Forshelby - Praying for a quick recovery for you darl, hope you start to feel better very very soon! And congrats again on your litle man Axel!
India's Mum - Yay on a good 12wk scan!
Hi everyone else!
afm - still here, still pregnant. Due date is tomorrow, have CTG monitoring first thing tomorrow morning, and I'm booked in on wednesday to have my waters broken, so hopefully I'll be holding Little Miss Dragonfly by this time on thursday if everything goes to plan
Had contractions coming every 5 mins and lasting 40-50 seconds on friday night, but as soon as I got up to the hospital they died down and I only had 2 while on the CTG machine.
Still getting them irregularly, spent yesterday timing them, and had 30+ contractions throughout the entire day but they were all over the place and varied between 4 minutes and 1hr 45mins apart.
So still just waiting and waiting and waiting, getting very impatient.
Hope you're all having a great weekend!
Oh Jenna, how exciting for you. How are you feeling about it all?? WHy are they breaking your waters so close to your EDD? Id say stop thinking about the ctx. They will either ramp up and you will know its real or they wont and you would have just waisted heaps of time and energy timing them. Enjoy these last few days of pregnancy (I know so easy for a non pregnant person to say).
Possium Magic! How are you? We are all good. Molly is the cutest with loads of smiles for her mummy, its so good for the selfesteem to have someone crack a huge grin for you every time they see you! Its probably not for you but your pregnancy is just flying for me
Dory How did the pram laps go? and your BF friendly outfit??
Ferrals: are you having a million visitors this weekend? Hope you are getting some rest!
Tegam - I'm over it lol, so ready for her to come out, but just taking it one day at a time at the moment. Decided not to do any contraction timing today, makes me feel a bit down when they don't become regular or start to become regular and then spread apart again.
I have Gestational Diabete's, so if I hadn't been so adament on having VBAC they would have booked me in for a c-sec at 38wks.
I don't think she'll be as big as they are thinking she might be - 9 days ago she was estimated at only being 7pd 9 and her legs have still been measuring 2 weeks ahead of dates in length, so that's not too bad, DS was 8pd 3 at 41+5 - and considering that I was 7pd 15 at almost 42wks when I was born and hubby was 10pd exactly we're not exactly wired genetically for having small babies lol
The good thing is that I'm a lot less uncomfortable this late in the pregnancy than I was with DS, I can still walk at least lol and I don't waddle as much lol
possum - a sweet potato, hahah! i crack up every week at your ticker!!
arghhh my tummy is sooo itchy!! i feel like a bit of a slob atm.. oh well!!
forhelby - sorry to hear you are not well, hope you make a speedy recovery! love the name too, its fantastic!
too tired for more persies, dh and i went to bed at 1230 and spent the next hour or so chatting about whats been going on lately, it was nice but now im buggared!
h everyone else hopw youre all well xxxx
Tegam-No we have had all the visitor's over the week so this weekend is just our family thank god so little miss gets to sleep in her bed and use to the quiet room during the day insted of being passed around she is such a good sleeper already i put her down in her cradle when she is grissly and tired pop her dummy in and she goes off to sleep.
How is your family going and little molly i bet your busy with all the little ones.
Jenna-not to much longer and you will have you bub in your arms.
looking forward to your BA.
thanks for the update on forshelby i hope she gets better soon
I am doing okay i think that Honor is having issues with the formula but weird the hair dryer calms her and puts her to sleep
Angel - no, most babies love those sort of white noises. Hannah used to like the vacuum but now? She won't tolerate it and just screams....
Ionna - 40 weeks yay! Thinking of you.
Jenna - GL with your monitoring tomorrow.
Ferrals - good that oyu got some family time. One week old already!
TegamM - yay for Molly.
Tegam thats just gorgeous little Molly's reaction to her mummy. How cute. Can't wait to experience that again.
Forshelby hope your recovering well and things are going from strength to strength.
JJ I hope labour starts on its own before Wednesday and if not the ARM kicks everything into gear and you have a lovely delivery.
Ferrals Ella is just divine. Love your ticker. And over a wek already. Gee thats hasn't gone slow (for me anyway)
Well hello to everyone else. I can't sleep, feel like I'm going to spew but its nothing exciting as its been going on for ages now. Hope this bub wants to make an entrance soon. I know it doesn't matter if she doesn't but I'm starting to really hope it just happens. I have an Ob appointment on Tuesday. Expect him to feel, listen and say come back in a week. I guess I'll find out if I have GBS and need ab's/ Hopefully not so I can stay at home a while during labour.
Arrr so tired but can't sleep. I've alrady folded the clothes (at 3am) and cleaned out 2 cupboards. Wish it was nesting but nope its not.
Mildez...i wish it was nesting too for you but sadly i think its just cleaning after you have had your first hehe! I hope the OB says you are 4cmsYAY to the cloth, trying to decide at the moment if im going to do cloth again with Molly or just stick with the huggies. DD1 was 99% cloth DD2 was 80% DS was 55%....you see where this is headed! Haha at the week going slowly for you, I bet it has flown for Ferrals. I have a girlfriend who is 36weeks and while we were both pregnant her pregnancy seemed to fly, now i saw her the other day and i asked her how far she was and she said 34weeks, i said "OMG thats going so slow!" she cried she was so happy someone was sympathetic to her! Everyone else thinks its so close but like you she is so close but also so far!
Jenna: How are you?
ella and ferrals!
Dory you make me smile whenever i read TegamM!
My baby is 3months old tomorrow!!!!!..................................tim e for another one????![]()
Lol Tegam. I think of having another already and shall I do both AF/BF so AF returns so I might get some fertility back and I'm yet to have this bub. Its on my mind on and off but. Its not on the cards but its also a possibility. I'd love siblings close in age. Our 18month-2yr gap has turned into over 2yrs.
Meant to get back on and update earlier, but forgot.
Nothing is happening here, had 3 mild contractions while on the CTG this morning, and the 4th in an hour started just as they turned it off. Haven't had many since and they're still not regular. Just waiting until wednesday now as I don't think she's going to come on her own.
Had a few very scary seconds 3/4's of the way through the monitoring where she made some really odd jerky movements and her heartrate suddenly dropped right down to 72bpm, thank god she fixed herself up really quickly though. The midwife thinks she was playing with the cord and pinched it too tight, so I just have to keep an eye on her movements for the rest of the day to make sure everything is alright. So far everything is going normal and she's being her usual wriggly self and sticking her foot up under my ribs.
*TMI* Threw up all my breakfast this morning, so that's 3 out of the last 4 days that that has happened... still feeling queasy and finding it hard to eat, but forcing myself to eat regularly so my sugar levels don't go too low.
Went for a 1km walk down to the shopping center earlier, turned into almost a 2km walk all up including walking around the center and then the 600+ meters from the bus stop I got off at on the the way home. My BGL's were down at 3.6 just before I left home, so I quickly gobbled a couple of jelly beans and then headed off and spoilt myself with a cup of coffee and a double choc chip cookie from subway lol was bliss!
And I'm going to have to invest in a chalk board for DS... I forgot to put the bucket of chalk back up on top of the wardrobe when I got home, and put DS into his room to go to sleep... 2 hours later I walked in there and he was bouncing on his bed and hadn't had a sleep and there was chalk squiggles on the walls near the door and on his 2 toy boxes and on the carpet! And chalk spilt all over the floor as well! I think I got it all cleaned up, but will have to ask hubby to double check tomorrow morning.
Think I'd better go and get some dinner organised for when DS decides to wake up, he didn't go down until almost 6:30, so it will be a while yet until he wakes up (I hope!) but better to have it ready to go now so that I can get him fed quickly so he can have another play before going to bed again.
I do wish things would hurry up and get a move on though so that I can send DS off to his nanna's place and have hubby to myself for a few hours or so before heading to hospy.
Hi girls!!
Ferrals - I have to start by saying how beautiful baby Ella is!! What a gorgeous cutie pie!! Glad you got some nice family time over the w/end! How are your boys with her?? They must idolise her already!
Tegam - lol at thinking about another.... i have a very big feeling i will be just the same!! hehehe! Molly - 3mths tomorrow! OMG!! I cant beleive how quick that has gone! Wow!! Happy 3mth Bday tomorrow baby girl!!
Jenna - wow you were a busy girl today!!! Thats outta get things movin for ya!!!
Mildez - NOthing worse than not being able to sleep! Soo frustrating!! I hope tonight is better for you!!! Have you finished work yet??
Dory - how are you and HB? Did you find a nice BF outfit?!
Possum - hello! 4D scan was good but unfortunatly bub was face first in my placenta so didnt get and pics that were that much better than last time! BUt bub is so chubby now! Couldnt believe its cheeks and arms! Too cute!!!! HOw u feeling?? YOur cruising alomng nicely now! look at that ticker scootch along!
Hi to everyone else i have missed, hope you and your bubs are well!!
AFM - going well here except i have been having an extremely painful sharp pain on my low lefty side, like below my undie line... so sharp had me in tears yesterday! Is this round ligament pain?? Bub is moving around like normal so that good! I have a scan tomorrow morning to check my kidneys and bubs size so i will get there opinion too i guess!?
I spent that day washing all bubs clothes yesterday! Aww my clothes horse looks soooooo cute!!! Im already packing them in my hospital bag!! Im so excited! How many jumpsuits will i need in hospital!?! And Size 0000 or 000??? Oh im confused!!!
Tegam: I really can't believe Molly is 3mths already! And you are right: my pg doesn't feel like it's flying for me but i felt really cheered up when you said it feels fast for you: it made me think that it's not going as slow as i think! It also reminded me of all the pg ladies whose tickers i have watched move along and before you know it they are holding their babies. It made me more optimistic that i'll get to the end too!
Alish: Thanks, i'm enjoying my ticker too! I like it when it comes up with a fruit or veg that sounds like a cute nickname eg 'my little plum', 'my little sweet potato'. I just wrinkle my nose and move on when it's something non-cute like an onion! (My east favourite was the prune near the beginning!) I can't believe how far along you are too!
Oh Jenna, I feel sorry you've had such a drawn out niggly pre-labour. It must be keeping you on the edge of your seat. I'm glad you'll be moving along by Wednesday and get to meet your little one. Looking foward to your BA!
T-Hopes: I remember my confusion about baby clothes before i had DD : ) If you have an average size baby (as my DD was) you'll need 0000 for about 3- 4wks. I found that the 000 just swam on her until then. If you have a 10pounder (hope not for your sake!) you can go just about go straight to 000!
Mildez: you know you are at the business end of things when you can't sleep and you're cleaning out the cupboards in the middle of the night! Poor you with the spewy feelings too : ( I hope your little miss arrives early as hoped.
India's mum: How did it go telling your DD? Mine is getting into the idea of us having a baby. She got into bed with us this morning and patted my tummy. She said "I'm being gentle to the baby...the baby asked for a pat." She also asked where the baby was going to sleep and offered to share her bed!
Hi everyone else i missed...
AFM: I've really popped in the last two weeks. I'm suddenly very pregnant looking. Did i mention that already? (Baby brain i can't remember). I'm a bit embarrassed actually. Am i too fat for an 18 weeker?? (Not that i've gained that much weight... i don't think. i'm only 1.5kg heavier than pre-baby weight). I was never embarrassed about my tummy with DD. I love the pg look generally. Not sure why it feels funny this time. I think i'm still scared to tempt fate by acting like i'm having a baby. Maybe also it's because (in the same mindset) i haven't announced my pg widely at work: i just told 3 or 4 key people and am letting my body announce the rest!
Sleep arrr I almost forget what thats like. I was thinking I was in early labour but I think its now fizzled out. I'm so so tired so I'll be going back to bed in a moment. I'd clean the house if there were not 3 people sleeping at the moment. The washing machine etc is a little loud at 1am in the morning. Well I may have had a show, I may not have. I don't know whats going on. My back is killing me and I've had some niggles. The stuff coming out down below is like a show but the wrong colour. Its such a large amount I need to wind it up with the loo paper to clean up down there. Its exactly like my last show in consistency just not colour. There is literally no colour to it. Anyway when this happened with DD she was born less then 24hrs later but hers also was very coloured which is why I dont know if it is or not although the amount is excessive. I have an Ob appointment at lunch time today so I'll ask him and hopefully he will do a speculum (he wont do a VE seeing as he wont want to start anything and thats all I need probably to get the ball rolling seeing as I'm niggling) What ever is coming out is heaps but I'm sure my waters haven't broken as its thick alhtough my pants are damp.
JJ I hope something exciting is happening for you down below and you miss your ARM on Wednesday as little miss has already arrived. I've still got 2weeks until my EDD but am starting to feel its dragging a little. I'm not complaining but will admit these last few weeks are hard.
T-Hopes hope you have a great scan today. Nope I'm still working. I'm suppose to work today but I think I might give it a miss. Maybe I can be up there labouring instead lol. Oh how tragic but. There already short staffed and if I cancel that means there is 2 midwives down. Not happy Jan. Last shift is 5th April (I'm only doing 5hr shifts now 5pm-10pm) I have a feel now I wont be making it until then. Thursday would be such a great day to have a baby. Even Wednesday would do. I like even numbers but I have child care for DD on Thursday.
Well as I've spent 30mins writting this nothing has happened. I feel nothing else down below and no niggles just back pain. Of to bed and see if I can string a little longer together.
Oh my goodness.. I was lost (again!) but now I'm found (again!). Congratulations to all the ladies who have their babies in their arms finally! All the best to those of you that are nearly there! Hope you have beautiful births!
Things going well here. Baby is moving ALOT now, such a relief to feel him every day! He is getting so strong too! Can see his kicks from the outside! Getting lots of BH already. But apart from that still not feeling very pregnant! It's pretty obvious now though! Hehe!
Will try to be a better contributor now I've found you all! x
