LoL Smallfryplus - Yeah it was a pretty productive day.. With the weather as nice as it is, I'm planning on a bit of washing today. In the labour department, still cramping, still getting pain - though now it's going from the middle of my back to the tailbone, with the tailbone included - but nothing in the sense of a show, a plug or waters breaking... I was planning on having a nice bath, but my MIL said she'd be here just before 12 to drop off my sewing machine that she got fixed for me so I'll have to wait until she goes (and I dunno what time that'll be)

I had no waters break with either of mine. They had to be done for me. Show was about a week before going into labour but it sounds like you're heading that way with all those pains.

As for me, cooking a birthday cake for DD1 while watching Hannah Montanna with DD2 (and why does that song "It's the Climb" always make me cry?!!? I so hope it's to do with preg hormones!)

Happy weekend all Back on Monday... or maybe later tonight if I have time!!

ps. hope we see at least one birth announcement!

Smallfryplus no fords on the work list. but thanks for the recomendation, I think we'll go a subaru forester. I want white DF wants Blue, toss a coin. Well done on your bargains too.

Meredith glad Holly and you are doing well

Josh'smum hope the results come soon for you

    Hi Chappas how's things going?

zstar I also hope your results come soon

ATM been a nice day at home, gotta love day off, although I seemed to be washing all day. Is it a wives tale or truth about not hanging washing after a certain stage? need to do some research.

I'm finding I"m making alot of old lady noises as I go in and out of the car, bend or anything requiriing some energy. The extra weight in front is starting to show and also cause some mild movement restrictions.

Well I made 3 weeks no physio but I'm back Thursday my body isn't doing things that it should and still needs a higher power.

Oh also Monday getting my pedicure FINALLY. NO CANCELATIONS!

    Have a great weekend all.

greenslw - hanging washing can be a problem with some women who are prone to M/C at certain times or (i think) who have an incompetent cervix. I was talking to the teacher's aid at my DD2's kinder the other day, she had several late M/C and was advised not to vacuum or hang washing or anything like that because of the risks from different types of activity. Mind you, we're going back 30+ years with that so advice could have changed since then.

zstar, josh'smum, no dramas since the amnio? Hope you're both doing well. Zstar, when do your results come back?

its a boy and he is fine! i got the big phone call at 5:45pm friday night from my ob after me ringing the amnio place at 4:50pm just before they closed to be told the 'results lady' had gone home. anyway, all done and dusted now. it has taken me until today to feel 'normal' about everything again. it has been a long road since the scan at 12 weeks and now we can relax and get on with it. i know its not over until bub is in my arms but as i said to josh'smum we are off to a good start! had a bit of cramping late the day of the amnio and no probs since. dh has been wonderful and looking after me.

thanks to you all for your thoughts and for thinking of me. it has helped me so much. you are all priceless! so glad its over smallfryplus!

lizjessie - now that is what i would call nesting!

    greenslw - enjoy that pedi!

big hi to everyone else. still waiting on these birth announcements....where are the bubbas???? come on!

Lizjessie - Hope things start for you soon, sounds like it will. I had the same symptoms the week before my waters broke so

Smallfryplus - Sounds like preg hormones to me, hope your DD enjoys her birthday cake.

Greenslw - Not heard the one about hanging out washing, enjoy your weekend

Zstar - Really pleased to hear that bubs is fine and that you are having a little boy. Glad DH is taking good care of you

WTH - CONGRATULATIONS again on the birth of your little man. Take it easy after your emergency c section, know how hard it is having had one with DD

Erybery - Hope you and baby are well, it can be so hard when you are sleep deprived.

AFM - Daniel is doing really well, cant believe he is coming up 6 weeks already.

    Love Tracy

CONGRATS WTH!!!! So pleased you have your baby boy now I hope the recovery isn't too difficult for you.

Erybery, little Ella learns quickly that sleep is "when mummy recharges so that she's more fun"!! Sometimes it's hard, hope DH is helping you lots and lots.

zstar - a boy! great news so much fun when you know what it's going to be! Now to get down to the business of naming....! I'm really pleased to hear that everything has come back so positively for you.

greenslw - gp the pedi! Enjoy it lots today. I had a massage the other day and ended up with bruised biceps - literally. Felt good at the time. Bummer about no fords on the list. Having said that, my car freak DH loves the subaru forester (especially with a turbo...) and was considering getting one recently til he decided to get a cheapie car since he hardly drives anyway (work is 4km from home). Good luck with it! I love getting new cars, it's fun!

AFM - busy weekend with MIL visiting from interstate for part of it and two birthday parties for DD1 who turned seven(!!) yesterday. Much fun had by all.

    Hi there

Just checking in to let you all know things are going wonderfully. Yes, I am still sore and yes, DH and I are completely sleep-deprived (we have a little guzzle-guts on our hands who often demands two-hourly feeds). AND - WE ARE BLISSFULLY HAPPY!!!

Thanks so much to all of you for your kind posts following my BA. It made me feel very special that so many people care and understand what a journey this has been for DH, DD and I.

I will continue to check in - I can't wait for you all to make it to the finish-line :

    Luv WTH

Wow, I didn't realise how long its been since I've posted (of course I'm always lurking and thinking of you all).

    WTH
    - Congratulations again on the birth of your prince! I am so happy he is finally in your arms and that you and he are doing well. Enjoy your babymoon.

zstar - Glad everything went well with the amnio and that your little boy is healthy.

LizJessie - If that's not nesting, I don't know what is! Wow! Can't be too far away now.

greenslw - I haven't heard about not hanging washing either. I hear you on the old lady noises - my joints always feel stiff after sitting down in the evenings, even if its only for a few minutes. Hope you enjoyed your pedicure.

erybery - Hopefully you and Ella will find your routine soon. I hope you're both well. Thanks for sharing your birth story.

chappas - 6 weeks already! Glad you and Daniel are doing well.

smallfryplus - Happy birthday to DD1 for the other day. Glad she enjoyed her day.

    to everyone else

    AFM
    - I spent a few days in Melbourne over the weekend. DH is turning 30 in a couple of weeks so I arranged for him to drive a V8 supercar while we were there. He LOVED it! After his drive, his instructor (who is a professional driver) drove him around for a few laps. I think DH was a little disappointed to learn what the car was capable of AFTER he'd already driven it We also did heaps of walking which was tiring, but it felt good to be active. DH (who is 6'4 with a long stride) had to learn pretty quickly to slow down for me as I can't walk at my usual brisk pace. I think I ended up having a nanna nap every afternoon so I'd have enough energy to get through the evenings.

Early last week, I was pretty sure I felt bubs drop. I mentioned it to my midwife at my appointment last wednesday and she confirmed that she is 2-3/5 engaged but its still early enough for her to move her head up and down yet. Phew! It took me by surprise and had me a little worried for a while there.

I didn't realise how much I needed the time off until I got home on Monday. I feel so much more relaxed about this pregnancy. Before leaving, I was so worried about going into labour early or something going wrong (especially with bubs dropping a few days before we left). I guess I thought that if something was going to happen, it would've been while I was interstate. Nothing happened and now I feel more able focus on getting all the work done that I need to before I finish next week.

Ok, better get back to work.

Wow Hannah - cannot believe how close you are getting. That is so wonderful and glad you are feeling more relaxed.

LizJessie - any news yet? Have been checking in daily to see your news

WTH - glad you are going well with your little Prince - understand the sleep deprivation but it is so worth it isn't it - I am amazed how well I am functioning on so little sleep (mind you haven't done any house cleaning for three weeks - maybe this weekend?!)

zstar - glad the appointment went well and things are on track - that is good news

erybery - how is your little princess - has she been sleeping and settling a bit better? Hope you are getting some sleep yourself and are enjoying being a mum.

to smallfryplus, chappas (and Daniel), Megsmum (and Emma), Meredith (and your precious bundle), greenslw, starangel, and everyone else I have missed.

AFM: Molly going well - I have been a bit slow getting to understand all her cues - so have had some periods of her being very cranky and unsettled (which is distressing for me too as feel bad that I cannot work out how to make her feel better) - but last night we were totally in sync and had no crying. (up three times for feeds but very pleasant). Still cannot believe I now have a daughter and am a mum - feeling so so lucky.

Big congrats LizJessie on the arrival of your little man and WTH again too of course Will be in touch with you soon....

Smallfryplus 4kms from home, that's not fair! although I'm only 10 but have so many meetings in town I do 500-1000kms a week Hope MIL visit went well

EryBery so good that things did work out

WTH love to hear you are still happy on no sleep. there is hope for me too.

HannahD i hope DH loves his gift, my DP would love love love it. Wow you felt bubs drop. That would have been different.

babymiracles glad all is going well with Molly Rose

ATM so tired. I'm at work and just want to go home, I have a friends birthday tonight and I don't really want to go. I want sleep.
My peddie was wonderful and I had a bit of a slack week. I got a teaching job for next year which is good and I'm feeling less freaked out re money.
Next week is going to be nutz. I have a meeting every day and will be run off my feet. I guess I need to take the time off when I can.

    have a good weekend all

    Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Anyone out there???
WOW, it sure is quiet in here. Hope it is because all you mummies-to-be be are taking things super easy and putting your feet up (or perhaps the nesting urge is really kicking in for some of you LOL).

Greenslw - hope you survived your nutty week and are able to catch up on some much needed Zzzz

Megsmum - "hi" and "hugs" heading your way, cyber sista

Babymiracles - yep, I also have the housework on the backburner. I am very lucky that DH is being incredibly helpful with DD - he's taking a decent break from work while I recover (slower than I would like to) from my CS. Well-done on the settled, cry-free night - can't wait to have one LOL

Hannah - so have you finished work now? If so - YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE Sounds like Melbourne was a great break. Enjoy the final weeks of your PG. Are you walking like a penguin yet, now that you have dropped ???

Erybery - 17 hours - EEEEK! Our little one seems to have developed colic (which we also had at this stage with DD), but we have not managed a marathon quite that long. Hope things have settled a bit more for you. If you have any magic remedies - do share!

Smallfryplus - Bruised biceps? That must have been one intense massage!

Chappas - how's it all going with your little man? Hope you are getting lots of gorgeous smiles

Zstar - great to read your ob appointment went well and that you are able to get back to normal activity (and finally enjoy the rest of your pregnancy)

Meredith - HOW YOU DOING??? X

    to everyone else

AFM - DS is doing fine, though he is pretty restless and quite the guzzleguts LOL. BF is much easier second-time around, at least. He's calling for me now so catch up soon!
