T-hopes: Hope you are recovering well. Thanks Mr T-hopes for the update!
Bec: welcome to the thread. I hope you are blessed with a drama free pregnancy.
Melster: issues with DH sound very tiring. I hope things settle down soon. Great that you've finished work. It makes the baby's arrival feel so much closer i think when you go on mat leave.
Wannabemum: Healthy vibes to you: wishing you a quick recovery with your back.
Cheezelmonster: the first few weeks are pretty full on when you already have a toddler. I hope you can rest a little when he does.
Cheshire: good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
Damprye: I hope you are going ok, recovering from your infection and they can hold off labour for a few more weeks. A friend of mine was in hospital for weeks (from about 26 weeks i think) with leaking fluid. She made it to 34 weeks which was excellent. Baby was fine.

Hi everyone else (doing persies from memory so missed a few i think)
AFM: 9 more weeks at work... and counting!

Thanks for the healing vibes - unfortunately I think another 26-odd weeks +around 6 weeks after is what will help my back. I had pretty bad pelvic instability with DS and it's certainly coming in early this time. I've woken up feeling pretty good today so we shall see how we go at kindergym today! I've got underlying sacro-iliac (where the spine meets the pelvis) damage/injury which doesn't help. Yesterday I was feeling hot pokers in my pelvis. Today just an ache - hopefully I can get some exercise in and stop eating bad food so that I can stop gaining weight! Weighed myself this morning and I've already gained 2kg! Oops.

Sorry about the me post - I assure you there will be persies later

    Hello!

Were finally home... bub still safely in belly We were finally discharged today after 3 night in hosp. As my DH said, they kidney stent all went fine. I had a spinal block in the end so it was much safer for bub! Blooooody hurt though! I was suppose to be home that night but they wanted to keep me in cause i started to have a lot of braxtin hicks... once i was transfered to the ward and i started to get feeling back in my legs i was in so much pain so they sent a midwife down with the doppler to check on bub and bub was fine but the BH turned into full contractions so they took us straight to the delievery suite and hooked me up to the monitors and i was having contractions every 3-4 mins!

We thought it was all on!! This went on for about 7hrs but they never progressed closer or stronger so the next morning my ob came in and said we shoudl stay another night and see how we go.... and well it kept happening til last night and finally home today Our ob said that he thinks it was an 'irritable uterus' stirred up from the op and the stress of the last few days.... the midwives and all the hosp staff were sensational!! we were looked after so well, had a beautiful private suite with a double bed in the mat ward so DH never left my side

A few hrs after i popped in here to tell you the sad news about DH's mum (the morning of my op), my dad was rushed by ambulance to hospital! He was put in an induced coma in ICU with pneumonia and septicemia! He was critical and they told my mum that they werent sure if he would make it! It was the most horrific 24hrs we have been thru!! Thank god - he is doing well! They took him out of the coma yesterday and he is stable! He is a very lucky man!!!

And back to bub news - we had to have a scan today and bub is now measuring est size of 7lb 15oz! What a little porky for 36 wks BUT my kidney has got worse again, stent doesnt appeared to have done a thing! and so bad that bub will be born on Monday via c-section!! So many emotions! Scared that bub isnt ready, excited to meet bub, disappointed that my kidney is still sick! So surreal we will parents on Monday! OMG! Ob examined me today and my cervix is till jammed shut and very firm so he feels that after all the trauma my body has been thru this week - my sick kidney and the fact that my cervix is closed, that a caesar would be a lot safer. We trust him so its all going ahead! Ideally i wish we could get another week but he said its far too risky that my kidney could give up so we dont have a lot of choices!

Sorry for the HUGE me post, but i think thats pretty much up to dated you with the last few days! Sorry if it doesnt all make sense, i have only had a few hrs sleep so i will be back tomorrow after im less zombie like!

    xx

T-Hopes-7lb 15oz that is a good size sometimes they can be a bit off with size but at least you know bub is on the big side not undersized and 37 weeks is classed as full term my DS3 was born at 37 weeks 5lb 15oz and i went home 4 hours later so dont worry Ella was 38 weeks and perfect and the lady in the bed next to me when i was in hospital had her 7lb 9oz boy at 34 weeks and he was perfect i cant wait to see your BA and what you have boy/girl i am thinking BOY!!!!!.
And sorry the op was a flop and you have had a rough few days hope you can get some rest over the weekend because on monday you become a family of 3.

Hi everyone, have been reading but this is the first chance I've had to actually post, just thought I'd do the old copy & paste update with a few extras added in

Damprye - Hope bubs stays put for a bit longer an that you get better really quickly!

T-Hopes - Sorry the kidney op didn't work but YAY on getting to meet your bub on monday!

Those going through tough times - Sending you all lots and lots of HUGE HUGS!!!

Welcome to all the newbies! Wishing you all happy & healthy pregnancies!

afm - Elise has been really sleepy most days this week, got me a bit worried on wednesday as she only had 4 feeds for the day and then proceeded to keep chucking up until she was only bringing up clear watery stuff

DS had a bout of gastro on sat night/sun/mon, so he wasn't a happy little boy Now I've got it too... either that or I've given myself food poisoning from a piece of steak that was 2 days before it's use by date. Feeling really crummy at the moment. Cold chills and hot sweats are driving me bonkers! Hope Elise doesn't have it

Add AF into the mix and I'm not a happy person today. The p/p bleeding finally stopped around lunch time on friday, hubby and I DTD on monday & tuesday mornings (OMG I missed having a sex drive!) and then tuesday night I started spotting, thought hubby had hit something so just popped a pad on and didn't think much of it, but next morning it was heavier and it's just been getting heavier since. And it hurts! OMG the cramps are horrible! I hate the Witch!!!

At least DS has been mostly well behaved today, makes things easier when I'm not feeling very well.

Elise is smiling all the time now - not very often when she's sitting up, but almost always when she's lying down. I just haveto say hello to her and she breaks out in a huge smile And she's discovered her hands lol a bit earlier she was trying
to shove both of them in her mouth at the same time and trying to smile at me while she did it lol I'm so in love with her. We even managed 2 5-min breastfeeds last night. Score 1 for me!

She's currently having some floor time in front of the heater and is loving it! Smiling at me every time I talk to her and staring at me when I'm not talking to her lol she's a real mummy's girl today - wednesday night we had her in bed with us for a little bit and she refused to look at me, it was all eyes on daddy and all her smiles were reserved for him, it was so sweet.

I have also decided that I want more kids lol not right away, but in 3-5 years time I'd like to start trying for another, but hubby still doesn't want any more. He keeps on bringing up the financial side of things as a reason not to have more kids. P's me off a bit.

Last saturday we had to make an emergency dash to the royal melbourne dental hospital as I had been having jaw pain for 2 & 1/2 weeks and it had become so bad that I was having to take 8 mersyndol and 6 panadol a day (not good I know, but as I'm still expressing I didn't want to take anything stronger). Got told that my bottom wisdom teeth are both dead (they both cavities the size of peas in them and the roots go right through my jaw and are touching the nerve canals) and they could either remove them then and there and risk damaging the nerves in my jaw for 3-6months causing numbess and complete loss of taste and feeling, or there was a hih chance that the damage would be permanent and I'd never be able to taste or have feeling from the ears down ever again. The other option was surgery to remove the teeth, so I opted for that. They said I should get a call this week to see the specialist and book in my surgery, I called them the other day and the specialist was busy so they said they'd call me back, but I haven't heard back
So I still don't know when my surgery will be I just want these teeth out already, at least I'm not on the heavy painkillers anymore, only had 2 panadol so far today and they came right back up this morning along with the antibiotic not long after I took them, so it's really like I haven't had any at all today lol it's nice to not have all that horrible pain, it's just a ull throbbing and ache in my skull at the moment.

    Have a great weekend ladies!

Cheshire- Thanks It's good to be back

WannabeMum- If you're looking to dispose of the shredded paper usefully, it goes great in compost or pet shops and other places are always looking for some Pity about no sleep in. My DS was away for the night so I went to bed at 8 and got up at 8 lol, I'm so lazy

Lol XDP is snoring so loudly this morning, think it might be from the few drinks with the boys last night haha. Is it just me or do men turn into dopes once a couple drinks are in them? Lol

LsynDan: all the best for a healthy happy pregnancy!
Damprye: Good to see your name in here. Have been thinking about you and hoping all is ok. It sounded from posts like you were in danger of early labour for a while? I assume they drs have been able to slow things down cos bub is still in there baking which is great. Yup, i'm enjoying the movement too and so are DD and DH. DD asks me to tell the baby to kick her then shrieks in delight when baby obliges!
Wannabemum: Oh, i'm so impressed you are doing some sorting. I desperately need to go through more papers and things in the house to make way for more of our current stuff (especially for things in the baby's room). I find it soooo hard to throw things away. I can look at a pile of papers (related to the work i do) and I haven't looked at them in years but i'll still think "gee that looks interesting, it might come in handy down the track!" D'oh! you'd think i'd learn by now! I find it easier to throw away old bills and stuff. Oh, and 6am starts... I sympathise. We've been there! I remember that anything before 6.30 (and certainly before 6) felt just too early. I'm a bit spoilt now: DD is generally sleeping til 7.30 or so. (But it did take three years!) She now comes in to wake me whispering "Mum, it's me, can we get up now?" and brings me my slippers to coax me out of bed! Very cute.
Kellbell: good to hear from you. Hope all is going well with your family and Ella is enjoying her baby brother!
Melster: Hang in there! NEarly there. IKWYM though about starting to be over it. You're a few weeks ahead of me but today for the first time i thought: yeah, i think i'm getting to that point. Starting to get uncomfortable and wanting my body back too. Can't wait till baby is here.

AFM: Baby has found my ribs! For the first time yesterday when I lay on my side baby started pushing up against my ribs. It's little legs must have just got long enough! Very cute if a little uncomfortable : ) 32 weeks today! Yay! So thrilled to be this far along. Really counting down now. Getting uncomfortable and starting to feel like i might have had enough of being pregnant soon. My DD is being very cute: She rubs my tummy, asks to feel the baby kick and squeals when it does. She kisses my belly and talks to the baby through my 'tummy phone'! She likes the idea that the baby can hear her and is getting to know her voice. She refers to all the things she can do because she is a 'big sister'. I hope she continues to be this happy about the idea once the baby is here and taking up heaps of her parents' time and making lots of noise!

I swear my brain is getting worse the more pregnant I get lol. To answer someones question, yes bub did attempt an early entrance. At 24weeks exactly I had PROM and threatened preterm labour. Still not sure what is going to happen yet, there is talk of inducing me at 36weeks because of it and am on weekly visits but I want to go to term, possibly longer. If they do decide to bring bub on sooner, I will let them because if that is strongly advised then I have no doubt that they only have mine and bub's best intrest in mind. Speaking of which, I am waiting at the docs again atm lol. Really enjoying just relaxing and letting things run their course rather than stressing. Can't control everything and I have to try my best to come to terms with that
Hi to everyone and I'll be back later for persies
