No I don't work
Since my surgery I find it very stressful, I was a private cleaning for a while but found it hard to fit in with school drop and then miss 2 got to big to bring so I had to put her in care which used heaps of my pay.
I think I'll still get $2k depending on when it changes so that will pay my pregnancy management fee (its $2200)
The boy at Coles thought it started in 10 months I thought it started financial year...

Your scan sounds similar to mine but my downs chance lower which is nice but the disease I had is 10 in a million so Medical percentages don't mean alot to me lol
Duchess you'll get 3k for the baby bonus.
The drop to 3k for subsequent children starts July 1 & the new changes take effect March 2014.

I heard its 2000 for first child and 1000 after that and starts in 9 months .....
Pulled into car park and my breaks went to the floor and I couldnt stop and my door was smashed in .... Not happy jan I was in shock and do nervous but it could have been worse... We weren't hurt at least

Mel glad your ok makes me so cross when ppl don't do a good job esp with cars we really do trust they will work when they need to. Glad your ok.
All this baby bonus stuff is annoying. I know I'll get the 18 week one but don't really thinks its fair for stay at home mums miss out. Will your dh still get the two weeks for dads if they work?
DS was up sick last nights poor little guy then I had a big work thing today so felt so bad that I needed to leave him with my mum. Wow did I wash my hands and so far no sick tum for me. On a happy not squirt (DS came up with nick name) kept me smiling kicking all meeting :)
The dads two weeks is half as much as my hubby's take home pay.
It's not really fair to get nothing if we don't work, It would cost me a fortune to have miss 6 in before and after school care and miss 2 in daycare and I would hate putting baby into care before 14 months and it killed me when I put miss 6 in five days once to do a temp job for a friend.
If I could get my specialist care for free I'd be happy with no bonus though.

Greenslw...i know..especially while im pregnant..it could have been much worse than what it was..i could have hit someone or a car at 60
Duchess....the really make it hard on woman....either way that you go...the prices of child care and after school care..they make it really difficult for woman to work and penalise you when you dont work..its bulldust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And after my surgery when I actually couldn't work they would only give me $10 a fortnight disability because my hubby earns more than $30k, (because he is not 12 lol)

Duchess it's a personal decision I think but life makes some turns that seem to shape choice I went back at 4 months with DS. I was a mess but I earn more an DF so he stayed home for a year. This time I've got a much better deal. Besides women are own worst critics in my opinion. We should stick together.
Dh away for the weekend looking forward to moving in a slow weekend pace with DS.

I've just had sad news that "my" sheep died :( we had her for ages then gave her to a friend when we moved from the country. She had complications with a Twin pregnancy. It's sad, she used to come when I called her and was just lovely. Sadly we were meant to visit first weekend in may and one of friends kids had dirarrea so we missed out on seeing her one last time, then we were meant to go today but again her kids have had high temp virus and my DD2 had serious febrile convulsion last year so we had postponed til next week. :(

Afm: still plodding along, had my scan last Tues. Bubs looks great, just one in there, HB 166pm. :) have a CD with the pictures they took. GP had a good giggle with me about how this all came about - we are also work friends, so it's fun sometimes. Anyway, I will get on the computer again tonight now that the internet is back up and catch up properly. Xxx
I am so tired!! And so much to do this week :/
I have play date this afternoon, dancing tomorrow, dentist Wednesday (miss 2 first time so could be interesting), gymnastics Thursday and likely birthday pressie shopping for miss 6 friend and miss 2 Friday after school. And school time play date Tuesday and pub lunch Friday
Then swimming Saturday morning (miss 2 first time in pool by herself and Miss 6 in new hopefully better class)
Then make a hoot or hootabelle cake for Miss 2 to cut with family Sunday before I need to get miss 6 to best friend birthday party. Then it will be Monday again and Miss 2, 2nd birthday :)
We are feeling for the family whose 5 year old fell out of the amusement ride at his school fair because the same ride was at our school fair last week... Devasting we would have gone on except I was pregnant and miss 6 wasn't 100%
I think I felt bub move yesterday or it could have been kitten on my lap lol. But it's the same spot I thought I felt something weeks ago!
Now I have to fold four loads of washing while DD2 is watching playschool....
I may try sneak in a nap when she does too.
After seeing bub twice last week I'm trying very hard to convince myself this is actually going to happen, we will have a tiny baby by Christmas, its surreal

Me tired emotional and frazzled. And I'm only 16 weeks ahhhhhhh not planning on telling work for a few more weeks due to just not feeling like sharing. All non work ppl know now which is good. Poor DS had a melt down at shops due to not wanting to buy bread which I need due to DF taking the last bit to work :( then saw a clients mu who didn't get my very direct "I'm not at work today" and now I'm spent. Up since DF left at 4am DS up at 5.30 and house guest tonight ahhhhhh. Nanny please! Lol or just keep eating yummy food lol as I am doing. Park visit this afternoon for sure

Some times it used to be 7 then 6.30 earlier when mummy keeps getting up to pee lol no onsweet at my place.
This may seem gross but we don't flush when DD2 sleeping :/
She sleeps til 7-7:30 most days and only let's hubby go to her if she wakes at 2am (extreme daddy's girl)
DD1 needs to be woken on most days.
A newborn will shake things up!
Scan is 9 days away. Mine wake cos of my pee breaks as well :(
my kids tend to get up about 7-7.30....but it depends on there age...
I think i have a bit of ms back...i had a gag this morning....ewwwwwww......been feeling a bit off.....cant believe im 17 weeks already and i am having another girl..havent even thought of names yet. doesnt feel real still....my belly is big but small for me....the other pregnancys every was asking me if i was due and was i having twins....we will have 4 kids in the house soon. As we have a teenage step d living with us...im not sure this will sink in until im holding her in my arms....im still quiet hormonal but its easing a bit.
Duchess...we were the same...the toilet is right next door to my DD room. and when she was a baby everytime you'd go it would wake her up

Went and checked my calendar to see when doc says I fell pg. Anyone heard of + test 4 days after DTD? Lol!
I have floor boards so flush or no flush about 40-60 mins after DF leaves he's up. :doh:
DS sleeps through the night unless sick and not a daddies boy at all. Actually worries me a bit with bubs on the way, he'll be at kindly but it's mummy all the way.
Any tips on getting daddy more in the good books?
Made a gaf at a work thing today saying I remember curry gave me heart burn and 2 I C said your not pg now? I said no as it wasn't the right time. Oh this is going to be messy. Los my room mate at work is being awful to other staff I'm normally very empathetic but have no space for it at the moment pg is strange over or under emotional going a bit loopy.

Wow I hope DSD is going to helpful full house.
Possibly the most embarrassing day of my life. Couldn't stomach cooking so went to go get the kids junk dinner. Head out the front and throw up on my driveway to my garden, getting vomit in my freshly cut and styled hair, peed myself and had the kids running around like crazy buggers and had to sit down so I didn't pass out...all the while at least one neighbor was watching me. Yup, embarrassing for sure. Thank goodness it is bed soon cos I can't do any more today and hoping I stay awake the next 15mins to get them to bed

I'm not 100% why dd2 is an extreme daddy's girl but it may be to do with him not waking me when she used to wake when she was tiny and just going to feed but also just because he works so much so she misses him and clings knowing he will be gone again soon (cries when he leaves and only just stopped crying every time when he gets home)
Man i am so peeevvvvvveeddd they will fix the damage to my car but not the breaks which is mechanical.......so the ppl who did the breaks a mth ago wont take liabilty and the insurance wont pay for mechanical...not IMPRESSED....
Duchess....i think it all depends on you're weight, shape and muscles...i always get really big in the stomach really fast..even with my first. at 8 weeks i was struggling to hide it and all through out my pregnancies ppl would comment how big i was, and was i due and was i having twins...first baby i put on more then 35 kilo, second 20 kilo and this one i have put on 6kilo.......but with this baby even though im big......im small for me if that make sense....im the smallest out of all three pregnancies........my belly kept going down and i was getting worried but everything was fine....maybe the baby is just sitting at the back...
Greenslw......dd1 is a mummys girl but she is also alright with daddy and is ok playing on her own for hours and playing with barbies etc...dd2 who is nearly 2 is completely different. she is soooo glingy to me and often wants to sit on me constantly and wants cuddles and wants to be with me 24/7..she is fine with daddy when i am not there but is a definate mummies girl...i have alsb been worrying myself how she will cope when the baby is here..she will be 21/2 and i am hoping things will change slightly then....i think all you can do is do youre best and wait for the adjustment period
Damprye......dont worry i did exactly the same thing..i have thrown up in my mums lawn out the front and also in my front lawn....bahahhhhhh.....you poor thing...i think my ms is back slightly

Noone helped me, why would they? With my first two pregnancies I had some public spewing but nothing like that. Two days after I found out the first time I spewed next to the bottle shop, 9am cos I had called my brother for his birthday and that's where the public phones were. Next with that one I was halfway up the stairs for my old units and ran back down to the garden. If I had of gone up it would have gone all over the carpet. Downstairs was not happy but I told him to blame my then partner as I told him if I ate I wouldvomit and he told me I was being silly and would leave me if I didn't eat. Again with that pregnancy ,I went and chundered in a friend's front yard. With DS1 it was just the once in front of the docs office and he had made me drink all that water you do in early pregnancy and so I turned into a water fountain. At least I made it off the bus.since then I've been pretty good at hiding, even though my boss did walk in on my chucking in the loos, at least it wasn't in the restaurant or carpark lol. Oh that reminds me, this isn't my first public encounter this pg. I threw up all over the carpark at the end of a gig with this old dude looking on with disgust. None of that was as embarrassing as last night though
With my first I put on 10kg in first trimester!! And 30kg total :redface: so I was always wondering what was fat and what was baby and placenta the front I felt hardly any kicks while pregnancy.
My second pregnancy WAS twins lol and I'm sure by 14wks when little twin died I was showing a tiny bit but it was hard after cushings disease, I still have a lot of weight on my upper body. But I lost 2kg first trimester and then only gained 6-8kg entire pregnancy.
So I'm a bit clueless to how or when my shape changes in pregnancy!!
Telling myself not to stress and just wait two weeks til next ob appointment.
All is good with Boo. Heart rate was 160bpm & so now I'm 100% sure they are kicks & I feel a lot more confident about the pregnancy now :)

Duchess - I put on 30kg with both my pregnancies by the end! I guess I was kind of lucky though as it was all fluid, to do with the pre-eclampsia, so lost about 20kg in the first week after baby was born...
AFM: Trying to work out how we are going to afford for me to have more time off from work - I will be finishing at 32 weeks, and hoping to make it to 37 weeks so I can have baby at the Albany hospital, and not have to go to KEMH..... I've been battling a migraine for the last week and a half, yesterday I felt sort of normal, but have wicked knots all up my back and around my shoulder. DH is doing his best to get them out for me, but it's taking a while. Been using heat packs, and been on pain killers for that time. Hopefully today is the day they go.... Otherwise, still continuing along... :)
