SammyP So sorry this happened to you again. It's not fair.

Poor WTH. Hope you're feeling better and the congestion clears up. I know that can be miserable. Oh, and my mum always made me stick my head over a pot of boiling water (no longer on heat) with a towel over my head. I'm not sure what that did, but it usually made me feel better. And then splashed cold water over the face to make your skin tingle.

    Hope everyone's well.. xoxo

Sammy I am sorry to hear about what has happened
My story is I have had 2 early losses in the past 12months (both 5weeks)
My concern is I had my HCG done yesterday (I think I am 16DPO today) and it was 68. They said that was low. Just wondering if anyone has had low HCG levels and had a term healthy pregnancy. I am really worried and for a sticky baby. I know that its the rising that counts but the wait for another BT is doing my head in.
    Sorry to gate crash.

Emmy my HCG was very high 1400 at 2 weeks and I had a mc, the doctor said it's not the number but the way it climbs that matters it should double or tripple every week. I'm sorry for your losses.
    When's your next test?
    Oh and welcome

ATM much better day today. Had a boomer of a weekend, got engaged can't believe it. DP is so cute, handed it to me over the ute seat blushing. We told friends and had a really relaxing time (long over due).

Work is up and down yesterday was testing and it rattled through my head all night which sucked big time but today it's calm no big hassles pretty cruzy. Who knows is it the unverse or my hormones? or Both
    Have a great day all.

    Sammy
    - I was really hoping this wasn't so. And staying in the hospital all that time must have been so hard I am unsure of your age, but maybe (when you feel you are ready) you might need to run some BT's to see if something is going on? Again, so very sorry. Look after yourself, hun

    Pash - thanx! x

Emmy - - you are not gate crashing! Yes, a lady named "megsmum" reported low hcg at the beginning of her (IVF) PG. She had a little girl last week . Maybe check some of her previous posts for more detail? Are you certain you are 16 dpo? You are right, it is the doubling that counts. When is your next BT? My IVF clinic does BT's at 16 dpo and HCG over 30 is considered a PG. Hope that helps to put your mind at ease.

AFM - still got a persistent cough and the lovely sinus business going on. I emailed my OB and he wants me to stick to Panadol. Been on Lemsips/Panadols for more than a week now. Hope that's not a problem.

I am going to the Dr today to get a repeat. I will either go tomorrow as it will be 48hrs or try and go a on thursday morning which will be almost 70hrs later. I am lucky that the place I have it done only takes about 2hrs to have the results. I just really hope they are rising. I had them done at 15DPO. I didn't think I was less due to when I had a temp rise but its certainly possible depending on if you can ovulate after a temp rise. Ill go to the dr soon and see what he says as he also did tests early August to see if I was ovulating so maybe they can tell me when it happened. Thanks for your replys.

    Hi lovely ladies,

Emmy83: best of luck for your tests over the next couple of days

Hi to all the other ladies on this thread. Sorry not much time for persies today.

AFM: Well had my first ob appt yesterday, saw the heartbeat. Nearly started crying when it was first detected- silly I know. I was so nervous before my appt, that my ob decided to do the US before taking my BP. BP was still 140/60 when he did take it, he wasn't so concerned about it as the bottom measurement was fine, he said the top measurement is more likely to be elevated due to anxiety. I was certainly anxious. I had loads of cysts on my ovaries, more than when I had a pelvic US the month before we got our BFP. Ob suggested that it could be due to the changes in hormone levels, but we will have to monitor them. Does anyone else have PCOS with their pg? Apart from that he was happy enough not to see me again until 13 weeks, so I guess pretty good news.

Love to all and I will do some persies later.

    Cheers

Josh'smum - I have pcos but I havent been told I still have cysts whilst pregnant. Maybe I have but I wouldn't know. It wasn't silly to be nearly in tears when seeing the heartbeat. Its a very emotional time!

Emmy - Welcome to the thread, I wish you all the best in this pregnancy! I would get another HCG test as soon as possible just to ease you mind, I was at my docs every 2-3 days for the first 3 weeks!

Thanks ladies. I am feeling anxious due to my past two m/c but I am this will be a happy ending meaning Ill get my baby at the end of it.

I saw the Dr who gave me the referal for repeat bloods. She told me not to have it till 72hours which is Thursday Lunch time. All I can say is thank God I can get the results that day asanother few days on top of Thursday to get the results would not help. Sorry for my anxiety. I hope it eases as soon as I see the numbers rising and if not

HI girls. Lovely to see all the new faces in here. I feel really slack about not posting much but it is SOOO hard to get on the computer these days

SammyP - Just wanted to say how so, so sorry I am for your recent loss. Its just so horrible to have this happen anytime, let alone repeatedly. I hope you are being looked after

Zstar - yipee at great scan and seeing your bouncing bean. I would take the scan date rather than your last period. They are pretty accurate at that early gestation and your ovulation date can be quite variable

Josh'smum - yay for you too at seeing a little HB. SUCH a reassuring sign. Hopefully all continues on smoothly from here on

erybery - wow 32 weeks. Getting closer to the finish line now

Easha - hoping you are ok after the other day

Pash - good to see all going werll for you

greenslw - HUge CONGRATS on your engagement. How sweet of your DP!

WTH - hey buddy. Glad your pg is all going to plan. Its amazing that we will both have these precious babies in our arms fairly soon. Yuk for the sinus issues. I have had two bad bouts this pg and I must say, the thing that helped most was acupuncture. I was there for just routine pg wellbeing stuff but asked her to treat the sinus both times and within a couple of days was feeling much better both times.

emmy - best of luck with BT on thurs. I remember that waiting only to well. Every day for the first few weeks really is agony but you will get through it!

AFM - All is going along ok although typical for me, nothing is ever simple. We have attempted the 4d scan a record breaking 3 times with NO success. Not even one picture of our little princess. Face has been hidden every time by cord, feet, hands etc! Quite disapointed given this was my birthday pressie and supposedly meant to be something "nice" for this highly traumatic pg. Anyway, guess we just have a very stubborn baby. Coming from this scan however, some concern over my amniotic fluid level. The scan is totally NON medical but she did mention it and I hae enough knowledge to have noticed myself. OB is sending me for a proper scan next week to check everything. If bub an ok size then will probably just need monitoring so hoping this is the case. Otherwise she will still have to come out early.
MOvements have been pretty good whichc is what I am supposed to be watching out for so not to worried at this stage

I did purchase a wig finally, thanks ladies! Looks pretty natural, certainly to those who don't know me so feeling a bit better about stepping out now!

Emmy Welcome to the thread. I hope Thursday flies by and you get wonderful news.

Greenslw Congratulations!!! That is wonderful news. DP does sound so sweet, and you sound really happy

Josh's mum Yay on seeing the heartbeat. It's a wonderful moment. Don't worry, I cried too (bawled actually, and at the second one too).

Meredith Wow, this little one is taking camera shy to a whole new level! Still, you may have gotten a good bday pressie after all if the latest scan showed low amniotic fluid levels. You may not have known otherwise. Hope that sorts itself out and that the placenta makes some more fluid. Glad you feel more comfortable with the new wig.

AFM Not much new to report. I am really excited though. My friend in Qld just had a baby girl, and she is just adorable. I don't know when I'll get to meet her, but I hope it's soon. It's just wonderful knowing that they've started on this life changing journey and are loving it. And I'm selfishly a little bit excited to hopefully have a new home some time this year, and to meet monkey too.

Oh and DH is just being so wonderful, supportive and loving. He always is, but seems even more so now. I've been taking the p1ss out of him cos I read that the dad's testosterone levels drop during pg and are the lowest when the baby is born. And apparently the lower the levels, the more the dad is likely to be hands on.

Emmy - Welcome. Goodluck with the BT results tomorrow. I know its easier said than done but try to focus on each day as it comes - beyond that there's not much we can do

greenslw - Congratulations on your engagement. Fantastic news!

WTH - I hope your sinus trouble eases soon.

josh'smum - So happy you got to see a heartbeat. Its not silly to cry...happy tears are good.

Meredith - It does seem as though you have a very stubborn girl...or maybe just a really shy one. Lots of movement is always good so I hope the amniotic fluid is okay by next week's scan. Getting a wig was definitely a good idea if you feel more confident leaving the house. I for one am glad you allowed yourself that well deserved expense.

pash - Lol at teasing your DH over testosterone levels. My DH has always been fantastic support too but seems more so now that I'm pregnant. He's especially more patient with me when all I want to do is veg out on the couch, and even started sleeping in another room while he had a cold and his snoring was unbearable. Thanks for sharing that info 'cause now I can tease him about his hormones too.

AFM - Not much to report. Everything is ticking along and I'm getting lots of movement now despite having an anterior placenta. Have been buying a few small things for the baby. Not getting carried away with big stuff just yet as we're still working on clearing out the nursery so don't have anywhere to put anything.
