omg jess - thats crappy treatment - is there another hospital close by you can go to??
what did they say with the bedside ultrasound? did they see anything
what did the on call dr say it could be??
im sorry you have been treated like that  maybe its just bubs way of telling you to take it easy..

Aish- Horrible service! Basically gave me no advice and said i was too early to do anything. So when I got home I called my OBGYN office on call dr to ask advice. They are afiliated with the hospital we want to give birth in which is 30 minutes away, i went to the in town hospital which sucked. The dr on call said unless i want to go to er up there to wait util monday to speak to my dr....
i feel so un cared for...
Im the kind of person who HATES hospitals..DH knows i wouldnt have gone unless i really was hurting. This pain has been constant now for 8 hours

TheMRs~ yeah it sucks that the hosptials will make you sit in the er until 20 weeks i am thinking of you and passing you good vibes hoping this hurcane does not hit were i am
-
I'm sorry that they treated you like that Jess, but unfortunately most hospitals have that 20wk policy & wont do anything to help you before then it sucks.
Anyways i really hope the pains eases up & it's nothing serious
-
Jess, I hope the pain has gone and it was nothing to worry about. All hospitals (at least in Aus - and it seems in the US too) only send you to maternity from 20 weeks. In Australia it is where a baby is termed a stillbirth as opposed to a miscarriage. Fairly arbitrary I think! I hope bubs was nice and happy, even on the crappy ultrasound and that you've been able to get some rest. I'm glad DH was there to see you through - it is better to have someone with you through that time!
angel - good luck with Irene, I hope she passes you by and you are safe!
DS had what is possible his worst night ever last night. And that includes the newborn time. He was completely hysterical most of the night and we could not fathom what the hell was wrong. DH and I are completely knackered. I hope he sleeps well tonight! We definitely don't need a repeat. On the plus side, went and visited a dear friend yesterday who has her new baby at home now. They're doing really well :)

Alish- luckily no bleeding...just horrid pressure and pain that has not gone away
Angelfish- I hope you guys are ok over there! Stay safe!
Cheshire- Yeah it sucks being right before the 20 wk mark...and its scary to think if any thing were to happen..only a matter of days would be the difference :(
WBM- Yeah the crappy u/s thing was ridiculous..i've been there before in ER with previous mc, so I knew they had better ones...they were being lazy
Thanks everyone for your concerns! DH is making me sit on my butt and eat pizza and watch T.V. :) Im thinking if this is not preterm labour that im having serious ligament tearing/stretching. I had to wear a brace with DD just to walk because of the pain but that wasnt until 30 weeks? This is way to early for it..and way worse. I havent been able to stand striahgt all day without shooting pains radiating across my bikini line

Are you still peeing all the time?
If so maybe you do have an infection which could be causing the pain.
-
i agree with cheshire! id be asking for another uti test
-
TM I'd go back and demand antibiotics just in case its an infection which it sounds like to me.
Alish I hope bubs is cooperating and comes soon for you. Looking forward to your BA soon
Damprye how's things going
Hi to everyone else. Hope your all well.
Afm going to book in my 20 week scan tomorrow. I'm so nervous. I hope everything is ok with my belly monster I haven't felt proper movements for a few days now just niggles really but that is what happens with anterior placentas I've been told. I have my doppler so hopefully I can get a reading on it this afternoon :)

The Mrs - In Australia they won't send you up to maternity until 20 weeks but when I went to the ER with bleeding at 15 weeks they brought a doctor down from maternity to see me. Even though I know they can't do anything before 20 weeks, just being kind and reassuring can really help you mentally which can help improve the physical problem. The way you were treated really sucks!

hey all

he did an internal - cervix is soft but not dialated :( i now have period pain type pain all across my back & front
im soo over it :(
-
Alish i know how you feel, but the longest you have to wait is 3 & half more weeks, Your so close now.
Just keep thinking positive thoughts & don't let it get you down
-
Alish - it will happen! Eventually, longest part of a pregnancy that bit...
Jess - hope you're feeling better, I agree with the girls, get your UTI status checked, and if they're still saying your urine's clear, get them to check your kidneys too (even just to make sure they're not tender). Your DH sounds lovely, I hope he's still looking after you!
Hope everyone else is well at the moment :) This bubs is a little rockstar in there - just keeps on dancing. It's nice :) I just organised one of my mothers' group friends to be my student midwife support person :) It helps her with her studies, and gives me another person in my corner. DH was so not fussed about it, it was lovely. I certainly wouldn't have asked her if he wasn't ok about it. I reckon she can tell him what to do and he wont feel as useless! She's had two of her own bubs too, so I know she's done it naturally twice - anything to increase my odds of a VBAC.
My SIL was due on Saturday - I can't wait to meet my nephew and be an auntie at last! They're going to be awesome parents. He's a lucky little boy :)
Cheshire - Stoked's little boy is called Zac William and PM's little girl is Jordana (Jordy) - for the list :) lovely names!

Hey girls! Sorry I didn't update..seems I pulled a muscle in my abdomen pretty bad and that is what was causing all of the pain. I was checked for an UTI about 3 days ago and it came back great so no UTI. The pulled muscle doenst affect the baby but it sure hurts me. Slowly over the days it has been getting better, so anticipating no more pain.
Alish- if it makes you feel better, I was a fingertip dilated the day my water had broke. My cervix was soft as well, but not dilated either. 8 hours later...my water broke! :) So..you never know!! Besides..being dilated doesnt mean a whole lot because I have known people who were dilated to a 4!! for weeks
3 more days until my ultrasound!
-
jess - so glad to gear its *just* a pulled muscle - even though that is still painful its not the worst news ;) very relieved for you!
not long now til you see your little one/find out the sex!!!
omg the internal he gave me yesterday gave me pains all night! i should just get dh to put his fingers up there and have a dig around haha!
i think i was more disappointed cuz my dr def wont be there to deliver the baby now.. he goes overseas for 6 weeks and today was his last day. now i have to see random people who i dont even know :( oh well thats life! i didnt think it bothered me but it does!
wbm - that will be nice - to have an extra support person! glad dh wasnt fazed! has your sil had the bubs?
hello to everyone hope youre well & have a lovely day xoxo
