HannahD oh how exciting, I didn't think sa was represented much at all on BB :D your boss sounds awsome. Bit of shame bout no handover. How long you having off?
TinaR glad your scan went well
 Meredith and Upsy
Easha a client had that and two days later healthy baby girl. So baby's on the way How exciting...........
Erybery wow 3.5kg sounds so small. I'm so scared of a 4.5kg monster
ATM friends coming for tea. I keep saying to myself 'you need to say NO" but so far I'm not.
DF got a matress from work that was new but on the shelf for ages, thought it would be more comphy well, my back is stuffed. I couldn't even do the shopping without wincing. I did wear heals yesterday so I'm not sure which to blame, I want my old matress back. I told him not to change till bubs was out but mr inpatient! his back is bad too so if it's bad tomorrow I'm putting my foot down.
Meredith - Glad to hear Upsy is still comfy in there.
Easha - How exciting! Sounds like it won't be long now. Goodluck.
erybery - Great news. 3.5kg sounds perfect.
Greenslw - I get 6 months paid leave so am taking all of that plus probably a few extra weeks unpaid. My boss is also happy for me to return part time initially, which is great. Sorry the new mattress isn't bad for your back. We need a new mattress too. I'm comfy but DH has been sleeping in the guest bedroom as that mattress (a king single) is better for his back than ours.
HI Ladies
sorry been mia but just to let you know baby Daniel arrived on Thursday 10th and just got back from hosp.
Hope you are all well be back for persies later.
Congratulations! can't wait to hear more details!!!
Chappas - congratulations on the birth of Daniel - gladd to hear you are well
Easha - sounds very much like you had a show. With DS, I had mine about 48hrs prior to start of labour, Hope we hear some news from you soon!
AFM - Still hanging in. Intermittently having niggling pre-labour type signs but nothing progressing as yet. Have had my show over the last 2 days but not sure if this could have been precipitated by internal on the wed. Kind of hoping to go on my own prior to Thurs just to feel something happend "naturally"
big congrats chappas and welcome to the world daniel!!!
Congrats chappas on the arrival of Daniel! Glad everything went well.
Meredith - Fingers crossed for you! I never had a show after my internal, so maybe things are starting to happen, I hope so :)
Hi everyone,
I guess it is time to join thois group.... I have been silently stalking and reading for a while now !
Meredith - Wow what a journey. You certainly are making me feel stronger within myself. My last pregnancy was very similar and I to had a 36 weeker due to unstable lie and low fluid ( after my waters broke at 23 weeks) You certainly have travelled a long road. Wishing you my very very best  and I hope that you do get your 'natural' labour before Thursday. It isa nice when your body does something on its own isn't it.
Josh's Mum - do you know where you can hire the dopplers from?
AFM: I am of course going insane myself thinking the worst everytime. ie : my boobs stop hurting and I start freaking out about it. then they hurt and burn like crazy for a few days. I am thinking a doppler would be a good idea but I think I might become addicted to it ........
I just want to feel little one move.... I have an anterior placenta and have been told I won't feel it until 25 + weeks..:( but then sometimes when I lean forward when I am sitting it get this flutter / flick or when I am lying down watching telly !!! go figure could this be movement??
I go to the clinic tomorrow to book in and looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again. Then on Friday to my OB and he will do a quick scan in his rooms.
Sorry for the worrried post but I am at present feel like I am going crazy!!!!!
I can only improve..
A BIG :grouphug: to everyone..pr0mise I am not always like this... only the few days leading up to scans and Ob apts  )
Em
chappas - Congratulations! Welcome to the world Daniel :bluecheer:
Meredith - I hope things are happening for you. Certainly sounds as if they are. Goodluck!
mrzbaby - Congratulations on your pregnancy. I have an anterior placenta too, but I felt the first flutters at around 15-16 weeks. I was lying on my back after drinking a cup of tea. I started to feel movement daily by 19 weeks as she kicks to the side a lot. I guess it depends on bubs position. Goodluck with your appointments this week.
:bluecheer: :leap: HOORAY CHAPPAS ON THE BIRTH OF YOUR LITTLE BOY, DANIEL :leap: :bluecheer:
Easha - My waters broke with DD at 40 weeks to the day, but I missed the "show/mucous plug".
Meredith - not long to go now.... ;) xx
AFM - sorry for being so slack - I am so behind on persies! It's been lovely to hear from Mollycat and Hannah and :welcome: to mrzbaby :D Fatigue has hit me BIGtime now. Having some odd new symptoms, ie: nausea, additonal backpain and some pressure on my cervix so I think I may be in pre-labour (which I understand can last a few weeks). Will find out more at Ob appointment today.
Chappas - congratulations and welcome to the world little Daniel :happyforyou::bluecheer:
Meredith - thinking of you - hoping everything goes smoothly
Easha: Not long now - good luck and look forward to hearing your news
Greenslw and Hannah D - my fellow Adelaidians - aren't we just having the most gorgeous day. Just managed a lovely walk down by the beach (we have moved from near the city to down by the beach)! I am booked in at Calvary - where are you delivering Hannah.
Mrzbaby - welcome to the thread. I remember you from the TTCML thread. Completely understand your worry - I am still worrying and only have just over two weeks to go - panicked this morning as baby was a bit quiet - but she has been kicking up a storm since. Hang in there and know that there are lots of us understanding what you are going through. Congratulations by the way  re the doppler hire - do a google search - I found a couple of companies that do hire them - ended up buying one myself in the second trimester and found it to be very reassuring at times.
:hello: to megsmum & emma of course, zstar, Karen van, Josh's mum, erybery (not long now), tina (yeah for a good scan) , mollycat, WTH, kath, lauren,, theresa, rach, and everyone else who looks at this thread.
AFM: Move went really well - friday was a big day in that regard, and then saturday had a really lovely baby shower (bubba is going to be best dressed baby ever I think - although we will have a problems if scans were wrong and she comes out as a boy - tee hee - so much pink stuff. (really though as long as bubba is healthy I really do not mind and we have a boys name picked out just in case - and hubbie is very prepared to repaint nursery if necessary). Still anxious every day and now just want things to move along quickly - cannot wait to hold a lovely healthy live baby in my arms.
Just one question - found out I am a carrier of Strept B so apparently have to have antibiotics during labour to decrease chance bubba will get a serious infection - have any of you had this in previous pregnancies (think risk of infection if I have antibiotics is very small - but one more thing to worry about!).
Hi Baby Miracles- yes I remember you as well... wow on a few weeks to go it only seemed like yesterday!.
I had Strep B with my son. I found out when my waters broke at 23 weeks. I was on a course of strong antibitoics IV. I was told then that if it got to the bub it could casuse blindness but before you worry it was because my waters had broken so early before 37weeks which holds more risk of serious infections to the baby.
I was advised for all my other pregs that if my waters broke to go hosp ASAP so they can start the infusion.
I am sure you will be fine.....
By the way my son was fine and premmie.
Antibiotics are a marvel.
BTW where did you buy your doppler from? and if you don't mind saying which brand di you buy?
I think I am just going to bite the bullet and buy one and then make myself only use it twice a week.
If all else fails I will let my DH hide it until I allow myself to use it again
Em
hi mrzbaby
i know what you mean about doing your head in close to dates ect. i have my nuchal scan tomorrow and i have know about it for a month but have been doing my head in and have nearly gone completly mad at times in this last week. now its tomorrow and i couldn't even work this morning and this afternoon i have this sense of calm! far out. one extreme to the other. i am fine until the week before! hilarious.
hope you have a h & h pregnancy!
Zstar.... thinking of you tomorrow...all will be good.
I am hoping with time I will be able to cope better when approaching those dreaded scans... my DH hopes so to lol !!!!!
Chappas CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of Daniel.
zstar best of luck for your scan tomorrow. I'm having mine in 2 weeks today (at 13 weeks) and it is all I can think about, I am so nervous about it.
mrzbaby I have seen a few websites which hire out dopplers that can work from 10 weeks. I just googled doppler hire and had about 3 websites that came up. They are about $40 per month and a $20 delivery charge. I spoke to my ob on Friday and asked him about them, he thought it was a really bad idea as they can be difficult to use and cause more anxiety than peace of mind. I think DH and I have decided against it. Welcome to thread and congrats on feeling the flutters, I can't wait to start feeling movement this pregnancy.
Easha with DS I had a show a couple of days, probably 48-72 hours before my waters broke, when my waters finally did break (8 days after due date) they were stained so was induced to hurry my labour up. Hoping all goes well for you in the next couple of days.
Babymiracles thank godness the move has gone well, I couldn't think of anything worse ATM.
Meredith best of luck in the next couple of days.
Hello to to megsmum, Karen van, erybery, tina, mollycat, WTH, and anyone else i might have missed
AFM I have been trying to lay low so sorry about not posting for a while. I have been suffering still with nausea and vomiting, not complaining it is just exhausting. I am just waiting to tick over the 1st tri so I can finally start enjoying pregnant and start telling people. My ob called me on Friday to tell me he got my blood work back for my prenatal screen and bloods for the 1st tri screen. I was very low in vit D so now have to take ostelin. I don't really understand, I know I live in Melbourne, but I play tennis twice a week during the day and walk the dog everyday anyway, now taking ostelin. Not much news from me, other than anxiously waiting for the next 2 weeks to pass.
Hope your all well.
mrzbaby - I bought my doppler from fertility naturopath website - and it was an angelsounds one - but just had a look at their website and they do not seem to have the one I purchased anymore. Mine was more expensive (around $200) and gives a display that lets you know heart rate. However, I have found that function to be not that useful and it seems to be inaccurate. My OB said the most important thing is to hear a heart beat and rate on those inaccurate machines less important. He wasn't overly pleased I bought one as thought it might cause more anxiety - but I have found it generally easy to find heart beat and found it helpful. Everyone is different though as to whether it will help ease anxiety or make it worse. Prior to feeling baby kicking (which was late for me due to anterior placenta) - I used it every 2nd or 3rd day and if I was really worried. Once kicking started have rarely had to use it but like to know its on hand IYKWIM. Hey thanks for info on strept B thing - sounds like a good thing that they test for it and at least antibiotics will help reduce risk of anything going wrong.
josh'smum: Sorry to hear about your bad ms - how annoying - hope it passes soon. Re the vitamin D - from a professional point of view (I am a pharmacist) it has become apparent in the last few years that vitamin D deficiency is extremely common even in australia - maybe due to our changes as a culture with regard sun protection. It is a great thing your OB tested for it and you are taking Ostelin. My OB didn't even test for it but I got another doctor to look at mine and it was borderline - fortunately the pregnancy vitamins I take contain a reasonable dose.
zstar - will be thinking of you tomorrow
WTH - how did the OB appointment go today?
Hi girls,
chappas- Big congrats on the birth of your baby Daniel- great news!!
TinaR- I'm so glad your scan went well, I have been thinking of you.
Meredith- you are also in my thoughts. I hope everything goes well for you.
Hannah- Noticed we are at the same stage in our pregnancies! Sounds like you have a busy bub in there. I too have been trying to improve my posture- I find at work I get abit lazy at my desk and start slumping!!
Easha- thinking of you too, all the best for the next few days.
zstar- good luck with your scan!
mrzbaby- welcome and congrats! I know you must be anxious, I couldn't wait to feel my baby move- it is always very reassuring. Will be thinking of you, good luck with your next scan.
WTH- hope your Ob appointment went well, not long to go now!
babymiracles- glad your move went well, bet you're relieved that's over!! I had Srep B with my first pregnancy. I remember being totally freaked out by it! When my waters broke at home, I had to go straight to hospital and was put on an antibiotic drip. DS came out just fine, so don't worry. Good luck with everything.
josh'smum- Hi fellow Melbournian. Sorry you have been feeling so yucky, hope the MS passes soon. Won't be long until 2nd tri!
To all the other girls I have missed- big hello's and hope you are all well and happy xx
AFM- Looking forward to my Ob appointment next week. Have been stressing about baby's growth- just hope all is well in there. Getting plenty of movement so that's great!
Have had bad indigestion lately- I've got to have smaller meals I think! I just get sooo hungry at lunch and dinner, and eat too quickly!!
Hope you all have a great week xx

A WTH update...
Had Ob appointment yesterday. Our low baby is now even LOWER! Ob agreed I was having pre-labour symptoms. These can last some time, but with the position of bubs it looks like we are now talking super-soon. He could not actually say when, just "boy is that baby low!"
Our goal is to  we make it to Saturday when I hit 36 weeks so I can have my emergency CS in the cushy private hospital (had a difficult birth with DD at the local public one - still feel a bit yuk from it all). So I have been told to rest at home. I am allowed to sit and use the computer so I should be able to keep you all up-to-date and catch up on some BB persies ;)
Kath - have you tried Rennie tabs? Safe in pregnancy, a great calcium boost and have been a god-send these past few days for me with strong heartburn and indigestion.
Josh'sMum - my SIL whole family are genetically low in Vitamin D. Apparently it can commonly happen, regardless of diet, etc. They only just found out about it recently. No amount of sunshine does the job - they all need to take supps.
Babymiracles - glad you have got the move out of the way and had a lovely baby shower. It is so exciting that you are about to meet your little miss. Sorry that I cannot help you with the Strep B, but I do know the outcome with antibiotics is said to be excellent ;)
Zstar - :goodluck: with your NT scan. Hope they give you a nice pic to bring home and pop on your fridge
Mrzbaby - I used a doppler for this pregnancy, too. I bought it online at about 12 weeks and it certainly kept my mind at ease before I started to feel bubs move. Like Babymiracles, I invested in a rather good one with an LCD display showing the BPM. BTW I also have an anterior placenta. I can't remember if I was anterior with my first PG, but felt movement at perhaps 18 weeks with DD. They say in subsequent PG's you will feel it sooner. This time around I felt it at about 18 weeks again (not the 25 weeks that was suggested to you). Similarly to Hannah, I generally first felt flutters after a warm drink if I was semi-reclined on the bed. On days where I was active, I rarely felt anything.
Tina - congratulations on your great scan!
Meredith, Erybery and Easha - thinking of you... :D x 3
:hello: to Hannah, Mollycat, Karen Van, Pash, Lee, Theresa, Rach and anyone I have inadvertently missed!
babymiracles - I'm going through the WCH midwifery clinic. Glad you had a great baby shower and got lots of pressies for bubs.
zstar - Goodluck for the nuchal scan today. Keep us posted.
josh'smum - Sorry (& glad, IYKWIM) you are feeling sick. I remember how reassuring it was, but it was so tiring. Take care of yourself, you're almost through the 1st tri. I think babymiracles is on to something with our attitude to sun protection causing vitamin D deficiency. Sunscreen does interfere with production since it blocks UV light. Our skin needs to be exposed to the sun to get the full benefit (but I think 10 minutes a day is all we need under normal circumstances, unless there is some medical condition as WTH described). Glad your doc is on to it though.
kath - Hi belly buddy! Looks like our baby girls are both due on the same day.
WTH - It looks like things are happening. How exciting! you make it to Saturday.
AFM - The sh*t has hit the fan at work. I walked in yesterday to find my co-worker's desk empty and a card & email that said goodbye. He and I were the only ones responsible for statistical analysis. There is a third position, but the person filling that starts the week after I leave and even if we find a replacement for me, they won't be starting until after I leave either. The executive manager also does analysis, but he is a full-time clinician as well so its too much for him to be entirely responsible for picking up uncompleted projects as well as induct two new staff. I'm so frustrated. I'm feeling so overwhelmed with preparing for the baby so finishing at 34 weeks sounds really, really good to me now. But I don't want to leave work in the lurch as they've been so good to me. Sorry for the rant. I'm just so sick of going back and forth over this.
Hannah - about work, sounds like a difficult situation. I hope you can come up with a plan that suits you and bub.
WTH - Will do my best to send you a note today ;) but have everything crossed for you to make it to 36 weeks. I definitely recommend the cushy hospital, my time in private hospy with Emma was heaps better than the public i had DD1 in!
babymiracles - Glad the move went well :) and that you had a nice baby shower. Not long left for you now! Sorry I can't help with the Strep B either, I was neg for it.
mrzbaby - Welcome! You are in a good spot where everyone understands your worry, and wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy. I also had an anterior placenta and felt some flutters at 14 - 15 weeks, so you may be feeling bub. I had definite movements though by 18 wks.
Hi and belly rubs to everyone else that I've missed, sorry for no more persies - I'm trying to type left handed while Emma feeds now and it is not easy!! BTW for anyone that is interested, I have just posted our birth story ;)
Hi ladies - have been away for 6 weeks - but couldn't pop in and not wish Meredith all the very best for the upcoming birth of Upsy - I've followed your journey too, and like most of us in here, it's been long and hard - so I'm thrilled you are about to meet your new bub - and will be stalking you!!! Hope your birth goes just the way you want it, it's great Upsy is preparing herself already!
Lee xoxo
Chappas Congratulations on the birth of Daniel!
Easha HOw exciting! Can't wait to read your birth announcement. Or did I miss it?
Meredith Wow, so much has happened. I'm glad things are starting to happen naturally for you too. It's like your body agrees with your ob.
WTH It's all starting to happen! How very exciting!
I've been speed reading to try to catch up and have missed heaps.
I've been MIA thanks to house hunting, and now we're trying to get a loan, roll up the year for our business, organise settlement, plan renovations, furnish enough to be able to accomodate our family over Christmas, plan Christmas (including getting presents for everyone). All this has to happen in the next 10 weeks, or sooner if bubs comes sooner.
As if I didn't have enough on my plate, work just got more busy, I'm anaemic and may have gestational diabetes. I do the GTT with fasting next week. So that makes me worry that monkey might come early.
But despite all the stress, I'm still blissfully happy. I love feeling monkey squirm about inside me, and am really going to miss being preggers when all this is over. I think I might be the sort of mum who never wants to put the baby down.
I'm sorry I haven't absorbed everyone's posts. Hope you're all well and belly rubs all round.
I read someone's daughter (Megsmum?) may have had swine flu. Hope you and your daughter are doing better.
Hi All,
No time for persies today..
I'm still here:wall::wall:...... no baby yet
My 'show' is coming away in dribs and drabs. I am very uncomfortable now so I have sent bub an eviction notice to leave within the week:lol::lol:.
Anyway will keep you all posted
Congrats Chappas on your new baby boy !!!
megsmum - Your birth story is amazing! Already you have something for your speech when Emma turns 21.
Bimboo - Welcome and congratulations on your twins! I am sorry for the loss of their sibling. Feel free to discuss any concerns here. This IS the place for it. The ladies here are wonderful. There's not much I can say to ease the anxiety. All any of us can do is take it one day at a time. It won't be long now and you'll be feeling regular movements. Some of the ladies here have invested in dopplers to help them through. I wish you all the best.
pash - Wow you're brave hosting Christmas this year! Goodluck with the GTT next week, I hope it comes back negative so that's one less thing for your to worry about. You certainly have a lot on your plate at the moment. I hope your finding time to rest.
Easha - You can't have too long to wait now. Are you feeling uncomfortable because bubs is engaging?
:bellyrubs: to all.
AFM - Just got back from having blood drawn for my OGCT. I'll get the results tomorrow. I'm so over the work thing now. I'm going to finish up at the end of October and enjoy my time at home to focus of getting ready for my baby girl's arrival. I need to accept that I am not responsible for everyone and everything. They've known since June that I'll be leaving so there's no need for me to feel guilty over someone else quitting suddenly.
hi everyone
i had my nt scan yesterday and got my combined results today. they came back with adjusted risk of downes 1:737 which put me at low risk. however, my nuchal reading was 2.77mm which puts me over the 95% mark. Ob has suggested i have amneo at 15 weeks. dh is in perth til saturday so i don't want to tell him over the phone. i wouldn't terminate if it does have downes but i think we would both want to be prepared if it did and not get the shock at the birth. i have googled stuff this morning and sooo many girls with readings over 3 & 4mm have gone on to have healthy babies. i wish i didn't have the test to start with. ob said risk of m/c with amneo could be 1:1000 because of me having at 15 weeks and not later. he said everything should or could be ok. can't remember which word now. was in shock. dh and i see him on monday to get referral for amneo. i just think it would do my head in not knowing now and i want to enjoy my pg either way and not be wondering all the time. my gut feeling is that it is truely all ok. it was amazing to see its arms and legs. it had the hiccups. it was hilarious. i feel fully bonded with my baby after yesterday.
i guess some of us just have a bit of a rocky road to the end prize compared to some.
i hope everyone is well and happy out there.
easha - looking forward to hearing that bub is here!!!
the gift of a healthy child is something to be treasured.
Zstar - I had CVS testing at 11 weeks and 2 days as my Ob picked up nuchal fluid at a 9 week scan in his office. It was confirmed at the specialist ultrasound place, I think the fluid was 3.3. I didn even have the nuchal scan as the fluid was so obvious. I was told it was an indicator of a chromosonal prob and it could have been a fatal trisomy, however, the CVS tests all came back normal and the fluid had completely resolved by 19 weeks. I have been tld now that we will never know why bubs had such a high reading. They checked her heart out very carefully too on multiple specialist scans and as you can see I am due in a few short weeks. Really hope you get some answers soon as I know the wait can be awful. Ask to speak to a geneticist as this really helped me understand things!
thanks erbery. appreciate it.
not long to go for you. seems like yesterday you were 20 weeks! so exciting!!!!!
I'm sure i will be fine. have to keep being brave and taking it all one day at a time.
Hi Girls,
just thought i'd pop in to say hi cause i got a BFP on monday! i know some of you from the ttc after loss thread and was looking forward to joining you all in this group.
well i am currently 15dpo and just got my hcg test back from yesterday which was 92 at 14dpo. does anyone know if this is ok? my gp has given my three bt requests which i was going to do weekly, but think i might do another tomorrow to check the doubling of the levels. does that sound like the right thing to do?
i have also had killer back pain! i do have a 13kg 14m ds which i'm sure doesn't help but OMG it just aches - is that normal too? now this is going to make me sound completely paranoid and make me look like a fruitcake, but i have this fear of ectopic pregnancy. i had a lap appendix removal in july and i just have this fear that they damaged my tubes or there are adhesions. whenever i look up ectopic preg one of the risk factors is recent abdominal surgery and appendix removal - great! would love some thoughts or advice on this if anyone has any.
aside from all of that - dh and i are very ver excited after a yucky last 6 months so praying and praying and hoping and crossing everything that this bubba stays with us.
sorry for the 'all me' post. hope you're all well and feeling like fantastic pregnant women!
thanks
jules
:cheer: NEWSFLASH - MEREDITHD HAS HAD HER LITTLE GIRL! :cheer:
Please click here to view the birth announcement:
http://forums.bellybelly.com.au/foru...60#post1973860
just checking my ticker
try again!
Congrats Jules :)
I thought I'd pop in here for the last 4 weeks of the pregnancy - I've seen alot of you ladies in TTC threads and others I've seen around the site :hello:
Just have to say CONGRATULATIONS to both CHAPPAS (who WAS my due date buddy - OK - I give up you win!) and to MeredithD on that long awaited wonderful little girl!!! Depending on the next day I will try and see birth announcements and leave a message there for each of them!!
Easha - IKWYM - last two weeks have been engaged and having fierce pre-labour contractions and backaches - you do get over it! Hopefully - sooner than later for you!
Welcome to new members on the thread - I am a little distracted today - so if I can I will get back to do proper persies!
HannahD - I had the same prob letting go of work because you like to leave everything as schmick as you would like it to be for you - so I can sympathise - handed the keys in only this week despite being on leave since July - how bloody sad am I???
zstar - I hope everything goes well with your test sweeting - a little knowledge is often a double-edged sword for us when we are pg
I hope everyone is going well and that we will see some more little ones joining us!
AFM - sadly we had to put our last dog Shamus the wonder dog of 12 years down last week which was very hard but we have with our DD scattered him with his 16 year old companion Zuna who passed away last year together in the vegie garden so they can play forever and DD wanted to be able to visit them and have a yarn from time to time - I can't believe a 4 yr old handled it so well!
My waters broke at 6.30am this morning and the contractions are getting harder and more noticeable but do not seem active/first stage to me as of yet (but I appreciate they might be different to the first time) - I have to ring my midwife again at 5 pm and she is coming to do a heart and general check - my wonderful friend is here and is coming over tonight to do a massage and bring a 'groaning cake' - yes it is for birth/after-birth and features blackstrap molasses for strength - it is one of these wonderful 16th century traditions my friend loves so much. Depending on how the contractions shape up - she may or may not stay to help look after DD during the birth. We have uploaded our birthing soundtrack and we are tidying up and organising our birthing space in the lounge at the moment so it is nice to be in such a wonderful frame compared to our first disorganised space in homebirthing. I wish everyone a great weekend - I have no idea if bub will present in the next 24 hours or it could be a little longer - we'll have to see - I remember my friend had her waters break/a show on the Sunday and didn't birth her bub until the next Saturday so I appreciate I shouldn't get too hooked on 'when'. Very excited!
Much love
Karen van
Easha - Hang in there, I'm sure it will be soon for you now
Karen - All the very best for your homebirth, heaps of birthing vibes coming your way! I'm so very sorry about the loss of your puppy dog
Meredith and chappas -
Hi everone else, gotta dash, crying baby!
zstar - I'm sorry your NT scan didn't come back 'all clear' and that you have to face the decision on what to do next. I am glad that you feel so bonded with your baby now. Its amazing seeing them on that screen for the first time. Oh, and don't underestimate your gut feelings either. Goodluck hun.
jules - Congratulations on your :bfp: Wishing you a happy, healthy and sticky 8 months or so. My suggestion is to see your doc as soon as you can so that you can discuss your concerns about an ectopic and they can monitor you through this early stage :stickyvibesboy:
Meredith - Congratulations on the arrival of Holly Beth :cheer:. (I love that name by the way). I hope your enjoying lots of cuddles now that your girl is finally safe in your arms.
Liz - Welcome and congratulations on your imminent bundle.
Karen - All the best for your homebirth. Sending you lots of good birthing vibes.
:bellyrubs: to all
AFM - I'm home from work today. I woke up this morning with bad lower back pain, like period cramps. They come and go but not with any regularity, so I don't think its anything serious, just uncomfortable. Sometimes I'll feel cramps in my lower abdomen as well, but usually its when bubs is moving around. I spoke to my midwife this morning (I had to call for my GCT results anyway) and she wasn't overly concerned since the pain is mostly in my back, told me to take 2 panadol, apply some heat and rest for the day. So, that's exactly what I'm doing. By the way, my GCT results came back normal. Yay! And my haemoglobin looks good too
Karen - Good luck on the upcoming birth!
Thanks Hannah :) I've been meaning to pop in here every now and then but just don't because I have the good ol' baby brain hit me!
Getting plenty of kicks and knees and feelings of our lil one trying to claw his way out. Just got home from the shops and in the middle of the shops I had a lil bit of stomach pain (like period pain) that made me feel nauseous and made me double over, but lasted for around a minute, then I was ok again.. No idea what it was, but I just hope it doesn't happen again - not for a while!
Meredith: Congratulations again on the arrive of your beautiful daughter Holly - what wonderful wonderful news to log on and see :happyforyou:
Karen Van: OMG how exciting - sounds very close. Wishing you a wonderful home birth and look forward to reading your birth announcement very soon
LizJessie: Lovely to see you in this thread. I remember you from the Belly buddy group. Glad things are going well - not long to go now
HannahD: hope you are feeling better - I wonder if you are having braxton-hicks contractions - I get them all the time (from about 25 weeks) but they are not really painful so not sure. Rest up. WCH is a great hospital - I am sure you will be in excellent hands there with the midwifery clinic.
Megsmum: :hello: so nice that you are still popping in even though I imagine you have got your hands full with little Emma. Hope all is going really well
Juleswa: congratulations on your bfp and welcome to the thread. Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months ahead. It is so nerve wracking, especially in the early days isn't it, but hang in there - one day at a time is all I can suggest
WTH: not long now - hope you doing ok
zstar: sorry about the uncertainty on your NF scan - will pray all is okay. Take care of yourself. When is the amnio booked for?
Bimboo - welcome to the thread. Sorry to hear about the loss of one of your triplets. I think all of us in this thread understand the worry you are feeling. Take it easy and one day at a time
Easha: any news yet?
:hello: erybery, pash, lee, mrzbaby, chappas (and little Daniel of course) Hope all is well for all of you
AFM: 38 weeks today - very ready for baby to come - just want to see her in person now and make sure all is okay. Feeling settled in my new/old house and loving the extra space here and the fact that I have my nursery set up and ready to go. Baby's head is low and I keep getting very wierd groin cramps (not like period pain - more in upper inner leg/groin area) that sometimes make it difficult to walk around. Hoping that is everything just stretching in preparation - has anyone else experienced this - they last just a second but sometimes one after another for a few minutes.
babymiracles - Thanks :) I remember you too :) I am the same as you personally - though I've got a little longer than you to go! I just wanna meet the lil man that's giving his mum plenty of kicks and knees and elbows and fists :p Good to hear you've got your nursery all set up. Ours isn't because we've been waiting for my inheritance money to come in and now that we're waiting for it to clear in the bank, we've got a small list of stuff we still need to get for the nursery (eg. Change table, an extra set of drawers - or two!)
:hello: to everyone else. Got my MIL and FIL coming to help me with cleaning today, although I've already done the dishes, took yesterdays washing off the line, put in a new load, moved a few things around in the nursery, and collected all the dirty clothes and put them in the laundry.. I'll be surprised if there is anything left for them to help me with when they get here!
Hi everyone
Babymiracles - just wanted to let you know had lots of the 'OMG need to stop walking as gripping pain afflicts upper legs/groin' - particularly for me on my right side where my dodgy hip was - it happened a lot in the last month of this pg although it wasn't such an issue last one - think bub was sitting on something sensitive this time - had fun freaking out random shoppers in the dairy cabinet at the supermarket when I had to reach over and grip shelves until it passed  (Sorry, twisted bunny...)
Welcome to Bimboo - hope everything goes well and good luck Liz in the last part of your pg!!!
Well - Joss Tait arrived yesterday with a bang!! Waters broke at 6.30am but day was full of irregular fluffy type sensations so I relaxed a bit thinking it would be some time before we met bub - should have known better! At 6pm, like a lightswitch, suddenly burst into full active first stage - rang midwife, rang friend and by 7.30pm both were at our place and I was echoing down the street apparently  By 8.15pm was getting ready to push and clambered out of bathtub to give 6 great heaves and our DS was born in our loungeroom, like his sister, at 8.37pm - very healthy, no real trauma for me and we finished up with mimosas and groaning cake while the washing finished and the bed was made up - still stunned but you get that :)
Thank you to everyone for their wishes, especially for our homebirth and support - it has been wonderful - I hope to keep popping in to see everyone hold their little ones!
Much love
Karen van
