Even though my Ob didn't want me going too far over (because of said complications), he monitored me every day or two and wasn't going to induce until my cervix was favourable - I love him. Pity about the $, especially losing half a week's pay. Just remember 42 weeks is still full term, and you can go a bit past that if you want.

Oh, I've since found out that if you say to them "I elect to not have continuous monitoring, you can do intermittent monitoring only" they sorta hafta abide by you. I've never done it, but it'd be worth it! Sending you dilation vibes... C'mon cervix... lol
