I'm so sorry for your loss Desailly :( Sending you big hugs.
Desaily ..... I'm so so sorry :hug: did you have the health issues ? Do you have to have testing or anything. You need someone to talk too!!!!!!! Talk as much as you need. Do you have a friend to confide in
Tick tok .... I hope ur scan comes quickly and you get some great news. Try and keep really busy till ur scan and keep ur mind busy.
Hi everyone
Thanks so much for your messages of support. Bit down today but guess that's understandable. So frustrating that my body hasn't realised it's not pregnant. I've been getting angry every time I have a wave of morning sickness or my boobs start aching - why can't my body stop torturing me!
Melster - I don't have any health issues as such. My first 2 kids were conceived naturally and relatively easily but for some reason when I went to have the third something went wrong and I just keep miscarrying. After the last miscarriage Dr did a range of tests and said the only one that came back abnormal was the one indicating egg count. Apparently number supposed to be about 15 and mine was about 4 meaning my eggs may run out soon so if I want another child need to keep trying now in case I go into early menopause in the next couple of years (I'm only 33). He can't explain how that's related to miscarriages though. I did some internet research and read one theory that your body naturally releases better quality eggs first so when you're getting towards the end of the egg supply there is a higher portion of low quality eggs which therefore increases chances of miscarriage. Seems kind of logical but not proven though so who knows.
Desailly - that sounds like premature ovarian failure - you still have eggs just your ovaries have stopped looking after them, that's one of my conditions I was diagnosed with last year (31)
There is nothing you can do about it as far as I know but I was concerned about miscarrying but then I hoped the egg just wouldn't fertilise if it was dodgy.
Where are you located? My fertility specialist is one of the best especially with these conditions...
Half way yesterday..... I'll be meeting bub around 38 weeks so yay!! Backwards countdown makes me think I can do this, this is going up happen... But then I look at the rare medical conditions I have and think I actually could be unlucky enough to be one of the 1% who lose their bub late :(
Desailly how are you feeling today? I've been thinking of you, I hope you've been able to talk to someone & debrief.
Try to think positive duchess, there are miracle babies born all the time so why shouldn't your bubba be one of them? ;) You are growing a baby despite medical conditions, keep up the good work.
AFM I'm ok - tired & feeling blah but I keep reminding myself I am pregnant & I will continue to think of myself as pregnant until told otherwise. Am looking forward to having my weekly hcg check. I know it's not guaranteed but it makes me feel like I'm being productive.
Hi all. I'm ok I guess. Just want Wed to hurry up so I can get d&c done and move on. Waiting is hard while its still inside me and I'm still getting some nausea etc to remind me.
Duchess haven't had premature ovarian failure mentioned to me but sounds about right. Im in ACT so limited specialists.Part of my prob seems to be that I get pregnant easily and my body isn't recognizing dodgy eggs. Dr said there's a new treatment where you take a steroid drug that is supposed to help increase the immuno response of the uterine lining to help it identify bad eggs and not allow them to implant. So it takes longer to get pg as your body waits for a good egg but hopefully minimises miscarriage. Not sure if I like the idea of being on steroids whilst getting pg though...
Hope everyone else is going ok. Thanks again for your support.
Desailly do you ovulate naturally? Could you go to a specialist and have a scan before you ovulate to see the egg that has been produced? A seperate condition I have means I don't ovulate naturally so I wonder if my doc knew what to look for before triggering me to ovulate after we grew eggs? My levels were 2 last year so maybe being less than you gives me the condition POF and yours not quite that "bad"?
I would be open to the steroids, I had to take them when miss 2 was 33-35 weeks to make sure she was strong enough if she had to be born early due to my gallbladder failing, I held out til 36+6 but knowing the steroids had been given made me feel more in control of the situation. (I also had to have morphine which prior to doing freaked me out but with no choice and some education I realised how tough these babies are... Morphine was the only thing to stop gallbladder/pancreas pain which enabled me to continue the pregnancy to a safe week)
Ticktoc - I am starting to think more positively, I don't think I can tell myself I haven't popped anymore so having a belly helps and this morning I felt him/her from the outside and hubby felt the baby, not a kick but a definately hard area that is where the baby is, all these things make it feel more real. We have a boy and girl name and out scan in a week and a half and then maybe I'll be a lot more settled and feel pregnant.
When is your next scan TickToc?? how are you feeling? Are you having symptoms still?
Desailly how are you? You're being very brave while waiting for wednesday. I was lucky to have had my D&C within 24hrs of finding out I had had a missed m/c and I was a mess. I admire your ability to being able to talk on here and discuss your options for possible future pregnancies. I'm not an expert but I believe they wouldn't be offering the use of steroids if there was any risk to the baby. I hope you get some good news soon from your Dr and you are finally able to have the sticky baby that you want and deserve xxx
Feeling bub from the outside and sharing that with your hubby is wonderful news Duchess (actually got a silly smile on my face). I hope your scan helps to put your mind at ease and you can settle in and enjoy your pregnancy. All we can do is make plans for the future and think positive.
I'm feeling ok - so tired at night that I feel drunk (it's not a good feeling at all) and have noticed that in the morning's I don't feel sick as such but I feel weak and jittery until I have something to eat or drink. I usually feel seedy in the afternoon if I'm late eating lunch. I just keep telling myself that it's out of my hands and until I'm told otherwise then I am pregnant and I am going to enjoy it. I had two helpings of dinner last night (even though I was saying I wasn't hungry while cooking it) and then polished off a piece off cake so I guess it's save to say my appetite is increasing lol. I need to learn some self control.
Morning
How's everyone start to the week?
Not much happening here except some out side stresses. Not sleeping real well and dd2 is being extremely difficult and clingy. Got her 2nd bday coming up.
Hi Melster! All's well on board here! Have another ob appointment today and can't wait to see little bub again. I can't believe that we're already 22 weeks! I just weighed myself and was shocked to see I"m 9 kilos above my usual weight :$ Most of it has gone to my boobs, they're humungous... Some of it to my belly, but it's still very small. Have you been feeling your baby move? I keep feeling it on and off, some days hardly anything, especially when I'm working and am too busy to notice. Other days when it's more quiet it's dancing around and kicking away. Is your dd2 healthy? Hope she starts getting less clingy... She's almost 2? Your signature says born in 2012?
Hi to everyone else! Hope all's progressing nicely for you! Am mostly stalking at the moment.
I'm feeling bub from outside now :) kicking lots at night and I can't kid myself about not showing anymore, but anyone who doesn't know me wouldn't be sure because of body shape before.
It's getting more exciting, my big scan next Tuesday, I'm getting my dad to look after the girls so I can really enjoy it. They have been to all the other scans and miss 2 doesn't understand and miss 6 gets bored after a while so hopefully I'll get a DVD and they can just watch that.
I kinda wish I knew what I was having but I know I'd regret finding out.
I hope no news is good news from everyone.
Me4ever...hope all goes well at ur appointment. I know I can't believe we're 22 weeks either!!!!! Soon we will be talking about pre labour .. Whoops. I just changed it. I
Don't know what's wrong with her... She seems fine.. No sickness just super clingy.. Don't know if its her age. Terrible twos. Or she senses the baby....I have put on ten or maybe a little more... That's good for me tho. First pregnancy over 35 kilo and second over 20 kilo!!!! I think I have about 3 kilo in boob lol I'm nearly a f... My belly is kinda big but small for me if that makes sense...yeah been feeling her move.... She is not as active as dd2 I don't think. I feel her daily but she is not that active
Duchess that will be nice to be able to relax during the scan.... Wish I could not know what I'm having but it gets the better of me :)
14 weeks for me. Still have that nervousness between scans but then I feel bubbles and think Ok stop stressing. We have been visiting family and friends overseas and are just waiting on our flight to London. Some of the family have given us baby gifts and is strange I feel like they should not in case....
I know you all know what I mean. I still tell myself all is fine but keep having random worrying moments.
wishing you all well xx
I'll find out what I weigh on Thursday, my endo weighs me everytime I see her which is every six months usually or every trimester when pregnant, and since not weighing any other time my weight has been good... Hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise, I only feel about 5kg heavier so we shall see.
Hi all - ob appointment went well. Ob was happy with what he saw. Even though he gave me a slight telling off about the weight I gained :$
Kbudgie - can't believe you're 14 weeks already! Seems like time is flying! Nice that you're travelling around and good on your family for being optimistic! I've been optimistic with buying for baby and even though I still worry sometimes, being hopeful and looking at all the positive outcomes on the forum (Joeve, amyjellybean, Keta are a few of them) makes me worry a little less! Especially as the pregnancy progresses! Enjoy your trip!
Duchess - yay for feeling bub on outside! So nice isn't it :) It makes me smile when it happens, as I sometimes forget there is a little human being baking in my tummy :) Countdown for the big scan! Enjoy seeing your little one and let us know how you went!
Melster - what a relief that I'm not the only one gaining "so much" weight! Good on you for it being less so far than your other pregnancies! Ha ha can't wait to be talking pre labour! Bring it on (just to get it over and done with and to have our little bundle in our arms!!)
Hi to everyone else!
Me4 glad your app went well don't worry about the weight my mum put on 25kg then right back to size 8.
Mel interesting that this bump is smaller. Eating better or is bubs just sitting different?
Duches feeling those movements and sharing is just awesome
Me off to hosp tomorrow for appointment with ob. Looking forward to hearing hb haven't yet. DS felt bubs the other night. He was so unsettled I was in his bed and he said "mummy stop moving your tummy" it was squirt so cute. Nice day today had my bump out in the sun for a bit. I'm huge as big as 8 months with DS. Got my interview time 2.30 next Monday. Nervous.
Kbudgie....that is really normal to still get worried!! i only seem to settle a bit after my 20 week scan. Hope youre having a great holiday
Duchess...5 kilo sounds great :)
Me4Ever.....glad youre appointment went well.............REALLY!!!!!!! mmmmmmmmmmm thats a tad rude isnt it :? i know they need to be concerne if you have put on extreme weight....but thats not that much...my Ob only weighs me once or twice each pregnancy...and he has never said anything about my weight....dont they say about 12-15 kilo in the pregnancy?? well i think i have put on 11ish and im over half way...ill be happy if i put on 20 kilo and no more
Greenslw...im not sure actually...i think my first i obviously over ate coz it was over 35 kilo...WHOOPS..and im normally a size 12....i had heaps of fluid tho.....and my second over 20 so wasnt as bad...but same thing alot of fluid and lost 12 kilo coming out from hospital.....this one i dont think im retaining fluid...im not as puffy or swollen and i think running around after two you dont really have time, im defiantly eating more than normal and not going to gym...but yeah probably eating better, dont feel like chocolate and things like that..more savory stuff......im going to go back to gym straight after baby and loose this weight...good luck today
