Hi girls It's so nice to see so many friendly faces in this thread Most of you already know that I got my on boxing day

Mollycat YAY, little Matilda arrived safely and I love that name!

I am excited to be 4 weeks pregnant today and I feel like all is well this time I went to the GP yesterday and got blood taken so I will be looking forward to getting those results back on Monday. I've also booked my 8 week and 11 week scans with my OB, they are on Jan 25th and Feb 15th... I will be very much relieved when those dates pass and all is still well.

Well today is the end of 2009 and it's been the biggest roller coaster ride of my life so far! dh went of a cleaning spree over the last few days so that we could start the new year feeling all organised and sorted. My last job to do today is take down the christmas tree, clean out the cupboard that gets 'every' used jar we buy stuffed in it and to vacuum and mop... Then for the most important part of the day when dh gets home from work, before we go to bed I am going to smudge the house with sage from our herb garden... I will no doubt sound like a hippy but sage smoke clears out all energy so that you are back to square one... Seeing 2009 has been so full of different energies it will be fantastic to start 2010 with a clean slate of happy thoughts and a new buba growing inside of me

Cherished, I spotted your new ticker in the TCCAML thread as I was catching up this morning. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy to see you in here! Stay positive, stay well and stay happy xox

Hard to keep track of where everyone is at now. Who's next to pop? I'm on such brain fade that it's driving me nuts.

Getting loads of braxton hicks lately. Weird thing is that a lot of the cramping is happening in my lower back. With DD1&2 it was all in my belly. Hurts less in the back but feels very weird. I'm hoping it means a lower back labour which is apparently less painful than a belly labour!! I could be very wrong though! lol

Happy new year everyone! (and please ignore my total lack of persies!!)

Hello! Hope everyone had a good Christmas! We sure did. It was really nice to be home with my family and be taken care of for a while. We just got home last night and all three of us have picked up a stomach bug so we're all laying low for the next few days. Back to taking care of ourselves.

We had a bit of a scare the day before we left on holiday. I started spotting (again). Looking back now, it really wasn't that much but of course at the time it seemed like heaps and I was freaking out. My Dr. got me in for an U/S right away and thankfully everything was just fine. Got to see baby's heartbeat and the tech said he/she was measuring right so I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. She gave me two little pictures which we used to announce our pregnancy to our friends and family back home.

Tashybabe oh just stay calm as you can. and go to the Hospital if things get worse, they can always do a bt for you.

OMG Cherished you made it so happy for you. How are you feeling? Sage is a wonderful clenser and a great idea for the new year to come.

Smallfryplus my bh are in my belly. oh no pain is comming isn't it?

TwinSister, glad all is ok and you got to see your bubba.

ATM HOT and overdoing it according to my OB. my BP was 135/80 yesterday and my ob is telling me to "think about not working" I almost cried ladies. Like I haven't been thinking about it! So not only is it 41C today but my brain is almost in melt down. I guess with weekly ob visits now I can see how I go next week. I have enough sick leave but I was hoping to keep that for any baby sick days next year. SO MANY DECISIONS.

So new years for me is going to be pretty quiet. I'm going to get my sketch pad out and do something to comemorate 2010. Tomorrow DH is going to do a belly cast for me, which will be so good. He's decided that my boobs have to be done as well. Gee I wonder why although it will give perspective.

I hope you all have a great New Years and happy 2010

twinsis glad everything is ok. Nothing like that heartbeat to make you feel calmer.

tashybabe as zstar said, bleeding is very common, however, if it gets worse, I agree with greenslw, head out to the doc or hospital and get them to check it. My ob was incredibly surprised when I told her I don't get any spotting or bleeding during preg. According to her, that's the exception, not the rule and that most preg have some spotting at the very least. All the same, I hope you're through it safely already.

greenslw that's quite high bp! And yes, pain is acoming! I try not to think about it but with people constantly being amazed that I still have two months to go and telling me how huge I am... I'm beginning to get very afraid! Haven't decided when to do the belly cast yet but I do have all the stuff for it and have been very determined to do one this time. Can't wait! Let us know how yours goes tomorrow. And for what it's worth, I agree with your hubby, the boobs have to be in it! Gives it the full picture, otherwise it would just be a big round thing!

AFM just went out and bought a heap of fresh fruit from my favourite green grocer. Pineapples, watermelon, rockmelon, nectarines, strawberries... it's in the fridge now getting cold then I'm going to scoff quite a lot of it down!! Still deciding if I still want to make vegetarian chicken tika masala for dinner or not (yes, fake chook in it... haven't tried this one yet! Cop this though, it gets better, I recently made a VEGAN butter chicken for my sis!! heheehe it was great). Suspect DH will insist on having it as fruit will not satisfy him at all for dinner even if it does satisfy me!

Greenslw you sweet thing thanks for your message When were you thinking of leaving work? Gosh I wish I could just be at home for the whole pregnancy and never go back to work

Smallyfry are you a vego? my dh has been vego for about 15 years and me for about 4. I am starting to worry about it though now that I am pregnant... I hadn't been in the past but my acupuncturist (who I credit for helping me get pregnant) suggested that I try to eat some red meat once a week to help my liver which was blocking the energy flow down to my baby making area... He has given me herbs which are doing the trick but it is still heavily on my mind OH and I'd loooove that recepie of the butter chicken and tika masala they were my fav indian dishes until I went vego so would love to make a vego alternative... There is a great vego thread on BB if you'd also like to share them there

AFM I've had a HUGE day!!! I ended up rearranging all the kitchen cupboards it's much better this way but dh will be lost when he opens them to find a plate or something hehehhehe. I'm still yet to go into town and do some grocery shopping after I take that darn christmas tree down! Thanks goodness for nana naps

Cherished - I used to be entirely vego but now just mostly. I was brought up vego and didn't eat meat til I was in my mid to late teens. Never been a big eater of it and was only chicken and a bit of fish but not real keen on either. I've gone through nearly 3 pregnancies vego and have had no problems with not eating red meat. The only supplements I take are elevit and vitamin d and for once in my life my iron levels are actually good! They're usually a little low but not disastrously so. Will jump into the other thread for the recipes... though the tikka was actually a premade sauce that I mixed green beans and snow peas into with some veg chicken stuff that I found at a vegetarian chinese grocer.

PS. all the chrissy decorations came down last night Not that I'm feeling smug or anything!! lol Such a relief to have everything back to 'normal' though as for some reason it always looks a little messy with all the Christmas stuff up. Though now everything looks blank!!

Cherished - I just had to pop in and say CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy. Sticky Vibes for you

tashybabe - hoping the spotting settles, just take it easy as you can and if you need, go and see a doctor or the emergency dept at your hospital.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone

Matilda is coming along just fine. She will now sleep 3-4 hours or more at a time, although she feeds for a couple of hours during the night between blocks of sleep, and is starting to be quite content just laying around watching the world go by. I'm really dreading going back to work in February, although I am lucky enough to work from home, so I won't miss out on her.

Smallfry I have the opposite from ppl, You are quite small aren't you? My belly cast looks great. DH was very cute when he got over the fact he was putting stuff on my boobs men. Make the time and do it when you can. I had this feeling that If I leave it it will be too late. Not that I"m having a feeling on the Due Date but my belly is really doing weird things and things seam to be getting stronger. Hmmmmmmm Fresh fruit.......

I second the no work motion Cherished. My friend didn't work for any of hers and she always seamed so calm. Nana nap sounds like a good idea.

ATM my left side is being horrible. Last night period pain then pelvis pain and I was unable to find a comfortable spot, not sitting, standing, lying, I cried for ages, then went to the chemist and got some pills, which are working. I'm scared if labor is like that I'm not going to cope. But I guess you have a break not solid pain for 6 hours.

Well my belly cast is now done and looks beautiful, It looks huge but I guess I am. DH was so careful but in the end really got into it. Such a wonderful memory for us, I highly recommend it. If you can't find the plaster bandages they are on EBAY I used 4 but could have used another 1.

Well it's 2010 what an amazing decade 00 was 10's will be even better.

OMG i can't actually believe I am getting to post on PAML, it seems like forever since I joined the TTC thread back in April. I don't yet have the guts to make a pregnancy ticker until I've had me second lot of bt on tuesday. For those who I haven't kept up with I have been doing IUI at the clinic this was my 2nd cylce with injections. I got a faint hpt positive on 29th (called 3 people at 4.30 in the morning to tell them because I was so excited!!!) then confrimed by bt yeasterday best New Years ever even though I was completely sober and needed a nap between 9.30 and 11 so I could be awake to see in the new year

Cherished I am so happy you are in here with me and about the same way along too. From my o day I'm exactly the same as you 4 weeks 1 day (if they take it from my period date,6/12 which they said they do then I'm only 3 wekks and 5 days!) Seems a bit silly to me since they know the exact day I concieved!

It is great to see how far along some of my other girls from the TTC thread are.

The psychic I saw in November said I'd be pg by Christmas and I was so I'm clinging to the fact that she said my baby girl will make it all the way this time

cherished & sunbeam, it's such a pleasure to see you both in here that it brings me to tears of happiness. I joined up in April and you were both there with me going through the same things as me and I have been waiting for you both to move across! Still a couple other ladies to come on over but we're getting there!

greenslw - being your first it won't get all that huge. My ob keeps telling me not to stress about how big I'm getting because they just keep getting bigger and bigger as you have more cos everything has already stretched etc. Make sure you do casts for any future pregnancies as well!! I'll probably do one in the first week of Feb, maybe a little later, depends how I'm feeling really. My sis has volunteered to paint it for me as I haven't got any artistic talent and she is incredibly talented. I'm thinking about getting my daughters involved in it too, perhaps just for hand prints on it though as my younger has no patience for putting genuine thought into her artwork.

cherished - hope you have a chance to try the recipe, it really is a great flavour sensation. I wish I could sleep so much! Having the same prob as greenslw, very difficult to get comfortable and when I do manage to sleep, I keep waking to pee or waking because my hips are aching etc.

I gotta be honest and fess up to having been lucky enough to have three pregs and not have to work during any of them. I have done a small amount of work towards the end of this one but only on a casual basis and only for a few days at a time and that's over now. I admire women who are able to work through preg as I can remember how tired I was first tri and I could barely get off the couch, slept almost all day every day and night as well!

Keep it going girls! Glad to see this group growing!!
