Telly - thanks for the pep talk this morning, I sooooo needed it

Ferrals - Welcome home hehe!! I hope you're recovering well, can't wait to catch up more and hear all about Ella.

Everyone else - thanks for the vibes!

AFM - Well the news you've all been waiting for : apparently I'm in early labour. The hospital asked me to come in and it turns out my waters are leaking. Not the most pleasant feeling, ew. I'm also dialating but they didn't do an internal after they discovered my waters are leaking in case of infection, but she said she could see it was opening. Yay for that. They gave me my options, as ctx were 5mins apart and showed up beautifully on the ctg. I decided to come home and wait for things to intensify rather than be induced or wait there in the ward. I had lunch, and a hot shower followed by a lovely nap. I was disappointed things weren't really happening, but as soon as I woke up and tried to get up I realised I was having a ctx. DP says I'm doing well and was as surprised as me that I really am in labour, as we're still able to carry on as normal except that I stop and grimace occasionally, lol.

So far so good! One particular midwife commented on the way I was smiling and laughing while I held my belly and said owww. We'll see how long I can keep that up, lol. If I don't need to go in tonight, the mw said to come back in the morning.

Next time you hear from me I'll be a mummy! Until then, stay tuned for Tellytubby's announcement on my behalf.

Forshelby - Yay!!! I think my Little Miss is waiting for you to have your bub first lol Can't wait to read your BA!!!

Ferrals - Yay on you being home! Glad things are improving *hugs*

afm - not much happening, the odd contraction every now and then, but they're averaging an hour or so apart at the moment. Blah, they'd better be getting some more dilation happening or I'm going to be seriously annoyed lol

Just a quick question for those who have dilated and been through natural labour before - Did you ever notice that you felt looser or more open down there in the pelvic area?
Just thought I'd ask as I woke up on friday morning feeling different down there, and every day I wake up and it feels more open and loose, not by physically touching it, just by how I feel when I stand, walk, sit down, lie down etc.

Forshelby: You are a champion! Doing so well! Can't wait to read your BA!

Jenna: What patience you have! Hmm, can't remember feeling more 'open' approaching birthing. Sorry! But it's probably different for different people. Looking forward to hearing your news too.

Iona: You must be in the race too! So close!

    Hi everyone else!

Forshelby looking forward to your BA.

Ferrals I haven't posted (except the day you had Ella) but just wanted to say I have been thinking of you especially on the 20th and praying you have a quick recovery. Dido to Possum Magics post Welcome home Ferrals and baby Ella!

Joeve I'm so excited for you. CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP (and any other newbies in here I've missed) We were in the 12+ month thread for a while together. FX for a fab BT. I'm sure it will be but can understand your anxiety. I was exactly the same.

Alish yeah for your scan yesterday.

JennaJayen I feel the opposite down there. I feel all swollen and tight (but I do have varicose veins) Insdie feels smaller then usual but I have this immense pressure like something is going to fall out.

Well right now I am too heartbroken to go on with personals. BB another time.

Yes girls I'm just completely shattered for Ahurani, her partner and family. Like Joeve we were in the 12month plus ttc together for close to a year and the 6month plus before that. We both got BFP weeks apart and both having little girls. Ahurani was the first person I told I was pregnant (even before DH) as I was on FB and freaking out. Her gorgeous girl was conceived with alot of hard work, tears and assistance so I'm completely heartbroken for her. I would be anyway but the journey to get Hayley makes it so much harder to deal with. Obviously been a midwife I know how these things happen but I'm still in shock that it could happen to Ahurani after what she is been through to get here. I could shoot God out of the sky right now if he is up there. I was fully expecting to read about her little ladies arrival this morning just not that she was taken too soon I'm sure everyone who has come across her on FB and BB feels the same way.
