Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
I am feeling well Dory. I definitely feel like I am having contractions or an irritable uterus just before a bowel movement. If there is some blood pooled high in the vagina a movement will also push that out. I hope that is all it is. Still praying with everything I have this baby of yours is a sticky one. I can't imagine what your going through. Your in my thoughts and prayers that's for sure.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Thanks Mildez....there was some bowel movement action after a few hours. So slow and a long time coming. Things did settle after that. Still think I need some reassurance though....Now I have the thought in my mind that Popsicle isn't moving as much it makes me focus on that. It can be hard....but I don't really know any different. The hard thing is the constant balancing of the fears with calm.
Ohhh, are you enjoying being the most pregnant you have ever been? 39 weeks! It must be good thought to be starting to have some action/sensation in the labour department. Are you experienced with labour or have you needed intervention before?
A friend of mine with two full term pregnancies has never experienced the urge to push. Not for want of trying. First time, twin pregnancy she was induced at 38 weeks or 37. No labour so emergency cs. Not sure about her second, pretty sure she had a cs. Even though my natural births were my angels, I am still grateful of the experience. That urge to push is so amazing and primal.
Hoping you have a lovely birth experience as you welcome this precious baby to the world. Sqeeeeal, so excited for you. How are the small people at home about the imminent new arrival?
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Yes for sure. I always found the 18-24/25weeks the hardest emotionally and I have not had complications before at that gestation.
All my labours have started spontaneously although I needed to be sped up with the last due to infection (her HR was too high although my waters had broken 2days before) I was labouring just not fast enough. I only got the urge to push with my 2nd. The 3rd was too big and in a bad position and became a bit complicated at the end. And my first I think they encouraged me to push before I was ready so I didn't have that urge. I don't have any particular requests. Just want to be well and bub at the end of it. And I don't want anyone telling me the gender of the baby.
The older kiddies surprisingly have been very patient. More so then me. Especially my 4yr old who has been so excited that there will be another baby when Santa comes. That was a bit of a boo boo to tell her that. Although last night she told me when I see the Dr next they will cut it out with scissors and stick me back together with sticky tape. We have told her babies usually come out your vagina but she can't comprehend that theory. Santa isn't a big thing in our house but we have this joke now that mum was on the naughty list this year hence why no baby.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez....hilarious.....I am so excited for you. It will be much easier on you physically once baby is here. I love a sweet surprise....just love the mystery and excitement.
Still the saga continues here....bleeding less but not always old brown blood. Popsicle has been moving more...yay. I am getting a cold! Don't mind feeling under the weather but there is a cough.... a lot of coughing. I feel so vulnerable and fragile when I cough...so hoping that passes quickly. Think I need to boost my immune system.
Tho woke up to an extra in our bed at 3.30 ...nice snuggles. But hopefully I can get back to sleep now for a little bit. One of the cats, one of the children and DH and I....
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Is there anything safe you can take for a cough Dory? You would think I should know wouldn't you? Coughing right now is not going to help the bleeding. I love seeing your ticker getting further along. Its been about 3 weeks since I first read your post and what was happening. I know there is still a long way to go. I just hope every week does come and go with your Popsicle still inside. Do they know whee the bleeding is coming from? Is it placental? I just remember a woman who had really severe bleeding from 14weeks (her other pregnancies were uneventful) it was coming from her cervix and nothing to do with the baby. It wasn't a good story for her although the baby was fine and was born at a later gestation without complications. I know that's probably unlikely but always safer to be coming from mum.
Not much to report. Over the family. DH has relatives coming to stay due to a sudden death in the family. I just want them all to F off. He can't see why its a problem. I have been bleeding since yesterday. Its ramped up today although the discomfort I had yesterday is gone. I am currently not coping with my own household full of people and no escape so he thinks adding more is fine. He has taken off up the paddock, the house is trashed. I feel like going to hospital and pleading with them to admit me so I can sit in peace away from it all and let him deal with it. I am over the phone calls and people asking whats going on. He goes and hides to tell his family what's happening. I like my privacy. I don't want them to know anything except I am still pregnant until the baby is out. He says they need to know to support us with the older kids. Well they have been local for a week and I assure you they have only made my job harder. I've had no help at all only more jobs and requests and criticism. I just can't shake this angry feeling. I am now at the point if anything else happens I don't even want to tell DH. Because he mose well just broadcast it on facebook. I just don't get what part of him thinks its ok to tell people what is coming out my vagina. If the baby comes in the next day or two I will be having a very LOOOONG hospital stay just to have a break from him. Let him deal with everything at home. I told him I am sick of the lack of support and the way I feel right now I don't even want him present for the birth. Well that didn't go down well. He took the kids for an hour last night and I guess he thinks that's his good deed for the month. His normally not like this just its his holidays and the only time he gets off work so he wants his time too. He is also frustrated the baby isn't here and we have not gone away for a break which is what he looks forward to the most every year. And his family are usually not here. I know its hard for him too but right now I am finding it hard to care about what's going on with him.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Big hug mildez Xox it sounds stressful xox
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Hugs Mildez, vent it all out, you will feel better for it. Hope your bubba arrives soon
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Oh sweetie that sounds very hard. The end is so close and I remember that feeling of wanting no one around well.
I hope they all leave soon xx
I'm just popping in here officially also :)
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
So pleased to see you back in here Joeve. Wishing you an uneventful happy pregnancy.
Unfortunately things went pear shaped shortly after my post yesterday. Got abused by MIL within a few minutes of her arriving. In her usual style she waited until DH left the room. Once I told DH which was hours later of course he thinks I am exaggerating it. So we are not talking now and I spent almost all night crying. I look like a freak. My face is so swollen and I can hardly open my eyes. Then I got a migraine and in amongst all this somehow not only did I have my own 3 children I had SIL's too whilst everyone went to town. I don't even know how I am going to drive the 100plus kms to the Dr today DH can't take me as he is pall-bearer at the funeral. I need to go as today marks day 3 of bleeding and now I am not convinced I am not leaking amniotic fluid making the volume I am loosing look more then perhaps it is. The toilet water this morning was heavily blood stained. Bub is moving around and I am not actively bleeding. More like something is pooling in the vagina and tend to drain out when I sit on the toilet. I expect the Ob today will want to intervene or at least make a plan to intervene. Just need to last 48more hours so MIL ****es off home.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Is there a neighbor or friend you could ask to drive you? I agree it sounds like you need checking over.
As far as the stress deep breaths deep breaths.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Oh Mildez......... sweetie not only are you heavily pregnant over summer, it's also Christmas, and you have MIL and SIL to deal with on top of everything! I would be going bonkers too. Poor form on your MIL, shame on her. I am sorry that you feel so unsupported. A pregnant woman is a godess .... doesn't feel like it does it?
Whether you look a wreck or not..... drive to the Obs.... please? I know it's hard and super inconvenient but please just do it. The combination of things needs to be looked at.
And maybe some relief from being at home would be good? Is there anyone who can mind the kids, so you can go alone? I know going alone isn't fun, but it seems that's going to be the situation and it seems being solo would be more soothing for your soul anyway.
Please go.... go now.
Cough seems like it's developing into bronchitis, so probably back on AB's.... but it's not yet at the stage of being a chest infection. If I go to the Dr now, past experience tells me, there will be nothing there, but there will be in a day or so. Seems to be the way my chest infections progress. So for now just puffers.
Moeve... congrats lovely. Hope you have a text book boring pregnancy all the way to term.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Sorry for the lack of personals. Currently in hospital with an APH. Just want them to do something but as baby is stable on monitor they are taking the wait and see approach. OT is busy and labour ward is full. Whilst we are both stable they don't want to risk doing anything to cause a crisis due to skeletal staff available.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Sorry for my ignorance but what is APH?
Keeping everything crossed that it all goes smoothly and stress free from here for you Mildez. Thinking of you
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez....glad you went in and that things are stable. Hope you are holding your bubba in your arms soon.
Mumma T...it's great you don't know...it's a bleed. Just can't think of the exact words. Be back in a sec. The middies said I had one but technically they are after 20 weeks.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
I thought it was this....antepartum haemorrage...usual causes placenta praevia or abruption but not the only causes. And usually from 24 weeks, though some say 20 weeks....any bleeding from the vagina. So hospital is the best place to be.
Mildez....apparently if you are a cardiac patient there are better outcomes whilst hospitals are on skeleton staff.....so hoping that better outcomes apply to maternity wards during skeleton staffing.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Thanks Dory.
Oh and welcome to the thread Joeve, technically I'm stalking, I just am not very quiet about it oops haha
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez.....hoping you are holding your precious baby and enjoying some newborn snuggles. Much love and strength.
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Thank you all for the well wishes. We are delighted to let you know our little man arrived yesterday evening. A few complications but nothing to complain about :) he is just lovely. Both in shock about the gender not that we knew. I'll be back later when I am home. Pretty exhausted and dizzy from the heavy blood loss.
