Kbudgie
Every scan I tell myself wow its real, I walk out and start to doubt it again. I can't comprehend that I actually beat the medical condition and that it actually worked. With a whole heap of other negative stuff I just can't believe something so wonderful will actually happen. Little twin stopped growing so randomly and silently I fear every scan will give me similar news.

Duchess: it's not often you come across someone else who has had a pituitary tumour ! Mine was found when I was 27 weeks with my daughter after it had a haemorrhage ! (It wasn't there 12 months before when I had an MRI)
Kbudgie: I'm in denial about this pregnancy, I really felt with the Ivf the odds were against us at every step and I can't believe it worked. I don't think I will believe it until it is born safely.
This stage is very much limbo for me, baby isn't viable so I'm really no 'safer' than I was at 6/8/10 weeks
Fingers crossed the scan tomorrow shows everything is fine because I have really bad backache & stretching pain right now and it's worrying me ! Luckily I have felt baby move since 12 weeks & it's jumping around in there but I don't like this pain !

Hi everyone
I'm new here. I'm 5wks pregnant, have been TTC for 18 months and had 2 miscarriages in that time. Both were missed miscarriages so I thought all was fine until scan revealed no heartbeat and I had to have D&C to remove (one at 11wks, one at 9wks).
I am blessed with two children aged 5 and 3 but for some reason having a third has proved more difficult than expected. I joined the forum as I just feel the need to talk about it. My hubby has not wanted anyone to know about our MCs or that we have been TTC and it is so hard not to talk about it when it becomes so all consuming in your life. My mum knows about the MCs but she's the only one, not even my siblings and friends know which is really hard. I feel like I'm constantly biting my tongue remembering not to give anything away.
So hard to know what to think being pregnant again now. Want to be excited but feel like I can't yet. Dr has ordered weekly blood test to check HCG levels so at least might be alerted to any issues earlier this time.
Look forward to chatting to you all.

Desailly- it's tough having it a secret, it shouldn't be, it's a tragic part of life. People know I need to have fertility treatment and because my twin died at 14 weeks we had already announced it, I publically remember the anniversary of when I found out to try and remove the stingma associated with it.
I hope this is it, I hope this bub stays and is a lovely pregnancy.

Wow busy day in here
Me4 my brother has been with his family twice but I haven't met his daughter 3. I've been twice prior to kids. My dad only met DS last year it is hard although I probably wouldn't have pushed DF for another bubs if they were here glad your ob app went well hmmmmmm vanilla slice ;)
Desaily welcome I hope with ever week your nerves settle
Minniemouse hope scan goes great tomorrow
Kbudgie I totally don't feel like pg is real prob due to not being completely out in the open with it until i feel a kick then I feel it lol
Me what a day DS is sick but not too bad this morning took him to child care and instead of them phoning me they decided to tell me he was off all day when I picked him up. Tomorrow is pre entry with DS school and I think I should have the day off with ds but have 1000 things to do at work :wall: everything at once. My mum is going into hospital yhursday and im designTed driver so another short day at work. Anyone else having trouble making choices ATM? Feels like my brain is fine with what I know anything new is stressful. Not like me at all.

welcome desaily, men are a strange breed! my Dh didn't want to talk much to me about our trouble tcc or mc, we should just keep trying he said but i pushed and eventually we discovered the problem was endometriosis. we did a cycle using insemination and it worked. dealing with mc i needed to talk to people (still do) but many do not know what it's like. belly belly is such a great place as there are lots of wonderful and supportive ladies here who know how it feels and can sympathise. you may not be able to talk to people in real life but you can speak (or type) to us x
lets hope this pregnancy gives you your healthy and happy 3rd bub. i think we all worry when we have had a mc and i am not sure when it will subside x

These hormones are making me crazy.......lol lol....i was at the servo today and this woman was obviously in a rush as she parked the wrong way to get petrol because it was free. I went in and was paying and was trying to find my docket...and then the docket wouldnt work for the guy doing it..and she did this massive sigh........I turned straight around and gave her a death stare.....bahhhhahhhhhhhhhhh.......so rude.....its not our fault youre so time poor and in a rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! think my heart burn is starting up again....im just so blessed it didnt start earlier because the other pregnancies i was in so much pain heaps earlier......got a slight pain in my back but other than that ok. my belly is just not as big as the other two times.....its so strange for me...normally i look about 7 months pregnant now..i can still sleep on my stomach kinda...still in smaller clothes although i have put on 8 kilo and my belly isnt that uncomfortable yet...its so so strange i thought you were supposed to get bigger except i have started massive, pretty massive and now not to bad :) i think the baby is growing at the right rate coz they keep saying she is long etc.....
desaily...welcome and hope you have a healthy safe pregnancy.....that would be pretty hard not to be able to talk about it. It was quiet difficult to talk to hubby about ours, he gets quiet upset to talk about it..but i also think i went a little interaverted myself...hopefully you can talk here then...
Minniem...what times you're scan....good luck
Greenslw....yes my brain is defiantly working differently!!!!!

Kbudgie - I'm almost 19 weeks and still can't believe I'm pregnant. Most of the time I don't feel pregnant at all. Still worry as well. It was a relief that we saw bub happy and healthy at the scan on Monday, but won't believe it till we actually have our little one in our arms. I do think it's a combination of having had a m m/c before and also the time it's taken to conceive the little one.
Desailly - welcome and congrats on your BFP! Am sending you baby dust and keeping my fingers crossed for you that all will be well this time!
Greenslw - Glad you were able to meet the other little ones. Do you talk with them through Skype? I do with my sister in law and her four! little ones, they're gorgeous and are so proud they have an auntie and uncle in Australia! It's also extra special when we go visit them. But we probably won't for a while now, as I'm wanting to go on maternity leave for as long as I can :) You're busy as ever! Will it ever calm down a bit, so you can take care of you instead of everyone else and you can put up your feet?
MinnieM- thinking of you today! Good luck for the scan!
Melster - I hear you on heartburn! It started yesterday for me, I was a bit surprised by it... Now nothing so far today. We'll see how we go! Your hormones probably will settle again, I had this last week, now I seem to be fine. Fingers crossed you'll be right soon :)
AFM Had a very full on day yesterday at work. Was glad when it was 7pm and time to go home. Am counting down days till I've got a month off (A little bit less than 2 months to go!) and then I only have to work about 3 more weeks before I'll be likely to go on maternity leave :) Only 7 more sleeps till our morph scan! Can't wait to see little bub again and see if all's well.

Oh I went off at a condescending cow at gymnastics today (chick behind counter) and didn't even think it could be hormones!?
I feel I should ring and apologise and its two weeks in a row we have had a misunderstanding (but this time I swore whoops)
But will give it one more week and if she is the same and a cow then I'll try extra hard to not explode at her.
Miss 2 gave me a hug afterwards she rocks.
My morph scan is not until July 2 I got into a bulk billing place in my hubby's street so I'm stoked about that.
I see my ob next Friday and as long as I hear heartbeat I'll be ok.
I'm even starting to think I look a bit bigger and rounder :)

Hi ladies,
Just wanted to pop my head in here. I had two miscarriages in a row, one which I had severe complications and had to be revived at hospital. I got pregnant late last year and spent much time very anxious about being pregnant and how my baby would be. Pregnancy would never be the same after those two miscarriages, each day I had to trust that what will be will be and all of my fear and anxiety and begging was not going to change anything. Each day right up to birth I felt the anixety rise and I would meet it and come back to trust. Last week I gave birth to my healthy baby, I feel so deeply blessed, beyond anything I have ever felt before. This great mystery of babies growing and being born has me in awe, and I feel like I have grown and changed so much with all of the trials our family has faced.
I just wanted to share my experience in here, as this group was useful for me in those early days.
Wishing you all well in your pregnancy and as your journey towards birth.
-
Just a quickie from me sorry. Morph scan went well, growth was just a fibroid, bub is almost at my dates and I have to go for another scan in about 6 weeks to check a few measurements and bub's heart. Finally hit last night I'm having a baby LOL. Time to start thinking names
-
Hi all - thanks for making me feel welcome.
Ladybirdflies - congratulations on your beautiful baby! And thanks for sharing your inspiring story. I agree with you that pregnancy can never be the same if you've been through the trauma of a MC. I think I'll feel anxious through most of this pregnancy if it continues. It's sad that you can't just relax and enjoy it instead of always worrying whether it will make it.
kbudgie - yes men are a strange breed! My hubby is happy to talk to me but doesn't want anyone else to know about the MCs or TTC. I think he doesn't want the pressure of people looking over our shoulder all the time wondering if we're pregnant. I can certainly understand where he's coming from on that as I do feel the same in a lot of ways, but still hard not to be talking about it with family and friends.
Had an HCG blood test today so will find out tomorrow if things are looking normal for 5 wks. Prob a bit early to detect issues but good to feel like it's being monitored anyway.
-
Hi ladies I posted yesterday but its vanished:(
How did your HCG go desailly?
Damprye :) glad you feel pg now
Ladybird welcome
Duchess miss2 sounds super cute.
Me4 a month off then mat leave well done. Would you believe I'm twice as calm as with DS lol I'm a busy girl keeps me out of trouble. Is your dh Aussie? It would be so hard to be away from home and pg. does your work have good mat leave.
Mel you are lucky no belly pain I'm already wearing a belly band at night not the physio one yet.
Me busy as ever but nanna is looking after DS tomorrow night and DF and I are taking a friend out for her birthday :leap: adult time
-
Desaily - how were your test results?
Greenslw- adult time!!! Lucky you! Enjoy it :)
My meltdown at gymnastics got messy with chick making a complaint about me but after losing sleep all that night they rang and said I could still take the girls there if I stayed out if her way - um it would be my pleasure!!
I'm meeting a friend for lunch today, its daycare day. Miss 2 has been amazing at drop off last couple weeks so fingers crossed no tears from either of us again.
I'm a bit stressed about the affect of yesterday's gymnastics lady situation stress on the baby so can't wait til next Friday when I see ob.
-
Omg I'm in so much pain. My lower back
Is so sore I can't walk properly. It's the left hand side .. It's so hard with dd 2.... And it's the constant pain
Greenslw think my belly belt is in my car which is being fixed... I need it right now !!! Lol
Duchess ... No good about the fight. Was it hormones or her ? R u ok ?
-
I don't know if it was hormones or stress and anxiety coming back because are funds are low around school fee time of term...
I'm easy to cry and easy to lose my temper lately
But then I worried change in hormone balance could be something wrong with bub.
