hi all
i still have the brown discharge. waiting on my blood test results. should have them soon i hope. i can't comphrend that this could be happening to me again. my morning sickness has died off a bit. still have a headache so that is a positive. i know heaps of people get spotting and so on and go on to have healthy babies. having had a m/c is just scares that crap out of you. trying to stay calm and stay positive. we just had morning tea at work for a guy's bday and he announced his wife is 13 weeks pg so i ate 2 pieces of choc mud cake and now i feel sick. Oh well, gives me something else to think about!

Z star and Emmy: praying for some great news for you. I hope that all is ok for both of you.
Greenslw: Congratulations on the engagement. Very exciting time for you and DP.
Megsmum: Congratulations on the safe arrival of bub.
Erybery: I'm interested to know if your ob is treating your PCOS whilst you are pregnant. My ob said that it only really causes issues conceiving, although I have seen on other sites (the internet can be a dangerous thing) that other ladies with PCOS have progesterone tablets or creams and some even take metformin. I trust him, as he was the one I was seeing when I had my mc and delievered DS but I was just curious.
Meredith: Here's hoping that bub isn't as shy about making her appearance to the world as she is with the camera.
Hannah: Fetal movements are the best. I can't wait to feel mine this time around.
Hi to all the other ladies on this thread.
AFM: Have been struggling a little bit with ms this week. Very tough with a 2 1/2 year old that just wants to play at the park or climb all over mum. I haven't been vomiting much just feeling nauseous. I'm not complaining, I wouldn't dare. I was a little better yesterday, which worried me, but terrible again today so I'm relieved.
-
Unfortunately my news wasn't good so I will be leaving this thread. Wishing you all the very best.
-
Emmy83 - I am so sorry this has happened. Big hugs I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better. xox
Josh's mum - My ob hasn't mentioned PCOS since I asked him if It was what caused my MC and he said it may have been my hormones related to this but we would never know. I was on clomid to conceive this bub and it worked first go. I wasn';t on any treatment for PCOS before as I only discovred I had it after coming off the pill (was on it to control endo). I know I wasn't given metformin because Im not actually insulin resistant. I have found that my hormones are at there best whilst Im pregnant as it has cleared my skin up and my hair growth (my mo) has slowed aswell! and I've only put on 9 kilos since being pregnant so PCOS hasn't affected me whilst pregnant.
However, I have heard of people taking progesterone pessaries with PCOS to help support the pregnancy hormones. I think different Doc's believe different things! I wish you all the best for a healthy pregnancy!
-
Emmy, I am so sorry you are going through this again :comfort: Give yourself time to grieve and heal. My thoughts and prayers are with you and DP.
-
Emmy - I am truly sorry to read that things have not worked out and you are leaving us. I hope we see you back here very soon. Take care, hun :comfort:
Zstar - my :crossfingers: are for you. It is important that the colour is brown - that is what I had at 6.5 weeks with DD. BTW - I would have eaten two pieces of mudcake, too! :goodluck: with your BT result.
Greenslw - am I rude or what!? SORRY to have missed your engagement "announcement" - looks like 2009 is turning out to be a very special year for you
Babymiracles - good luck with the moving. Hope it is not too stressful for you and that you enjoy setting up the nursery ;)
Megsmum - "mwah" for you and bubs
:hello: to everyone else
-
Emmy and SammyP - I am so very sorry to hear about your bad news  It is just not fair is it? :( Please take care and try to stay positive - you will hold your baby not too far away. Makes you wonder why some of us have to face so many hurdles though :(
zstar - I had 2 lots of brown spotting this pg, one at 6.5 wks and another at about 8 weeks I think it was. Of course it freaked me out because my last m/c was discovered after a bit of brown spotting. But it does not necessarily mean the worst although I totally understand the worry. My m/s also came and went too. Hang in there and hope you get some good BT resullts.
:hello: everyone else

Hi All,
I know I have been missing lately, been so busy finalising things at work and then coming home and sleeping.
Megsmum - congrats on baby Emma - just love that name.
Sorry to you ladies that are having a rough time.... when you have your baby all the pain will go away.
AFM - 1 day of work to go - woot, woot !!! So excited. I also have my baby shower Sunday and finally I am starting to prepare for the little one. So much to do though.
Doc has concerns cause the BP continues to increase so will focus on rest and more rest.
Just wanted to pop in and say hi to you all. Hopefully will have more time for persies when I have finished work.
Hugs
-
Sammy and Emmy I am so sorry to read of your loss - my thoughts are with you and I hope you are both as okay as you can be at this time
Greenslw - congrats on your engagement! Very exciting!
I'm sorry for no more personals, I'm really tired and forgetful tonight.
AFM, ticking along slowly, had our first OB appt this afternoon with our new OB and he seemed lovely, very reassuring and ticked all the boxes for us. Had a quick look at 'spud' too and heart is still beating and measuring correct for dates. I'm happy, but still not really excited yet. I'm in such a weird headspace it's hard to explain, I'm just hoping the fear of something going wrong starts to diminish when we get past 12 weeks.
Hope everyone is well :D
-
AFM - All is going along ok although typical for me, nothing is ever simple. We have attempted the 4d scan a record breaking 3 times with NO success. Not even one picture of our little princess. Face has been hidden every time by cord, feet, hands etc! Quite disapointed given this was my birthday pressie and supposedly meant to be something "nice" for this highly traumatic pg. Anyway, guess we just have a very stubborn baby. Coming from this scan however, some concern over my amniotic fluid level. The scan is totally NON medical but she did mention it and I hae enough knowledge to have noticed myself. OB is sending me for a proper scan next week to check everything. If bub an ok size then will probably just need monitoring so hoping this is the case. Otherwise she will still have to come out early. MOvements have been pretty good whichc is what I am supposed to be watching out for so not to worried at this stage.
Meredith - had not mean't to miss posting to you yesterday. I agree with what Pash said about the 4D scan saga possibly being a good birthday pressie afterall. Would love to call it divine intervention, but coincidence or not, your "stubborn" bubba has let you know about the low amniotic fluid levels. What a clever princess! :D I remember reading in the past that some women get fluid injections to keep things going in the last trimester, so certainly is something that can be helped ;) GL with your scan :goodluck:
-
emmy83 - i am so sorry this is happening to you again. i can't imagine how you feel. it must be such a shock. you take care of yourself and hang in there. we can't give up. all this pain will be worth it when we are holding our little babies. be kind to yourself and i hope to see you back here very soon. you are in my thoughts and prayers.
human bean - good to hear all is going well with you. nice to get that first ob appointment out of the road. i to am hanging out for 12 weeks to take a bit of load off.
megsmum - thanks for your words. it sounds exactly like me. it has given me comfort. thanks.
afm - i'm doing ok. the news of sammy and emmy has upset me terribly. i am so sad for them. i just can't imagine it happening again. you have to stay strong and have to be brave in this game. my blood tests came back fine. my brown stuff has backed off. now its just speckled little dots when i wipe myself sometimes. i have a headache and ms has returned. not to its fullest but it is back. so, hopefully im in the clear for now. i don't have another scan until 12 weeks for the down syndrome testing. if i'm anxious i will ring ob and have one sooner. i just keep thinking of the day i will have my own baby to love and care for and days like this will be a distant memory.
-
 Way to go, Zstar
-
Sammy and Emmy - So so sorry to hear of your loss, take care and take time to heal
WTH - Hope that your nasty sinus problems go away soon.
Meredith - Hope that you get your amniotic fluid levels can be sorted.
Megsmum - CONGRATULATIONS! again on the birth of your little princess, wonderful after such a hard journey.
Greenslw - CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement.
Erybery - Good luck with the move
Zstar - Glad that your bt came back ok and that your ms has returned
Hannah - Great that you are getting lots of movement.
Big :hello: to Pash,Joshsmum,Human bean,Easha and anyone else
AFM - Sorry have not been on much lately, been decorating. Everything still going well, have been a bit anemic and am having to go for physio for my pelvis. Going for a scan on 2nd to see if little one is still breech and they will decide if i need to have c section.
-
WTH hope you're feeling better soon.
Josh'smum how exciting for first OB app  I can't imagine what pg would be like with a 2.5 year old. Tired thinking about it.
MeredithD  sorry about no 4 d scan. I'm so happy you baught a wig, Good to look after yourself you are the most important person.
Pash cool info re Men and hormon levels. Funny DF is off "special cuddles" and I'm totally chaising. :D
HannahD good Idea to clean out first, I'm thinking the same thing, but it's hard not to spend.
HI megsmum glad all is going well with Emma :D
I'm sorry for you loss Emmy
Esha, so envious of one more day of work. Hope more rest = lower BP
Human Bean I think my dark cloud left around 12 weeks, not long to go. Glad OB went well.
zstar I'm glad you're spots are easing off and blood test came back possitive.
chappas how's the physio going? I see a massage therapist but thinking of physio
ATM: OB went well saw little one looks so human now. Still staying storng on not finding out. BP was great! 125/70 I have been getting heart flutters which was worrying me but all fine. Had my hair done which has lifted my mood. Feeling bubs all the time now, it's great. I go for my US on the 31st which is so soon very excited.
All is busy but working which is the main thing.
Thanks for all your congrats :grouphug: got my ring back today *right size* and I'm over the moon DF keeps looking at it too. Very cute.
-
Hope it is ok for me to indulge in a "me" post...
Happy to say the sinus has subsided, but I still have a nasty cough as a hangover from the heavy cold. I saw my ob yesterday. The baby is doing well - HB 145 bpm, good visible level of amniotic fluid and excellent cord flow. I have gained good weight and have nice BP.
But.... it would seem that bubs is low - very low. I have been told the baby will almost certainly come early and to pack my bags "NOW". Was not told when I might go into labour, though I have a growth-scan in two weeks time.
Panic-stations for DH and I. We had not dared get too ahead of ourselves with this PG - with our MC history it felt like we were tempting fate. So we are a bit unorganised (though of course there is less to do this time around than when I was PG with DD).
So I am now facing the knowledge I will now almost certainly be having an emergency CS, rather than making it to the elective CS. A friend of mine just had her first elective CS after two prior emergency CS. She said she couldn't believe how much better the recovery was. The other hard part is the idea that baby is quite possibly starting out with NICU. I'm just  I get to 34 weeks so I can have the baby where I live.
The other thing is I just can't stop coughing. I really want this cough to go as it would not help my stitches, etc after a CS. Being so low, it may also break my waters or bring on contractions. Had super-strong BH yesterday, but not so bad today.
Sorry to ramble - just trying to wrap my head around this bombshell. Could be worse, like I said, bubs and I are doing fine. I just thought I had a bit more time up my sleeve.
WTH x
-
Where's the hope -Hi my friend ... I was lurking hun and read your post. I was suffering last week with a cough and infection that would clear a room, and was really worried it was going to affect this cycle, I know hun, it's completly different to your situation, however I went to accupuncture, I layed on my tummy, hard for you to do,so you may need to sit up or something, I had needles put in the back of my neck, was rubbed with a gorgeous concoction of smelling things, and had some cupping to move the cough from my lungs, and did it work, TCM therapist said I would feel better that night, I did. Over the last 3 days I am left with a small amount of residual coughing, not the chest rattling cough I had earlier. HTH xx
Hi to everyone
-
WLAB - ain't you the sweetest  I think Meredith (?) also recommended accupuncture for my cold. Might see if I can get in. Wishing you all the best with this cycle :goodluck:
-
HI ladies. Just managing to check in again
WTH - Things just are not meant to be simple for some of us eh?! Good news that everything well with you and bubs but I can understand the panic at thinking you could have a premmie baby. I am still not really prepared for that even though we have been "warned" for months. Just wondering though, why does just have a "low" baby mean you could go any second? My DS was really low and I had him at 39weeks. This baby also low but have never been told that this fact alone could mean an early labour. Its been all about my other issues. I'm not trying to second guess your OB, just thought some babies were positioned naturally very low without it actually "meaning" anything.
Anyway, am praying your little one hangs in there for several weeks yet.... need some more cooking little one!
It was me who mentioned acupuncture - I hope you can get in soon and get some help for that cough
Emmy - I am so sorry to hear your news. Its just not fair to go through m/c again. My heart breaks for you and I hope you are getting the support you need
zstar - yay at good BT result and hope that discharge stays away. I have bled heavily in every one of my pgs, successful or not so it often doesn't mean anything really
megsmum - WOW what a quick arrival for little Emma... lucky you made it to the hospy! I am so happy for you and your family and hope you are enjoying every moment
Josh'smum - hope that m/s eases off in the coming weeks
Easha - hope you are resting up and keeping that BP down
Chappas - hope your baby turns soon. YOu wouldn't consider a vaginal delivery even if still breech? I had to change OBs but my DS came out bottom first the "natural" route with no probs at all.
greenslw - so glad things going well for you atm and you can enjoy the double joy of engagement and pg. A very special time for you and DF!
AFM - having growth scan/checking fluid levels tomorrow so hoping all at least ok to hold us out for a few more weeks yet. I really don't think baby is small given how much I have popped out so not overly worried at this stage. Like WTH, i am totally not prepared if she did decided to come early. I know I have had plenty of warning but haven't even thought about packing bags etc
-
Meredith - :hello: Thanks for the reassurance. My Ob said it all depends on what my cervix is doing, and he couldn't manage to see that on his monitor this time. As you know, I had cervical monitoring (due to previous 3rd & 4th degree tearing and multiple D&C's) until 24 weeks and all was ok then. He actually also commented on bubs being low at my last visit two weeks back, but he did not seem as concerned then. He told me when it is this low that (in his experience) babies come early, though there can be exceptions to the rule. Maybe I am just worrying about nothing . BTW GL with the scan :crossfingers:
-
WTH glad your nose is betta
MeredithD goodluck for tomorrow.
Feeling flat today. I have a employee who is going threw a personal crisis and wont tell me anything I know only 3rd hand. and she's not doing her job, so now I'm forced to confront her. I don't want to be a serious boss. It's not me!
Been feeling the baby heaps but can't sleep, uncomfortable to the max. I guess it doesn't get any better either
So my scan monday was going to be solo but I LOVE MY MUM she's comming cos DF is working. Would prefer DF but mum is a close second. :D much happier than before when I thought I was going Solo. 20wk scan is a little nerve racking.
Ok I'm a little ditzy today :grouphug: hope all the mum to be's are doing great.
-
wth - i hope your cough goes away and bub keeps cooking. sounds like accupunture could be the way to go!
greenslw - glad your mum can make the big 20 wk scan. boo hoo about your boss duties. i am no good at the yuck boss jobs either. hate it. good luck!
meredithD - good luck with your scan too!
human bean - glad your ob appt went well. i'm looking forward to 13 weeks - past the 12 week mark and nucal scan will be done too. bring it on.
josh's mum, sunny & lauren - hope all is going well for you.
big hi to everyone else.
afm - feeling good. m/s has eased off a bit. soooo happy. starting to feel normal again apart from the headaches and little bouts of sickness. trying not to wish the pg away but can't wait for 3 more weeks to pass. i think dh is more on edge than me with the whole thing.
-
WTH - hang in there sweetie - understand the worry though. Hoping baby hangs on till 34 weeks. Hope the nasty cough disappears very soon
Zstar - glad things are going okay. Hope the next three weeks just speeds by for u.
Meredith - how did your scan go today? Praying all is looking good - you have had such a difficult time, my wish for you is very smooth sailing from here on
Greenslw: good luck for scan on Monday and glad you have someone to go with you - good on mums! I know I was so nervous on the day so it is good to have some support.
:hello: to chappas, erybery, Megsmum (and emma of course), human bean, easha, chappas, Hannah D, and all the others I have missed (serious case of baby brain at the moment)
:comfort: to Emmy and Sammy - look after yourselves.
AFM: Got the keys today to my old house (which we are officially moving into in a couple of weeks) while we renovate my hubbies house. This means a busy few weeks of moving, sorting and best of all setting up nursery. Work girls put on a lovely baby shower for me the other day and got some very gorgeous clothes/toys etc - this bubba is going to be very spoiled and very well dressed. Had a scan last week and placenta in good spot (although anterior), fluid levels good and baby growing nicely. they still are pretty sure it is a little girl (hope so as have been getting lots of pink gifts for her!) Feeling pretty good, besides still being overly anxious (and then getting annoyed at myself!), have been getting sore back (in middle/upper back rather than low which is interesting), have put on a little too much weight (too many naughty treats and craving sweet things!) - but besides that all good and counting down the days. Cannot wait for bubs to be born nice and healthy - hopefully then the anxiety will lessen a bit and can enjoy being a mum.
:grouphug: for all
-
Hey all,
Going to attempt to write a post before the computer stuffs up - posted 3 times last night (attempted) and gave up.
To keep it short - good luck for those with upcoming scans - hope all goes well
WTH - hang in there only a few weeks to go before all is good. After everything you have been through you deserve an uneventful birth and a very healthy bub.
Meredith - hope all is well for you
Chappas - only a few weeks left for us - yayayayayay
AFM - work finished and spending time preparing the bub room and trying to rest. BP is holding steady and bub not yet engaged which is good cause still so much to do. Currently repainting a cot and have done 1000 loads of washing of all the bubs clothes.
Hi to all
now here goes the post - fingers crossed
-
-
Hey all, sorry haven't posted lately, just gtting sooo exhausted, hopefully finishing up work in 2-3 weeks!
Easha - I hear ya on washing bub's clothes! I love hanging them up, they are just so cute!
babymiracles - enjoy setting up the nursery, I just loved doing our bubs room. I know what ou mean about the anxiety and just wanting to enjoy being a mum. I thought I would be feeling less anxious at the moment since everything is looking good and all th probs in the past seem to be behind us but its been creeping up on me again! big hugs hun!
Zstar- glad to hear your feeling better! I love seeing your ticker moving along!
Greenslw - so glad you are feeling bubs move! I didnt feel mine till 22-23 weeks! and she still doesnt do really strong kicks even now!
WTH - does your bub feel low to you? I feel like mine had dropped in the last week and am going to ask my ob next week bout it.
Meredith - hope the growth/fluid scan went well! You are such a courageous woman and everytime I see you post I just think how brave you are!
AFM - bubs is feeling like she is in my pelvis now as that is where I am feeling the hiccups! really weird sensation. Hve been having cramping on lower right side of tummy and back, went to hosp last night and it did show I was having contractions but not regular. They told me to come back if it got any worse or became more regular! Its all happening girls, the count down is really on. Im extremely stressed one moment, then really excited. I just cant wait for bub to come to see that she is all right and nothing wrong with her after all the nuchal fluid scares early on! I bought my baby a set of pink overalls to wear home from the hosp, sooo cute!
Big hugs to EVERY incredibly brave and MEANT TO BE mummies! xox
-
Erybry; I do feel so blessed feeling baby atm. You're feeling hiccups! so amazing.Hope you're able to relax and get some stress relief.
Esha enjoy no work :D
Babymiracles yaya for new house keys. Glad work spoilt you and bubs to be. Such a wonderful time.
zstar it can be hard for DH's I think cos it's not happening to them, I'm sure they're glad of that come labor!
ATM it's 20C outside and I popped in to see my mum but she's out so I'm steeling her PC for a bit. I can smell all the wonderful spring flowers and It's making me feel so good.
DF felt bubs last night, it gave one all mighty kick when he had his hand on my belly :D so cool. Got weighed today and da da daaaaaa only another 400g. so that's a total of only 1KG now, I'm so proud.
Off to work for me, talk soon.
:grouphug:
-
Hi everyone,
Just dropping by to say hi to everyone and to finally attempt some persies!
Greenslw - GL for your scan on Mon, that is great that your Mum is going with you, Icould never go to a scan by myself. And yay for DF feeling bub kick, it is cool isn't it? Wow you have only put on 1kg have you? Cripes I'm still about 8 kg more than I want to be and I have had the baby LOL
erybery - Don't worry you will know when they are real contractions LOL No mistaking those! But I hope bub stays put for a bit for you - although I do understand the feeling of just wanting them to arrive so you know everything is OK too. Hang in there!
babymiracles - I'm so glad everything i s going well for you fishy friend! That scan sounds great, can't ask for much more can you? Take it easy with the house move - you'll be a mum now before you know it :)
Easha - Yay for finishing work! Have fun getting ready for bub, not long now!
Meredith - Thanks so much hun. I hope your scan went well, you have done so well to make it this far! At least bub will be safe now whenever she decides to arrive now. And I'm so glad to hear you have done the wig thing ;)
WTH - Will be in touch again soon ;) Hope that pesky cough has improved for you!
chappas - Glad to hear everything is going well :)
human bean - That is great that your ob appt went well :) GL with getting to 12 weeks, I know I felt better once I reached it - not totally relaxed, but better than before KWIM?
zstar - Glad to hear the m/s has improved, it is awful isn't it? Hope the spotting has eased up for you too
Hi everyone else - pash, HannahD, joshsmum, cantwaittobeamum, mollycat, mummytogirls and anyone else I might have missed. Hope you and your bubs are all well!
AFM, thanks so much everyone for your congratulations, Emma is going great. We had our first weigh since we left hospy today and she has put on 370g in just under 2 weeks little piggy she is LOL At least all the night feeds she is having are making a difference! She is still a little night owl and has about 4 feeds a night, but at least she resettles afterwards and I can get back to sleep. And she sleeps during the day so I can have a nap then too. I'm feeling pretty good too, apart from a bit tired. Have recovered well from the birth and the damage to my bbs has improved now that we are home and Emma is feeding well, so nothing really to complain about. Emma is worth it all anyway. And our cloth nappies are going well too Easha :)
Can't wait to see more bubs arriving in this thread really soon, it's very exciting
-
Yay, managed to get on here twice in 1 week!
WTH - hope you are feeling better and cough has eased. Here's hoping your baby's low position is only that and he/she hangs in awhile longer
Greenslw - yay for mums. Would be awful to go to scan alone. Even when everything is perfectly well, its nice to have someone to share the joy
zstar - glad you are feeling better. Hope you can enjoy the pg soon
\
babymiracles - Ooooh getting so close now. Its a very exciting time. Enjoy every moment!
Easha - Glad to see you at the nesting stage. Its really lovely organising baby things
erybery - Hope your bubs hangs in longer too! A few more weeks cooking would be ideal
Megsmum - so nice to see you back and womderful that Emma doing so well. You sound so happy... very well deserved!
AFM - scan went ok. "Upsy" is generally well but definitely on the small side. Overall measuring around 20th percentile but slight worry is that her abdominal circumference is 4 weeks behind - not even within percentiles - so seems very skinny. Could just be her or could be an early sign of the placenta packing up. Fluid levels are low but still within the "normal" realm. She is also very "low" although sonologist didn't think anything of this ( might interest you WTH!).Haven't spoken to my OBsince the scan but he left a msg wanting to see me again next week and discuss plan then. I know prior to scan he had said if bubs was tiny ( ie around 10th percentile) he would reccomend pulling her out early. Not really sure what he will say now but thinking/hoping may just mean some close monitoring at least for now.
I am not panicked given she seems otherwise ok but like WTH, having a bit of a freak out that i am not really prepared for a baby to be here so soon. Seems silly since we have been told for many mths to expect a possible premmie baby and have even had the steroids shots forher lungs..... just hadn't really sunk in!
-
Greenslw - Glad everything is going well. looking forward to news from your scan, good that you have your Mum going with you.
WTH - Glad your sinus problem has eased, hope you get rid of that nasty cold soon. Hope your little one hangs on in there for a few weeks yet.
Meredith - Glad your scan went ok and fluid levels are normal. Hope that next week goes well and they will monitor you. Consultant told me if bubs was breech i would have to have c/s because i had such a bad time when i had my emergency section with DD and he doesnt want to risk rupture.
Zstar - Glad m/s has eased
Babymiracles - Glad your scan went well and everything looks good, hope you gonna take it easy when moving.
Easha - Yay for finishing work, heres hoping our last few weeks go quickly.
Erybery - Glad things are moving along nicely for you.
Megsmum - Great to hear things are going well with little Emma and you are enjoying your time.
AFM - Had physio on Wednesday and they gave me a girdle (really attractive) if this does not help i have to go on crutches next week. Having my scan nxt Wed to see if bubs has turned, if not he may be arriving next week which is quite scary.
-
Hi All,
Erbery - yes the count down is on now...scary but exciting at the same time. Can believe I literally have less than 3 weeks left. Pink overalls sound gorgeous.
Greenslaw - yay for kicks, mine just feels like somersalts (spl??) are occurring now. complete tummy shifts which is very cool - although strangely enough my belly button is now sitting to the right and is no longer centered - anyone experience this??
Megsmum - Emma sounds perfect, yay for cloth nappies, mine are washed and ready to go although they still look quite big even on the smallest setting - ending up getting Baby beehinds.
Meredith - best of luck for your appt. Hopefully ob leaves bub in for now - is that not the best place for growth ???
Chappas - sorry to here your having alot of pain - hopefully the girdle works.
AFM - going to pack the hospital bag today and am painting the cot. My 6 year wedding anniversary is today to so will be nice pottering around the house with DH.
-
Oh my, I am behind on persies again.
Chappas - I don't have a girdle, just a brace. Can be a bit hot and uncomfy at times - is it the same for you? If your bubba comes next week you will have technically reached "term" (37 weeks), so your baby will be perfect when it comes:dance:. Hope you don't need crutches :crossfingers:
Meredith - yes, it is surprising how sonographer's opinions can differ to our ob's (and our Googling). I hope your baby continues to grow and can stay put a little longer :goodluck: I am slightly less panicky now - have packed some basics for hospital and a case for DD for when she stays at my parent's. DH and I finally had the name conversation last night. I had been dreading it as it was so hard agreeing on a name before DD. It actually went rather well :D
Megsmum - don't worry about emails - you are VERY busy! But am happy to read everything is going swimmingly for you and your little piglet LOL x
Greenslw - so glad to read how well everything is also going for you - you sound so happy :D
Erybery - bub definitely feels (and looks) low to me. I am going to the toilet at least five times a night! I don't know whether the baby has "dropped" or done something extra... Meanwhile - HOORAY - your countdown is on! Wishing you all the best, you deserve it. And the overalls sound very cute!
Easha - glad to read you have finished work and our now feathering your nest. Fun, isn't it!? HAPPY ANNIVERSARY X
Babymiracles - Thanx for your well-wishes. I hope all is going well with your renovating. I know what you mean about over-indulging. I have discovered White Kit Kats - the FAMILY-sized bar is not lasting two days at a time LOL
Zstar - glad the MS has eased. Not long to go until your scan - every day is a victory x
AFM - This wretched cough has continued to wreak havoc with me. It became so unbearably painful in my chest on Friday that I got squeezed into my GP as I was worried it was becoming a chest infection. He gave me a codeine drink to take for three nights (before it becomes addictive for me and bubs), but it hasn't really eased anything. Now the pain has moved to my back! So I probably have to head back in again early this week  On a positive note, I have been getting a lot more organised in case bubs comes early. Have been washing baby clothes, built the cot and DH is installing the capsule right now. Starting to get a bit excited...

OMG for anyone here who has ever felt a little guilty about not posting for a week or two - paste a bloody big smile on your face and enjoy the pain of this lapsed Catholic who hasn't been on since - 19 July - and has small essays handwritten in front of her at the moment...
Welcome to zstar and lauren22 as well as human bean, cantwaittobeamum and josh'smum - it is wonderful to see the evolution of the thread as new mummas-to-be join - hope everything goes well for you all! zstar - sorry to hear about the spotting - I can remember how paranoid I was for about the first 13 wks - if the constipation gets bad again - cheap, effective remedy is pear juice - if you can keep it down - it is also brilliant for the first b/m after birth too to keep things civilised and manageable. human bean - I remember feeling really ambivalent and finding it difficult to get excited about this pg until I had passed little Marley's EDD and all the early panic points - it made me feel a little guilty that others were do excited and I kept wondering what was wrong with me - but I suppose defence mechanisms take all forms... josh'smum - I cried my eyes out when I saw Little One's hb this time - it seems another part of the healing process - can sympathise with the m/s struggles with toddler (DD is 4) and it has been a bloody hard slog this time to stay on top of the mundane realities and stuff that needs to be done and keep that bow-in-my-hair sunny temperament thing going on at times  Welcome Sunny09 - a h and h pg to you!!
HannahD - congrats on little girl - it has been such a pink thread this time!!! It is fun buying the baby gear but lord - isn't there a lot of it out there???? Really happy to hear you have an awesome midwife and she makes you feel grounded and confident - really important
Greenslw - first and foremost - congrats on your ENGAGEMENT!!!!!!!! What fun to have so much going on - pleased your boss was supportive and you feel valued rather than 'oh well see ya then' and that they have spoken about the future with you! Have fun with your 'girly' prep - and may your U/S on the 31st go well... :)
megsmum - am kicking myself that I missed Emma's birth - but have left a birth announcement message for you - wonderful to hear how she is thriving and that you are coping well
Zachary's mum - so close now - am very excited for you!!!!
MeredithD and WTH - can sympathise with the 'what do you mean it could be soon...' feeling - DD didn't hang around too long and rocked up at 37 1/2 wks in the middle of tiling three rooms and me having just dumped 16 yrs of teaching resources (unfiled of course) in the loungeroom - brilliant planning of course when you are having a homebirth - mind you, did give DP something to seriously do for the first stage of labour... Meredith - glad to hear the wig has lifted your spirits a little and here's hoping that DS's excitement continues - my DD wavers between being really loving towards the baby and regressing completely to wanting to be the baby in response to the uncertainty of it all - makes for some very entertaining days... Hope you both have good news around your issues...
Rach2281 - wonderful to hear you have picked a name for your little girl - we have a list of both, same as before - such little commitmentphobes we are
Easha - can feel for the waddle-thon - I have to keep wondering if my keel sway was quite this pronounced last time and wonder what the heck it must look like from behind - at yoga I must admit when we get into figure 8s and other pelvic rolling I do feel like a bit of a git the way your stomach kind of moves independently of everything else... Easha and Erybery - sorry to hear BP has been higher than you would want - mine was higher first pg and didn't ease down until I finished work (too much on my feet) - I also had high ketones first time round but GTT showed normal and this time it hasn't been an issue (I have a sluggish digestive system so my body hacks into its own stores to compensate - hence the periodically high ketones) - erybery - love the hiccups in the pelvis - both my bubs have been big on that and it certainly is freaky!!!
Chappas - hope bub is prepared to do a bit of gymnastics for you - although as someone else here has said - breech doesn't automatically mean c-section - there are a lot of breech bubs who deliver well vaginally with midwives/obs keeping an eye on distress or heartbeat with a doppler or other non-invasive device (e.g. not full on strap down heart monitoring where you can't move) - sorry to hear about the pelvic probs - unlike first time I am getting my dodgy hip slipping out from time to time on the right at the moment in the arvos - keep freaking out random men in supermarkets when I clutch at the shelving and double up until it passes - I do get a warning twinge before it happens which is good - a lot of women who have had bubs in breech at this point have said to me acupuncture has been good at times for shifting position for them - I feel much better now I've been on liquid iron for a couple of weeks now - the anaemia really sucks doesn't it...
Tam83 - a very belated congrats on Maison's birth!!!!
Mollycat - great to see you powering along
pash - my bub has done a great cigar impression for a long time but is rounding out a little more in the last couple of weeks - love your analysis of DP's hormonal rollercoaster - he must love that!!!!:) I love playing 'guess what appendage that is...' - at the moment I think I am being mooned on a permanent basis...
babymiracles - great to hear you had a good scan - lord a lot of us seem to be packing and moving at the moment - apparently it is in the top ten most stressful life activities...
AFM - meetings with our homebirthing midwife are going wonderfully - I get reflexology each fortnight and it is divine. We have sorted our finances, the house is almost sane and apart from the periodic hip collapses - it is a very normal, run of the mill pg for which I am very, very grateful - bub is head down and bouncing around and I feel is likely to come sooner rather than later but we're so much more organised this time than last - I feel that it wouldn't bother me even if a few things were still undone... Turned cougar (40 with younger fella) in July (whoops - better change my signature for truth in advertising purposes... (not sure whether to be proud of that one or not) and am now past full on DD's bday and rellies visiting as well - we have all been terribly ill (hence our outing from BB for a while) but I think everyone is on the mend now - the wonderful hacking, mucuousy, digusting afflictions that seem to be plaguing everyone at the moment and have no social skills to know when to go... Just want to be well when bub makes his/her appearance (so WTH - my sympathies really have been with you on this long haul...) DD is stunningly mature and loving one moment and as frustrating and inexplicable the next about the bub - but I have a few friends with toddlers who have new bubs and it is interesting watching how each child deals with their new brother/sister - so onto the next evolution of our family I suppose ;)
Good outcomes and much better health to everyone

Hi :hello:, I was sitting here today stressing about my new preg when I realised that, of course, Belly Belly would have a thread where I can say my fears with other ladies who will understand.
I got my bfp last thursday and by my lmp am 4wk 4days, very early days I know. Had my hcg levels done Fri and only 140, had them done again today but still waiting on results. had my first big day at work today and have had a sore tummy ever since. not like period pain or anything though so not sure if I should be stressed or anything :(
this is preg 5 and we haven't had a bub to take home yet so I am  that this is a sticky bub. I went through an amazing midwife last preg and have already rung her. She has said if any pains etc let her know immediately and I can come in for hcg test and ultrasound etc to see where its all at.
I'm thinking if I am at work tomorrow and i get pain that I will do that. I guess I'm just wondering what are normal pains? I now everything is starting to stretch etc down there but am still SO scared.
Sorry for the all about me post, kind of freaked out and hoping for reassurance. i know a few names from the ttc thread - so nice to see you again :) and I see a few of you aren't due to be on here for much longer - can't wait for you to meet your bubs!
-
Hi TinaR - I lurk quite often in the TTCMC thread so I know your journey well. I was so thrilled whn I saw you got your BFP! I hope this is a happy and healhty pregnancy after all you have been through you definetly deserve it!
I got lots of cramping and painswhen I was first pregnant, actually I was still getting cramps till bout 20 weeks! My Doc was great and did HCG tests every 2-3 days for me from 4-7 weeks till I had my ultrasounbd with the Obstetrician. Sometimes it is very reassuring thoigh can make things stresful too. Your level sounds fine to me. big hugs and best wishes!

HI all!
Chappas - just wanted to wish you luck for your scan tomorrow. Here's hoping your baby has turned!
Easha - Hope bag packing all done and now you can just rest/await the arrival of your bubs - very exciting time!
BTW - a very small baby can be an indicator that placental function is not great, in which case, it would be better to get baby out and feed them up on the outside
WTH - Yippe at sorting out names. A GF of mine had a little boy 4 days ago and he still hasn't got a name because they just couldn't decide
Hoping you have managed to sort your cough out. Its the last thing you need right now
Karen - Great that you are so calm and organised about your birth. I hope everything goes so smoothly and to plan for you
Congrats on the big 40 too!
Tina - Welcome and congrats on your pg. Having lost 7 babies myself, I understand the horrible fear in those early days. Personally, I found biweekly BTs helpful just so i knew everything was on track.
However, the scans are what really helps... seeing a little HB after about 6weeks was so reassuring.
As for the pains, they can be perfectly normal. I always have cramping in early pg. This one was probably the worst. I was sure I wasn't pg due to such severe cramping early on
AFM - Fortunately, not much to tell. Baby still moving around in there which is great. Seee OB tomorrow so will find out the plan for monitoring her growth etc then

I just wanted to pop my head in to say WTG Meredith!!!! 33 weeks is such a big big achievement after all you have been through my love! This little Upsy Girl is a strong fighter...

Hi girls. I haven't posted on BB for awhile and I hope you don't mind me joining in on this thread. I have followed some of your posts and the support and advice you give eachother is wonderful. Just quickly, I am nearly 26 weeks pregnant, having previously had 2 miscarriages. I also have a DS who is 3 years old.
TinaR- I wish you all the luck with this pregnancy. I know and understand your fears and concerns well. I found out I was pregnant this time around at 4 weeks, and have had tummy cramps and backache on and off for most of the way through so far. The early weeks were very scary, as I always associate this type of pain with a miscarriage.
Although this pregnancy has been more worrying and stressful, I have had alot of reassurance from my obstetrician and midwives. Also, having regular ultrasounds has deinatley put my mind at ease. I wanted to let you know that these types of pain can be absolutley normal.I hope everything goes well for you. It sounds as if you have a wonderful supportive midwife to talk to. Good luck and take care xx Kath

Hi All!
Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I had the results of my 2nd BT today and Friday I was 140 but by Monday was 550!! At the doubling rate that is Tuesdays amount so I'm well and truly up there! I'm so excited by it all and feel really ok about this one.
Mum let it slip to her boss! ran into her workroom to grab her bag and her boss wanted to talk - she said, gotta be quick, I've got to get kfc, tina's got cravings. LOL, I just wanted some junk food. She's told two people now, hoping that is all until first week of November when we start telling people. She does try - just lets it slip out lol,
I can't talk - I've randomly told about 5 people...kick myself afterwards but cant help it
I'm already wishing to see my :bellygrowing:
:bellyrubs: to all my new friends
