Hi girls. I haven't posted on BB for awhile and I hope you don't mind me joining in on this thread. I have followed some of your posts and the support and advice you give eachother is wonderful. Just quickly, I am nearly 26 weeks pregnant, having previously had 2 miscarriages. I also have a DS who is 3 years old.
TinaR- I wish you all the luck with this pregnancy. I know and understand your fears and concerns well. I found out I was pregnant this time around at 4 weeks, and have had tummy cramps and backache on and off for most of the way through so far. The early weeks were very scary, as I always associate this type of pain with a miscarriage.
Although this pregnancy has been more worrying and stressful, I have had alot of reassurance from my obstetrician and midwives. Also, having regular ultrasounds has deinatley put my mind at ease. I wanted to let you know that these types of pain can be absolutley normal.I hope everything goes well for you. It sounds as if you have a wonderful supportive midwife to talk to. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I had the results of my 2nd BT today and Friday I was 140 but by Monday was 550!! At the doubling rate that is Tuesdays amount so I'm well and truly up there! I'm so excited by it all and feel really ok about this one.
Mum let it slip to her boss! ran into her workroom to grab her bag and her boss wanted to talk - she said, gotta be quick, I've got to get kfc, tina's got cravings. LOL, I just wanted some junk food. She's told two people now, hoping that is all until first week of November when we start telling people. She does try - just lets it slip out lol,
I can't talk - I've randomly told about 5 people...kick myself afterwards but cant help it
Karen Van wow you are so close now so exciting and a homebirth how wonderful Hope your last couple of weeks are really relaxing for the joy to come.

ATM had my scan Monday was good mum was really supportive, it took ages! 45 minutes, got a couple of cool pics and a CD but it only has a pic of my plecenta and a hand on it! wanted more!
OB said all is going well, my pleceta is a little low but nothing to worry about I'll have another scan at 34 weeks wich will be really comfortable NOT! but on a cool note I heard baby's Heartbeat today for the first time, almost cried but didn't.
I'm feeling ok, really achy at night and not coping with sleeping on my sides, 2 hours turn 2 hours turn, toilet. But I'm going to book in to the physio asap.
Baby is a booter, love feeling the little but increasingly strong kicks.
WTH - Girdle is a little uncomfy and has not helped yet. Yay for washing baby clothes it does start to get you excited.
Karen Van - Good for you having a home birth, looks like we are just waiting it out now.
TinaR - Congratulations! i too sometimes lurk in the ttc thread so was pleased to hear your news. Good results too.
Meredith - Glad things are going well for you still and you are getting lots of movements.
Kath26 - Welcome and congratulatons on reaching 26 weeks
Greenslw - Glad things went well at your scan and you got to hear bubs HB, With you on the sleeping on your sides seem to be turning every hour or so too.

AFM - Well have had my scan and yay little man has turned,so i get to wait and have my Vbac. I am so pleased. it was so strange as being nearly 37 weeks couldnt really make out much on scan. They did say he was about 7lb 3 now though.
Congratulations TinaR and Kath - it is lovely to meet you and you both sound like things are well on track!!
Many thanks to the kind thoughts about our homebirth - I get so used to hostility and some really interesting views on it (isn't that illegal, aren't you killing your baby...) that it always comes as a wonderful surprise when people are a little more accepting or even positive about it as a choice. We had one with our first daughter so we're a bit more organised this time. The only downside is that you tend to be a bit more persnicky with the house as it will be your birthing space ('I need that wall blue NOW"....) - so still trying to zen out a little more at the moment!
Good to hear you had a beautiful scan Greenslw - they can be a real hoot sometimes - IKWYM about how long they can go though - we had to have two goes at the 20 wk one and the first one was 50 mins - bub was not impressed and kicked up a storm...
Meredith - I echo Flowerchild's sentiments - you have done such amazing things with this pregnancy and it will be hard for me not to cry when you have this little one in your arms - it has been a hell of a journey and you have more than done it justice
Chappas - how wonderful that your little one is coming to the party - I so hope you get your VBAC sweeting - I have my fingers crossed bub will stay in a good position and help you out!!!

AFM - vegie garden is almost in! Compost bin is set up - poor lame bull terrier seems to be recovering with steriod treatment - toddler is vacillating between being such a fiercely independent little person and a very uncertain, freaked out bubba girl (my heart has to go out to her) and I have bought a killer water-saver shower head which detaches with strong pressure for the birth - more baby clothes to sort and wash - - guess how much of my pregnancy journal I have filled in this time....
Karen - definately have the waddle going.... feeling quite penguin like at the moment. Yay for the vegie garden and the saving attempts. We are also trying some cost saving things through eating at home more and having no life really much to DH disgust.
Tina - welcome and congrats on the rising HCG levels. Unfortunately the anxiety wont disappear for some time only lessen as the pregnancy continues. Stay positive that this time your bub will go all the way.
Greenslw - i wrote photos next to your name as a prompt but baby brain has not subsided and I can remember why - just read the posts - a hand only is not real good. we also have a few interesting shots that mean very little to us.
Chappas - yay for a turned baby and it seem both our babies are the same size I have also been tole my bub is 3-3.5kgs which is the same as 7 plds. Ouch - now to get it out.
AFM - full term now - with 14 days until due date. BP has gone back to pre-pregnancy range which is awesome. Cot has one more coat to go and there is a few more pieces of furniture to go - feeding chairs etc etc and then were done. Cant believe am going to meet my bub very very soon.
Chappas looks like you're little man will be right on size. Well done
Karen Van oh a vegie garden I'm gelous. My dog keep digging up my flowers so no vegies unless I electrify them. Happy sorting.
Esha how very very exciting. Glad I'm not the only one who scratched my head at a lot of the pics.
ATM: just doing my final exam with one class, only 5/10 showed up! oh well not my issue. I had a beautiful massage this morning and feel pretty good. Going to the physio on monday to make sure my hips don't get any worse.
Work but I'm not going there until Monday. I have 2 jobs teaching is fine, easy and I can do what I want and I manage a youth shelter and my staff are behaving like your Toddler Karen Van. Oh well Monday will come soon enough.
Greenslw: I completely agree, work . but it's a necessary evil for some of us! I've got my normal job that pays the bills and my business that I am trying to get up and going...maybe treat your workers like a tantrumy toddler - put them in time out
Easha: Lucky you, I can't wait to have only two weeks to go! You sound like you have nearly everything done...got the bag packed waiting by the door?
KarenVan: I really like the idea of a homebirth...its not possible for me atm but I think if it is safe for you then go for it!!

WTH: hows the cough? cleared up yet? I've just got a mild cold with a cough...can't take anything which normally wouldn't faze me cause I rarely use medicines but not being allowed to means I wish I could lol

AFM - I've been getting those niggling pains, they are not very bad and not very often so I am certain the are the normal ones we are supposed to have but of course being into the 5th week I am starting to stress. I have my ultrasound this Thursday which I should be 6wks for, dates are all correct and they find a heartbeat.
This preg is different, hcg levels are higher, I get waves of nausea once in a while and I'm exhausted - even when I first wake up, plus I'm peeing like its an olympic sport. its noticible apparently that I eat more and am tired cause people at work commented to me during last week
