Been getting a few braxtons. I'm so extremely exhausted its not funny...but I can't sleep or rest. Been feeling a few pains below on my bones .. Like there spreading apart... I weighed myself and I have put on 16 kilos... Better watch these next ten weeks ....
Ticktoc- I post whatever, positive or negative. I figure I need to get it out somewhere that isn't just for me and here is safe. Plus it kinda doubles as a journal lol. After pregnancy and I have recovered, I copy and paste my AFM parts of my posts into a word doc on my laptop. I done the same with my PND posts :)
Milly- Congrats hun. Perhaps the worry stems from a fear of 3? 2 previous angels, 2 live births, where does the 3 go or maybe cos it went 2+2and you're worried about it going 2 again? That's what I do with things lol. I just expect every 2nd to m/c now but worry that I might not be that *lucky* and so have a difficult time relaxing with my others.
Melster- How horrid to have the bh :( I hope they be gentle to you.
Kbudgie- So happy for you for your scan going well :D
AFM- I have to keep an eye on my weight too :( I lost 12kgs and have put 5 back on and will be too fat if I gain more than 10 in the next 10 weeks before bub comes (will be 10 weeks if I have anything to do with it ;-) )
Didn't get to see my OB,just the m/wand I don't feel as comfortable with her so was nervous and forgot to ask some things. Specialist appt was frustrating to say the least. Wouldn't listen to a word I said and wants me to have a c-sec -_- NOT HAPPENING! He had no interest at all in a management plan for IU, leaky waters or liver issues, just "oh well, that happens in pregnancy" seeing OB again Tuesday to discuss a management plan with him instead of with the specialist :)
LOVE this idea - I was feeling as if I was using BB as a online journal & realised maybe I'm coming across as a worry wort all the time. Which I'm not usually, it's just that I have no control over this fear that sets up camp & throws a party every time I get run down & unable to think rationally.:

Mel I don't remember having Braxton hicks with my DD but my SIL has about 3 weeks to go & I know she's not getting a lot of sleep because of them.
I've been trying to ignore it all day but the pain is really getting to me. It's making me vomit worse than normal and keeps making me see spots. Doesn't seem to be doing anything downstairs and speaking of downstairs, the baby is so far down that I can't walk without crushing her head :/

I'm considering cancelling work today because I really don't think I can handle it. She is still down and my tummy is so sore and I feel so sick. Will go for a shower and see how I feel after that. I don't want to let them know it's because of the baby though in case they withhold work (contracted) in the future few months where I still may be able to work. If I do have to cancel, it will be the first time since my gallbladder operation (before pregnancy)

How is everyone going? I have had a sore stomach the last couple days. Cleaned out the kids bedroom and toys and its completely buggard me... Got the glucose test in the morning and obs appoint Thursday. I'm real Kranky at the moment. Had enough of everything...

My scan went well, baby wouldn't move into position so we were there for a while. HB was 137 so I'm guessing its a boy but time will tell. Have publicly announced it on FB & have told my grandparents. Still doesn't feel real but the screen showed me a healthy wriggly bub so I guess it's true :)
Congratulations tick Tok...... Yayyyyyy I'm so happy for you. I hope you're feeling slightly releaved.....it's always a bit of a shock at the start...
I ended up sucking it up and going to work. Noone else was able to cover me and I could not disappoint the birthday boy. Everyone was so impressed with my work as well and I awesome feedback message later that night :)

You're a stronger woman than me damprye, I'm only 13weeks (tomorrow) & feel like taking time off work- my belly feels uncomfortable & I'm not sleeping properly so I'm short tempered & cranky lol. My boobs are also feeling hot & itchy which is adding to my snarkyness :)
It was lovely going to bed last night with my hands on my belly knowing there IS a healthy baby in there. At this rate I'm going to end up sleeping naked in the bath - I'm getting so hot, even with DP not home I'm down to undies & singlet or t-shirt & my top always ends up tucked under my boobs so my belly & back are bare. Summer is going to be very interesting.

Im not feeling it at the moment....vomitting in my sleep..sore belly...exhaustion....hopefully ob has some ideas tomorrow...maybe iron? i have my 3d scan at 32 weeks...so looking forward to that to seeing my little girls face...hopefully making it more real...im worried she is going to pop out and ill be in shock that i have actually had a baby...with the other two they were completely planned and waited for..i was all excited and organised......because this one was a surprise its never actually completely sunk in...i know im pregnant and i know im having a baby and i feel her....but i cant picture her face....her name doesnt sink in..and i cant actually picture her being here and having her...its really wiered to explain.......the pregnancy has been different too.....im attached but not if that makes any sense.......i keep wondering if i have chosen the right name.....but i cant choose any others..this one has just stuck.....and all i keep getting is.....is this your're first baby...."no my third" oh wow how old " 4, 2 and im 28 weeks" oh WOW YOURE GOING TO HAVE YOURE HANDS FULL AND FIND IT HARD............yeah really???? didnt know that and thanks for butting youre nose into my life and tell me what its going to be like.....bahhhhhahhhh hormones

20 weeks here. scan was all good however fate has dealt me an anterior placenta which will mean i won't feel bub as soon or as much. just what you want after mc huh! i am fine though, have decided what will be will be and i cannot control it. midi appointment was today and she explained how to feel tummy, the one where they measure.

Doing okish here atm. My groin area is so darn tender, can feel (even with hands) that bub is spreading my bones lol tmi i totally know! I also think i may be getting thrush. Other than that I'm doing ok.
Kbudgie- The top and sides my friend IRL feels her bub heaps :)
Cheshire- That's good...cruising is very good :)
Melster- Someone made a comment to me today saying how difficult and silly it is having 3 kids 5 and under...forgetting I'll have 3 under 5 :/

My glucose test was great he said. 4.something. Heart beat was good. But all of a sudden I'm measuring at 31 weeks. :redface: and I'm booked in for the section 17th oct in the arvo. He said maybe I'm sick with a virus. And been put on two heart burn tablets a day. At 4 am I woke up nearly choking with vomit and instead of just in my mouth I spewed everywhere. It burn all my throat and I started coughing and couldn't breath... Terrible.

Damprye I carried DD in summer (she was born late March) and it was hell, especially once the oedema kicked in. Thankfully we're now living on the coast so it doesn't get as hot as it does north vic. If you hear of beached whale sightings in the Torquay / Ocean Rd area that'll be me :)
Mel I hope the tablets work, I cannot imagine how horrible it must be to wake up vomiting & having the burning sensation.
How far are you meant to be? Obviously not 31 weeks if you've just had your glucose test.
I'm good, it seems my boobs are growing again (DP was away 4 nights for work & has said there's a noticeable difference). I really need to be aware of heavy fatty meals though as my gall stones are playing up & causing discomfort.
I've been drinking Gatorade every couple of days, I'm sick of water & the constant constipation & over heating at night makes me feel thirsty.
No work tomorrow while we move, woohoo! :)
Hi everyone! Just checking in... sorry have been away and not posting. tLife just seems so crazy busy not much time for internet! Anyway I am 24 weeks today- hooray! Feeling pretty physically horrible but mentally coping much better with pregnancy and feeling hopeful and positive. Lovely to see everyone's weeks ticking over and babies getting bigger and closer to arriving. So exciting!

Hi Lyra stardust, glad everything is going well.
Am trying to decide if I should take today off work- we moved on the weekend & I've overdone it. My lower back & hips hurt & my poor belly feels tender & bruised. And I am exhausted! My step mum & one of my sil's have told me to stay home, and I'm confident I could spend the day laying on the couch sleeping but I don't have a lot of s/l built up so don't want to waste it. Don't know what to do :( Maybe cry because I'm so tired? I try to not pull the "but I'm pregnant" card but am wishing I did on the weekend - DP only seemed to notice I was doing too much after other people had commented I should be resting. He's a first time Dad so I'm not upset with him. But I do wish when I had said I was thinking of staying home he had said "that's a great idea" instead of "that's up to you honey"
DP asked me where does it hurt & I burst into tears so that's it, I'm staying home. He made me promise I won't unpack or rearrange anything & I can only leave the bed or couch if it's to see the GP for a medical cert., the osteo for my hip or to take DD to & from school. I can live with that.
sounds like a good idea to take the day off! You need to take care of yourself. Have a nice sofa day! I'm jealous!
Yes I have become one with my sofa - I have an osteo appointment at 12 & she can write a medical cert so no need to visit GP. I'm wearing my maternity jeans for the first time today, super comfy across my belly. They're only from Kmart so nothing flash but definitely doing the trick today.

I didnt get heart burn and vomitting for the first time in a week last night...what a relief to have a break!!!!! although today i have been having continual tighenings and braxtons and there getting closer together..not painful as such more period like..have to keep an eye on it...my belly feels so hard....

Tick tok...yes i have some pants from kmart...although there all getting slightly tighter...my work pants i cant put over my belly anymore...but i only have 6 weeks left at work so i dont really want to be buying anymore clothes..but i have a feeling that things might become a bit uncomfortable.....i hope you feel better soon
I cannot believe i have 6 weeks at work starting next week and 8 till the baby :o it feels like yesterday i was freaking out about the test coming up positive and run out the house to a friends house because i was so freaked out crying LOL.....
Trying to stay strong and not annoy everyone with my insessant whining. In constant unrelenting pain and wanting the next few weeks to hurry...although apart from that, I am enjoying being pregnant. I have started expressing on reccomendation from the MW and OB. Got a decent amount (for collostrum) last night and have syringes now :)
dampyre I am sure this is a place you are allowed to vent.
afm the heartburn is keeping me awake. If I try to sleep upright I end up with aches everywhere. currently have a stiff shoulder :(
dh thinks I am not enjoying being pregnant because he knows how badly I am sleeping I guess.
Have you tried one of those travel pillows that goes around your neck for airplanes and car trips, etc? Helps stop your head from lolling to the side so it doesn't hurt the neck and shoulder muscles so much
Main reason I don't want to whine is because I myself am over my whining. I want to try and concentrate on the positives and enjoy the last of my pregnancy. Positive thinking type thing. Putting my energies also providing support for other with similar ailments :) I expressed 6.5mLs of collostrum last night so feeling pretty damn proud of my body atm. I have 20 syringes to fill and then reasses with OB if I should begin storing larger feeds or to keep going with anount per expression, not that he was the one that suggested syringes, that was an idea from the October group. I'm not sire how much I'll be needing since we don't know when she will come. If she doesn't end up needing it (full term) then I'll save some for when she gets sick and donate the rest. I'll be donating anyways and if it is to a sick or prem bubba, then that will help the lil dear so much.
Last night i only vomitted once from heart burn....i asked hubby to put my dinner in a container as i had training and i have to stop eating late at night...i tried to eat as much as i could at 6pm......but by the time i got home at 9 and was hungry so had one peace of bread....i went to sleep and vomitted must have been about 11ish...but then it wasnt till 4ish that i got some gurgling but wasnt sick....my braxtons continued but havent got any worse..ill see how today goes...
Damprye....there are reasons why youre winging though!!!! you have a very valid reason.....i hope the positives help you feel a tiny bit better..i can believe youre milk...my milk is no were to be seen
Kbudgie.....i here you with the heart burn....mines so chronic i can be sick up to 15 times a night....the only relief i have found is...eating early and trying to be finished by about 6...not eating or even drinking much after that..as fluids can also bring on the heart burn..i have two tablets a day of losec....sleeping upright like you said....well half up...

sorry I have been MIA - just joined in and never posted again! I have been reading all your posts though (yay notifications!). Its just been a really full-on awful few weeks that I won't go into now.....
I did end up getting my results, and the Dr said the levels were quite high, but that didn't really make me feel any better, as my levels with my m/c have been higher than with my DD's.
Damprye - I think that has been part of my worry, the 2 and 2, that and something a psychic said a LONG time ago.... that I would have "2 or 3" children - so which is it, 2 or 3??????? I used to think that the 3 was angel 2 and 2 DD as they were all within a few years, and then now I wonder, and that I think is what bothers me, the will it actually be 2 or 3? Then the sensible part of me says what rot, and all of those other things about choice and choosing and we hadn't really thought about three till well after 2 was born etc etc......
Can I also ask, how is your friend who had the bleeding? I had been thinking about her as her situation sounded a bit like mine with angel 2, though I hope her outcome was much better.
great news on the expressing - are you anticipating or planning for your baby arriving early (have I missed something) or is it "just in case"
tic toc - yay for your scan! And don't feel bad for taking a day off work. I don't know how many Mondays I had off work when pg with DD1 after overdoing it on the weekends.
Melster - I had the vomiting reflux in my sleep with DD1. and sorry, no suggestions, other than sleeping sitting up. I hope get over it soon....
OK, AFM - ladies I am scared, really scared.
I have had the odd brown spot and have tried not to worry, but then keep remembering that's how it initially started before......
and then tonight, while cooking dinner, I started bleeding, proper bleeding, and now some cramps.
I will phone my Dr tomorrow to get some urgent blood tests and a scan, but I am really not feeling confident at the moment.
sorry to bring the thread down, but I need to tell someone who understands how I feel.
Milly...I'm so sorry you're going through this, I can understand why you're so scared, I just hope you have some good news tomorrow. I had a missed mc so I'm not sure with the bleeding. I know some have had some positive news even with bleeding.. But some that haven't been successful...is it bright red blood? Hope you have some support !!! Hugs
With dd 2 I had some spotting but it was old brown blood
Milly- FX for sticky bub. My friend is still pregnant abd they have no idea why the bleeding, she still gets some spotting but bub is fine. I have a few issues that may cause bub to come early so OB wants me to express in case. I recon she'll end up stubborn and late ;-)
Melster- I'm a cow lol. Yay for just the once, hope the trend continues.
AFM- Not so much tonight but that's to be expected. Wont have a regular supply for a while yet. I knew that before I started expressing as some days/nights I leak and others I don't. I'll end up waking totally drenched as I get further along, always have in pregnancy and it only gets worse after haha. I started sleeping without breastpads to help increase supple when feeding DS2 which really does work. Sure my sheets and sometimes pillow and blanket would get wet but I had a materess protector so didn't care about the extra washing, just enjoyed the extra supply. Also used to use milk cups instead of pads while feeding and expressing to catch the extra so it didn't go to waste and to encourage it to flow :) A lil concerned with bub's movements but I think it is just from her current position and size. Done a lot today (almost all upstairs) and downstairs is feeling very tender, still getting ctx and think I should check tonight when I have my shower to make sure there hasn't been any progression as I "feel" like there may be. Unlikely to be much if I have though as I was progressing from 24 weeks with DS2

I've been having a lot of warm cramping all week, I keep telling myself it's everything stretching & growing but it's making me nervous. It's very much like period pain & I find laying on my side with my legs pulled up to be the most comfortable. I have my 1st midwife appointment on Tuesday so will try to keep the fear at bay until then. Hopefully one day I can go to the loo without checking for bleeding.

Ticktoc- lt is quite normal for most to get those pains at your gestation :)
AFM- Today is a day all I want to do is cry and let everyone know how much pain I am in! I am pretty sure bub has gone posterior and OMG the agony! It takes my breathe away at times, especially if I try to move. Seriously considering keeping DS1 home today but that makes me feel like such a horrible Mum, that I should be able to just suck it up and make sure he gets to school but I can't get up out of bed to dress myself let alone the boys. DS1 also can help himself and DS2 to food (cerial, milk, fruit, crackers, sandwiches, etc) so I know I don't have to stress about them eating and they have the TV on (likely also making a mess but IDC) and DS2 comes for cuddles and then runs back off to play. Seems like the best thing to do for me is to keep them here but the guilt that he should be at school... I do have school activities we can do here once I can move (if I can move at all today) as we used to do homeschooling and I have enough appropriate material to last till year 2 (he is in preprimary). What should I do?
Hugs damprye - sounds like you need a day of bed rest. One day off school in front of the tv isn't going to cause harm, it would be a treat in my house! :) Please rest & look after yourself - is there anyone who can came give you a hand or run to the shops for anything you need?
Yeah I'm just staying where I am amid my mountains of pillows, blankets and doonas in a bid to try and find a somewhat less painful position. I'm frustrated and relieved that "down there" doesn't seem to really be progressing. On one hand, I'd like there to be a valid reason for all this pain (IU is stupid and annoying and noone that isn't going through it understands and just thinks you're a whingy pregnant woman trying to get out of doing anything (aka lazy and attention seeking), whereas actual progression they are like "oh no, you need to rest and keep that baby in". On the other hand, no way do I want progression as she needs to stay in and bake for longer. There is a small change, about half a cm but change like that is quite normal for me, up until 4cm and I'm about 1.5cm with plug and it's where it should be, high, medium firmness and posterior. So good for bub which I am glad about but FMD do I really have to be in so much pain when there is nothing life threatening going on?!

TicToc - I think I checked toilet paper for 9 months with DD1! As Damprye said 14 weeks is a huge growth time so stretching pains are common.
AFM - well sadly I had a full m/c this morning. I was 9w3d.
So, I wish you ladies all the best with your pregnancies, and hopefully it won't take me too long to come back here.
