its hormones, something more or anything they can do. Stress sucks, I've had severe stress and anxiety disorders in the past now first tingle I talk to my doc, it helps letting it all out. $1000 not fair if they already fixed it? Warranty?? You can call racq (or your states equivalent) and they make company fix for free or discount if it should have lasted longer. (My hubby a mechanic)

I'm telling myself I'm bigger and that I feel movement, its working for now even if its crap.

Horrid morning, miss 6 decided to talk about every animal we have ever owned that has died. Then I caught her with lollies she snuck from home and she cried which made me cry... Hopefully the long drive to pub lunch is worth it to distract me.

i think it might be out side influences and hormones..as in i dont cry everyday, dont feel hopeless, dont feel down on myself or anything like that...but with all the things going on and the outside influences im extremely stressed, and extremely hormonal and angry....things just keep piling on top and there are no quick fixes or easy solutions to get rid of them..just feel stuck and sick of feeling this way..

The place were i got my breaks fixed a month ago are not accepting liabilty. They said its not them. So i went through my insurance and they towed it to another company...they can fix the panel but my insurance wont cover any mechanical problems or wear and tear...so then i had to take it to the mechanics.....they need to get the part in from tokyo..the break cilinder has crapped itself (dont know too much about cars) and this is a place were my brother knows well.....and he doesnt think its anything with them doing my breaks but wear and tear....

    Hope youre day gets better

Im stuck at work and its doing my head in

Hi everyone! So lovely to hear everyone seems to be progressing well (despite all the usual pregnancy worries and pains and symptoms etc etc!)
I have now passed my 12+5 milestone where I lost my bub last time. It's been a stressful week but now I feel happy that I've passed it/ No guarantee of course but it feels good. I'm 13 weeks- hooray!

Kbudgie I have a doppler and check in every day just to check the HB is still there (this is more than is recommended but I find it very easy to find- less that 10 seconds and then I only listen for a few seconds and then put it away until the next day). I could find it easily from about 10 weeks.once you;ve found it a couple of times you know exactly where to look. I find for me it helps rather than stresses me out but everyone is different. i had my 12 weeek scan at 12+1, and so wouldn't have known if I have passed my milestone of 12+5 until my next ob appointment (3 weeks away) , whereas with the doppler I know confidently that the baby is still alive and I have passed my milestone. I hired one with first 2 pregnancies but now have bought my own. It's a very personal choice though!

Melster- so glad to hear you weren't hurt from your dodgy brakes, such a horrible situation!

Me4ever- sounds like you're doing well! Don;t stress about the movements, depends on so many things and it's very common not to feel until after 20 weeks. Chances are you have felt them but thought they were gas! hehehe

Is anyone finding out sex???? You guys are all getting so close now to that. I will be away from 17-21 weeks so they will do an early semi anatomy scan before I go so I'm really hoping to find out sex early!! Can't wait to start shopping...Also not sure where we will put this baby- tiny house! Will need a big reshuffle to make room. I think half my clothes will have to go as thee is nowhere to ut an extra chest of drawers for baby stuff!

Anyway- sorry for not enough persies- am thinking of you all! Take care x

Melster- External stressors can impact significantly on antenatal depression. If worried at all, might I suggest bringing it up at your next ob appointment or booking an extra one? S/he will get you to fill in the questionaire (you need to do so honestly) and then chat about your answers and if need be, where to go from there. There are some great counseling places and courses you can do to get things back on track and keep it there. You are awesome for being open to the idea that you may have a problem and that you were able to share that concern

TheMrs- I'm worried about your silence

Me4- I'm not sure if BB are receiving my emails since I haven't received a reply and your avvy isn't up yet.
Lyra- Congrats on passing that milestone.

Butchers- Don't kids just come up with the greatest conversations? Lol.

Everyone else- I am reading, just have very little memory sorry
AFM I think DS2 had a bad reaction to the chickenpox vax. He was in a bed full of vomit last night when I went to cover him :/ He also had blood tests done . Might not be the pox though as a friend gave him a doughnut yesterday and it may have contained dairy. Joys.

Has anyone else fallen drastically behind in their housework? Has anyone found how to manage to bring it back up to what others may see as a satisfactory level and keep it there? I'm not at home till dinnertime or later and leave by 8 on week days and often work weekends. Any advice would be appreciated apart from pick it up instead of stepping over it cos my arms just are not big enough and I feel like my house will soon be on the next episode of hoarders :/
